This restaurant is very confusing to me. The food is good but with the name "Burgertown", you'd expect the staff to know that most people would order a burger and be prepared. But that's not the case, it seems like every order for a burger is a surprise and therefore is a special event when one is ordered. Unlike other fast food restaurants, rather than being prepared to immediately serve a burger order, it first needs to be cooked, resulting in a long wait for the order to be processed. I will no longer wait 40+ minutes for a burger to be served and have written Bugertown off my list to be patronized. Cut the wait time to ten minutes or less and I'll be back. read more

Burgertown is under new ownership, and there are definitely some growing pains. The wait times are much longer now; we waited 50 minutes for food when the line was completely empty ahead of us. The recipe for the fries has changed, and they were served cold. Our onion rings took even longer and came out burned--disappointing that the kitchen let that pass. Finally, our large shake order was missing and given to us as a small. Thankfully the burgers are still the same. I hope the new owners can get things together and bring back the quality. read more

The burgers are really great, The Flathead Monster is my favorite! Fries and fry sauce are good and milk shakes are good too. Staff is pretty engaging and helpful. It's a very tiny place, nice enough but most ppl just get it to go-if you go there be prepared to wait in a long line..rain or shine. They text you when your order is ready though; that way you can go back to your car, weather dependent...It's only opened for the vacation/summer season so if your planning to go, do so soon! This was hands down the best burger I have had out in a long time. One person had the mushroom Swiss burger which was amazing. One had basic burger but reported that it was great. The fries were good but not great as they seem to be coated with a batter but we all ate them anyway. I highly recommend this place! I wish I lived in Montana so I could go more often. read more

Literally a 2 hour wait for a burger. Go elsewhere. Avoid at all costs. Not sure what is going on but they need to figure this out.

My wife heard about this place through a writer (John Acuff) who raved about the burgers here. We pulled up to Burgertown on our way to Columbia Falls, and found a place with great atmosphere and the feel of a hidden gem. We got there around 5:00 on a Friday, and it was already busy. They told us it would be about 20-25 minutes to get our food which was totally fine because we were just enjoying being there. We got the chili burger, fries, onion rings, milkshakes, root beer float (with extra root beer) mushroom Swiss grilled chicken sandwich and cheeseburgers. All the food was good. The onion rings were especially delicious. The bathroom is around back of the building. They have a water cooler with cups on the side of the building. Some seating inside with picnic tables around the building. Need to check this place out. Very cool, and near Flathead Lake. read more

When staying in Bigfork/flathead lake we arrived in time for lunch. This place was in walking distance from the place we were staying and figured we'd give it a try. I don't care for burger in general but these are ok. Think back yard BBQ style burger. It can be a LONG line & subsequent wait, so think ahead if headed here. There's no shade so if you have little keep that & the wait times in mind. We stop here on our walks & get the dogs a dog cone. read more

The service was amazing. They were so swamped but extremely patient and polite. They even had free water cups on the side of the building. The BBQ burger was tasty and the fries were perfectly between crunchy and soft. This is a great spot to stop for food and to enjoy the outdoors by sitting on one of their many outdoor picnic tables. read more

It was my first time visiting Bigfork Montana since I was a little kid and I drove past Burgertown on my way into town. The line was long and the tables were full. But to me that was a sign that I had to try this place and it did not disappoint! I got the Flathead Monster burger and it was AMAZING. It was so flavorful and juicy. The patty was cooked just right and the toppings complimented eachother well. The fries were fresh and perfectly crispy. It was a bit of a wait because of the high amount of customers but it was well worth the wait. I even came back a few days later for round two it was so good. I sat outside under an umbrella and enjoyed by food & a huckleberry milkshake. Highly recommend! read more

This is a must stop! The service was fantastic. The establishment nice and clean. Great food - we loved our burgers - growing up enjoying In n Out - the burger here was fantastic! You know its a good burger when you wait 30 minutes and it meets your expectations. Yes there is a long line but its a small place and I am sure not easy to find help like most establishments. Also, my husband left his sunglasses and the owner was kind enough to meet me in Kalispel to give them to me. Now that is going above and beyond! This is a family owned business, husband and wife - working 12-14 hours, give them some grace in the wait time. It's definitely worth it, play cards - they are provided to help pass the time! This joint is what other burger stands want to be. The flathead monster is hard to beat but you can't go wrong if you just close your eyes and point at the menu. Next trip to Big Fork, this place has to be on your list!!! They dress their burgers up very well and even do an amazing job accommodating the GF needs in your party. The fries are crispy and filling, and they don't skimp on the fry sauce!!! Most amazing part of the meal was the best chocolate coconut shake I've ever had!!! I'm almost glad they were out of huckleberries!!! We were there about a week before they closed for the end of the season. There was a small line and it took about 25 mins to get the food once we ordered which allowed us to chat with friends while sitting on their outside patio eating area while we enjoyed the conversation, the beauty and the clean air! For people that want a quick synopsis: this place is amazing. Go to it. Great food, great prices, clean and professional eating area. For longer review: Burger? Great. Handmade, big, good condiments. BIG. But I suppose that would depend on what you are ordering. Good quality meat. Not just a frozen one that got thrown on. Fries? Very good. Large fry is quite a bit of fries. I would suggest sharing a large between two people. Not quite as good as the burger, but still very good. Crispy with good size like fries should be. Shake? On the same level as burger. Great. I recommend mint as that was the flavor I had but I am sure they are all good. Soft serve? Creamy and good. I ate a substantial amount when I was there as you may be able to tell from my range of items listed. Prices are very good. Hamburgers around $3 with increase based on number of patties, condiments, bacon, etc. I had the Viking Monster which was well worth the $7 or so as it was massive. We waited all week to go today, and it wasn't good. Hubby had a coke, a Notorious BIG burger with onion rings, and I had a coke, and a 1/4 lb cheeseburger with fries. The meat was okay, but unseasoned. The lettuce tasted like pre shredded bag lettuce. Kind of "muddy". The fries were cold and unsalted. The onion rings were over cooked. I barely ate. Hubby made it through most of his. Lunch was exactly $30. We won't be back. read more
