Blueberry Chipotle Rice Bowl
Alexis K.

I put the wrong name on my picture but it does have a chipotle bbq sauce on it! So so good. I was a little hesitant with the blueberry but it definitely gives a sweet heat vibe. I called it in and the order was ready when I got there. Everyone there was so nice and a friend of mine came with me and they greeted her with the love only locals can give! Can't wait to work my way through the menu! Parking is a little funky with all of the construction but we were able to park right out front.

Stopped by for some food while on a road trip and this place was exactly what we needed! Big portions, super flavorful, and you could tell the ingredients were fresh and of high quality. Such a hidden gem: it's food that people would be lining up for if it was in NYC.

My boyfriend and I traveled to cortland from long island for work and decided to stop in to Gorgers for a bite... These are the best freken heros (subs/hogies what ever you wanna call them) EVER!!! Better than any hero I have ever had... sooo sad that I will be craving something from 5 hours away ): but we will be back. Mathew was such a nice guy and pleasure to talk to, thank you for the great food and visit! This is the pork belly sandwich

BEST FOOD in Cortland, hands down! This place is really a diamond in the rough! The owner has a great menu, but his lunch specials are Amazingly good! You'll get a 5 star meal at a reasonable price with the specials. He has fun being creative and mixing things up for the specials, while having a consistently good menu to fall back on. Go there! Enjoy! Tell your friends!

Shrimp Po Boy Sub & fries

This was my go to place when I was in college. I've had shrimp po boys in other places but this place by far has the best one. Generous amount of fries always appreciated!

Freshly baked bread, freshly cut cheese, unique sandwich selections, what's not to like? Now I gotta say I am used to the Ithaca location so this one is a bit of a change for me. It does have more seating and is definitely more spacious but the menu is more limited. My favorite sandwich there was the chupacabra and now apparently you can only get it in Ithaca. However, I still must say the food is top tier and whatever you get you will not be disappointed. Also quick efficient service!

The food is like when your best buddy grabs random stuff from the refrigerator and makes it into something amazing.

Philly cheese steak sub

I've had their fried pickles twice now, and both times they were good. They're a bit large, however they are thinner than spears. Despite not being completely in love with them, they are the best fried pickles that I've found in Cortland. The dipping sauce is also out of this world. It has the perfect amount of spice for the fried pickles. On another note, their bread for the Philly cheesesteak sub was to absolute die for. It was absolutely incredible. The steak was fresh and the cheese was perfectly spread throughout. Would definitely get the sub again. The atmosphere is nice, and the workers were very pleasant and helpful. The inside is clean, and decorated nicely.

I had a double smash burger I could not taste the meat it was hard to eat it. I just tasted veggies and sauce . But the onion rings were awesome.

For me, they are best eaten with limited toppings and no sauce. I'm not a huge fan of their burger sauce but others seem to like it but if you leave the sauce you get the full flavor of the burger and seasoning. I recently had to make a visit with a group to that place where there are nearly half a dozen guys that make burgers and as a test, I tried eating it the same way I'd eat it at here and discovered there was absolutely NO flavor. The best way to find out if a place makes good burgers is to eat it plain with little to nothing on it because if they are covering it all up with add-ons, they don't have a good burger, they just have cooked meat. TKC doesn't need the sauce but it's there if you want it. Better yet, they are reasonably priced and less expensive than any other burger joint in the area. (We are talking GOOD burgers here, not the fast food chains but even then...still probably cheaper.) Second, they have a fantastic hot honey chicken sandwich that has a lot of chicken on it. It is fried perfectly and the hot honey adds just the right touch of sweet and spicy to give it a wonderful flavor. Finally, sides of onion rings and fries are all done perfectly. I think personally the onion rings have the WIN here but either way you can't go wrong. Oh, and they have ice cream! That isn't the highlight for me, but they have a decent selection of flavors and are reasonably priced. My choice is the non-dairy cookie dough and peanut butter (I think I have the flavor right) and it tastes great. This place seems to always be busy and the owner is always cheerful and friendly. Do yourself a favor and make a visit and in the process support a wonderful local business! You won't regret it. P.S. Adding this - I've taken multiple people here over the past few months and not had a single person disagree with me on how great this place is. So, while the review is mine, I'm quite certain my family and friends would give the exact same 5-star review here.

DiBella's Subs - Italian Assorted sub on everything bread

It was getting late, when I came across DiBella's and decided to go in for a sub. With few sub…read moreshops in Ithaca and vastly different qualities, I decided to try DiBella's to avoid the only other open shops like Subway. I was pleasantly surprised with my experience! Coming in 20 minutes to closing (sorry about that again!), I was still met with friendly staff who helped me navigate the menu. I ordered two "$9.99 5" mini meals" which were actually great! I wanted to eat something light but filling for dinner, and this meal deal was perfect! The portion was just right. Additionally, the subs are super affordable and customizable without stupid upcharges. I ordered a veggie sub which was really delicious! I also have heard that their meat options are tasty! Do I think it lives up to their self-proclaimed slogan of "being the best sub sandwich you've ever had?" Not exactly. But I can say that the subs are pretty good and maybe the best SERVICE I've ever had at a sub shop, especially in Ithaca. This place is better than Subway, Jimmy John's, Firehouse Subs, and Panera. I genuinely enjoyed my meal and I'm sure the non-veg options are super delicious. Additionally, the restaurant was pretty clean and has good seating for lunch. Although I've never been here during busy times, the subs were made pretty quick! My only complaint is that the packaged pickle you can buy as a side order is very average. Not a good classic NY sour pickle, so I would avoid it and buy chips instead. Overall really happy with my food, and the friendliness I experienced from the team at DiBella's really drives me to recommend this place even more. They're also super attentive with food allergies and openly tell which ingredients may not align with your dietary restrictions. Shoutout to 2nd manager Dariyen (? Sorry if spelling is incorrect) for providing quality customer service and running closing shift with grace. I look forward to returning!

A couple of months ago I ordered online for a pick up. When I arrived at the predicted time the…read moresubs were not ready so I sat and waited. Then I waited some more. Then I walked up to the counter and asked the person making the subs how long it would take. I was informed one sub was made, but the second still needed to be completed and would be ready shortly. So I sat back down and waited some more. After another 15min another employee ringing up a walk-in customer realized I was waiting a looong time since I had been sitting there for almost 40min total. That person asked me what I ordered and immediately found it waiting behind the counter! It was never moved to the pickup shelf and was completely ignored. Once I got home I submitted feedback to DiBella's via their website. I was sent a coupon code for my next visit. I waited a week then decided to use the coupon to order on my phone app. Well, the coupon code would not work no matter what I tried. I used my laptop's browser to order with the same result, "coupon code not found." I then submitted feedback again to DiBella's on their website and to this day I have not heard anything back from them. I've decided to give up on them completely and tried to delete my account via the phone app and received the error message, "Route not found." This is the most amateur operation I've ever seen. I just want to say the employees of the Ithaca location are VERY nice and have been the best part of my experience with DiBella's. It just seems like once something goes wrong, the efforts to make things right just make it worse.
