I cancelled Digital Path due to the high prices and went with another internet provider that had faster speed and unlimited gigs and half the cost. I called and cancelled and Digital Path did a unauthorized charge in my account. I called and of course no help at all. People need to watch out for this company as they will charge you without you authorizing any charge. I can only give them a one star and they are lucky to get that. read more

Pretty disappointed digitalpath has gone in the toilet like sh*t. Was good when we first got it years ago, but now customer service really sucks and the gen 6 internet service is basically unusable it drops so often or it's out completely for hours at a time. They told us we could upgrade to gen 8 and it would be better so we said yes..... but then they wasted hours of our time 2 days in a row waiting for them to come hook us up. We really do not understand how they could send tech guys out two days in a row .... but the panel they were trying to hook us up to was not even working?! How does that happen? They should have figured it out after the first day they failed, but to make us scramble last minute to be here for the new apt the very next day and then find out the panel STILL was NOT working to hook us up. WTF? And zero apologies from customer service for making us wait around for them to show up....TWICE.... & not provide the service they promised. Then we find out that gen 8 is NOT even an option for us after all!! We're done and will cancel the crappy service asap! read more

Let me start my review and explain my perspective: I live where there's no chance of ever getting cable or DSL. I've suffered since 2003 with Hughes satellite, $60 monthly, 200MB daily cap or they knock you down to below dialup speeds. When I signed up with Digital Path in 2009, I almost cried over finally having real broadband. Uncapped. For 8 months it worked great, then I started having daily outages, getting service for 3 hours in the mornings only. It got the point that when I called, their answer was they would let me out of my contract. No, you fix it. The guy who came out honestly tried everything he could, worked longer than he was scheduled, but said he couldn't get the same signal strength that I once had. Trees. Then he did one last test and suggest that a tree install with a different antenna. It appeared to have a strong signal. We eventually ponied up the $100 for a No Guarantee tree install. I'm happy to report that it's been a year and a half and working well. I need to call every month or two to get the signal back. They pick up the call within 15 minutes (try calling any other tech support for a reference). read more

This wireless internet is awful. Every single day I lose WiFi for more than an hour. Even with their newest equipment on my roof and a bill of 150.00 plus. No tv. Had to buy an expensive router not a cheap one and we still have interruptions daily. Not just during high data use times or they say our datas full. But ALL times of the month. I have been a digital path customer for over two years and the service has degraded to the point of being unusable. Their tech support used to be great yet I just got off the phone with a support tech named Josh who was the rudest, most condesending tech I have ever attempted to work with. The cost has increased almost as much and as fast as the service interruptions and slow speeds. I have called in numerous times over the last month or two for lack of service yet every time I'm told their monitoring shows no problem on their system so it has to be mine, I've changed routers, upgraded to latest firmware yet multiple devices have same problems. They refuse to come on site to check equipment yet they will need to come out and pick up said equipment as I'll be cancelling service as soon as the new service is in place. read more

Considering all the difficulties of providing rural internet, DigitalPath is pretty good. Yes, the service is spotty now and then, but the tech guys are always very pleasant and helpful and usually fix the problem within a matter of hours. I think we underestimate the problems of rural broadband.....there's no way it's going to perform like Comcast or whatever, but I can stream happily and work from home thanks to DigitalPath. read more

For nearly two years we paid for 10mb/ps and we NEVER saw anything more than 7. So a few months ago we finally downgraded to 6mb/ps. Why pay for what you aren't getting anyway, right? Well, we're still getting substandard connection speeds and we were only ever comped for a couple of months after a three-month wait for our reimbursement, even after they reviewed the many, many service calls and complaints we'd filed about the speed of the service we were paying for. I shouldn't be getting half of what I'm paying for. Of course, the internet slows to a crawl after 8pm, the only time we actually stream any TV, because our kids are in bed by then. They don't have a service person after 6pm at can do jack or diddly and there is only one person on the weekends, his only capability is to reboot your satellite, which you can do yourself. We work from home and homeschool our kids, so when we need our services the most, on the weekends when we are doing most of our business transactions, of course they are never there to help us deal with connectivity issues. We can't afford to not have our connection when we need to be doing business or our children need to be working on school projects. When they installed our dish, we showed them that there was a clear line of sight to one of the towers on a hill opposite of our home. Did they want to point it that direction? No! They wanted to put it about 40 feet up a tree pointing at another tower on a different ridge that doesn't even face us. Tell me what kind of sense does that make? It makes sense to them because they can charge you more to install it in a tree, that's how. When I was in the Army I worked in Military Intelligence, installing satellite communication systems. This is the most FUBARed up group of technicians I've ever seen. The only way they've managed to stay in business this long is that they are only marginally better than the competition in Concow. Otherwise, they just wouldn't exist out here. As soon as something better comes along, you better believe that every single family out here is going to jump all over it and they are going to lose about 200-400 customers. UPDATE - 10/5/2016 Our internet is back after being down off and on, mostly off, all day. This is not a good way for us to run a business or get our kids' homeschooling done. We've downloaded an app to track our internet connectivity and log it on a daily basis. If we don't start receiving better service or monthly discounts for the crappy service we are getting, we're making an FTC complaint. Then taking it further if necessary. We were paying for the 10mb plan for almost 2 years and rarely got more than 5, occasionally we got 7 (about 4 times a year). So, we dropped it to 5, why pay for what you aren't getting anyway right? Now, there are days when we get no connection at all! We have a business, kids in school, and two people in college, one of which is in an online program. We can't afford to loose connections anytime they feel that the townies are more important. read more

We've had Digitalpath for years. They say you'll get up to 3mbs but in reality you get about 1.5. They have absolutely rotten customer service; if you go in to get help because they ignore written and electronic pleas, they treat you with disdain, like they can't believe you have the gall to not know everything about why your service is not working. Digital Path or Digital Trap? I've been with DP for about 3.5 years. I have no options due to my home location but if anything were available for even double the price I would drop DP like a hot potato. Their tech support is pathetic. I'd rather be routed offshore where at least a human being would talk to me. Recently DP raised my monthly price from $55 to $85. In a single month! In addition they implemented a monthly data limit of 250GB. At a time when everything has moved to streaming content. I just got a 4K TV but a tech buddy warned me not to even try to stream 4K movies as it would eat up my data limit in a heartbeat. Then he heard what my DP download speed was. Here goes...DP's top download speed is 6Mbps. After he recovered from laughing he told me at that speed I couldn't stream a movie in 4K in my wildest dreams. $85 a month. 6Mbps download speed (which is often less than 1 Mbps) A 250GB cap. (Xfinity gives 250Mbps download for $69 a month.) I watch Blue Bloods on Netflix in 240p. It's truly a joke. I wrote to talk with them about the 55% price hike and the new data limit but they really couldn't care less. And are they using the increased revenue to enhance infrastructure and improve services? Absolutely not. They just take on more customers and give everyone poorer service. DP knows that Google's wireless everywhere service, or ATT DSL, or Xfinity is going to put them out of business. It's clear that Digital Trap is going to soak whatever customers they have until they finally (and thankfully) get run out of business. Until then I'm stuck in the Digital Trap. read more

Don't bother with Digitalpath if you're capable of reading a calender, and realize that it's not 1997 anymore. It's a service designed for people who only want to check their Hotmail and livejournal. Newfangled stuff like streaming and torrenting? Hope you don't like it, because Digitalpath's infrastructure and bandwidth sure doesn't. Also, expect to be randomly disconnected a lot. The customer service is so bad I don't know where to start. I guess I will start with the fact that their internet service is not reliable and their equipment is constantly in need of repair, therefore, you can expect to be calling customer service often. Once you make your first call to customer service is where the fun begins. As a result of my service going down (again), I had the pleasure of calling customer (non)service. I will admit everyone is polite. But all of my phone calls to them result in the following phrases: 1."Call back tomorrow when 'so and so' is here" - umm, okay. If you do get to talk to 'so and so' then you get the following; 2."I'll call you back tomorrow" or "'So and so' will call you back" - person never calls you. If you are really lucky you may get the following after several rounds of the above phrases; 3."We will come up there and fix it sometime in the next few weeks (pick random date and time that is inconvenient)." Okay, so maybe someone comes, maybe not, but regardless, the problem does not get fixed and of course there is no follow up like, "Sorry, I dont have the part to fix it, but I'll be back in a day or two to fix it." You just never hear from them again. So of course a week or two or three or four goes by without service or a phone call so you call 'customer (non)service' back up again and you get , " I dont know anything about that" and then you get phrase #1 or #2 and you get to start over. Originally, I thought I should give them 2 stars since their service is rather affordable, but the headaches involved with reliability and their customer service are so terribly bad, it just not worth it. If you can possible get cable, telephone or satellite internet service instead of Digitalpath, get it. It will be worth EVERY penny, I can assure you. read more

Digital Path service and support has been in a two year decline as they have continued accepting new customers that their infrastructure cannot support. I once recommended them to everyone who asked about rural broadband service, and now I say to get satellite service. The performance in not simply slow--and I pay for their upper-tier 6mb service, it is so erratic that I cannot depend on it at any time. If you are lucky enough to get through to their tech support--usually a minimum of 30 minutes on hold, they will tweak this or that to get you running adequately again, but the performance always degrades again within weeks or days. read more

Used them to get internet at my cabin near lake almanor. The worst ISP i have ever been involved with. Horrible service, horrible internet connections, constant outages, they mounted a 12 x 12 grey metal junction box in my living room for some of the equipment. It looks like some sort of industrial electrical junction box. It took me 9 months to get them to come back and relocate it outside, then I had a huge hole in my wall. If it rains, service goes out, if it snows service goes out, if the wind blows service goes out, and at times on perfectly calm sunny days... the service goes out. Just horrible all the way around. My cell phone has better and more consistent service. I tore the equipment off my house and tossed it in the garbage where it belongs and then just put "return to sender" on all bills they sent. Its rare that I have nothing good to say at all about a company like this, but I don't have anything positive to say. And whats interesting is reading Jim H's comments to reviews below... "We take our customer commitment very seriously. Our service and our network is constantly being upgraded with more bandwidth and new technology. We are far ahead of our competitors in terms of speed and value. " My BS meter just broke as the needle flew out of the glass casing and propelled itself into outer space. "We don't provide service in Santa Cruz" to a reviewer who is listed in Santa Cruz acting like its an inaccurate review. Hey Jim H, I live in Soquel, near Santa Cruz, and guess what? I also have a cabin at Lake Almanor, isn't that snow in the background on Streve H's Yelp photo? Looks like he might be snowmobiling? Like me, he probably has a vacation house in your area and lives permanently in Santa Cruz?. It gets even worse. These people kept blaming my router. So, I bought a new one. Top of the line Linksys WRT 1900 AC. No improvement. This morning I am trying to get a simple download done. I keep getting network errors. I call Tech Support and get Damon on the phone. "Nothing I can do, you have to talk to a supervisor. You are getting a Vulgar and threatening a lawsuit". That's right, I told him the excuses are bullshit. I have shown these people the high levels of packet loss repeatedly. Always an excuse. "We can't see any problem". So they want to refund two months of service since I have been a valued, not, customer since 2010. I want all of it refunded! Digital Path has never delivered. Has anyone tried to sue these people yet? I am thinking that maybe a nice, very public suit might get their attention. Oh, by the way Digital Path. Wow, its hard to even summarize how bad this service is. As I write this using my 4G Verizon network I have been on hold close to two hours for yet another failure. Unfortunately we live in an area where no other service is possible. I've had Comcast and ATT in other cities. They were not perfect but they were leaps and bounds more reliable. It seems that we have weekly service interruptions with Digitalpath. We consistently get slower service than what we pay for. When we call to complain the service is better for maybe a few days and eventually slows to a halt or stops working. I am hoping some day we have access to something better. It's a joke the USDA gave this company a grant, a noncompetitive grant at that, essentially shutting out competition yet the service has never improved in the slightest. We have begrudgingly used this provider for it is our only option besides no connectivity. This isn't a new problem or a misunderstanding...we have with frustration dealt with this crap for two and a half years. We live right down the road from a business that uses Comcast and for some reason we are in a miniscule zone making other providers impossible. So here's the deal. It's been about a year since my last review. My conclusion about Digital Path is poor, spotty service. When I had a new antenna put up about a year ago, it seemed fine for a while. But I noticed that when downloading something that lets you watch the progress of the download, it would load fine for a minute, then completely stop for a minute, over and over. I know they tell you that it has to do with how many people are using the service at the same time, but I get up super early due to my job, and I was getting lousy service at 3 or 4 in the morning! We switched from 3mb to 6mb thinking that would improve things. Nope. I would do speed checks at 4 am and it was usually 3-4 mb tops. I thought that early there would be minimal traffic on bandwidth,and still poor results. And that was with their best antenna perhaps 5 miles from transmitting tower. Now last week, internet crashed completely and was 5 days getting someone out here. Come to find out, they got a bad batch of antennas and mine was one of them. Well, after replacing that one with a new one and pointing it at a different tower, it's the same thing. Super spotty. I live in the boonies so I am at the mercy of Digital Path, but they don't seem to care much. Long holds for tech help usually lead to someone saying they will take care of it from there, but it always goes back to off and on service. The only other thing I could think it could be is my router. Anyone out there ever have a bad router that would make my signal do that? read more

If I were rating solely on product, I would give about a 4, since DP is definitely slower than cable Internet, but it is still fairly fast. Customer service is shoddy at best. I had to call 5 times to speak with a supervisor. The first time I was told they were at lunch and would call me back. 2 1/2 hours later the CS person called me back and said "sorry manager can't help you anymore than I can and was too busy to deal with me". Who does that???? They still NEVER answered my questions. And, I don't mean the answered it and I didn't like the answer, they wouldn't even address the issue. When we first sighed up for DigitalPath we were happy enough. Service wasn't as fast a Comcast, but it was the best we could find at our new home in a rural area. Netflix worked, internet worked, could work from home whenever (unless the network was out, which almost always happens on tax filing deadlines). Then we kindly told our neighbors about DigitalPath. They signed up. We got deprioratized (if they are online our service gets really really slow)! My understanding is this. Our kids watch Sesame Street on Netflix, data usage. I work from home, data usage. We are then labeled "high usage". Neighbor goes to work all day, no usage. Neighbor gets home and watches "Breaking Bad". We get deprioratized. Our internet service gets too slow to do simple things like send an e-mail. The work day is over for me, whether I'm done or not. Add in the new data usage limits and it's VERY FRUSTRATING! It there was another internet service provider available in our area, I would gladly switch! read more

My experience with digital path is that the service works sometime and sometimes not. It's very sporadic. When it's working I get between 4 and 5 mb/sec which is good enough for most task on the internet. I'm paying for 6. Unfortunately there's a lot of 1 mb/sec and less. With rural broadband that as a rule delivers speeds close to those promised, Digital Path stands head and shoulders above Succeed.net who deliver speeds much, much slower than advertised. Your mileage may vary. The caveat seems to be whether you've got line of sight to the tower or not. If you are on a lateral "bounced" network, you may experience poor performance. If you've got line of sight and are within a reasonable distance-- say 4 miles-- from the antenna, you should be good if my experience can be relied upon as an indicator. The worst feature of Digital Path is customer service-- particularly tech support. Techs are polite and helpful, generally resolving issues fairly quickly and satisfactorily, but the wait times to speak with a tech rep are extraordinarily long and DP shows no inclination to remedy this glaring insufficiencly in their business. If you've got a good alternative to DP, like in metro areas, I'd strongly consider them to avoid the preposterously protracted and potentially prorogated waiting periods populated with perpetually putrid pop pieces playing precariously, even perilously with your sanity. read more

Okay where do I start? The new house I moved into already had a satellite installed from the previous tenants. It also had the power adapter, cords, etc. I just need to call tech support to 'activate' they told me. So after being quoted $85 a month for service, and a one time $65 'activation fee' I decided since this is literally my only option for internet, I would just do it. I called to activate, and while I was on the phone, the POE power adapter just stopped working. Light was on, then it was off. They told me I had to schedule a tech to come out and bring me a new one....and the I HAD TO PAY $50 for the tech to come out. Nice. I ended up buying a new POE on Amazon for $12 instead and called to start the 'activation' over again. They started by telling me I couldn't use an adapter that wasn't theirs, which is not correct. (I carefully bought the EXACT same brand, wattage, etc. for this reason.) When I told them this they said, "Okay, then I guess its alright." Hmmmm. Then I said I didn't want to pay $50 for a new POE adapter when I could just order one and the tech told me that the company usually mails them to customers and they shouldn't have told me I need a tech to come out for this. ????? At this point, everything was connected with power but then they said the satellite was getting a signal at all. So then this tech told me I DID need to schedule a tech for $50 to come out and fix the issue. I scheduled the 1pm-5pm time slot for the first available appointment which was a week away. I requested the day off from work (since I work an hour away and cannot just pop home) and waited patiently for a tech to come out that day. Day of my appointment I am waiting and get a phone call at 4:15pm....the customer service rep tells me she's sorry she didn't call earlier, but my tech called in sick that day and no one would be coming out. THIS WAS AT 4:15PM!!!!!! GAHHH!!!! I was so frustrated I took off work and waited all day for someone to call me 45 minutes before my appointment window was over. She then tells me she can get someone out the next day-couldn't do it, I had to work and couldn't request the day off again. Then she told me the next available was the following week. I told her Friday was the only day I could do it and she said techs don't come to my area that day. I told her I couldn't take off from work again and she said she would just go ahead and schedule Friday. I then get a phone call a few days later from their scheduling department, and the lady tells me that no techs come to my area on Friday and they need to reschedule me AGAIN. I explained to her the situation from when my tech didn't show up and she had no idea what I was talking about and then just told me they would figure it out and keep the Friday appt. So I wait a few days and in the process, check out YELP reviews, and ask around my area about the service. Ultimately the feedback was not good from anyone so I decided $85 for shotty service anyway was not worth it. Plus, I already had unreliable and inconsistent customer service up to now. So, on Monday I called and CANCELED my appointment and set up and decided not to go forward with service with DigitalPath. The lady on the phone said she would cancel the tech and the account. Fast forward to FRIDAY-the day of my now canceled appointment. 'Knock, knock?' 'Who's there?' 'THE DIGITALPATH TECH!!!!!' I couldn't help but laugh. This poor guy just drove all the way from Chico to an appointment that I had canceled 5 days before. (Suuuuper nice guy by the way.) I felt bad for him, as I explained to him that I had canceled and then told him about my experience thus far with DigitalPath. He nicely went on his way and apologized for the inconsistent service. He told me if I ever change my mind in the future, to ask for him personally. So, if any of this feedback is read by DigitalPath... 1) You really should keep extensive notes of who called your customers, when, and what was discussed. This way several different people aren't calling the customer with conflicting information and not knowing what was already told to them. 2) It is super unprofessional to cancel an appointment so late in the day when your tech called in sick that day. First thing in the morning you should call your customers. 3) Don't try and nickel & dime people, period. If your equipment fails, then you should replace it on your dime. Not the customers. 4) COMMUNICATE with your team. Poor tech who drove out 2 1/2 hours was clearly never told I canceled. read more

It is hard to add much to what others have said. To summarize, STAY AWAY. They are currently the only option for us where we live, but the service is just so terribly bad we will have to cancel as it is just spending money for nothing. I have to use my Verizon hotspot constantly if I ever want to get anything done. I have a very clear and direct line of sight to their tower. I can see the tower and the antenna on it with the naked eye from my yard - it is extremely close. Still, even being very close and with a clear line of sight, it is extremely unreliable, with outages all the time. When it is "working" (if you can really call it that), it often barely works with speeds lower than dial-up many times. Just for laughs, try emailing their support team and see how many days it will take for them to respond - for me, usually at least 2 weeks if they ever respond at all. Then try and call their support team and see how long you have to wait on hold to talk to anyone (an hour is not unusual). Or better yet, try and call at an "off hour", as they simply don't have support available all the time. If this were a big provider like Comcast providing this kind of service, the FCC would have already fined them and put them out of business. All that said, we will probably be paying a huge amount of money to have AT&T run a new line from over a mile away, and pay for business service with them to get the speeds we need. DigitalPath offered to provide us business service too, at a cost higher than AT&T, for slower speeds and terrible customer service. I think I will pass on that. I recommend you do the same, and find another provider or just go without - it's not worth it. read more

I have homes in both Plumas and Sierra counties, areas where at&t had a bitch of a time keeping a metallic T1 running. While there were some teething problems with the wireless infrastructure at first (especially in the middle of hellish storms) I have no complaints about the performance of their dedicated routed IP service and nothing but good things to say about their customer support, especially at midnight on a weekend! Yeah, it costs about as much as at&t would want for a no-contract T1 (i.e., about ten times the prices Digitalpath asks for consumer grade service) but that's what I'd expected. Prior to choosing Digitalpath I had at&t T1 service (which was down a frightening amount of time) and then a weird lash-up of four inverse-muxed at&t DSL lines. at&t's DSL service was beyond horrible (sync? What's sync?) and their customer support both clueless and uncaring. From any perspective I figure I'm way ahead of the game with Digitalpath. read more

Where should I start, there is so much bad about this company... First, they have the WORST customer service of any company I have ever had the displeasure of having to contact. The management is rude, and unwilling to try and fix problems that are near constant. All I was asking for is what I was paying for to work, which was 3MB internet and VOIP phone. Digitalpath could not even get it right. I will give their (a couple of them) techs a small amount of credit. If it wasn't for them, I would have sued this company many months ago. They at least attempt to try and fix problems, unlike the management. Secondly, when I asked for them to get my internet and phone service fixed to an acceptable working condition, they said they were working on it, but never really got fixed. Even talked to Jake Fergeson a couple of times o the phone (supposed to be the head of service) and he just blew me off giving more hollow excuses like the rest of the management I talked to. 1.5 years I tried to work with them, after they promised me a good working connection was coming, and to keep giving them time to get it. It never happened. When I pushed harder, they called me and said they were going to cancel my account, which they did. This left me with no internet to run my business for some time until I could get another provider here and installed. Third: They came to my house, without even a call, climbed on my roof and took their antennae. Didn't even bother to unplug it, just cut the CAT-5 wire short and left. Had I known that this was happening (no one home at the time) I would have had the guy arrested for trespassing, which he was doing. This should say what kind of company they are running there. So, I gave them a 1 star, because Yelp doesn't allow 0 stars. I would not recommend this company to anyone, just the contrary. I tell everyone that asks about internet providers what my experiences I have had with Digitalpath. They are not truth full in any way, and will string you along so you can keep paying, never to get the service you are paying for. I'm sure they will refute this and say they are a great company that produces what they sell as they have done with the other negative reviews here. But look around and you will see that what I write is the truth, and what they tell potential customers is nothing but lots of smoke and mirrors. it may work just fine for awhile (they do have a 30 day money back guarantee, you know) but after that, when you are locked into their contract, prepare for lots of time spent on the phone with tech, lots of lost promises, and more BS than you can stand. read more

Mismanagement of business. first we received a letter stating they were going to limit us during peek hours, because "they" couldn't provide enough bandwidth for all customers. Then a short time later they limit our amount to use...I pay for 6 mb per sec or 2419200 MB per month lol yet they limit us to x amount per month? did the internet run out of Internet? It's OK there solution is upgrade your plan??? This company is horrible. We are in the Calistoga area. Our service routinely fails for long periods. We're just told this is because of interference from other radio towers. They said it "might" be possible to fix this with new equipment but no assurances. All the while jarring is full price of $90 a month for "service". They have a monopoly here where there is no cable and it shows. Look into satellite before signing up with these losers. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. If I could find a different provider I would for sure. HATE, HATE, HATE this place, their service and lack of customer service. I often do not have service, it rains, wind blows, no power miles away, but we have no service. There was no service on Christmas Eve. So I complained. I went to pay my bill and ALL they reimbursed was 1.00 for a day of no service, much inconvience and just a hassle to have to deal with them. There has to be more service for Butte Valley. Oh yes, I asked to speak to a manager. There IS NEVER one available. I was given a voice mail. My bill is due and I wish there was some where else to go. Also, when you go on their website, there is a place to take a survey. I tried, but it said page wasn't available. Goes to figure. read more

We rented a house and moved to Folsom recently. The owner gave us free internet and that was one of the reasons we liked this house. Unfortunately digitalpath was the service provider. As the other reviewer stated, these guys have no idea about customer service. Internet was spotty and down majority of the time. Long waits on the phone and they never returned our calls. It did not help that we have Voip and streaming Netflix. To call them & check emailsI have to use my mobile. Lousy service and even worse customer service. read more

Horrible experience with this company! !!! Paid for a 1 day hot spot so I could do a show at the fairgrounds. There was a network error and they couldn't fix it so all the vendors who had paid for wifi with them that day did not receive it, and lost business because of it! In addition I was on hold for 20 minutes with tech support. The show had started by the time a live person came on, so I couldn't help the customers in my booth while speaking with him and trying to get the laptop connected, and again lost money! Today I called to get a refund and they tell me they can't help me that I have to dispute it with my bank! Of course in order to dispute a charge, the charge has to clear first. So we'll see what a nightmare this turns out to be! I would never recommend this company or their service to anyone!! read more

After a year and a half of this spotty service I can say that I am looking for another isp. EVERY DAY I loose the connection many times throughout the day making it very difficult to do any kind of research or business online with DigitalPath as my ISP. In all fairness I had Hughes ISP through Dish net. before DP that was as bad or worse and had a 5 gig limit . I think the problem is that ALL ISP are selling more bandwidth than they own and so someone will ALWAYS be without service because more pieces of the pie have been sold than exist. Until someone sues the shit out of these companies for fraud nothing will change and in fact we can plan on it getting worse because there is no law stopping them , evidently . read more

Completely unreliable, this service is terrible! The cost is just as much as "Broadband" yet is only minutely faster than dial up. When..... it is working it's sub par. It rarely runs at half the speed you sign up for, most of the time you are at about .9 mbs. Ridiculous!!! Customer service is awful, and now there is a data cap at 100 gigs! Seriously!!!!! What a joke. As soon as AT&T is finished with installating "uverse" in Butte County, Digital Path will most certainly go out of business!! read more

Incredibly unreliable both in speed and in connectivity. Yes, there are times when it's perfectly great with low ping and fast enough speeds, but there are also WAY too many times that it starts lagging like crazy with speeds sub 0.5 Mbps. It is also very spotty and drops all connectivity. They also give you connection to hotspots but I have trouble even getting logged on to that service. How do they stay in business with such consistently terrible reviews? The digitalpath service is pretty unacceptable for anything but checking emails or browsing HTML pages (you just might have to realize that if the page doesn't load you should try again in an hour). Unfortunately all of the negative reviews are quite accurate. High volume holidays are especially bad with service being extremely slow or down completely. I use Vonage and service has been so bad during these times that even our Vonage is down which means we have no reliable 911 service. I think they try but they have a long way to go. The one star review that Jim H. wrote is right on the money. They have obviously overextended themselves and cannot handle the streaming issues created by Netflix and company. Their service was great two years ago but has been a constant irritation for the last year. I've given up calling tech support because you are on hold forever and it fixes the problem temporarily at best. Our house automation and camera systems are so slow that most of the time they won't even come up especially during peak hours any day of the week. They can even be slow on off peak times. I check the cameras daily so I know the problem is chronic. I used to recommend them to everyone I know but not anymore. read more

I can't wait till our year contract is up with Digital Path so I can get a new provider. About 1-3 times a month I have to call tech support because my internet is so slow. I use internet to stream videos mostly, check Facebook and email. But when I cannot even open a webpage and it takes 1-2 minutes to download, I should just pay for dial up speeds. Tech support always does their job, but on average it takes me 30 minutes to speak to someone. That is a really long time if you're at work on lunch trying to make a call to them. I've also had bad experience with their customer service, where the woman just said "I don't know" when asked various questions. Even after asking when I could talk to the manager she replied "I don't know". Save your money and go with any other company. Digital Path has been as waste of my money and time. read more
