I went here because it was right next to the hotel I stayed at. I went in not even knowing what was there food wise. I walked in there and it looked like a burger place. The place was basically empty with maybe 2 families. I decided on getting a burger and dr pepper. Then I went to order my food and the service was good. I then went to the soda fountain to get dr pepper and then I looked over and saw there was vanilla creamer. And if you know me I love dirty soda so of course I put the vanilla creamer in the dr pepper and it was good. Then I sat down and waited and after 2 minutes the food got there. I then took a bite of my burger and if I'm going to be honest the buns tasted dryer than the Sahara desert. But besides that the food was good. I am not from the area and had never heard of or seen this chain before so I decided to stop here and grab lunch. I tried the beast mode sandwich, large fries, cheese curds and of course a Huckleberry shake. This is the first fast food place I have ever been to where I actually liked the fries more than the cheese curds. The curds were a bit oily for me, but the fries were well cooked and salted and had a great flavor on their own... I didn't even need to use the sauce they provided. The chick had a light huckleberry flavor that was nice and the sandwich was definitely hefty. It tasted good and I liked the way they layered the meat and cheese. My meal was around $25 so I don't know how "frugal" they are, but I know I got a lot of specialty items so I understand. Service was good, but slow. The young woman who served me was lovely but the wait was longer than expected. I would definitely stop by this chain again and I'm glad I got to try them. read more

Decided to try frugals again and it was like it used to be very good, asked for no salt on the fries, but my wife had the blt which was just ok. Bacon was cremated. So make sure you let them know not to burn the bacon. read more

The burger was extremely dry barely any sauce, lettuce, onions, tomatoes very, very dry. The bun was dry falling apart. Poor poor, poor poor food. I do not recommend it. Do not go there. I was doing some laundry in the same shopping center, so I decided to give Frugals a try! I had looked at the menu and noticed they had veggie burgers, so that made me very happy. I ordered the combo veggie burger with fries. The fries were fantastic, crispy and on the thinner side. I didn't know that Frugals was a PNW chain till I came out to Kalispell. The one that's closest to me back home is the one near Muckleshoot Casino and I thought that was the only one around. Funny I ended up flying out of state just to try it. Looks like Kalispell is growing because this location is in a newly developed area. It has a drive thru (which had a line of cars, no surprise since the burgers are delicious) and a dine-in option. We chose to dine inside because of the air conditioning. It was funny seeing "Beast Mode" on the menu. If you don't know what that means then watch the "Marshawn Lynch beast mode run vs Saints(2010) NFL" clip. I have been grabbing Frugal burgers since high school. They have a great standard burger and fries when you are on the go. There is a reason I keep coming back for more. My last few visits I have had great customer service experiences on top of great burgers. I don't normally shout out employees unless I am really impressed, and I have to shout out Dagon. I'm sure I spelt his name wrong. I have had a few interactions with him, and he is always very polite and professional. I would of given a 4 stars, but he made it a 5. Great burgers and service.
