I put the wrong name on my picture but it does have a chipotle bbq sauce on it! So so good. I was a little hesitant with the blueberry but it definitely gives a sweet heat vibe. I called it in and the order was ready when I got there. Everyone there was so nice and a friend of mine came with me and they greeted her with the love only locals can give! Can't wait to work my way through the menu! Parking is a little funky with all of the construction but we were able to park right out front. read more

From the phone call to order the food to the pickup to inhaling the sandwich - great experience. We've been living here for two years and I'm mad we didn't try Gorgers sooner. The pork belly is amazing. We got the Dante's Inferno. The sandwich is huge. We were wondering if we needed to get one for both of us, but splitting one was plenty. There is so much meat on this sandwich - tasty, tasty meat. The sweetness of the Korean barbecue sauce is delicious with the pork belly. I'm so happy we got the side of chimichurri sauce. The gentleman who took our order over the phone confirmed it was a "good choice" when ordering, so he wasn't lying. The fries are real, too. WOW! I have never been to a restaurant that offers better flavor, quality, diversity, service and value. I will ONLY eat at Gorgers on the occasions I buy my lunch each week. They are the only restaurant in the area that I will try anything on the menu and never be disappointed. Simply by providing explanations of what goes into each dish allowed me to expand my palette and try things I would have never otherwise tried. All the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly, their specials are carefully though out and unlike many restaurants, the flavors greatly vary with each dish. Cooking with flavors is certainly an art form and The guys at Gorgers take extreme pride in their work. I cannot say enough good things about this business! In many other cases, I have left restuarants with a sense of buyers remorse...that the food simply did not match up to the expesne paid with my hard earned spending money. I have NEVER felt that my money was wasted at this establishment. Each and every dish is well worth the money. In a world overrun by fast food, lazy menus and artificial flavors, Gorgers stands out. It does have more seating and is definitely more spacious but the menu is more limited. My favorite sandwich there was the chupacabra and now apparently you can only get it in Ithaca. The shrimp po boy is worth driving the 40 miles to cortland from nowhere I live. Fiancé got the Buffalo chicken, and his only complaint was that he prefers blue cheese over ranch dressing on Buffalo chicken. We'll order it that way next time. I've had their fried pickles twice now, and both times they were good. They're a bit large, however they are thinner than spears. Despite not being completely in love with them, they are the best fried pickles that I've found in Cortland. The dipping sauce is also out of this world. It has the perfect amount of spice for the fried pickles. On another note, their bread for the Philly cheesesteak sub was to absolute die for. It was absolutely incredible. The steak was fresh and the cheese was perfectly spread throughout. Would definitely get the sub again. The atmosphere is nice, and the workers were very pleasant and helpful. We came here twice in two weeks after trying their apple jicama slaw in tacos. Saw they were making it again to put on burgers and chicken sandwiches, so we had to return. Seriously the owner should can and sell that slaw alone! The fried chicken sandwich was the cleanest fried chicken I've ever had. The breading was amazing, perfectly cooked, add in the slaw and mango/habanero chutney and it's probably the best thing I've ever tasted in Cortland. No joke, this food tastes like it should belong in the city. We need to get Guy Fieri out here! Make sure to check their facebook for specials, they come up with crazy stuff all the time and I'm pretty sure they make everything from scratch. Buffalo burgers, pork belly or beef rendang or mahi mahi tacos, reuben eggrolls, "rubbish plates"...that's all within the past 5 days. I've never been a fan of eggplant but in trying their panda wings, you'd have no idea. They basically taste like a chicken wing. I have no idea how to explain it, but I get them every time. Homemade bread, tasty subs that are filling, decently priced, fries are good but the food mostly messy finger food and they don't use plates just paper unless you get something like a bowl of salad. Good food for Cortland with a few healthy options like soups and salads. The Steak Cabernet Sub with the red wine sauce is what I get every time and it's really good, juicy, filling, the cheese is tangy and goes well with the steak, the sauce is sweet but not too sweet. One time I got a salad with chicken on it and it tasted old and over cooked. The strawberry lemonade was gross and tasted like straight up strawberry syrup that had been sitting in the fridge for days. This place is always clean and well kept considering the SUNY Cortland students come through here everyday. It's 50/50 with this place. If you don't like your food and have to send it back be prepared to deal with moody cooking staff. The store location in Ithaca has a much more friendly atmosphere and staff. Plus in Ithaca there's lots of really cool art there for sale. read more
