Joy Q.

Terrible restaurant and I was extremely disappointed after seeing high-rating reviews on Google. Came here on a rainy day and thought the interior looked cozy. However, I was shocked to be greeted by this rude waitress. Showed her the piece of paper issued by DMV for people who recently moved and still waiting for the WA license to be made, and she asked for the out-of-state license. As we were pulling them out of the wallet, we asked her why in a polite and curious way, cause we were never asked at any of the other restaurants or bars since we got the temporary ID. She immediately became so offended and aggressive, and said there was no photo on the temporary one (which was valid, though again we asked in a polite and curious way) and felt the necessity to immediately add "any of her former managers would have asked us out" - I was so shocked and didn't understand why she got this confrontational (in retrospect I should have walked out) We had someone in our party that was very excited about German food so we stayed. My curry wurst was extremely disappointing- heavy ketchup and the sweetness completely overwhelmed the curry taste. Fries were way too salty (especially the ones on the bottom) . The sausage itself was very gamey and I couldn't finish my plate. My friends in the party were disappointed by their plates too. Didn't finish our beers and food cause they were terrible Another thing I wanted to point out was the nasty bathroom. Dingy, dark, with nasty urine pit that's right when you walk in. I almost slipped into it. To give the benefit of doubt, it was a rainy day and might not be their fault that some guest might not have used it in a way that's respectful to others. In short, rude/aggressive service (also agree with everyone else in the review that the service was slow but that's the most minor issue compared to others), poor quality gamey/terrible tasting food - I will never come back here

Jaegerschintzel

HOLY HODENKOBOLD BATMAN?! I came here after getting my nails done for a wedding and I was very stressed, but after getting my Jager schnitzel, I was indeed a lot less stressed. I love their schnitzel compared to the Berliner in Renton, but the spratzel was not my favorite. The mushroom gravy was absolutely stunning, not too thick very savory, but not too rich. I had gotten a root beer float and it was delicious, perfect way to beat the heat. Service was great, it was very busy when I was in, and there were only two people manning between the kitchen and the bar so props to them for being on top of everybody. Ambience is very nice very comforting can be very full and can get loud but no more than any other communal-esque styled restaurant. There are large tables where you could potentially be sharing with another family or just sitting really closely at the bar with somebody but it's a very nice Home-y feeling. I will definitely be here again next time I get my nails done.

Such amazing customer service and the food was actually pretty good! Highly recommend the giant pretzel and adding in the beer cheese. Love the atmosphere and there is plenty of seating inside and outside.

We came to Die Bierstude as a party of 2 on Sunday at 12:30 in the afternoon. We opted to sit outside in the fresh air and sunshine (but not too bright). Our waitress was lovely and made some great recommendations for beer. I enjoyed a half pint of the lager and these foods: The Kasespatlze was so good! I loved this dish-it was savory and good. The gnocchi was shredded with parmesan cheese. This was so savory and hard to share with others. If you are particularly fond of parmesan and onions, try this. My entree was amazing (Regenstadt Donner Wicklem). This was an awesome gyro. I wanted to drink the tzatziki sauce, and the meat was perfect. The habanero was present without it being too much too. Normally I am not the biggest feta person, and I did not see until I got this dish. It was on the fries and I honestly could not get enough of them. I finished them all because it was a great combination. They nailed this dish! This place has really solid food! I would absolutely come back.

Hofbräu Fest (1L)

German inspired tavern serving beer by the liter! For some reason there were a lot of flies inside despite the door being closed, but it was otherwise a fairly comfortable space to relax after the work week. Service was kind and attentive despite not sitting at the bar. Fries are served with their delicious curry ketchup, and they had a nice crisp to them. The Hofbrau fest beer was on the lighter side and quite refreshing. They have a good variety of German beers on draft, so we may come back to try some of the others.

Great German beer bar in the Roosevelt. City, welcoming vibe and great beers. The bartenders are great despite multitasking. Love the atmosphere and bonus that they are decorated for Halloween! The food is mediocre and a bit pricey ($17 for a big pretzel!), but come for the beer!

Giant Bavarian pretzel

Such kind and friendly staff! Came here because we were craving a pretzel and the giant one was super filling and the beer cheese paired wonderfully with it.

Bloody Mary

We came in on a lazy, rainy weekend morning and had the best brunch. Corned beef hash and scrambled eggs with rye toast and jam. Definitely a winner! The bloody Mary was so delicious. What a great way to start our day! The ambiance is relaxing with music and great people.

As a cider fan, I was especially happy to see a solid variety of options. Although I had a frustrating experience with the kitchen, but I'd still come back. It was an especially hectic day with multiple events and a soccer game, so it seemed like everyone arrived at once. I ended up waiting about an hour for my food, which was disappointing. That said, the staff handled the situation really well, there was consistent communication, and they took the time to engage with us, which I appreciated. Still, the kitchen delays and order issues shouldn't be overlooked. On the bright side, the drinks were excellent and reasonably priced. They also have a great selection of games, which I'm looking forward to trying next time. The location is another plus, just a few minutes' walk from the T-Link, making it very convenient.

Still decent, just not something I'd rave about. The mini golf is definitely the highlight. It's really cute how the course spells out "SEATTLE," and I loved the little Space Needle to end the last of the mini golf holes. That said, there are only 9 holes and they're pretty small, so it goes by quickly. Drinks are all on tap and feature local/Washington breweries, which I really appreciated. I love supporting local! We came during their February deal and it was such a great value -- $45 for a pizza, two pint glasses to take home, two drinks, and unlimited games. Honestly, that made the experience feel totally worth it. Duffleboard was fun, though it looked a little outdated. They also had cornhole and a ping pong table, which made it feel like like there variety of things to do. Loved the vibes/ambiance (fun art and murals) and music. Overall, a fun spot for a casual hangout -- especially if you catch one of their deals!

All the…read moreoutdoor tables were full when we arrived at 6, so we put our name on the list for inside and waited about 30 minutes. The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!
