This place has amazing chicken salad - great sandwiches. Plus, they are so welcoming and friendly every time I've visited.

Chicken salad sandwich on toasted wheat.

It's stops like this one here that I need to thank my fellow yp'ers! I was immediately offered a sample of the chicken salad. Nice touch! I started with a tomato bisque soup which was by far the best I've had! In addition to the depth of flavor it was served hot! The potato salad was creamy and a very nice mix without any one ingredient including the potato itself to dominate this side dish. Well done! The toasted wheat chucked salad sandwich was outstanding! This alone make the trip worthwhile. It s served with a healthy slice of pickle which was slightly sour, just how it should be. A six star stop! First time ever for 6 stars for me. In addition a friendly staff paying attention to my out of state licenses plates and then starting a conversation about my home state.

I was in the area and stopped by to grab a sandwich. Amazing service, super cute atmosphere and OMG the Reuben is lights out amazing!!!! I wish I had taken a better photo, but I ended up shoveling it into my mouth in the car vs waiting until I got home. I would definitely drive here from Bellevue, KY again! Bravo!

    Lite Italian sandwich.

A big thing for me is friendly customer service, always makes the experience so much better! Found this place by accident but it was great! I got the lite Italian special and it was very good. My coworker got the chicken salad sandwich and said his was also very delicious. Give this place a try if you're in this area.

This is one of those moments where I am disappointed I cannot give a business six out of five stars. Chefs Café truly surpasses expectations and every way. The number one thing I have to call out first is the exemplary kindness and a attentiveness of the staff. They know all of their regulars by name and make a point to stop and have a conversation with them as they pop in and the owners walk around the dining room to chat with people . The line going was going out the door and down the sidewalk-- clearly a neighborhood favorite. After one bite of my turkey Ruben special, I can see why. The sandwich and side were the perfect size meal, and every bite was delicious. It's amazing that they make the majority of their products in house, and you can really taste the freshness. They are known for their famous chicken salad, and after sampling the buffalo chicken salad (the only other flavor they make), I can see why. I grabbed a half pound container to go. My husband got a regular Reuben sandwich. We both got a deli pickle and a mustard-based potato salad as our side. Dining room is spacious and decorated like a classic deli in every way. A highlight was the donation shelf in the corner where people can drop off school supplies and local teachers can pick things up for their classroom. If you are a deli fan, add Chef's Café to your list. If you're not a deli fan, add Chefs Café to your list. Just go.

I was Trying to buy some time and decided to stop by this place and grab a quick bite. I'm a big fan of any sort of salad -- egg salad chicken salad tuna salad etc. so you can guess my anticipation from the promise of world famous chicken salad. First walk into the shop I mistakenly went in the exit and a guy was still talking to one of the owners were holding the door and I had a kind of squeeze past which was my fault. But wasn't my fault is that they were very loudly talking about some thing and shitting on Joe Biden. My personal belief is Joe Biden is the only rational human being that has been or will be in the White House in recent times so I was a little perturbed by this notion. Politics aside I decided to try the world famous chicken salad on rye bread. The croissant looks awesome but it does cost $1.25 extra so I decided to abstain. They let you add anything you want on it and they will toast the bread for you if you like. I have to say I understand why it is world-famous... It's a funny claim but in all honesty one of the best chicken salad I've ever had in my life. Also came with a pickle spear and you got to choose a side... I got the potato salad as it was the most interesting option but still a little underwhelming. Not bad just not life-changing. John that the vibe inside was nice and family friendly like everyone knew the two owners who were readily there to help and were very nice. The female of the two seem to be wearing a pair of landscaping clear glasses upside down over her mouth as a mask? Not sure what to make of this.... also the interiorfeels a little picnic like an outdated. Not my personal preference by any means. Will I be going back next time I'm in the area to try the Reuben or another sandwich? Yes absolutely. Well I be prepared for a cultural experience. Yes absolutely.

I bet you didn't know that. Anyway, hidden behind a drab exterior is a beautiful restaurant with soothing decor and very comfortable seating. The booths are hung with rich curtains (tied back) and the atmosphere is so enchanting. Very much an exotic foreign feel. We tried numerous dishes: Manti were hearty dumplings which we very much enjoyed. The borscht soup was tangy and refreshing and just what I anticipated taste-wise though I never had borscht with meat before. Plov was really delectable, tender shredded meat over comforting, delicately seasoned rice. I loved the little hard boiled egg. For me the highlight was Kavuna Lagman. I'm a noodle person and this dish checked all the boxes, plus topped with thin strips of fried egg! Of everything we tried the only miss was the Shurpa soup, which contained huge chunks of pot roast style meat that was tough and chewy although the broth was delicious. We were the only non-Uzbek people in the restaurant (which started to get pretty busy on this early Sunday afternoon) other than one girl who came to pick up a takeaway order. But we felt so welcomed. The waiters were very kind and attentive. One of them was lacking in the English department but the other stepped in to help us with questions. We really enjoyed this dining experience and looking forward to more.

My husband was saying how much better it will be when we come back in the summer with the huge patio and all the garage doors open. I agreed, but I also think part of the reason we loved it so much was that even though it was a cold, gray February day, inside Parks and Rec had so much greenery and lots of windows so it felt summery inside! Our server was super friendly and went over the menu with us, telling us which items were most popular and which were his favorites. I got the peanut butter porter which was really good and hubby liked his s'mores stout as well. We split one of their huge pretzels which came with whole grain mustard and beer cheese...delish!!
