My one and only suggestion would be adding the cilantro/onions/salsa bar that SoCal Type joints have. But hey, I get it. This ain't SoCal. As I tried to exchange my dissatisfying meal, the worker scolded me saying it was my fault for making the order and not correctly reading the menu. There was absolutely nothing she wanted to do about it and was sarcastically asking her co worker what my problem was. She was extremely rude and put a bad taste in my mouth; not that it could get worse after a taste of their meat. I will not be giving my business again or recommending them to anyone! Save yourself some time and skip this truck.

Currently their set up is a tent and tables but soon will be a food truck. Yay My favorite was the brisket knachos on fries. The beer cheese sauce was awesome. I doused it with mustard sauce, bbq sauce, jalapeños and onions. Then ate it with a fork. Couldn't finish it. But wanted to. So much oozy gooey goodness. The same brisket was also on a sandwich and my husband got that with a side of fries. The prices are reasonable and the service top knotch. After getting a delicious beer we ordered the knachos (tater tot nachos) with smoked brisket and a pulled pork sandwich. HOLY MOLY. Who knew BBQ in Montana could be so good. The brisket on the nachos was juicy and flavorful. It came with beer cheese where there was an excellent balance of flavor and we loaded it up with jalapeños, onions and sauce. We especially loved the homemade Carolina mustard sauce and also enjoyed their BBQ sauce. The pulled pork sandwich came on a fancier hot dog type roll which was a new way for me to have a pulled pork sandwich and fabulous! Loaded up with the same toppings this melted in our mouths. Paired with a SunRift beer and live music on a Saturday night = heaven. For a girl who doesn't eat a ton of meat this was SO worth it. Make an effort to come here from near and far please !

I was surprised to find their pricing was so reasonable and from such an accomplished Chef and team. They have been so easy to work wit hand so much fun to plan with for our wedding. THEN, my rehearsal dinner location that has been putting me off for months about getting reservation details beyond "sure we can do that" comes back with "That will be $4k room reservation since its on one of our busy days, looking forward to working with you" 3 weeks before the wedding. In a panic I reached out to see if there was any way S&M would be willing to squeeze in some additional catering for me that weekend and all I heard was "don't worry! we got you!" at a fraction of the price of my previous intended location, on short notice and with a smile. Chef Star and her team have already gone above and beyond and we haven't even gotten to the good stuff yet. We are so looking forward to actually getting to taste the food (Which I've heard is incredible), but even if it was just mediocre, they will still get a 5 star review. I'll be back with pictures after the event, but just know, you're getting more than a caterer if you hire Chef Ironside, you're getting a partner in your event. someone who is as invested in its success as you are.
