Not gazpacho, not borscht, no brightly colorful cream soups or bisques, no mint soups. They have plenty of interesting sandwiches on homemade bread. They have limeade! We were frequently dealing with minimal time for lunch, so ordering JJ's and having them deliver to the office building was the standby. While generally speedy, it was always a hit or miss regarding whether or not your order would be as expected. I stopped back recently for the first time in quite a while. Opting to pick up my order while running home after errands, I customized my order from the app, submitted it, and had it confirmed for a 3pm pick-up. Upon arriving a couple minutes after 3pm though? My order wasn't ready. One of the guys had to rush to put everything together... ... and by the time I got home, unwrapped my sandwich, and took a bite? I realized the guy who prepped my sandwich had missed adding the Italian vinaigrette. Such a DRY sandwich without the Italian vinaigrette! *sigh* This is what happens when they have to do everything in a rush because they didn't pay attention to the order pick-up time. For a generally mediocre sub? I've always thought their prices were a little high too. Even worse when they don't make your sub correctly. TL;DR Hit or miss. You just never know if they'll get your order right. Speed of delivery (if you're really close) works to their advantage, but going back to this location today reminded me why this location is just NOT somewhere I really bother with anymore.

And take their suggestion of adding hot peppers. With plain oil and vinegar, it's adds a nice little kick to the sandwich. Bright, clean, and airy... they either don't intend to do high traffic here, or people just grab-and-go, because seating's pretty limited. Definitely smaller than the Evanston shop I'm used to. Still, the decor's just as smart-ass and saucy as I remember; it's just my style!

Friendly service. The place sits at a quaint little intersection in a town that looks like it belongs on a postcard. I ordered the chicken cheddar bacon wrap. Absolutely ridiculous. Now, I was starving, so I did consider the possibility that I would've eaten a seat cushion and called it delicious. But this thing was genuinely incredible. Today, I tried their Very Berry Protein Shake, and it was surprisingly good. I'm usually not a fan of peanut butter, but I finished the whole thing! They use Gold Standard protein (my go-to), so I'm guessing it has around 24g of protein, which is a solid boost. It even got me thinking I should start making my own shakes instead of sticking to the basics. The staff adds to the charm - there's an older gentleman, who I think might be the owner, and he was incredibly kind and friendly. I highly recommend checking this place out! It's a great spot with solid options, and it's just what Downtown Ithaca needed :)

The Ice cream was really good, ALL of the employees were very nice. We felt no judgement leaving the table and going outside to order Ice cream. While we were waiting for our ice cream, the wind shifted and the odor was just disgusting. This was outside, we took a look around and we found a Porto-potty on the side of the building. Just around the corner from the Ice cream pick up window, and next to that was a Dumpster. So take your pick on what caused the odor. While we were in our car we decided to play a game of what we would do differently, if we owned it. This what we came up with. 1) Deep clean the inside eating area 2) add ventilation to the kitchen and dining area. 3) add a mesh, magnetic fly door. 4) make sure employees are also swatting and disposing of flys. 5) move dumpster to front left side of parking lot. 6) buy a portable- potty trailer, those will need magnetic mesh fly doors on those as well.
