The Antelope Valley Mall isn't what it used to be. It used to feel like a fun, lively place to shop and hang out, but now it's pretty run-down and half-empty. A lot of the stores that used to make it great have closed, and what's left feels limited and outdated. The mall itself looks like it hasn't been updated in years -- the floors, lighting, and restrooms could really use some attention. It also doesn't feel very safe at times, especially in the parking lot during the evening. Security presence is hit or miss, and there are often groups of people just hanging around without shopping. Food court options are okay but not great, and customer service in many of the stores seems tired or short-staffed. It's honestly disappointing, because this used to be one of the main places to shop in the Antelope Valley. Overall, it feels like the mall has lost a lot of its energy. Unless there's a specific store you need to visit, it's probably easier to just shop online or head to a different shopping area. read more

It is Saturday when I came here and as expected, plenty of people. And beside it is the holiday season. Shoppers are busy buying gifts. At the main entrance, Santa Photo Booth is set up. Kids with family are lined up. It gave me a smile remembering the days when I used to do it for my kids. My SO and I walked around the mall. I saw new stores that are open. Like the Marilyn's Boutique, Don Roberto's jewelry store and finally the Happy Hours Bar & Grill. Most of the stores have Sale signs and good deals like buy one get one at 50% off. The big stores like Macys have a good deal on the perfumes since I saw a lot of shoppers in that particular area. I will come back on a weekday to do my shopping. I am sure there will be less people. *Christmas tree is up by the main entrance. read more

Antelope valley mall is the place I remember growing up. I would always walk around here because there's not much else to do in Palmdale. Though it has evolved throughout the years with wonderful additions for the city. Visited right before Christmas and the place was booming. They had a cute little Santa's village for the kiddos to meet Santa. Really adorable display and magical for the kids. The mall is surrounded with a variety of restaurants lots of parking and a local favorite movie theater. On the outskirts there's lots of shopping areas really the heartbeat of the city. read more

So I'm not sure why this place is only 3 stars.......... I'm not really sure what peoples expectations are but this mall is at least 4 stars. It cannot be compared to the mega malls in the LA area. If thats the case then it will always come up short. We wandered in because a member of our plane spotting group had lost his glasses during one of our night outings and needed a Lens Crafters. While he got his glasses made, I wandered about and took in the mall. If you looking for a mall that has Prada, Vuitton, Cartier and the like, go elsewhere. But if you looking for a mall that is clean, has a reasonable range of stores, and ample parking this is your place. So, yes...it is a smallish mall, but it does have all the big draw stores: Macy's, JP Penny, Sears, and Dillards. AV Mall does have a nice Claimjumper's restaurant, and a new Yard House too. There are quite a few nice shoe shops, and a huge Forever 21. The mall is designed on the "Cross" so if you are looking at it from above it looks like a bit "T", so I think that for a first-time visitor it might be a tad confusing. All in all if you live in or are passing through Palmdale and need a mall, it is a pretty nice way to waste a half a day shopping. read more

In the Antelope Valley again so we took the opportunity while there to finish up some of our Christmas shopping at this mall. Tops on our list was a nice robe for our youngest. Entering through Macy's and eventually ending up at JC Penny's, we were impressed with our first time experience here. For a smaller mall it seemed quite adequate for most every basic need. I would have liked more time to explore and would have sought out their food court had we been looking to have lunch in the area. Worth a return visit without the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. read more

Brought back so much fond memories of my teenage years living in Palmdale. It's nice to know that AV Mall has been maintained very nicely. Well lit and very shiny clean floors. I was surprised to see a swap meet style table of vendors in the middle aisle of the mall. Very unique finds. We came here to walk off what we ate for lunch with my parents. We walked through Macy's all the way to the Food Court and back. When the mall first opened, there use to be a movie theater where Dillard's is now and we use to hangout at the Food Court right after the movies. The movies are not there anymore. Instead it's a furniture store and Dillard's. My brother did find some AWESOME deals at Dillard's on 2 long sleeve dress shirts for work. Can't beat $7 ea. read more

This is a pretty good mall just off of Rancho Vista exit in the city of Palmdale. It is located in a large shopping plaza surrounded by numerous restaurants and local businesses. In the actual mall you'll find your typical stores such as JC Penney, Express, Vans, etc. The one department store I was surprised to come across was Dillards (similar to Macys). There are also many small boutiques and one off stores throughout the mall. Finally it's a good place to visit if you're trying to beat the 100 plus degree weather in the high desert. read more

Well it was our first New Years afternoon at the Mall for our kiddo, she will officially be a teen in 3 or 4 months. I hear she'll become normal again at 17. It was pretty cool, henna, face painting and balloons. If you're the lady that stole the balloon away from the child, that was so very wrong! BTW, I know which Jeweler you work for KJ's. Bolo, Look for a sour face, that's her. Yes, the woman that looks like she sucked on a bagful lemons. This mall has a variety of stores and it is very clean and neat , the restrooms were very clean and that's always a res presentation of a good mall ( restroom condition) I felt safe and I saw plenty of security walking around and driving around. I shop alone most of the time so that is important to me. I loved the variety of stores available, everything from sport stores to jewelry and I especially loved they snack bar kiosk store where I can buy a snack or beverage, what a convenience! Please resume your normal hours. Even Valencia is open until 8pm and 9pm on Saturdays. People cannot always get there until the evening. Most every other store has returned to normal business hours. Otherwise it's yet another reason to drive to Santa Clarita or Northridge etc. read more

This mall reminds me of Briarwood mall in Ann Arbor, MI. It's one story, with the essential stores-Macys, JC Penny, Sears, Forever 21, Dicks, etc. It's not very big, like many yelpers have stated, but shoot I'm happy there's even a mall in AV, since there's not much else out there. The food court is located towards the middle of the mall, where there is also a small kids play area. The food court has a nice variety of things to eat like hot dog on a stick, a chinese/japanese place, popcorn, subway, a smoothie and a few other options. The food court can get very loud, especially with the kids play place being in the middle, so make sure you wait for your food. I guess this mall has expanded quite a bit and there are facts posted along the hallway to the restrooms. The best thing about this mall is that there are endless amount of restaurant choices around the mall. Not to mention, all the stores on the outskirts. read more

This mall is average. Has typical brands you can find in the mall. But I find this mall a lackluster. Has Sears, Macys, Forever 21, Dillards, and Dick's Sporting Goods as anchor stores to the mall. The mall has a food court. I rarely shop here. The stores don't have much selections for me. I honestly come here for the Surf City Squeeze or if I am craving for Cinnabon. I think the mall need a major overhaul again. Forever 21 should look like a Forever21 not a awful looking swamp meet of clothing. This mall used to have indoor fountains, which was a nice touch. The management redone the mall courtyard entrance. But I prefer the old look. The current look too barren and too much concrete. As a former employee of Old Navy and shopper I can honestly tell you that this place is a teenager magnet. Early morning you get all the senior citizens walking around and drinking coffee by late morning early afternoon you get stay at home moms, after school you get all these so called smart teenager that think they know it all running like maniacs and chasing ugly boys. This place is also a place for many sticky fingers out there. Stores...........There are way to many furniture stores with sharks working there, such a turn off. You have your small cute shops that sell children items and other cute stuff for your child. There is a Guess store, Carters, Hollister, Macys, and Old Navy if you like to look like you spent a lot on an outfit. You can also get great deals at Forever 21. The majority of the stores are dirty and trashed from customers going through merchandise. The place seems somewhat clean and they have added chairs all around the mall. It has had a lot of changes through out the years which is good. They did add more stores and restaurants on the outside of the mall which is pretty cool. I don't come here that often to shop but when I do I check for bargains and the latest fashion for my family. Restaurants..........The mall added more dine in restaurants like Yard House and Claim Jumpers. The food court lost some chain restaurants but they added new ones and better ones. The food is a little more expensive than other food chains around the AV. They sure take advantage of that. Overall there is something for everyone to eat if you get hungry while shopping. Parking.............Parking is horrible horrible horrible!!! You get you normal AV 20 year old idiots speeding in the parking lot trying to impress everyone around. LAME!! It's a shocker when you actually see a young adults being polite as they are driving. I hate leaving my car due to dents, sticky fingers, and bad ass 20 year old drivers that think they are the shit. Over all I give the AV Mall 3 stars. It has it's good and bad. They do need more volunteer Sheriffs in the premises. read more
