First of all if you charge people for extras/substitutions you had better get them right Charged me for cornbread but didn't provide it second I asked for spicy and sweet only game me spicy and to top it all off I left a note to call when delivered range my doorbell twice and woke up my sleeping infant.... Drive to a different Dickies seriously it's generally lackluster here when you go in too I've just never gotten riled up to comment on the long waits and filthy dining room General trash condition of the pickles and onions when I go there but this was the last straw for this location read more

Dickey's Barbecue Pit - Paid for cornbread but didn't get it thanks guys - Barbeque Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

DO NOT GIVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY TO THESE PEOPLE!!! If I could rate 0 stars I would. Not only were my boyfriend and I GRACIOUSLY waiting 20 minutes past when our food was supposed to be ready for pickup but the staff was horribly rude. Our food was set to be picked up at 4 PM and we were not even acknowledged until the staff started talking about us and how long we had been waiting as if we were not right in front of their faces. Once I agreed I had in fact been waiting a long time they then thought to let me know the food I ordered was not available in the store. When asked to choose my makeup dish, I chose rolls (which I did not want) and the staffed continued to mock me for not getting the name of the dish correct. They did not even attempt to lower their voices when making fun of the only patrons in the establishment. The staff spilled Coca Cola down my shirt and the food was inedible. The advertised "beef brisket sandwich" was actually just a few slabs of fat slapped on a piece of toast. I tried giving it a shot since I was starving from waiting over an hour for my meal, HUGE mistake. If you would like barbecue I would recommend saying goodbye to your good friend Wilber before trying this TRASH establishment. However, this should be no need for concern as they will inevitably be going out of business with staff and service of this very very low caliber. read more

I have been ordering food online from Dickey's to pickup in store for several years. The last time I ordered online was the end of December 2022. Today, I was going to order online to pickup in store and noticed that Dickey's bbq now charges a $3.99 service fee no matter what you order. And this is not including the tip that Dickey's apparently also wants you to add. Even if you only order a desert that is prepackaged and all the employee has to do is put desert in a bag (and probably doesn't even need a bag) they still charge you a $3.99 service fee. This is ridiculous. The reason I have ordered online for all these years was because they have deals online that you can only get online. Also, when I had gone to the store itself to order, it took forever for an employee to even notice me because they were always too busy and would only acknowledge me when they were done doing whatever they were doing, and that had become very annoying. I wonder if Dickey's charges the $3.99 service fee when you go to their store to order food? I guess I will never know because I will not go to the place to order because it takes forever waiting for them to notice me. It appears that the Dickey's bbq located at 2815 W Peoria Ave may be the only Dickey's that is charging a $3.99 service fee because I looked to see what would happen if I ordered at another Dickey's bbq (looked at 2 different ones) and neither charged a service fee for ordering online and picking up in the store. Unfortunately, the Dickey's bbq located on Peoria Ave is the only one close to me. The other Dickey's bbq are too far away from my address. read more

I just wanted to add that "customer service" reached out to me. After 8 emails which I complied with all their demands, they offered me "extra points" for my next order. That will be when hell freezes over. Absolutely a joke to call it "customer service". read more

I ordered the loaded baked potato with meat. The meat itself was pretty good but I was pretty disappointed in the potato, it was just so dry. read more

Dickey's Barbecue Pit - a sandwich and fries - Barbeque Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

This place should be closed. I waited 20 minutes to never have my food even be made, then when I asked for my money back, which they all started at me and kept walking around like lost animals. So I started yelling at some dude behind the register after waiting another 10 minutes watching them look like they had no idea what they were doing. He then start looking at my receipt finally then walked away for 5 more minutes, comes back and gives me $10 back and says nothing. TERRIBLE service TRASH Employees And after 30 minutes, I paid $7 for some cold Mac and cheese and beans. read more

Greeted with a friendly, smiling staff and a very clean restaurant! Great service and delicious food. The brisket so juicy and tender with the perfect amount of flavor. The coleslaw and potato salad are great sides. I recommend getting all 3 sauces to sample original, spicy, and sweet. I love them all! They go really well together. Also don't forget to get the free pickles and onions to top off your meal. As well as free ice cream cone yum yum. read more

Went on a Friday and it was completely empty. My wife and I ordered the three meat with brisket and pulled pork and doubled up on the brisket with bbq beans and fries. The meats were dry without a hint of smoke as if they were baked in an oven. The beans tasted like they were straight from a can. The Sprite was good though. Never going back and I suggest you don't either! read more

Ordered for curbside pickup and got our food in a timely manner. For a place that only sells bbq food I'd say the food is subpar. I've gotten better bbq at places that had bbq options aside from other entrees. 2 stars since the pulled pork sandwich was actually good and the Mac and cheese is comparable to what you'd get from KFC which I actually like so I'm okay with that. Don't be deceived by how things are worded on their menu. I tried the brisket and cheese tacos and "made it a meal." Although the title "brisket and cheese tacos" is plural and the picture advertises 3, you actually only get 1 for 3 dollars and some change. And when you make it a meal, you're actually paying for the sides individually. So I got one taco and 3 small sides for about 11 dollars. Worth it? No! Flour shell was very soft but the meat itself was dry. Sauce of your choice is served on the side. We also ordered 6 ribs which are in fact fall off the bone but they are drier than a Popeyes biscuit! Sauce is also served on the side. The only thing I'd come back here for is the pulled pork sandwich and Mac and cheese but nothing else. Spent so much money at this place only to be disappointment. read more

Shout out to the staff tonight it was busy this veterans day and they were running a bit behind. They communicated that when I first walked in and I had no problem waiting. Super upset. Usually love dickeys. Ar least the one back home in California. Ordered a 2 meat family pack and 2 meat plate Only got 2 meats when I should have had 4. My side's were also botched up and ruined. I ordered via doordash so I ended up totally screwed. Super dry meat. Nothing made right? As a waitress abd bartender it hurts my heart to say when a place is bad . and this specific location is bad read more

Entry was a bit confusing- because I didn't veer to the right and just went to the counter got stuck behind people that entered after me. A bit disorganized behind the counter, had to repeat my order 4x to two different people. Supposedly they have fried okra but it wasn't on the menu. Only pertinent bc it's my favorite guilty pleasure and I found out after I'd ordered. Staff was friendly and chopped beef was excellent. I've been a Dickey's fan for probably 30 years and I think this was the best brisket I've ever had there! If I'm in the neighborhood I will probably return. read more

Ordered online, went to pick up and they had not started order. Out of potato salad, so told them to take it off the order and refund the amount. Said they could not do that. What?! Out of what we ordered and refused to refund our money. Ordered two combo meals and had to ask for cups, twice. BBQ sauce not in bag, said we would have to fill ourselves up front. This was around 12:30pm on 7/3/23. Guy behind the counter was very rude. I do understand and empathize with business owners trying to get people to work. But if you are a BBQ restaurant, you don't run out of potato salad in the middle of the day. If so, someone runs to Safeway or Fry's and brings you some. The owner of this franchise needs to pay more attention to the business or sell. read more

Walk in, no acknowledgement from any employee, wait 10-15 minutes before my order is finally taken. Pulled pork sandwich was dry, bun was hard, not worth 6.99. The "sweet" sauce was not sweet. Baked potato was large as stated in sign. Hardly any toppings on it. The "bacon bits" were nasty and wet. Maybe a 1/2 teaspoon of sour cream, sprinkling of cheese, dab of butter, lots of green onion. Definitely not worth 6.99. Asked for more sour cream, didn't get until 10 minutes later when I asked again. Haven't been here in a couple of months, my how things have changed. Place seems to be focused on delivery/to go orders. Walk in customers are last priority. On my way out, could hear another customer complaining about not getting his food. Guess he'd been waiting a long time. It'll be a long time before I return, if ever. read more

I made a $59 delivery order, and when My food got here it was cold. My pork sandwich had barely any pork on it, I also paid for extra pickles and extra onions, and I literally got four pickles. We payed extra for cornbread and got a roll, and we got a Caesar salad, with no dressing! I do not suggest you go here, I do not suggest this restaurant read more

I ordered a couple of items, one being a baked potato. I was contacted saying they are out. I had to communicate via text since I was on a conference call. They asked if I wanted something else in exchange. I said yes, maybe more brisket. I received 1/4 lb of brisket in exchange for a $10 potato????? Brisket is NOT $40 a pound! I feel robbed! My apologies. I think this might be showing for the wrong location. My bad experience was @ 16955 North 75th Ave, Peoria. read more

I visited here from New York and didn't like the food. It was just OK.

I came here my with my Niece yesterday. This is one of her favourite places to eat. I got the pulled pork, turkey, beans and green beans. My food was good as always. My niece got the potato salad, some other side and the sausage. She said it was good. I even got a slice from here too. Great food and I will be back when in the area. read more

This is the worst tasting bbq I have ever had. The brisket was dry as cardboard. Will never visit a Dickey's ever again.

no stars!! This location is unprofessional. I ordered for delivery after two hours they canceled my order and haven't issued a refund since. I've been trying to contact customer service for two weeks but I have no reply. read more

This was a great surprise first time experience. The meats are moist smoky and full of flavor. It's a good value and I'll be back for sure. We had turkey and brisket with 2 sides. The meats are sustainably sourced from better places, and the prices are low. Nice variety on the menu too including tacos and sliders as options. Employees were super friendly as well. Second time at a Dickey's. First was in Texas. Place is clean and the food is OK+. Unfortunately, everything is overpriced for what you get. Kraft mac and cheese is better than what they sell. I won't be back. There are just too many much better options. read more

Ordered ahead for Easter dinner and pickup was a breeze. We got ribs, brisket, and pulled pork and all three were incredibly delicious! I'm serious when I say this because I'm not usually a big bbq fan. I ordered the spicy bbq sauce (normally I order with zero sauce) and it too is probably the best bbq sauce I've ever had. The staff was polite upon pickup and even the gentleman I placed my order with by phone was as nice as he could be. The one and only thing that I think would make your experience better is a different potato salad. I'm just not crazy about mustard potato salad but that's just my preference. I think a nice red potato salad would be a great addition to the menu. Other than that, I can't say enough about how great everything is! Definitely going back again and again! read more

Great tasting BBQ, Delivery was terrible, almost 30 minutes late! Everything was cold. Don't know if we will ever get delivery again but will try Dickey's again, but, I won't go out of my way to pick up read more

We met for lunch after church. This was my first time going to this particular location and the manager was awesome. They ran out of fries so he gave us coupons for a free item the next visit. We love Dickeys and we were so excited that they were putting one next to our house! We walked in a night they were training and even though there were a few hiccups this was the best service and the best food we've ever had at a Dickey's. It was so nice to finally see a Dickey's with friendly and eager employees and really good barbecue. I also love their Barbecue Boots and Badges program. My husband is a firefighter and I will now go out of my way to support a restaurant that supports my husband and the job he does. Can't wait to come back! read more

I LOVE this place. With every dish, I fall even more in love with this place. I really enjoy the ribs, obviously (duh), but the chicken and the turkey are just absolutely amazing. The baked potato casserole is genius! They have have military, cop, firefighter discounts. They do catering orders and deliver those. Want desert? No worries, they have soft serve ice cream, brownies, cookies, and pecan pie. I love to take the ice cream and put it in my root beer for a root beer float! The staff is always professional and friendly. Josh is the manager who runs the location. He is always there, smiling and helping everyone and just seems to always be on top of everything. Simone and Sarah are awesome. I met the owners of the three locations in the area on the soft opening for friends and family night, they were not what I expected. They were so nice and genuine. I've known many chain store managers and have never really liked them much. They all seem to have a "God-complex", just so conceited and bragging about their success. These owners were completely different, they wore the same uniforms as their employees and were very humble. I enjoyed the short conversation I had with them. Even so, I could tell they were so different from my former managers of Massage Envy and other chains. I would recommend this place for ordering food AND for anyone looking for employment. They don't really seem to have teenagers, contrary to the previous review, but yes, they do have young people here and would hire anyone 16 and over. I just love this place and always look forward to my next visit. read more

What a crock of shit you guys are. Food just taste like any average bbq, what sucks is your service! To go ordered, XL deal with 3 lbs of meat. First off, your freaking phone number just rings busy and has been for the last 4 hours. You told my dad the order was complete, you forget the roles, the cornbread, and the other bbq sauce. You guys suck. Pay your phone bill so customers can contact you. Fuckin losers. read more

I didn't eat here, but this place has a nice vibe for a fast casual setting. There was a decent number of people here. I ordered beef, pork, sausage (3 meats for three people) for take out. (Was planning to have buy BBQ for a house party). Wait wasn't too long, took about 10-15 minutes and the food was pretty good. It was a decent amount of meats for three and some leftovers. read more

It was much harder to order here than the other dickies I've been to. For one thing, the menu board with the sides listed on it isn't visible from the "order here" sign. The meat was dry, which was bad because they were also out of barbecue sauce in the lobby. And they were out of sweet tea. You're probably better off ordering ahead, and just doing a pick up there. read more

We ordered delivery thru Grubhub, tried Dickey's for the first time. Wife had the half rack of ribs and I got the 3 meat combo with pulled pork, beef brisket, and kielbasa. They have fried okra which was a pleasant surprise, and it was really good! We enjoyed everything and will definitely go back! One note to Grubhub, the delivery was top rate, it was early and it was great. The rating part of the app needs work. On the question if anything was crushed or spilled it is too instinctive to hit yes. I read others did it and I fell for it too. Nothing in my order was damaged. read more

I came to pick up an order for Grubhub . I walked in and went up to the counter . 3 employees present . No one even looked at me or acknowledged me . No one said hello atleast .
