Found a staple in the Mac and Cheese. It punctured my tongue.

Disappointed. I found a staple in the Mac and Cheese. It punctured my tongue. The Mac and Cheese was unseasoned and runny Disgusting.

Happy New Year's to all of my Yelp Friends

Today is New Year's Eve, and unfortunately, I have a terrible cold. All of our New Year's Eve plans canceled . My husband suggested we order food to be delivered- and this is how we found Dickies. My husband ordered us three meat plates with brisket, ribs, and chicken. Sides included Mashed potato, okra and beans. I can't speak on ambiance because we had the food delivered. Everything was delicious

This is one of those places that you should call ahead of time to ensure they have their items in stock. They didn't have any wings when we were there so they gave one of my cronies tenders as a replacement for it. The rest of us got meat plates. For 5 of us, the total came out to $82.53 which averages out to $16.51 per person. A plate comes with Texas toast, 2 sides of your choice, and a meat of your choice. I got mine with brisket, fried okra, and mac & cheese. The service was quite amiable and on point; it's too bad the food was nowhere near as good as the service. The food itself was of average, forgettable fare.

3-Meat plates...all wrong!!!

This is the worst tasting bbq I have ever had. The brisket was dry as cardboard. Will never visit a Dickey's ever again.

The restaurant is attached to The Gamer's Guild game store, so we had fun shopping there first. The store has a huge selection of every game imaginable plus dozens of tables, free to play. They have an optional membership fee, which gets you discounts at various levels. We then traipsed over to the restaurant area for lunch/dinner. My daughter has celiac disease and the establishment was very sensitive to food allergies. They also supported neuro-diversity, which was great for my grandson. They also had several TV's going, kids menu games and a game library for free. My daughter got a Twisted Turkey Club, my granddaughter got kids Chicken Fingers and I got a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. All the orders came with fries. My grandson didn't eat. My daughter raved about her gluten free meal and my granddaughter just put her head down and plowed through her lunch. My sandwich was pretty good. I got the step-child of chicken pieces: it was pretty small. It still tasted fine and the regular fries were killer. The side sauces were legit as well. I recommend the bleu cheese and Gil's Buffalo sauce. We will visit again soon.

Would not recommend their pizza, it was sauce less, overcooked, and dry. Their burger was great, full of flavor and juicy but side of fries were luke-warm. A lot of room for improvement here and hopefully they get it together because it's a pretty cool spot to hang out and play board games.

The atmosphere was wonderful, and the service made our entire family feel comfortable and cared for throughout the meal. As amazing as the hospitality was, the food completely stole the show. Every dish was spectacular, packed with flavor, and beautifully prepared. The absolute must-order is the jalapeño bacon burger -- perfectly cooked with just the right kick of spice and loaded with flavor in every bite. We'll definitely be returning for another incredible experience!

It looked pretty busy when we got there, and we heard live music would start at 7:00pm. For drinks, the menu says to ask about mocktails - I would prefer that they list it on the menu so that I have more time to decide. I forgot what was in my mocktail other than yuzu, but I enjoyed it. I think my friend's mocktail was blackberry with ginger beer. For food, they are known for their Aftermath Burger, but the Jalapeño Bacon Burger sounded even better. We told our server that we were going to share everything. We didn't ask to split the burger, but I guess he told the kitchen to, so that was a nice surprise. Did not see an up-charge for that either. The burger was SO good - loved the crispy edges of the burger patties. It was so flavorful, and I would definitely go back for it. The crinkle fries were extra crispy. The Rigatoni Alla Vodka was okay, though I wouldn't order it again. Same with the burrata - I was okay with the sliced almonds for some crunch, but the fresh strawberries did not pair well with the burrata for both my friend and me. Overall we had a good dinner with decent service. The live music was great and interactive too - the singer asked questions at a nearby table, then picked a song to sing based on the responses.

This is where the service fell apart. The server never came back This is May in Phoenix. If the server was overloaded with other tables we could understand. This was not the case. There were 3 other patrons in the restaurant. All the servers and other employees were at the hostess stand and there were 4 of them. A bartender could tell visually that our drinks at that point were almost empty. However, we were not her customers Fair enough! However, at 4:15 pm I would expect our server to have come back to check on us. Also, not begrudging employees working double shifts. But, 2 other employees eating wings in the bar. All things forgiven if I had gotten decent service. I was going to eat dinner. But, given the service climate. I decided to cut my losses and pay for my beverages and leave . I would have commented to the Manager on duty if one has been visible. I have been to other locations of BobbyQ's and had a great experience. It's just a shame the employee's and management at this location don't care. Even though this location is only 3.5 miles from my house. I doubt I will be back. It might be a while, but will go to the 27th ave location. Good luck with this location You might want to fix your service challenges or you might go the way of Zen Burger. People will only put up with so much even if the food is exceptional. Don't rest on your Laurel's.

We started off with the house made salsa and guacamole. The charred tomato salsa is crazy good. The depth of flavor was unmatched by any I've ever eaten. The guacamole was vibrant and very flavorful. We got the fries as an app this time around and the goat cheese dipping sauce was super runny - it barely stayed on the fry. I also got the steak salad which is a more expensive menu item and it had basically no toppings! Like why is this $30 but is missing the majority of the ingredients that give it flavor? Also the drinks are fine but nothing that will knock your socks off. For a relatively decent menu on paper, I wish the food tasted better. I will say that our server was awesome!
