Friday, 07/03/2026 at 10:00pm I pit stopped at the Walmart located on 40130 West 10th Street Palmdale, CA 93551 to pick up some groceries to start the new week. I prefer to shop for my groceries in the store. I didn't know if it was just a bad time of the hour or just that night. I'm a usual that has a routine to my step. And I don't like dancing with partner's that have two left feet and can't keep up rhythm with me where everything should flow like a breeze in the wind and like melted butter on toast. I like to walk into a store within the last two hour's expecting to be in and out like Flynn. I gathered everything that I possibly wanted for groceries and took interest on a few gamers memorabilia clothing with the prices marked down. One now these day's can't beat $5.00 to $10.00 dollars being reasonably the price. A Cashier who reminded of myself when I sang and danced to the same tune 12 or 13 year's ago was at her very best at the time of the night. I remembered those long evenings of Closing that came about, but one still tries to put there best foot forward that being the Cashier even when tired. She was polite and asked me all the right questions but almost forgot to ring me up for the gamers memorabilia clothing that I let her know was going to be a separate purchase before hand. When I reminded her, she had just said, "Oh, and rang me up for those items. I was not frustrated with her but the customer prior to me that started a 10 to 15 minute conversation with her over an easy Yes or No question that broke her rhythm just before helping me. After ringing me up for the gamers memorabilia clothing, I took notice that she didn't remove any of the ESA security tags off of the clothing. So, I figured that someone was going to be at the door to check my receipt and remove the ESA security tags off of my clothing. I'm walking towards the exit with my cart of groceries and the gamers memorabilia clothing. And there is this young woman probably a few year's younger than me super obliviously on her cell phone. She's literally holding the cell phone in her face and was fascinated with it. I stopped past her and held up the two receipts for her to look at and she didn't look my way still so preoccupied by her cell phone. She did acknowledge that I was right next her and just said, "I greatly appreciate that... " I could have showed her a blank piece of paper or any kind of receipt and just walked out having robbed the store. I was frustrated with her customer service and had realized still that I had the ESA security tags still on my clothing and had already walked to my vehicle. Putting my best foot forward, I took a deep breath and walked back into the store with all of my purchases. When I came back entering the entrance, the same door greeter was now chit chatting with two of the guards and another associate. I walked up to her specifically and asked if I could have the ESA security tags removed off these pieces of clothing that I purchased. She didn't check my receipt and tell's me, " Oh, I'm so sorry about that. We don't carry the security tag removers up here. The registers only have them. You're going to have to get in line again to have them removed." When she told me that and didn't even offer to escort me so I wouldn't have to wait in line again. I was frustrated because it seemed like what ever she was doing on her cell phone and talking to other associates seemed to be more important than her paycheck for the unsatisfactory customer service that I received. I don't remember his name but I know that he was fully decorated like I would be back in my year's as a Cashier wearing a little red, white, and blue showing his patriotism. This Cashier seemed very approachable and I waited patiently till he had an open window to acknowledge me. He was taking care of another customer. I asked him politely if he could remove the ESA security tags off of the clothing that I had already purchased and was now sitting stale along with my groceries because of the laid back customer service. I told him that I asked the young woman at the door for assistance, but she relayed back to me that I had to go to a Cashier. He saw my frustration and didn't hesitate to remove the ESA security tags off of my clothes. He told me, "Try to have a good rest of your night. Okay," in a soft southern accent voice. I came in today trying to get a refund on a ps5 game and customer service was very rude ,unprofessional and a bit racist if you ask me The woman manager was trying to open the plastic seal on the game telling me it's open and we went back and forth arguing about it saying it's open I can't return it until the male manager basically told me I could return it within 15 days and on there sign on the back says ANY return without receipt in 90 days and since it's electronic it's a no return policy but yet when a male customer was returning an open trac phone next to me they didn't even bother to look at the product but for me it was all these questions and policies?? And all of them were African American so I don't know who's in charge but that it not okay and I hope corporate management sees this and approaches this situation asap ...no wonder they have 2 stars ??? Customer service is awful they need to put someone with more experience back there or management needs to step up and fix these internal issues read more

I have been here twice. And I can tell this is way bigger than the one in Lancaster. Aisles are wide, spacious, clutter free and like 3 carts can pass at the same time. Shelves are stocked and organized as well. Employees are around, ready to help out when you need something from the locked products. Absolutely the worst website return policy in the. I will try to divert my $5000+ annual spending at Walmart elsewhere and have already begun. They refuse to refund me a measly $6+ on a faulty product that I purchased at my Local Walmart store per the return instructions on the item. Amazon, Target, Home Depot, Lowe's , etc. know better than burn their faithful customers. I have called in 4 weeks in a row and spoke to a return representative to no avail. I am very happy for my other stores in my area and maybe this is a blessing in disguise because I am finding better prices elsewhere. read more

was aggressively communicated and misrepresented / lied too and lied about by a PA something manager and Cashier Riena. I finished earlier and checked out, my daughter had my card on her cell phone. While I was strategically packing my car, my daughter called. She said a cashier named Reina told her she could not make a purchase for a pocket knife due to her being a minor. I told her no problem, I would be inside in 5 mins and I forgot ice. I met my daughter by Reina who helped me finish my purchase just 10 mins ago. she started to tell me I was breaking the law by having a minor buy a knife. Confused, I asked my daughter if she was buying a knife. She was getting a multipurpose tool that has a pocket knife. it's not California law that minors cannot buy a knife but it is against Walmarts policy clearly since she was telling me, my daughter couldn't buy the multipurpose tool. Reina said no, that it was still being purchased by a minor. and I told her to get her supervisor. She went to her supervisor and told her supervisor I was having a minor buy a knife. Not even a knife, but a multipurpose tool. I got to customer service I pulled up the law that clearly stated it's not against the law. Manager, She then started to attack me aggressively communicating verbally in clear escalating statements. said " what kind of a mother would let her minor daughter by a knife", I told her that Walmart knows about organizations such as boys and girls scouts of America and it's not unreasonable and normal to have a multipurpose tool and pocket knife's are not considered knives as their inches are not the same size as an actual knife. Said " I am a mother and would never let my children buy a knife" I told her girls and Boy Scouts of America is educational and she should teach her kids, again her comment of " what kind of monther are you to let your daughter buy a knife, dont tell me what todo with my kids . " while she's literally lecturing me and aggressively communicating she's making statements that were abusive to decharacterize and be bias to exaggerate a multipurpose tool vs a knife. Shocked I said it's not a knife. She said you can't buy it. She then said I can refuse to who ever I want. As she dominated her position with power I asked for a form to file a complaint against her. I said " you can't do this" she then started to swear at me. Telling me she can do everything she damn well pleases, and she doesn't need todo a damn thing for me" she then again started to make inaccurate statements to exacterate and loudly say " what kind of mother are you to let your daughter buy a knife."she said " My daughter was at cashier 35 staring and the manager Patricia or patty her badge was covered only a PA showed, started to yell very loudly " why are you following me" while my daughter was behind her I would have to walk left to get to my daughter and I'm having an aggressive manager react to myself now walking to my daughter. She then called on her walkie talkie to security. Stating " step away from me and keep away" I felt fully unsafe, and I still had to get to my daughter who was at a register staring at us. I now was 1) accused of breaking the law. 2) aggressively communicated to escalate the entire situation and 3) being gaslighted and verbally abused by this manager on buying a knife vs a multipurpose tool because a pocket knife was and is attached. I then got to my car and took all the $200. Out and went back in. Determined to return it, When I got the front the manager then reappeared. She told her coworker who was returning my purchase that I " snuck in" " you have no right to speak to me, you are not going to be helped and don't talk to me". She then told her co worker to stop and freeze it and she would call 1800. security didn't have a problem with me but did walk with the manager as she told them I was trying to make my daughter buy a knife illegally. The abuse was unnecessary and the aggressive communication to claim dominance and intimidate me was astonishing. So disappointing.. I had 3 items I "needed" and I checked the Walmart app. This Supercenter location showed all in stock vs the Neighborhood Walmart closer to home, so I made the trip. I picked up several other things along the way to my toiletries. When I went to grab the items on my list, they didn't have the hairspray, they didn't have my mousse AND they didn't have my hair color in the desired shade. I asked 3 employees for help. 2 "didn't work in that dept" and the one said she could only find the hair color in stock on her phone, but she had no idea where it would be if not on the shelf. "Probably in the back" and then told me I'd "have to find someone willing to go find it". What? So I asked her who I should go to specifically for assistance, and she literally said "keep asking employees until you find one that is willing to go look". I left. I didn't even purchase the items I'd already selected because "I didn't feel like standing in line". This was an epic failure of whomever is responsible for training their employees. read more

Horrible Customer Service! As you all know, most of the items in this Wal-Mart Super Center is behind locked glass cabinets due to theft. I needed something that was locked up and just to get an employee with keys took 20-25 minutes and that's if you're lucky. It's as if there is only one employee that has keys to all the locked cabinets in this store. Don't even bother pressing the paging system to get an associate to help you. The system is just as useless as the employees. I understand that locking products up prevents and reduces retail theft but if you're gonna lock things up, you need to have more than just one or two (I doubt it) employees that have keys. This review is for a rude cashier we came across on 12/15/2025 between 8:45pm - 9pm. The employee was a short skinny light skinned black girl with curly hair and heavy elf-like blush. She had the nastiest attitude with my mom for no reason whatsoever. My mom was paying, I was standing to the side, she was asking to bypass the pin and the cashier did not bother to even try to help - just said press credit and that's not what you're supposed to do, so my she again said I want to bypass the pin but she figured it out as soon as she said that and this poor excuse for an employee rolled her eyes at my mom - unprovoked and out of nowhere. She knew I was watching her too. I was shocked because there was no reason for her to do that, my mom was nothing but polite and civil with her and she didn't even know this cashier rolled her eyes at her until I told her after we left the register. How dare you? I don't care what type of day you're having, you DO NOT take it out on others who did nothing to you. You're lucky I didn't go off on you right there, you would've went home crying. I went in today to grab few items. On my way out there was a piece of trash on the ground and I almost fell off my one leg scooter. I was able to catch myself from falling, but for safety I informed the woman who was working at 1:45p today 9/19 with pony tail. I said I almost fell off my scooter and pointed at the trash on the ground and she said ok thanks it looked like she got bothered. I didn't see her with any urgency, she didn't make a call didn't apologize, didn't do anything so that is my complain today. As a business owner I take information like this and I correct the issue. Luckily I didn't fall off my scooter and hurt my foot that is healing from a fracture. I bet nothing was done and no one at the store was notified to pick it up. read more

I went there Friday morning and had a basket full of merchandise, waited in the usual long ass line only to be told that there is no cash being accepted in the store and everything was card only. So I left it and walked out. You would think that they would have someone at the front door saying that only cards are being accepted and NO CASH....WTF...... the manager of this store must be a complete idiot. My son went to this location yesterday April 24th, 2024, for a full synthetic oil change on his 2012 Kia Optima costing us $61.85. This morning after I checked the service provided, I found that there was no windshield washer fluid added even though on our $$61.85 receipt it says that they added the windshield washer fluid, also several services that are included in the oil change was not done nor was he asked if he wanted them done even though on our receipt it says completed, and or declined. I'm curious to know what other services that we were charged for were not done? This is what happens when you take your vehicle to an automotive service establishment in hopes of good faith to only be lied to. I will be filing a complaint with customer service. read more

I placed an Instacart order on October 3rd, 2021. I was charged for the two bottles of Kahlua that were not delivered, the shopper explained to me that the manager at the Walmart on E Ave J had taken the bottles out of my order and that I should not be charged. I sent three requests via Instacart for a refund, but they refused, claiming on the last request that a week had passed and they can't refund now. The loss to me is $38+CA sales tax. Shoppers should watch their Instacart orders, compare the items delivered with the items you are charged for, and make sure you get your refunds. Wishing I had just gotten in my car and drove to Walmart to have a chat with that manager to let him know how I feel. read more

Between this location and the Supercenter on Valley Central, I have had a horrible experience. I would go to both locations for my oil changes over the past few years, because it was cheap and they do synthetic oil. What I was NOT prepared for was for my splash shields on the bottom of my car to come off and be dangling from my car, dragging on the road! When I took it in to get serviced, I was told there were about 30 clips MISSING from my shields. As I don't do any other handiwork, I can only assume it was the result of the Auto department giving me half-assed service, by not fully securing the splash shields back in place. If you choose this location for your oil changes, make sure they've secured your shields, as they clearly don't care enough to do it properly. read more

More than a quarter of the stores merchandise is locked behide glass doors! Trying to get someone to answer the call button is ridiculous! Either the call button is on an automatic shut off or like other stores, they have the ability to turn it off. I don't care, I'll keep pushing it every two to three minutes. The longest we had to wait for someone to open the case for Melatonin was 24 minutes! We had to wait another 10 minutes in the make up beauty area for razors, even though there were two associates stocking and another at the register and none of them had a key?! Why is there not a key in the register, not every associates needs a key, but one should definitely be kept at the mini registers in the various departments. So you don't trust your customers and you don't even trust your employees! Self checkout sucks! All that money you spent on converting the regular registers into self checkout zones, we don't like them! They should only be for 15 items or less, no alcohol, no items in the plastic security boxes or large items that need to be scanned with the gun. The weight scales on them are a pain in the ass, constantly going off asking you to please put the item on the scale. I already did and picked it up and put it down again! Not enough cashiers manning the self checkout area. My experience as a former Home Depot head cashier is that you should have one cashier for every 2 to 3 registers. The saving grace for this trip was the sweet, extremely courteous cashier at a regular register that pulled us over to check us out. She was funny and friendly, she bagged our items correctly. As in...cold items in our thermal bag and everything else in regular plastic bags. Now about the order pullers and the stock associates...they are rude! They act entitled to the right of way in the aisles. They do not move over or out of the way! I enjoy playing a good round of chicken with them! I always win! The last time I moved over out of the way for one of the order pullers, he didn't even say thank you or even give a head nod of thanks. So I said, "YOU'RE WELCOME!" and I will no longer move out of their way, they can go around me! I understand they are pulling orders for online customers, but I'm a customer right here, right now in your store! Have more respect! They all need to be retrained or supervised a little more closely. God forbid you need help on an aisle they are on, cause they won't help at all. I trained my cashiers and back up cashiers from the departments that if a customer ask you for help and it is not your assigned dept, you make an effort to help, ask what it is they need and if you are unable to answer or lack the expertise, you call for an associate from that dept to help or last resort a manager. You do not ever say you can't or won't help or that it is not your dept! I'll wait for my bimonthly trip to Santa Fe Springs, visiting my grandkids, and I'll hit that Walmart on the way home. They still have the rude order pullers, but the whole store is not on lockdown either! When the revamping of the registers/self check out was happening, I talked to a manager and told them too many self checkouts were a bad idea. I said their theft and loss was going to go way up! There are so many ways I caught people at HDs self checkout stealing, from tag switching, printing fake tags, fraudulent cards and just not scanning everything. Your profit loss increase is from self checkout, not in the aisles or by your employees! Horrible experience with the service department. After confirming with Patricia they had time to do my mother's oil change to come right in because they were slow and only had one car. I received a call from my mother crying that Walmart was giving her another car. They made her pay for a service that was done to another vehicle. The excuse was the cars were the same color make and model. I spoke with the manager that happened to be Patricia and I told her that it was unacceptable what they did to my mother they didn't even acknowledge her with her concerns until I spoke with Carlos an advisor. All Walmart did was eventually give her the right car didn't apologize or try to help her no acknowledgement what so ever! Service centers never go by the make or model or looks of a car. The hazard protection we added to each of our new tires we thought at the time would be a great deal. The problem is that when you turn around to go go use the protection, no one tells you that you will be waiting 4 hours to have a nail removed from a tire and patched. We went to Affordable Tire down the street and had it removed and patched in 20 minutes. It cost us $15 but time is money. There is something to be said about good customer service also. Have shopped here for years but no longer will! First off they have to lock everything up due to theft which is Walmarts fault for making almost every check out here self serve a few years ago. They seem have to changed that now and added in check stands with actual cashiers. If you have an extra hour to wait for people to come get all your items from laundry detergent to toys and legos then come here.
