Wow!! Dibellas has really stepped up their customer service game. Even though my Philly sub had to be remade(missed double meat) the mgr personally re-made it and apologized. When you get a large sub, congratulations, you now have lunch and dinner. If you bring a friend to DiBella's, congratulations, you just made a new best friend. The DiBella's experience begins right when you order your sandwich. No longer are you subjected to mindless assembly line sandwich artists, you get your sandwich made by one person. You can introduce yourself to your sandwich maker and make a new friend so you know he is going to make it with love. Go on and throw all the toppings on your sandwich, your new friend is going to make a great sandwich for you. You can also get your sandwich grilled if that's your thing, but you'll go through mild withdraw as you have to leave your friend to finish your sandwich as you go down the line to pay. As you get the double whammy of having to pay and having no sandwich in hand, FEAR NOT, for the sandwich is on its way. Once you get your sandwich that is going to sustain you for the rest of the day, notice the freshness of the bread and the amount of meat and toppings on your sandwich. Try not to drool over everything, it may make the bread soggy. As you chow down your delicious sandwich made with love, remember to save the second half of your large for dinner. I know its tough, but it has to be done. OK, seriously, the bread is fresh and they have about 5 breads to choose from. The large is really big, so be prepared. They do add more stuff in their sandwich than subway and penn station, so the price does make sense. The last two times I've gone, they have had trouble with the grill, so the wait on the grilled sandwiches have been a little longer than needed. If you're looking for healthy, stay at subway. Came here for lunch with my hubby because a friend told me that it's his favorite sub place. We were on the late side of lunch service, so there was no line. Though there are set subs you can order (e.g. Dagwood has corned beef, turkey, and ham), I decided to make-my-own. My eyes were bigger than my stomach that day, so I ordered the medium. (The medium is huge!!) I went with the multigrain bread, and from there just picked my selections off the menu, from condiments, toppings, up to three meats, and cheese. Had the honey mustard (wish they had dijon), lettuce, tomatoes, turkey, and provolone. You have the choice of room temp or grilled. I asked for grilled, which meant they would have to add the lettuce and tomatoes afterwards. We got the subs to go, and when I got home I noticed they forgot the lettuce and tomatoes :o( . I will say that the sub was enough for two meals for me. It was delicious, and I loved a warm, grilled sub, but I missed my toppings.... read more

This place is truly a great addition to the Blue Ash area. It may seem like just another sub sandwich joint, but there are a couple things that makes this place truly unique. The second you walk in the door, you are warmly greeted by several of the employees. First timers and welcomed forward with an explanation of their options and a recommendation for sandwiches. This place is definitely designed with crowds in mind. There is a line of probably 8 or so workers eager and ready to make your sandwich. Compare this to Subway where there is one occasionally uninterested "sandwich artist". You start out with choosing from 4 different types of bread. I have tried the regular white and the "Everything" bread. The breads are baked in house and have a sort of bite to them similar to a great bagel shop, but still very appropriate for a sandwich. This really makes the sandwiches stand out and there is nothing like it around here. I first ordered the "Godfather" upon a friendly recommendation. The Godfather is a combination of Salami, Capicola, and Spicy Ham. You can then add the usual list of cheese and toppings to your sandwich. If your sandwich is cold, they give it to you right there, but if it is grilled they give you a number and bring it out to you. This sandwich is nothing like what you would see at a Subway. It is packed with a solid portion of meat and honestly, I could barely eat the small! The flavored were excellent and the bread was superb! My wife ordered the buffalo chicken sub an I tried a few bites of it. It also was delicious, but I would recommend adding a little more buffalo sauce to it to spice it up some more. I have also tried the Philly cheesesteak. It was a solid offering as well. I find Penn Station is hard to beat for a cheesesteak, but this was definitely competitive. The best way I could describe it, was a less salty and greasy version of Penn Station with better bread. Overall, this place was great and I would definitely recommend people check it out. Had been by it many times and wanted to try it. Went there for dinner last night before a meeting. When I arrived I was the only customer there, just me and one person working there. Got the medium meatball sub and some chips. The tomato/marinara sauce for the meatballs seemed like it was burned. It was not good. The meatballs and the bread themselves were good but the sandwich wasn't because of the sauce. I don't know if that's the way they make it or what but it's wasn't good to me. Might enjoy trying something else from the menu but would never have the meatball again. Two stars for good bread, meatballs and good service. read more

I really enjoy a good sub, so I was pumped to give this place a shot! The atmosphere was fantastic. From the floors, light fixtures, bathroom, and booths, it felt like I went back in time. The music playing helped with the vibe, and the employees were helpful with my questions as this was my first time here. I ordered the "Cowboy" which is BBQ chicken, bacon, and cheese on a warmed choice of bread. The sandwich was hearty and required two hands to eat. This was the first time I've had to put my phone down in order to eat a sub! The reason for my two star review is based on a couple of things. First, the food wasn't the highest quality in my opinion. The bacon was mostly fat, and chewy, which made for an undesirable texture. This may be a personal preference, but it was pretty off putting to me. The chicken was diced, and wasn't served hot enough for me. Between the less than hot chicken, and the fatty bacon, the sandwich just didn't cut it. Secondly, the prices seemed a little steep as well. My sub and chips alone was close to $11. I really liked the atmosphere and the staff, so I will give this place another shot. Next time I will try a cold cut sub, and in the meantime, Jersey Mike's will remain my go-to. read more

I have come here about four or five times now that it has opened near me. First time I came during weekday lunch. I thought I was in trouble but they were actually pretty quick for all the business they were doing. Other times I will go around 11;30 or 1:30 to miss the rush, Much better!! We came to this Blue Ash location with much excitement, and were happy to find that the quality (of the bread in particular) is consistent with the original. Definitely one of the better sub places -- filling, fresh, not greasy, and friendly service. Notes: - Get the "everything" bread. - Get their oil & seasoning. - A small should be plenty for most people (about 8", stuffed). I usually order chips and a drink too, and end up having to take half my sandwich home. - You wait in line until a sandwich-maker is free and signals you over. From there things proceed like most other sub places -- though if you get a hot sandwich, you may take a number and have it brought to your table. read more

I picked up lunch from DiBella's today. Good sandwich! Granted, I got the build your own - Turkey and Corned Beef on the plain roll. The bread is execellent - not to crusty on the outside and tender on the inside. Not dry through and through like some other sub places. They give you a good portion of meat for this sandwich. I love this place, but I made a huge mistake when I went there the first time- I ordered a medium sub. It was huge..... 12" maybe, but divided out, two of the best sandwiches I've had in my entire life. I had the meatball sub on an "Everything" bun...and it was tremendous. The atmosphere is great here- a nice blend of an old fashioned sandwich shop where everything is new. It'll cost you anywhere from $9-13 for lunch, so not a place I'll be going to all the time, but definitely as often as I can. read more

DiBella's Subs catered for my granddaughters baby shower. It was a hit with everyone. The food was perfect and everyone loved it. I would recommend them to everyone. I ordered the DiBella's cheesesteak, and thought it was mediocre. The flavors were bland and the sub did not have enough melted cheese, although admittedly the sub roll was above average. Their sandwich making process also seemed inefficient or understaffed. When we arrived at lunchtime the line was almost out the door and moved very slowly. read more

We do a lot of traveling for competitive soccer. When we travel, we love to eat local. So we decided to try DiBellas and OMG were we surprised with how delicious the food was. They weren't skimpy on the meats, used REAL bacon, not the floppy, microwaveable bacon most places use. I'm really sad we don't have a DiBellas closer to home. But we will be eating at a DiBellas any time we are near one now! read more

I can eat my fill but the large Godfather from here is two meals for me. My girlfriend was amazed at the size of the thing and her small veggie was a sheer delight. The menu isn't overwhelming and varied enough to keep you coming back. Take home a menu and just imagine the possibilities. If someplace else has any fresher bread or veggies it's a secret to me and I've been to a bunch of places. Don't forget a potato salad as a side very nice. I have to say in the number of times I've been there the staff has been downright cheerful even if some were still learning the ropes. They really smile. I think the big difference is I didn't feel quizzed on what I wanted on my order. These folks know there stuff and it shows. Clean place lots of seating and comfy restrooms (sort of a thing with me). I was very disappointed. I walked in and at the time was the only one in line. There were a lot of people behind the counter just standing around. The sign said, "wait here for next sandwich maker." I did just that. They stood around and talked. Finally I got a nod. I ordered a chicken Philly on sesame and got a Buffalo chicken, not on sesame. I ordered a soft drink to go and the syrup was running out. I had to wait to pay, again while people were standing around. Finally someone said, what do you need. This is a real bummer to rate these guys so low, so understanding why I am is the most important part of this review. Simply put, customer service. Making a sandwich is sort of the very first building block. On Friday, October 25th, I gladly took 2 coworkers to DiBella's so that they could experience the great offerings that DiBella's has (that's right ... they do). I ordered a meatball sandwich and they were out of meatballs (at 12:05pm ... lunch time). They assured me they could have it ready in 5 minutes. After waiting 20+ minutes, I was apologized to and they offered to make my sandwich right away (what were you waiting on?). I filed a complaint with the corporate offices, but I haven't heard anything, nothing. All I received on Friday was a hunger for what I ordered and my money back (which was no easy thing). I hope that their service improves and that this was a mere oversight due to the fact that they are busy with being new, but here's a hint, that's when you make it or break it. They have a great product, but I wouldn't leave the line, or pay for a sandwich until you actually have it in your hand. That way if it happens to you, it will go a lot smoother. read more

Went in yesterday and there was one customer in front of me. One employee was making the sandwiches for the customer while one stood next to him and "helped". After a minute I said; "Excuse me." The employee watching the other make the sandwich said; "Be with you in a minute." So as I was waiting another employee was roaming around with earbuds in his ear. I left because I couldn't wait any longer. Now I stood in line at 5:12. and left at 5:26. I've been in this place a couple times and it's just a cluster f@#$. From ordering to getting your food, a complete mess. Also the employees have zero energy and enthusiasm. I will not return. read more

Perfect crust on the bread through to the fresh ingredients perfectly orchestrated to the point where I can't finish my review until I finish this delight. Ok, so I'm pretty peticular about my sub places. I want the option of a hot sandwich and the turkey they use must NOT be slimy. I've been so disappointed by a few of my regular sandwich places so I had almost given up on getting a decent sandwich that didn't cost an arm and leg. Well, the good news is I found DiBella's Subs and it did NOT disappoint. I had the "Cowboy" sub on wheat. It was grilled white meat with bacon and choice of cheese (I had provolone) This sandwich comes with BBQ sauce and they do not skimp on the sauce. On my next visit, I will opt for no BBQ sauce. The counter girl let me select the topping I wanted on my sub. I chose roasted red peppers, lettuce and tomato. Great sandwich. Lots of meat and the bread (choice of sesame, "everything" white or wheat) is made at the location. It wasn't fluffy, no substance bread. It was hearty, chewy bread that complimented the toppings. My husband and I had iced tea, a bag of chips, a side of pasta salad and the medium "Cowboy" and the total came to just a little over $11! We were both full and vowed to return again for a different sandwich. They also have potato salad, macaroni salad, chocolate chip cookies and pickles to add if you want something besides chips (a lot of sandwich places only offer chips and this option keeps me from visiting sandwich shops more frequently). Excellent subs I would describe them as a cross between Jimmy Johns and Jersey Mikes meaning really good bread and fresh meats. If you haven't tried it I would definitely recommend that you do. The one thing that I have not been able to find in Cincinnati is a really good Italian sub and I think that I may have found my new favorite here at DiBella's. read more

I'm a sucker for sandwich shops and Dibella's is one of my favorites, one of the top reasons is their bread. They offer an everything sub....think everything bagel, but sub sized! My favorite is the Buffalo Chicken on an everything sub. Definitely not a sandwich you want to eat on a first date! Their portions are large and they have awesome cookies. Evening patrons will enjoy a quieter restaurant as this location serves a large lunch crowd. read more

I am always looking for a good sandwich, and I was intrigued by DiBella's, a standalone sub shop on its own corner of busy Reed Hartman in Blue Ash. I ordered a medium ($6.99) Godfather on plain bread to go. What I noticed first was the amount of meat they put on the sandwich. DiBella's kills the other sub shops when it comes to the amount of meat, and I don't think it is even close. When I entered a little before noon, there was a long line, but they had plenty of help behind the counter making sandwiches so I did not have to wait very long. I took my sandwich classic style (cold), so I did not have to wait as long as some people. The sandwich was really good, and if I had a very small complaint it was that the bread is not as soft as I like it. That said, I will go again. You get a great sandwich and a good value for your money. read more

I know it's a chain and I know it's cool to hate on chains, but GOOD GOD DIBELLA's IS AMAZING. I am positively addicted to the 'everything' bread Godfather served hot with very little but cheese and pickles on it. Know what? It's also good cold. KNOW WHAT ELSE? It's also good as a salad HOT or COLD. And don't get me started on their cookies - easily my favorite part of every visit. I grew up eating Dibella's in Rochester NY so I have a weak spot for them. This location has been pretty good every time I've stopped in. Every time I have gone its been at off hours, so its never been busy. They always have made my subs quickly, even hot ones. I love the cheese steaks and the roast beef subs. If you are a meat eater like me, then you will love Dibella's. They put way more meat on their subs then any other sub shop. Also If you haven't been here before, you have to try the everything bread and their sub oil dressing, They are both what help make Dibella's the best subs..I will admit that it is a little pricier then some other places, but I believe you pay for quality, and here you get quality and quantity. I was originally going to rate it a 4 stars because they only serve bag of chips (vs real fries) but the service was sooo AMAZING despite it being lunch time that it deserves a 5 star.
