Today I went to Dillards Men's shoe department with my husband. The man who approached us name was Al. He barely nodded. He was on his cell phone most of the time when we needed help. He finally came over and got us the shoes my husband wanted to try. Then he went to the back and never came back. We were ready to purchase a pair of expensive shoes, but he never did come back. Awful! First, I will tell you about my experience in the shoe department. I go to one register and two ladies tell me to go to other register for a return. The other register is helping another lady who is taking forever and complaining about prices. This lady tells me to go back to other register? I then tell two girls who have no excuse why they sent me over there to begin with that I didnt appreciate that and other then they didnt want to work there was no reason for that. They didnt say anything. I wanted to replace my shoes but no one bothered to help me. Or even ask if i need something. I had to now go back to girls who didn't want to help me to start with. Y'all have barely any customers in the store besides maybe 5 people. Do we see a trend?? I reluctantly ordered another pair after they have no shoes in my size. (An 11) Now I move to jewlery.. 6 people standing in a circle talking. Im looking for some nice costume jewlery to wear with a ball gown in December.. I see one of the twirling racks on counter and I want to look at it and one of the women from the circle are leaning up against it. She looks at me, rolls her eyes and continues to stand there!!! WTF!!! I literally tell her to move so I don't hit her with it in order to look at it. Again she is so rude and doesn't bother asking if I need help or the group of people standing right there? I visited 2 Dillard locations attempting to find a suit in the men's dept. The 1st 2 stores, Perimeter and Northpoint did not have any one working the department. When I found a salesperson from another dept they were of NO help. I went to Dillard's Mall Of Ga location and was met by Salah Hyder who is the manager of the Suit's Dept---what a "great employee"! He was personable, professional, and knows his merchandise. Bottom line , I purchased a $700 suit from him and was very satisfied with the experience. Walked in to the Dillard's shoe department expecting an upscale experience and good customer experience at Buford Mall. The carpet was very dirty, the service was bad. The salesman was not welcoming and didn't make us feel like he wanted to help us. He offered no personal attention to us. He got the shoes out then put them on the floor and left to play with his computer. He didn't assist me in trying them on our all how they felt. I left there and found Classic City Running in Buford. They took their time and gave my wife and I a very nice experience. They have sophisticated equipment that will measure your feet and offered me a pair of Hoka that felt like walking on marshmallows. My feet don't hurt anymore. I'd recommend them. read more

It is getting harder and harder to find real leather shoes that don't cost an arm and leg and buying bras is even more of a challenge now because most department stores are understaffed in their lingerie departments. I haven't been to Mall of GA in over 20 years and was at Lake Lanier for a party and realized I'd left my shoes at home and didn't want to take the hour commute back home to get the shoes when there is a mall 12 minutes away. The shoe department was having a huge clearance sale and practically every shoe I picked up that was on sale was no longer in my size and I didn't want to pick up a pair at $100+ just because, so I kept looking and finally found a pair tucked away on a clearance rack for $26. And they were leather. The draw back was the shoes were connected together with a plastic zip tie, you know the kind they use on Cops and when I asked the clerk to give me some scissors so I could cut it off, she couldn't find one pair scissors in the entire shoe department. So I had to try on one shoe take it off and then try on the other since I couldn't separate them. Not an idea way to try on shoes, even if it does help the store keep them together. I also was looking a bras and they had one person in that area and she was operating the register, talking on the phone, trying to assist a lady in a wheelchair and a father that was bra shopping with his two daughters, so I was way at the bottom of her list of being able to assist. I thought both the shoe and lingerie departments were understaffed for a Saturday afternoon read more

Disastrous. I've never been more appalled by the amount of neglect that they have in the dressing rooms (not sure about all of them but this one is a little bit away from the junior/prom section). I came to this one since I knew there wouldn't be as many people as the main one by the prom dresses. I understand that dressing rooms can get super messy but this is a whole other level, especially for Dillard's. It's ironic because there's helpful people out on the floor helping people, but no one tending to the dressing rooms. read more

As of recently I've gained interest into coming into this place due to my interest in cologne. I've finally had the chance to come into this place and scope out the colognes I've been wanting to smell for quite a while, and had the best experience I've had in any store. A nice lady helped me out throughout the whole thing and gave me great choices to choose from such as Dior sauvage, perfumes de marly, and etc. besides from that, the over all experience was wonderful and made my day thank you so much! read more

I've recently became a fan of Dillards as a department store and I love them. This location on particular is close to my mom and we both frequent it together often. They don't usually have many advertised sales compared to Macy's and Jcpenny. But when they have a sale it is well worth visit. Sale days in Dillards are my favorite. One thing i find annoying about this store is they always in my opinion to have minimum staff on regular days cause i tend to have to walk around to find a sales associate when i have to check out. No real complaint's love the store, wish they would carry all the lines like their Perimeter mall and Atlantic Station locations but no biggie (I'm a mall hopper) Tip: Attend one of their New Years Day sales. It better than Black Friday. Just be prepared for a crowd and go early. Have in mind what you want and be line for that section read more

Always been a fan of Dillards, just never get there. Had a sale on Sperry so got some shoes, flip flops and a shirt and great deal. Staff was helpful and stock had just what I needed. Need to get here more often if I'm stepping up my A game. !! Great selection of Polo, key name brands and got me some cologne too while I was there. Although I have always had positive shopping experiences in Dillard's, it's been a while since I bought any clothes there. This review is mostly for the Clinique counter. A few years ago, I used Clinique skincare products and had the best skin of my life (wow, I sound like an infomercial). However, I stopped buying their products, largely because the original salesperson who got me hooked (and several ones who "helped" me in future months at the same counter) insisted that I *needed* at least 10 different products. I was 28 or so at the time. There's no reason that I needed THREE different wrinkle creams. Come on, people. Anyway, I wanted great skin so I got sucked into her spiel. The only problem was that 10 different products wasn't really a maintainable regimen for me. My wallet was really hurting. So I gave up and switched to Mary Kay, and then eventually went to all-natural skincare, which (sadly) my skin REALLY does not like. Fast forward to present day, with my skin a hot Atlanta mess because, as I mentioned before, it does not like natural skincare. I was walking through Dillard's and the Clinique counter called out to me. I went in, fully prepared to purchase all 8 million products that my original salesperson told me I needed in order to live. My skin is that bad right now. Imagine my surprise when she told me that (even with my horrifying skin eruptions and Saharan dryness issues)... I didn't need all of those products. Shock and awe. A Clinique sales representative, telling me to buy less? Not that I didn't still walk away from that counter with $250 worth of products. Because I did. But I felt good about it! Don't laugh but my favorite section of Dillard's is the underwear section. It's on the right went you enter on the main level. The section is always tidy and easy to navigate plus the sales ladies are so attentive. What pushed my review from 4 to 5 are the associates. I heard two today helping another woman select undergarments post cancer. They were compassionate and genuinely excited to support her after her battle. I was touched by their hearts and enthusiasm! I ended snagging one employee to help me pull a garment off a mannequin for purchase. Cheaper than Victoria's Secret with much better customer service to boot! I'm a fan! read more

Awful! My wife went in to return several items. She returned the items and left the store. When she got home she realized they had not credited our card but they charged it again. Stupid mistake done by an obviously inadequate person but oh well things happen. She then calls them to explain and they say no problem come back and we will fix it. She drives all the way back and guess what. The person that did it wasn't there, the person she talked to on the phone wasn't there, and the only person in the store that can credit a card wasn't there. So just imagine shopping in a store that feels so little of their employees they don't even give them the ability to apply a credit to a card. In a store that big with that many employees not one person can credit a card. Amazing! So then I call customer support and keep being told they can't help me. They just blow me off to another professional phone answerer that doesn't have the simple ability to credit a card back. I guess my $500 is gone. I am still on hold over an hour and talking to my 4th person. You can learn for yourself but I wouldn't waste my time ever walking in here. read more

Worst customer service you will find! Especially in the shoe department! I bought these Giani Bini heels and they are the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever worn. The sales rep was rude and ironic. I worn the shoes once, almost broke my feet and the sales rep couldn't even give me store credit. Considering Dillard's reputation, this is unacceptable. Customer service and customer satisfaction is at a minimum. A company that wants to keep its clients and name up high should probably at least attempt to make people happy. Do yourself a favor and go shop at another store instead of paying double at Dillard's and getting half the service. read more

So, I came to this Dillard's to buy my son some shoes. I found some really nice loafers and Polo shoes that were placed against the wall, having worked in retail before I already know if the shoes are placed up against the wall that it's a 99% chance they are NOT on sale. The lady that was supposed to be in the shoe department was non existent so I just got in line to ask the cashier for the size, then the lady magically appears back up and said she was going to check me out, let this be known that I never mentioned a discount or expressed I had or wanted to use a coupon. Before she rings my items up she proceeds to say "You know these aren't on sale right," um excuse me, I know. Teach your employees how to keep their comments to themselves, I didn't say to her what I wanted to say and the only reason I purchased the shoes was because no other store in the mall had my sons size, but you better believe I won't be back. I have never had a more horrible shopping experience anywhere, let alone a Department Store. At 7:57, while trying to find a register to make a return, an employee followed me up the stairs and told me they were closing and I had to exit. I explained I needed to return something, and she replied that the registers were closed. Annoyed, I proceeded to my exit and saw a register open and waiting on a customer. I completed the return only to be told they don't return cash at the register and I'd have to receive a gift card or go to customer service to get my refund. I did just that, all awhile being eyeballed by other associates in the store, and asking me what exit was I looking for. You'd think I was overstaying my welcome at the White House, versus some subpar Department Store. For what's it's worth, I was visiting family and we don't have a Dillard's in my city, hence why it was important for me to complete the refund this evening. Never again. Any Dillard's, any city. The WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE !! I don't know who runs this Dillard's or is in charge of hiring but seriously they need an overhaul. The shoe department is by far the worst the employees are so rude. They never greet you or attempt to help... good luck getting a shoe size you will be met with exasperation by the "associates" During the monthly clearance sale the shoe department is trashed and the workers certainly seem as if they could use more hands on deck BUT this is still no excuse to treat customers they way they do. The jewelry department.. good luck getting help here either. Associates stand around and chat with each other or just ignore you all together. The only ray of light is the children's section. I have found representatives in this section to be very kind and helpful. Unfortunately its not enough for me to continue to spend my money here. The atmosphere of unwelcomness is worse than any other department store in the entire Mall of Georgia. read more

First off all, this was one of my favorite stores, however after my previous experience I will NEVER be shopping here again. I was in the guys section looking for clothes when I realized I had my wife's phone and change purse. The men section is on the bottom floor and women is on the 3rd floor. I went to find my wife and realized she was being followed by an employee thinking that she was trying to steal a shirt. The employee was following her around and wouldn't believe she was trying to find me. She asked many questions to my wife before I even got to her. When I did get to her the woman was shocked but never apologize. My wife isn't dumb so she instantly knew that the employee was accusing her without even saying it out loud.We checked out and the woman made a comment mocking her asking how she is going to pay. I handed my wife HER credit card so she could pay. It blows my mind that this woman would think my wife would try to steal, and to follow my wife like she did was humiliating for her. This really made me upset and I believe this woman should not hold the job she currently has. Women should not be disrespected in this way. I expect better from this store. read more
