Probably the worst stir-fry food experience I've had. It was immediately apparent that the Kalispell MT location is understaffed, as we waited 10mins to be seated (there were several available tables, just no one present to greet and seat us). And similar to other reviews, the cleanliness of the restaurant is something that needs attention. Once our waitress did appear (which she thanked us for our patience, while apologizing to us several times for the wait) she was very attentive, but even her great service couldn't overcome the poor quality of the food. This is the 2nd time I've been to a HuHot (first time was in Spokane, WA about 15yrs ago)--I realize why I have not frequented this chain: it's infamously forgettable and even though I'm mindful of their staff and their need to make a living, I would strongly dissuade people from going to this locale--the poor food quality is not worth your time or dollar. One other item, not that it impacted me (as I didn't even eat what was on my plate), but their staff was putting up their ingredients 30mins prior to closing...while unbeknownst to them they had another customer waiting for someone to acknowledge and seat them--feel sorry for that guy. read more

This is a restaurant where you select your fresh ingredients and then someone cooks the food for you in a stir fry fashion. This place has REALLY gone downhill. We hadn't been for maybe a year, partly bc the last few times we'd tried to go, it was randomly closed during open business hours. The place was empty aside from a few diners during peak dinner hours. While taking our order, the waitress's eyes suddenly droop shut - she was clearly high. She didn't offer the side salad or soup. I flagged down a different server, who said they were out of soup. The buffet was a huge mess - all the food spilled into adjacent sections. No rice at all, which sucked. I used a nice mix of sauces, but the final dish had zero flavor. My hubby's dish had a huge piece of cardboard in it. The side salad is about a fifth of the size it used to be and was missing several ingredients. I'm pretty sure they raised their prices, too, bc it costs about $20 a person now. This is a chain restaurant and I normally try and eat local when I go to new places but since the first time I tried this place, I have been back three times. I always get the to go balls because it's normally just me and I am unable to do an all you can eat as I have had gastric surgery. The to go bowls are a little bit bigger than the normal balls that they have due to the fact that you were taking everything to go and you need to have a bowl big enough to put everything in there. I love trying new combinations with sauces and different vegetables. Every time I go in there. But my protein is always chicken and shrimp. Cannot say enough good stuff about this place as you get to make your own items. So if you don't like it, that's your fault and nobody else's. Definitely will be going back. read more

It's okay for a mongolian BBQ type place. The portions were what you made of it. The ingredients were either fresh or fresh frozen. I thought the overall finished dish lacked a little flavor. It just isn't that memorable. It's all you can eat, but who really needs to stuff themselves? One trip through the line is like two times the amount of food you're supposed to eat at a setting. My point is is was a little pricey to cover the overconsumptive hog trough. I would have preferred pricing based on the number of trips you make to the prep area. My point is that it is a little pricey for the amount of food you're supposed to eat while maintaining a healthy weight. read more

Super fun spot for lunch. Its all you can eat but we just did one serving and called it a day. You make your own bowls with protein, veggies, and carbs. Dont forget the sauces, they have lots. You bring your bowls to the cooks and they cook it up for you. The cooks were great, my 5 year old loved it. They put on the show. read more

He decided to mix both my Husband's bowl and mine together on the same grill without asking us if we wanted our plates together or not. He just assumed and did it his way. Coming from houston I had high hopes for Asian food. This spot is not bad. They accommodated for me being vegetarian and cleaned up the grill and used new utensils to grill the food. If you have allergies or any dietary restrictions do not go here. They recently changed their policy and will no longer clean the grill for people with allergies or people who are vegetarian because it takes too long (even if the restaurant is completely empty). The staff was very apologetic except for manager Brian Claybough who was very unhelpful and didn't even bother apologizing. We have been driving to the US from Canada to go to HuHot for years and they have always been very accommodating but changed their policy without warning. Their website still claims that they are able to accommodate people with allergies or who are gluten free which is not true. It is a shame that so many people will no longer be able to eat here just because they consider taking 30 seconds to clean the grill to be too much of a hassle. Very disappointing they changed the policy and how HuHots management team handled the situation. If you can't accommodate allergies or dietary restrictions don't lie on your website and say that you can! read more

We were around an went for the $25 for two people unlimited food offer on friday and some other day. Service and food was great. The hack is to use 5-6 sauces in your bowl so that it has flavor. Being a veteran of Mongolian BBQ around the world, HuHot does a great job. The ingredients are fresh. They have a great selection of sauces and oils. The chef and server on our first experience were the best! Boys really enjoyed the smores dessert too. I get the complaints about messiness but that is par for the course in Mongolian BBQ especially in these times of short staffing. People should consider that it also takes experience to make a good blend of sauces and oils. HuHot has nice little recipe cards on the table to help out first timers. My husband went back for 3 different bowls, and each one was so burnt that the noodles were hard. Mine weren't as overcooked, but it was still very dry. Love the pristine mountains and sceneries of the area! My wife and I travel quite frequently and we rarely come across extreme Ignorance and Arrogance like this place. We visited this establishment for a "Mongolian" style food. The waitress was so sweet and kind. However, the grill master and his lady comrade, Horrible!!! After selecting our preferred ingredients for our bowls, we approached the cocky Iron grill master's station to cook our food. He chose to ignore my wife and I by turning his back on us without saying anything. He picked up both bowls and started mixing them together without even asking how to prepare them. We mentioned something to him about the bowls being two seperate entrées. He responded: What do you want me to do, split it in half? This is after mixing everything up already. Btw, my wife's bowl had beef in it and I cannot do beef, due to my allergic condition. His lady comrade, came to his rescue and suggested us to start two new bowls. No apologies whatsoever from the Manager, grill master, and lady comrade. Except from the Sweet waitress who served us. May God bless her abundantly!
