Dicks is massive. Really, its big. If anyone says theirs is bigger, they might be a liar. you will have to go check it out - and really get in theire and get dirty to see if it really is bigger. I've actually seen bigger, but not around here. This dicks is the biggest I've witnessed in the valley. Look at how tall it is. It is not well known about. You'd think that with a Dick's this big that people would be lining up to look or take something home, but it wasn't as such when I went. Even the workers didn't seem to know how big of a Dick's they were working with. You'd think they'd know since they work there but for the most part they really wern't really around to talk about the Dick products they had. Maybe they are just introverted and shy about how big of a Dicks they work at. I wouldn't be - I'd be really proud. Maybe if the Dick handlers/workers were a little more helpful or more information was posted about Dick products then I'd give this place four stars. read more

I have shopped this location many times and every time in the golf section the outcome is the same. You can never get any help from the people working in the golf dept. They stand behind the desk with no customers in front of them. The one time I did ask the clerk at the desk to re-grip my putter he asked me to come back a couple of hours later. Which is ridiculous. To re-grip 1 putter would take less than 5 minutes. Their golf staff is horrible. read more

Got held up at a party the night before our trip and had to get some supplies. I walked in 15 mins before closing, and was treated with excellent customer service. We had more thing on our list, a hydro flask, and Nick was patient and super helpful at the check out while my wife ran to the very back of the store to grab it. He helped us find the straw lid attachment. And as Nick walked us out and opened the locked door he offered us his extra personal hydro flask cup holder adaptor. Talk about customer service above and beyond, this guy knocked it out of the park! Seriously someone should give him a raise! Hands down the best customer service I've had in forever. You don't get that kinda of service with amazon. I'll be coming back! Hire more people like Nick! read more

This dicks is typical, but the staff has been pretty helpful and it's a good sized location. Good parking etc. Seems very well run. I lost my heart monitor and needed help getting into the monitors, the guy was there quick but knew nothing about them. I'm in this store quite frequently. My daughter has piano lessons down the road, and what better way to kill an hour than at an outdoors store?! The selection is vast and plentiful, but the price tags suck. I did purchase a Ruger 10/22 at this location back in July 2014 for the standard $275-ish after tax, but just about everything else is a bit pricey compared to some of the other guys. Customer service is most definitely not a priority here. I came here to exchange a gift and I didn't have a single pleasant interaction with any of the employees during my shopping experience today. The thing that really got to me, is the stench of the fitting room by the women's section. It reeked of men's feet and sweaty balls. I am not over exaggerating, It was absolutely disgusting. Dick's sucks. I was looking for a place to re-string my tennis racquets and walked into my local Dick's. The cashier told me that I would have to go upstairs to the Lodge desk and someone would look over the racquets for cracks and then I would need to pick out strings and come back, pay for them, then take them back to the desk. Okay, no problem. Go upstairs and go to the Lodge desk and it was unattended. Waited about 5 minutes. Noone in sight. Some manager type walking the floor came over and asked if he can help and I said, yes, I want to get my racquets re-strung. He said - you have to go to the Golf desk. I told him okay - the cashier told me Lodge desk, just FYI. Head to the Golf desk and pick up my strings along the way - guess what - unattended. Waited about 5-7 minutes - noone in sight. Got frustrated with the whole process and looked up other options on my phone. Put the strings back where I found them and left. Wasted 30 minutes in the store with no help. Avoid. read more

While most people in the store were friendly and helpful when questions were asked. The experience took a quick nose dive upon check out. It appeared that I was a huge inconvenience to Ashley who was my person at the check out. She couldn't have cared less about me. She even had a hard time handing me my bag. Even though it was a pair of socks and some energy jelly beans, it appeared to be the heaviest bag in the world. It was unfortunate that it ended this way. I went in to buy some disc golfs discs, but before I made my decisions as to which ones to buy, I wanted to test them. I asked the golf employee behind the counter if I may throw my discs in the fitting room, and rather than asking why or declining, he asked if he may watch, cause he has always been intrigued by disc golf. I feel like I honestly made a friend in the golf section. On the other hand, hunting customer service was horrible. That same trip I went to look at bow accessories, and rather than offer to help me, the employee hid behind a shelf and watched me. When I noticed him and called him out, he said that kids of my age are suspicious in the hunting section. Cmon man, that's not cool at all. The fitting rooms are the worst I have ever seen! The sign outside the door says push a button, so you push the button and wait a good 15 mins to have someone guy come over and tell you just go in. (Maybe they should have opened the door and cleaned out the nasty room 1st.) Once I'm it gets worse, room is filled with clothes and other random junk laying everywhere. looks and smells like my boys bedroom after a sleepover. The bench was piled with clothes all over it, so no sitting to take off my shoes. Trying not to step on the clothes and just random junk all over the ground, hooks on wall are full so I'm just standing there holding my items no where to really put my purse or clothing down. No way I'm taking off my clothes and putting them anywhere in this room. The mirror looks like it has never been cleaned and the room is dark, there is one dim light that is covered in layers of dust. Maybe its kept dark to help hide the filth (fyi it's not working) or to make people look better in the clothes, not sure why they decided to have the lighting of a horror movie in a fitting room. Not to mention the smell not sure what has died under the piles of crap in there or if someone just took an actual crap in there becuase you can't find the bathroom in this store to save your life but I couldn't take it I just left without trying on my items. I've been going to Dicks Sporting Goods for years( all locations) and have loved it. The last few visits, including today's(4-10-17),have been less than exciting . I needed with shoes and a few golf shirts. They had the shirts , but the new Nike free's they were featuring didn't have my size ( mens 10 ) How can You ever be out of a new featured shoe. This isn't Apple. I asked a floor gal associate for her thoughts on my choices of color. I had grey golf shorts and dark blue at home and " would these choices match. I'm a dude and was looking for a sec opinion . She basically was like "don't bother"me and went back to texting. Asked the shoe guy his thoughts, same thing. Crickets................. I agree with Vicki G and all others that said the same thing on there review of the staff. Worthless. I went into Dick's for my first time looking for some swim wear. It just so happen to be the first day of their swim sale. I got everything at least 50 percent off and had fantastic customer service. I talked with at least 3 different sales people and they all impressed me with their willingness to help. The reason I want to comment is because they gave me a Dick's rewards card that is a free card that gives you discounts (similar to Fry's). The reason I was impressed is because they told me it will act like a digital receipt. I won't have to bring in my receipt but just scan the card. I love that idea and hope more businesses offer it. read more

I called for information on whether they had an item in stock and I was informed they did have it. I drove 25 miles to the store after I had been at the Fiesta location to pick up the item for Christmas. When I arrived they did not have it and was told the person did not have the right information (I spoke to a manager...). They offered to order it online to get it there by Xmas eve guaranteed. Did not received it in time so I called and they said they would send it for free. Waited two weeks and there was a tracking number but UPS never received it. Finally called back and said they were out and couldn't help me. Not only did I not receive it in time, I never got it and they were terrible at communicating! Never will use Dicks again. And I am a coach and PE teacher so I'd say a valuable customer. read more

I've tried this store several times and I can never find anyone to unlock the Dressing Room upstairs! I ring the bell and wait and wait. I finally took my items to the Ladies restroom to try on but it was dirty. I went downstairs and same thing, I could not find anyone to unlock the Changing Room so I could try on my items. My experience was horrible, probably the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I bought a golf bag less than a year ago from the San Tan village store, it was an online purchase that a sales agent helped me place because the store didn't have it in stock. After 10 months the handle broke. I contacted customer service via phone and was told the golf bag had a 1 year warranty. I went back to the same store and purchase another bag from a sales agent and was instructed to bring the broken bag back. I took the broken bag back when the new bag was delivered two weeks later. The cashier in the customer service area contacted a manager and I overheard him say how should we handle this and then I was told that they would not take it back because it had been over 90 days. I was advised I needed to contact the manufacturer to return it and when I asked who that was I was told "I don't know". Having no instruction on how to return the broken bag, I went home and got the new bag and returned it the same day, keeping the old bag with the broken handle. If they are going to sale warrantied items, they should know how to handle the returning of items that are under warranty. The entire process was ridiculous as no one had the know how or empowerment to take action. I had to take numerous trips and spend hours dealing with Dicks inability to help their customers.My family and I have been loyal Dick's customers for years. We will never shop Dick's again. read more

This store gave me the worst nightmare! I went into the store to get a elliptical and when I came home and opened it its a freaking treadmill. I try to avoid this store as much as possible but sometimes my kids need for sports gear turns us up here but we never find what we go in for. Items are either in some oddball location on the opposite side of the store away from its home dpt or the store is out. I always have to hunt down help and employees are harder than heck to spot. A year ago the kayak dpt employees were rude as heck like I was some complete idiot. Don't try to return an item bought using the member rewards, they'll try telling you you can't return the item and give you a penny back! (I really wish I was kidding) The one and only positive experience I've ever had was a lady named Tina working near the workout equipment who actually came to us and offered her assistance. She went out of her way to help us find a mouth guard for football and even looked through boxes that hadn't been opened in the back. This was earlier this year so I don't know if she's even there anymore. Please hire more Tinas!! read more

While my in store experience has always been positive if not excellent, I'm writing this because of incessant email promotions. Each time I purchased something in the store I was asked if I wanted to sign up for their "rewards" or whatever they called it card. Of course i expected to be sent emails but thought I could opt out later. Not so. No matter how many times i unsubscribe to all emails they keep coming. I send them to junk mail now so they are not so in my face but am still irate over this deceptive practice. read more

Too bad there's not a negative rating. The customer service here sucks. Walked in there looking for youth shinsocks. After we were unable to locate them we wandered around that area looking for assistance. Finally tracked someone down who happened to be the shift supervisor. Dude didn't act like he knew his butt from a hole in the ground. He finally located them and told us these are all they had. He asked if there was anything else. We said no and he walked off. We then ventured upstairs and wandered around. We were never approached by anyone upstairs. We ended up at the gun counter and it was vacant. We stood there and finally pushed the help button. A young man walked over there and asked if we needed something. We were there to look at the Thompson Center rifles that were on sale. They had 2 on display. I asked to see one and the kid unlocked the rifle and handed it to me. I handled it and liked it. We asked if they do layaways and the kid said I'm not sure I don't think so. I said ok and handed the rifle back to him. He locked it up as I wandered further down the counter and when I turned to ask a question the dude was gone. My wife followed him around the corner where he was talking to a coworker and asked if we could finish getting helped. Another guy came over and was just as motivated as the first one. We paid for the shinsocks and left. As we were paying for the socks the cashier asked if we found everything. We told her about our experience and all she said was I'm sorry. Nothing else. We stood around that area and she finally told us she would get a manager. Turned out to be the first guy we dealt with. He knew who we were talking about at the gun counter and told us that he sure hopes we will give them another chance. It will be a very cold day before I visit this location again. read more

Oh my goodness, never have I ever had such a bad experience at store in my life! First of all, I wasn't greeted as I walked in, the cashier was on her phone, and talking to other associates. I asked where I could find the soccer cleats and was just pointed in a direction, no big deal, just felt like the associate could have walked me over the cleats but he was too busy flirting it up with the cashier. Then someone came up to me as I was looking at cleats, I told the man that I was looking for the Nike Mercurial Vapors, he brought them out but he brought out the wrong cleat, he brought out the Nike Mercurial Veloce. I told him I asked for the Vapors, he apologized, brought out Vapors but in the wrong color. I was growing slightly frustrated but it was no big deal but he told me these were the only ones in stock but the display clearly showed they had the Vapor I wanted, in the same size. Ugh, I asked him if I could see the mate to the display, he gave me some b.s. answer and that's when I had enough, I left.
