Just an amazing assortment of meats. I can't remember all the options, but I can tell you that we just ate a flat iron steak that was the best we have ever had... perfectly tender, no fat or gristle.... We used their rub which was also just amazing.... For $21 we had a steak that would rival any you can buy for $40 a person... we are about $60 ahead and are thrilled. We picked up Elk filet, and one other Elk cut, some fresh Trout that looks great... some Halibut...we are in an RV and would have enjoyed picking up another few hundred dollars worth of meats if we had room. We are in town for three days and will be eating all the meat we can as well as taking as much as possible with us. They have all sorts of jerky and sausage that they make. They have beef that's been marinated after being needled. Their beef looks as good as you can imagine. The Elk and Bison are frozen, but look great. Ground elk and bison is available as well as a 50/50 mix. They have summer sausage too... This place is like a candy store for carnivores! We will definitely be back to pack the freezer. If we can figure out how to get hem to mail meat to us in SC, we will do that too! OK the next day we went back picked up more rub and two additional flat iron steaks. Btw the leftover flat iron made two of the best sandwiches ever eaten in Glacier Park. Also got bacon, two types of steak recommended by the butcher, some summer sausage, and about three other items that I can't think of right away... oh, and a larger bag of their rub.... We stayed at an RV park close by and a very nice couple told us about the meat shop next door. We were surprise to see all the cuts of meats. They offered bison, elk, grass fed beef. Growing up in Texas where brisket and BBQ is king this joint brings the A game. Certainly prices have gone mad but if your going to spend the $$ Perfect Cuts is very hard to beat. Flew Into Kalispell for vacation in Glacier National Park and Banff. We had a cabin in a Banff with a small kitchen and a grill so we wanted a good steak to grill out one night. Person. Helping us recommended the horseradish tri tip. It was the best steak we have ever had. So tender and flavorful. If I hadn't known it was marinated in horseradish I would never have guessed it. The owners of this shop deserve sainthood for producing some of the most deliciously marinated tri tip (and I live near Santa Maria, Ca which is known for putting this delectable cut of beef perfection on the map). Kentucky bourbon marinated tri tip was the one we got. Bottom line, I bought a bunch of assorted meats from here on my way to West Glacier RV park to BBQ and I would consider moving to Columbia Falls just so I could shop here. Fortunately for me, my daughter moved here so I am guaranteed that every time I come to visit I will be eating some tasting meats. read more

Many many years ago I worked in a butcher shop and as of recent years I have been so spoiled by my amazing butcher in San Diego I knew I needed to find a good one in or near my new hometown. I went in to check it out and came away with so much that I had to freeze alot of it. As I go through and prepare on different days what I bought I have been so impressed with the quality of meat, the taste and the cut. The stand out has been the already smoked, hot ribs that I brought home for dinner one night. I will never leave there again without a side or two. Still making my mouth water. Ok Campers listen up. If you are planning or are already on your way to Glacier do not stop at the grocer for your meats. Head straight to Perfect Cuts in Columbia Falls. The town you have to go through to get just about anywhere in the Flathead. And YES the way through is a dedicated SPEED TRAP. They are looking for YOU! Here is what I know about Perfect Cuts. Others, please fill in the gaps. When walking in you will be greeted by an array of freezers and refrigerators. Beef jerky, precooked, smoked meats, fish and sausages to your left to mention a few. All vacuumed sealed for that trip back to Glacier or to your fridge back home. To your right you will find all sorts of sausages, and other options. Directly in front is the display case. Your T-Bones, New York Strips, Salmon, Steelhead, Sausages, and chop meats. Behind the counter bustles with staff hard at work. I counted at least 7 in the small space on the July 4th weekend. Right there in front for you to see just what they are working on. It may take a moment for them to finish up with there current project before they come running over to take your order. Use this time to take in the many offerings. The space is adequate but can quickly become cramped with a few customers. Once your ready, bring your items up to the display case and wait. You can select what is available or request a particular cut. If you happened to be a hunter I am pretty sure you can have this crew do the cleaning and preperation as well. For a price. Talk to them for details. They have a vacuum seal machine. The staff will ask you if the order is for immediate use or for the freezer. Immediate goes into a gallon zip-lock bag. Everything else goes into the the vacuum sealer. I would recommend anything not being consumed in a few hours be vacuumed sealed. By the looks of it, it took about 30 seconds for the the entire process. So no long waits or any real inconvenience to the staff by asking for this service. To checkout and pay head to the far right, the small nook hides the register. All forms of CC and cash look like they are accepted. If coming in from the West, turn onto Nucleus Ave. The main drag through old Columbia Falls. It has a small turning lane. Then make your first right onto Ninth. Take that down the hill to the stop sign and make a right. Watch out for kids. There is a playground nearby. Then make another right. The shop is the last building as you head back to Highway 2. You can't miss it on your right. Just after some of the local homes. If your coming from Glacier, just turn onto 3rd Street. If you pass it, just head up to Nucleus Ave and follow the above steps. Don't waste your money on Supermarket meats. Head to Perfect Cuts in Columbia Falls. Now if we can just get a sourdough baker and a specialty cheese shop. read more

I love this place! They have a great selection of meats that are smoked in house. You can buy fresh beef, pork and chicken. There are multiple coolers and freezers with lots of different things. Some seafood, some sausages, even lunch meat that's heartily sliced up. I stopped going to the deli at the local grocery, this is the real deal. Lots of handmade hot dogs, polish, elk, bison, pepper sticks, ground sausage, even pork skewers wrapped in bacon. A pork popsicle, if you will. We were vacation up in the Glacier area in July 2012. I found out about this place from the homeowner of the house we were renting. After coming back from a hike we googled the store, hungry for some grilling. It was 6PM. They were still open (thank goodness). The owner was a very pleasant, knowledgable fellow. He seemed very dedicated to putting out quality product. We eventually bought some jerky, ground beef, and a couple of steaks. The ground beef was sublime. One of the best burgers I've ever grilled (or tasted in a restaurant). Perfect fat content / beefy flavor. 7 minutes to perfection. They told me it was a mix of chuck and sirloin with a bit more chuck with 12-15% fat content. The steaks were also excellent. Great flavor and well butchered. We purchased a flat iron steak and a shell steak. The jerky is addictive as well. Skip the supermarket and buy your meat here. You won't regret it. read more
