I ordered food from this place for the first time. Big mistake, too much salt in couple of the dishes, fish was overcooked, naan was way too chewy, and food was cold. I called to complain and the only answer i got was manager is not here today. My advise is there are a lot of other cheaper Indian restaurant near by go there, don't waste your money here like i did. Very disappointed, i have to find another place to order dinner. read more

This place is conveniently close to us which makes it very easy to have our cravings of Indian food satisfied. We used to order just the samosas as a snack and were certainly convinced when one guy came in and had ordered 75! Tonight we decided to order butter chicken (there is chicken haha just covered by sauce), pulao, baingan bhartha, samosas, and naan. They threw in a little salad as well. The total for us came to $40 and we had enough for our lunch which is a steal in my opinion! I feel that these are fair portions and prices and we were pleased with our meal. There is also a smaller booth section for dining in but I feel like many of their customers do a lot of takeout but the option is there for you to choose. They do have an assortment of sweets and treats as pictured, and we haven't tried those yet so if you have any recommendations please let me know. read more

Grab a seat. This is gonna be a long one. Our friend's birthday was today. We heard good things about the D Spot so we figured we'd give it a try. We entered the restaurant with high expectations, the menu looked delicious, the atmosphere looked fun with sweets and treats amongst the walls. There were only a couple other families seated at the time, and 2 other cars in the parking lot, but the restaurant just opened 10 minutes ago so that seemed reasonable. We were starving and ready to eat! We were seated promptly with a smile, and brought waters. Great! After 30 minutes of browsing the menu we were ready to order. Since we were sat 30 minutes prior we have yet to see a server. Unsure of how to order we walked to the front to see if we order at the register, or at the table. We were told they typically order at the table, so we returned to our seat and waited patiently. A couple minutes later the kind server took our orders, we ordered 4 latte drinks, and 4 sweet breakfast dishes. We were all excited to eat! About 45 minutes after ordering, we have yet to receive our drinks. Our waters were empty and we have yet to be checked up on. Typically we expect drinks to be served promptly to tide the customer over while waiting for food. This did not happen. 1 hour after ordering (keep in mind there are only 2 other tables in the restaurant) we finally got our dishes. We were immediately underwhelmed. The pancakes were thin and lacked flavour, the apples appears to be frozen and microwaved, giving them a slimy unappealing appearance. The "Waffle done right" looked great in appearance and the fruit appeared fresh, however the first bite was cold and disappointing. This is a waffle done right? The drinks finally came 90min since ordering. They were slightly warmer than room temperature and considering we waited over an hour to get them, an enormous disappointment. While the drinks were served, the server asked how the food was. Our table looked amongst ourselves awkwardly. Trying to not offend we softly said "a little cold". The server said nothing and returned to the front in a hurry. We finished the majority of our meals, mostly due to the price of the food, less due to enjoyment. We asked for the bill, wishing to forget the entire experience and move on with our day. The server tried her best to resolve our poor experience, asking how our experience was and what she could improve on. We told her it was not her fault as she appeared to be the only staff member on at the time (True!) She then asked if we would like an item off the menu on the house to make up for our experience. We appreciated the sentiment, and the birthday girl quickly browsed the menu and asked for a slice of tiramisu cheesecake. It looked like it might not disappoint. A couple minutes passed. Given the previous wait time, and not wanting to wait around, we started to put on our jackets and grab our bags. As we were beginning to stand up, our server came to the table and asked us to take a seat as our tirimisu slice was nearly ready. We begrudgingly took a seat with our jackets on and bags in hand. To our surprise, happy birthday began to play over the overhead speakers, and the server began to walk down the aisle with cake and a lit sparkler. It was a pleasant gesture and there was an obvious attempt to make things right with the customer. But it was too late, our experience was horrible and we felt it warranted this lengthy review. We left the restaurant and will not be back. I want to make it very clear that we do not place any blame on our server. She was the only worker on the premise for the first hour we were there. I'm not sure who manages the staffing here, but it is clearly not enough! Also, waiting over an hour and a half for our drinks? That is simply unacceptable. TLDR; Don't be fooled by the appealing atmosphere, and the pictures on the menu. The food is cold, waited 90 minutes for drinks, pancakes are bland and appear to be microwaved. Had to ask twice on price... each time a different price and still was an extra $5 at the end when I placed an order for samosas and pakoras. If it wasn't for the 0.50 cent samosas I won't be back for anything else.... Edit: order was wrong for samosas.... 10 short from the order I paid for. Called restaurant and told them I needed it for a party. And informed them on the over charge of pakoras. They apologized and gave me 20 samosas and refunded me the extra $5. read more

We have ordered take out of Samosas and Pakoras from Diamond Sweets and really enjoyed them! The Samosa have a delicious pastry and perfectly seasoned filling...have only tried the Vegetarian ones! The Pakoras and Chutney were a big hit as well! The prices are reasonable and the quantities were quite large! They are my go to place for samosas! Will be grabbing some on Saturday for my daughter's birthday party! Yum yum! I haven't dined in or had any of their entrées...looking forward to trying more of their good food! read more

Stumbled upon this little hidden gem (to us anyway) while out for an early morning run.. came back later that day and figured we should sample a few menu items to Gauge the quality etc... ordered the veggie pakoras, some veg and meat samosas, roti, naan, tandoori chicken, goat curry, chana masala. Super friendly, warm and genuine people behind the counter and in the kitchen.. really great gentlemen came out and apologized that it was taking longer then HE thought it should as they were swamped with takeout orders ( I was waiting maybe 4 minutes at this point....NO BIG DEAL ). Maybe a minute or two later our order was ready to go... same gentleman came out and said he added extra pakora and 2 extra samosas.. which wasn't needed but very very nice of him to do. My wife and I were BLOWN AWAY... we've eaten lots of Indian food around the globe and locally... All the dishes we tried were ON POINT.. the dishes we asked to be VERY spicy were perfect and still balanced.. pakoras were light, crisp and super flavorful, nit greasy or doughy at all.. the Samosas were Stellar.. crisp bubbly wrapper that was NOT Greasy at all, veg filled were sublime the potatoes still had the slightest bite so it didn't feel like a mashed potato ball and flavored wonderfully. The beef ones were just as good, lots of filling for each type.. and wife and I nearly came to fists over the last one left.....;) Roti and naan were great, not greasy nor dry just perfect... tandoori chicken was really moist and reminded us of eating tandoori in London.. Goat curry was fiery as requested but still had the most wonderful balance of ginger and spices nit to mention some serious amount of boneless goat, which was a welcome treat, last place we tried the goat curry was just a bowl of bones... this was excellent here... Chana masala was perfect, the chick peas were still tender and not mush and the curry sauce was absolutely creamy and tomato ginger forward... Everything that we didn't eat that day was still fantastic the next day when wrapped up in some of the extra roti and rice and made into an Indian burrito.. We've since ordered nearly weekly from this place and have never once had any issues... Awesome meal would have given 5 stars if the tandoori chicken wasn't a little dry, garlic naan was awesome the chicken korma was awesome with breast meat inside of thigh, the aloo gobi was delicious and the Chana masala was so good also the Indian sweets were very fresh! I order from here pretty regularly and I don't think we have ever been disappointed. The portions are huge for the price meaning you can feed a lot of people on a small budget here, they're consistently fast with their prep times and the food is always fresh and piping hot. Their veggie pakora and samosas are some of the best I've tried, not greasy but crispy and light, a big difference Compared to a lot of other places around. Definitely worth a try! read more

During these times of the pandemic, we were impressed with the cleanliness of this restaurant. Have dined here and ordered take out numerous times. Always good. Four of us visited on Tuesday January 19th. 2021. Unfortunately two of us who enjoyed their goat curry had upset stomachs the next day. Called them the next day, "Sonny" who claimed to be the owner did not seem too bothered and said he would speak o the cook!! Not just the best Indian food I have had. Some of the best food I have had, full stop. Sure service was a bit slow and it's not going to wow you with location or decor but if you know that going in, just be patient and get ready for some of the most delicious food around. We had: Butter chicken Garlic naan Palak paneer Dal turks Lamb curry Pulao rice Every dish was flavoursome and had a depth of flavour and spice that I appreciated consciously with every bite. Very nice lunch specials Instead of a buffet, they offer a thali which is where you select 2 entrees. I picked the non-vegetarian thali. You get a choice of a meat entree (choose from three) and a vegetable entree.(any on menu I think). I picked goat curry and palak paneer. There is also a vegetarian thali for $1 less and a fish/seafood one for more. They come with salad, a small amount of something with corn, naan bread, rice and a galub jamun ball for desert. Good food at a good price. Not too much (or unlimited) which can encourage me to overeat. I recommend it and this place. read more

I got fish tandoori and malai kofta for takeout. I don't know what kind of fish it was but it was overcooked, seemed to be poor quality and it tasted terrible. Six dry pieces on iceberg lettuce. I threw the whole thing out after a couple bites. The malai kofta was decent. Rice is extra, $2.99 but it's a very large serving. The naan was actually really good! But I was really disappointed about the fish, especially for $10.99! That's how much I'd pay for a seafood appy in a decent restaurant and the quality and presentation would be better! Come on now. Had a terrible experience last night. Would not recommend as a sit-down. Maybe as a take out place. My husband I arrived, the place was empty. A family came in after us, ordered after us, but had all of their food way before ours... My husbands food arrived 10 minutes before mine... Without cutlery or rice. Mine arrived, missing the side dish, and with the rice. We had to flag down a server and approach the counter multiple times to request the missing items.
