Just average food, friendly staff, was disappointed because I've had their food before in a different city

We have been getting BBQ pork ribs at this restaurant for a couple of years. Normally they are DELICIOUS, but yesterday they were so bad we won't be going back. The ribs were burnt, dry, black, and like eating jerky off a bone. The tendon on the back of the ribs was yellow and curled. The young woman serving the ribs was wearing her mask under her nose and breathing all over our food. I asked her to cover her nose, which must have pissed her off. read more

I've been going there for the past few days for some quick lunch, and man. I don't regret it at all. Literally some of the best BBQ i've ever had and its always relatively cheap. I always get the Pork Sandwich and a side of coleslaw, its always my to go to and its flawless every time. They've almost always had 2-3 workers and, sure, they seem like younger fellows but i'm sure they'll be swifter than ever in no time at all. I do look forward to eating there more often. Out of all Dickey's I've been to, this is the cleanest, nicest, friendliest, one I have been in. Very high quality meats and delicious sides! I was very impressed by this one, the employees are top notch, and very accommodating and sociable! I will definitely visit this place every time I'm up here!!! read more

COVID-19 RELATED. NOT A REVIEW ON THEIR GREAT FOOD! I am leaving this review for anyone who has concerns about dining in or picking up during Covid. Dickey's has great food. That being said, there attitude about the health requirements for Covid is not good. On more than one occasion there have been large groups of people (6 or more) in the small space without masks and incapable of being socially distant. The staff chooses not to ask people to wait outside in order to be socially distant or ask these customers to kindly wear a mask. These are observations from personal experience. If you are at risk and want to support this business I recommend ordering delivery. read more

Definitely enjoyed our first trip to Dickey's Barbecue Pit in Kalispell. Met the nice couple who owns the restaurant and they are definitely working hard to make it nice. Unfortunately they had run out of my favorite smoked meat on our first trip, but that is expected when the line is out the door. My kids loved their kids meal. We only wish this restaurant had the ice cream machine like most of the other existing Dickey's. They were more than accommodating to us and our trip was a great overall experience. read more

We used the free delivery option for our dinner tonight. The delivery was timely, but neither of our meals included the BBQ sauce we specifically ordered. BBQ with plain meat is not BBQ. Also please think to include utensils when delivering orders. It is difficult to eat in a hotel room with no utensils. read more

The line of 4 people took about 25 minutes to get through while the people behind the counter seemed clueless. They were out of at least 1/2 of their items as well. My brisket was terrible, pretty much like jerky. Rock hard and dry. read more

Don't waste you time. I have tried to order chicken 3 times now and out of chicken by 7pm. As a restaurant your go to is chicken. Out by 7pm sounds like a mismanagement problem. Figure it out. read more

Bland, bland, bland, bland, bland. Ordered a pound and a half of brisket and a full rack of ribs to go, with mild and hot sauce. While waiting for our order, other customers in front were receiving there's with containers ( for the sauce ) and plates and plasticware. When we got our order, wife had to go back several times to ask for containers, lids, and plates ( this restaurant actually has pickles and onions you can put into to go containers, unlike famous daves ). Food smelt great driving home. Got home and anxiously dove in. First had a small taste of the brisket without sauce. Tasteless. A lil mild sauce.... nah, hot sauce... ok, that helped. Next the ribs. Where is the free ice cream and waffle fries that are an essential companion to Dickey's ribs? How can one franchise offer such a different menu! Super disappointed two of my favorite reasons To come into Dickey's are not at this location, could have saved money on hipster/chalkboard decor if you didn't want to spring for the fryer or ice cream machine. Maybe being from California has me spoiled with some great bbq. With that being said, the overall flavors of the meat were ok, the bbq beans and Mac n cheese might have been the best part of the meal. The meats were cooked fine, but they just seemed to resemble cafeteria food (bouncy chicken, floppy beef, you get the idea). I will say my dogs liked it good enough read more

Had my outdoor wedding catered by Dickey's. The food was delivered on time, the delivery guy was very friendly, quick and set it up perfectly. Several people said they haven't been to Dickey's yet but they were definitely going after eating the food. Everyone raved about every dish practically. The chicken was amazing. All in all, it was a fantastic experience. Highly recommend this place! read more

For some reason their online order system was messed up and they didn't receive some orders or whatever happened, but the manager worked so hard to get everything together and make sure customers got their orders and added desserts for the wait/trouble. It wasn't their fault but I so appreciated how hard the staff worked to fix the issue. Will be coming back! Food was sooooo good. read more

Since Dickeys BBQ has opened here in Kalispell we have been there three times. It has been excellent every single time. The owner is there and working very hard along with his wife who also works very hard with him. It's very great to see a young couple working hard and making it. It's also nice to see a restaurant that has interested owners and staff. I think this place will be here to stay. The beef brisket is excellent as well as the pulled pork and the Green beans and Caesar salad are wonderful. Keep up the great work. June 2018. Still totally awesome. I was unprepared for the deep flavor of both the pork and beef. These meats stand on their own without bbq sauce. Most of the sides are gluten free, and the place was spotless with very helpful staff who acted like they actually enjoyed preparing this delicious food! We'll be back! read more

My wife and I used to eat at this location for years when it was J.D. Morell's. When we'd heard it was changing, it was with a sad heart, but we figured we'd finally give it a try. I'm a bit resistant to change. ;) I had the July Special - Sriracha Chicken Tacos with mac & cheese and my wife had the Brisket and Kielbasa sausage with mashed potatoes and Cream Spinach. I ain't much of a spinach fan, but that Asiago makes it damned tasty! The fella didn't know how to make the tacos, but that was OK, I imagine he was new. The staff was very polite, the place was clean, and the food tasted great. I'm pretty sure this won't be the only time we'll eat here. :) read more

Kalispell got a Dickey's. This might be fast food in Texas, but we are a long ways away from the capitol of brisket. Finally, some decent BBQ up here. Their brisket is great, two different kinds of smoked sausage, pulled pork, and a couple others. All are pretty darn good. If you've been to other locations, you know what to expect. The sides are all pretty good, standard southern fare (note to franchise owner: no fried okra or free ice cream, what gives?). If you're in the mood for some good smoked meats, give it a shot. read more

This place kicks butt. Perfect for a quick in and out meal at lunch or dinner (or right before the movie). Not sure that i can say a traditional sit down BBQ joint is better, just different. Dickey's is a chain but it produces great BBQ, IMO. Good prices, take home cup is cool. Brisket & pulled pork are great. Tried many of the sides and the tacos are awesome. We are from Tennessee and love good barbecue. We wanted a change from the buffalo burgers we had been enjoying. We were both impressed with Dickeys. We had the brisket and pulled pork, beans, slaw, and potato salad. The meat was tender and had a good smoked flavor. We will definitely go there again if we're this way. read more

Went to Dickeys Barbeque today. I was not all that impressed. I had a brisket sandwich it was dry and almost flavorless. I also had a Caesar Salad, which when I ordered it they didn't have any lettuce. So I order Mac and Cheese instead. It tasted like American Cheese smothered on noodles- gross. Then after I had paid for my dry sandwich and processed cheese and noodles they got some lettuce. They asked if I wanted the Caesar Salad. I said yes, they then charged me for an extra side when I only wanted the Salad (which BTW was pretty good). The staff was friendly and helpful although I was double charged.
