Great option for healthy food. My order is always on time and the quality of the food is always perfect.

First timer, ordered online. Said it would be ready at 5:32, go in at 5:48. No communication, line of people waiting. The salmon wasnt yet cooked, so had to wait. My bowl was just sitting out in the open while Staff walked by and made other people's food leaning over my bowl. So now its cold and potentially has debris in it from uncovered arms and hairnets. I was so close to leaving but I had committed to it. I shouldve left. The flavors did not match up, I found it bland. The salmon was blackened I guess. Super dry and the brussels were hard, inedible. Won't be coming back. Also, two people in line also left while waiting to be served. 4 people working - one with headphones in who completely ignored me and one person (the woman of course) was the only one waiting on people. It did seem clean, the chairs are like my elementary schol chair from 1994. Hard and uncomfortable. read more

I come here a fair amount. The food is decent. But the place is ridiculously understaffed. That leads to them never having all the items I want when I'm here, dirty tables, and dirty bathrooms. There aren't that many food items -- mashed potatoes or rice for a starch, a few salads, veggies, and some proteins. I don't understand how they run out of mashed potatoes frequently, one of two main starches. Also, they char the carrots and put a nice chimichurri sauce on them, but they are sometimes burnt to the point of being inedible. Burnt food is carcinogenic -- don't they know that? You also have to wait a long time before ordering even when you're the only customer on line. Everyone is busy cooking, but frequently nobody is available to make you a bowl of food. They need to hire more people. The owners are running this place on a shoestring, and it shows. Invest in the business for crying out loud. Hire people and pay them. read more

The food is great however the service is severely lacking and needs to be greatly altered. I nearly waited 30 minutes while the front person was only focused on filling online orders. I wanted a crispy tofu bowl however had to settle for just the regular sides bowl since the worker was busy filling nearly 15 online orders and running out of the options that i wanted to get (no tofu or focaccia). There needs to be at minimum two people serving orders or a separate cashier to finish filling online orders. Because the worker could tell I was getting irate from waiting so long, he offered a 10% courtesy discount. This was easily the worst in person takeout experience I've ever had. DIG in is definitely a place worth trying, I'm so happy that they brought a location to New Jersey, and that it's less than 20 minutes away from me! This visit, I parked in the back and entered through the rear entrance, which is always convenient, especially when it's raining. It's a clean and bright space. I was immediately greeted when I walked up to the counter to order. I ordered a custom DIG protein bowl, which comes with one protein, three sides, and a sauce. I went with the charred chicken, homestyle mashed potatoes, sheet tray carrots, and the Jasper Hill mac and cheese, with garlic aioli sauce. The portion size was hefty, and everything was absolutely delicious! The mac and cheese was hands down the best non homemade version I've had from a restaurant, it was rich, creamy, and FULL of flavor. The mashed potatoes were also incredible, smooth and perfectly seasoned. If I wasn't trying to cut down on starch, id be there everyday ordering this same bowl. Even though I know everything on their menu is great, this bowl will definitely be my go to cheat meal. I've also tried their chili lime Brussels sprouts, charred broccoli with lemon, roasted potatoes, and char-grilled steak, and they've all been solid choices. I came back to DIG after visiting for an Elite event. The food tasted even better the second time! And the staff was just as friendly. I ordered the custom dig bowl with double protein- steak and salmon. They cook the steak medium, so definitely ask if you want it cooked differently. I ate every last bite of my medium well steak; and dipped it in a side of special sauce. They gave me a large piece of salmon, and I asked them to add pesto at the end. The skin wasn't crispy, and was able to be eaten with the salmon. For my three sides, I chose the kale Cesar salad (contains nuts), sweet potatoes, and Mac and cheese. As you can see, I received decent sized portions of each. I wish I could say I left with leftovers, but I did not. The food was so good post workout, I devoured every single bite. I think Dig is the perfect place for anyone looking for healthy, fresh made food. I will definitely return in the near future. read more

This was delicious. My sis and I were on our way to CAVA and decided to stop in, needless to say I never went to CAVA. This was my first visit and it definitely will not be my last. I ordered the Classic Dig with Tofu and it was good. The tofu was crispy, the broccoli was grilled to perfection, the rice and roasted potato was flavorful. Exceeded my expectations! I have heard about Dig before and recognize the name. This is the first location in New Jersey but they have 3-4 locations in the city. This was my first time trying this fast casual dine in and boy was is delicious. My only wish was that they expanded into northern New Jersey as well! I had the hot honey plate and the classic plate. Both were so good and so flavorful! The classic is something can get again and again but the hot honey gives you more surprises flavor wise. I'd definitely come here over other fast casual establishments. It's certainly now my go to for chicken! It's also very well priced for what you get. My only qualm is that the online orders are always very behind despite minimal in-person orders/customers. I consistently have to wait past 30 minutes past the estimated order time, so it makes me question the utility of ordering ahead when ordering in person is definitely faster. I attended a Yelp Elite event at Dig. I had never heard of it before and had no idea what to expect. I was not disappointed. Their staff all have chef backgrounds and it is very evident in the quality and flavor of their offerings. I felt like I got a full plate from a sit down restaurant from an establishment that applies the choose and move service modality (kind of like a chipotle line). I had mashed potatoes as my base, chicken thighs, carrots, and Brussel sprouts. I also opted to try a piece of tofu. I don't like carrots or Brussel sprouts and they were absolutely delicious. The chicken and potatoes were so fresh and tasty. In addition, they have the most delicious light and fluffy focaccia bread. My wife and I went recently after conducting some business nearby. I'm not a vegetarian but this place could make me one. All the vegetable side dishes I tried (4 of them) were delicious. I had roasted carrots, roasted cauliflower, green bean salad, and a seasonal elote salad. My proteins were crispy chicken, and charred chicken thighs. Yes I was hungry! Proteins were delicious also. Service is fast and friendly. My wife had Salmon and three sides. She loved her meal as well.All the food is displayed behind glass and you just let the server know what you want. Atmosphere is more like a quaint cafe, rather than a chain restaurant. They have locations along the eastern seaboard, but only one in Jersey at present. Prices are very reasonable. An order of one protein and three sides is $14. All veggies are organic. This place is above and beyond all other fast casual places like Chipotle, Cava, etc. I only wish they had as many locations. read more

I've been wanting to try Dig for a while, and we finally made it to the Village today. Being here the first time, we both had the hot honey chicken for protein based on the reviews, Delicious! I had the kale salad for base, asparagus and roasted cauliflower for sides; they were all very tasty. My husband had the couscous for base and he liked it too. Each item had great flavor with different spices / marinades. We definitely will return to try the other items, maybe the tofu, crispy chicken or salmon. ^_^ read more

The best way I could put it is mediocre chipotle with add in ingredients that don't go with each other, and burnt flavorless fried chicken covered in a disgusting sauce. Huge waste of money. Baked goods were overpriced because of the magic GF/V tags that turn them into bricks instead of fluffy baked goods. Save your money, make it yourself or find a better option. read more

I've read about DIG's NYC locations so it's been on my list of "Places to go" for a while. So I was beyond excited to hear of their newest location opening right here in Bridgewater! Just 5 min away from me. It's their first in Nj. It did not disappoint. In fact, it exceeded my expectations. Super clean, modern and airy. Fine restaurant quality dishes served in a casual setting, without all the fuss, at half the price! Amazing to think that my dinner was less than the cost of buying a fast food meal right across the street at Chipotle. We were greeted by a really friendly guy who not only knew all the ingredients and prep for each dish, but he also offered samples for us to taste anything if we were on the fence about what to get. (I've never heard that before.) I had the hot honey chicken with Mac and cheese and sides of tomato and cucumber salad and roasted carrots. My son had the salmon with Faro, mac & cheese and roasted carrots. The portions are so generous, we struggled to finish it so we took it home. The quality of the ingredients were amazing, everything was so fresh -definitely just made from scratch. You can actually taste the difference. I also had the ginger lemonade which is insane. I could easily buy a case, it's that good. And the oatmeal, chocolate chip cookie was the perfect texture -crunchy and chewy. Most impressive is DIGS' business approach which is something I learned about on their website. Unlike most other restaurants who buy from distributors, their chefs work with local farmers to plan, source and grow all ingredients. Farmers are paid fairly and there is no waste of unwanted produce or meats. Wish more businesses were this smart and mindful about community and environment well-being. Will definitely make this a weekly go-to. Truly hope this gem gets the business and support that it deserves. read more

I found this place by accident and I'm so glad I did. The food was delicious. I had a grain bowl with salmon -- everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly done. The ingredients, portions, and seasoning were all excellent. The farro was a perfect texture, avocado was fresh, and the tomato salad was citrusy. I was pleasantly surprised that they delivered all the way to my place because it's about 25-30 minutes from the restaurant. Will definitely order again! read more

Fantastic food! It's very apparent that, even though this is a chain, the folks really give a heck about the quality of the food they are serving. The chicken, sweet potatoes, and carrots were all perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The farro was particularly surprising for its depth of flavor. I asked what the maple cider sauce was like and was told it was like teriyaki; this is a decent description but doesn't quite do the sauce justice.
