Had SUCH a great experience. I stopped going here a few years ago because they had a hard time honoring appointments and I felt like the quality just wasn't good. Well, I was out with my daughters and decided let's just hop in and get quick Mani Pedis - SO IMPRESSED. We had two lovely technicians, Emma and Simone who were so professional, kind, and great at what they do. And as we interacted with many of the technicians over and over, they were so nice. It really seems like there really aren't any decent nail salons around me in Spring Hill. So sad because there are so many places. The guy who did my pedicure was rough, didn't speak until he saw me texting on my phone and I told my mom I was looking at Yelp. He tapped my foot when he wanted me to put it in and out of the water and seemed agitated when I didn't know what his form of communication meant. He would take my foot and bend it back when he wanted my heel, and not very nice about it. He would jerk my foot around and plant my whole foot down on his towel, I was dumbfounded. I opted for the $60 Bubble Spa and he said "Bubble?" Like it's either new or no one ever gets it. The only great thing about it was the scent. I couldn't tell you much more because he barely spent any time with the massage. I think he spent maybe a total of 20 minutes on my feet and legs from the start to finish. I used to get 10 minute massages per leg alone at a place I went in another state. You can't find that around here. For $75 total (gel), I would've expected more. I understand everyone has their bad days, but I don't like to feel like a victim when I am out to try to take a day to relax for myself and feel more stressed when I leave. I usually see Amanda... she is amazing!! She is communicative and thorough. She does a consistently great job. Any time I cant get an appointment with her; they (especially the men) rush and apply regular polish that is either too thick and old or too thinned out. Amanda listens to what you ask for and advises you honestly on what is best for your nails without just trying to upsell you! This picture is NOT Amanda's work... but this is what you end up when she is not the one who does your manicure. So, I let her drag me into this typically female, unknown to male world... The first few times took place at other Spas. After those visits, I was still not 100% convinced. But once we found Diamond Nails & Spa, I'm hooked! These folks are always super cheerful and friendly. And they seem to love me and put up with my jokes! They never know if when I'm walking in, the door just might 'hit' me in the nose. Or, when I first stick my feet into the hot swirling water I may holler as if it's too hot! I love messing with people and especially ones who'll mess right back! We ALWAYS have a great time! On our last visit, Ginny got stuck with me, er, I mean, she graciously took me as her next client..we started cutting up and having a great time. Next thing you know the whole place is having fun. It's great to make folks laugh. Even my Fab One, seated next to me with her feet in the stirrups(LOL) was having a blast! (But then she's used to me!). Picked out 55.00 dollar pedi turned out paying 70 total for gel then tipped 10 only cause service for that price took a little scrub and lotion less then 30 d seconds on warm rocks. When the lady before me was so mad because her cuticles were bleeding I should've taken that as a sign and run away. Oh man what a terrible job! It was the end of the day and I was just getting a fill. The guy doing my nails told me he didn't care how he did on my nails because it was the end of the day and he just wanted to go home, unfortunately we were 2/3 of the way into it and I really didn't have any choices. The acrylic was so bad, over my cuticles, bumpy and the nails were so thick. My husband said, "What happened?" Do not go to this place. They don't care if they do a good job or not. Very clean and we were able to walk right in and my daughter and I sat down immediately, but my daughter and my toes were already chipped by day 2 after my pedicure! My pedicures usually last at least 4 weeks but 2 days tells me they're not using quality paint. Won't be back. read more

I should start by saying photos don't even do these nails justice. I was running errands around town and decided last minute I wanted to get an acrylic set and a pedicure I walked in and they had the time to take me. Everyone in this establishment was incredibly pleasant and friendly. The lady who did my pedicure did a fantastic job and was super sweet and complimented me the whole time. And the gentleman who did my nails did a fantastic job shape color cost, and all I would highly recommend this nail salon out of all of the ones in the cortez area. They seem to really care about their customer relations and in addition to that I had asked and they autoclave their tools, I am a tattoo artist and recognize the autoclave to be a high sterilization machine to ensure cleanliness! Went here today despite the negative reviews. I thought this place was fine. They have separation protocols installed and all of the workers were mostly wearing masks. I had a pedicure which was ok and what I mean by ok is that she didn't really massage my feet or legs but instead kinda pushed on my shins and rolled my ankles around. I prefer where they spend the time and massage your feet and lower legs. Plus there were several times it hurt when she was trimming cuticles. Other than that the finished product was great I just wish I had actually received a massage. There are quite a few workers there so maybe that's just how she does it. Now my fill was excellent! I head another customer ask for a pink and white ombré fill so I asked her what that was. I told the guy that that was what I wanted too. The guy, who sat at first station on right as you walk in, was so meticulous yet that did not slow him down plus he had a great personality, giving me a bad time for not knowing what a pink and white ombré is. I enjoyed my time with him. BTW, there are a number of pedicures you can choose from but I choose the basic as I don't like the hot stones, though she did say "you have dry skin, you should do the 'most expensive one.'" I have been going here for three years now and I always leave happy. Owners, Lena and Andy run a friendly, professional nail salon and spa and the staff are wonderful! If u love nail art like I do, then Lena & Dana are the top go to ladies! And I must mention Cardin, Dana's husband, he likes to be included in his wife's praises, lol! He does wonderful work as well, and I must say, the actual work on acrylic nails is top notch! He's very personable and loves to flirt with the ladies, all in good fun. They are such a cute couple! I have been spending time down in Boca Raton where my husband works the past 6 months or so, and I have been to THREE SALONS so far, and I end up with breaks and lifting nails, sometimes within the next day! And, no one does the nail art that I like; all they do are gluing gems or dipping nails in glitter powder. Not that I don't like gems and glitter myself, but to me, nail "art" is the ability to free hand nail designs as well. This was my first visit, I was a walk in on a Saturday afternoon, she took me almost immediately (but they do recommend appointments and I will do that in the future). Went here for the first time this morning because the reviews are better than anywhere else. Everyone was friendly and I like that the salon employees weren't talking amongst themselves in their native language making me feel like they were talking about me but this could have been because they were so busy. The salon is clean and inviting. Lily did my pedicure, manicure and waxed/threaded my eyebrows..... She is awesome!!!! My daughter had two different people do her pedicure and her full set of nails and said they were fine. But I don't understand how everything we got done adds up to over $230!!!!!!! Have returned several times seeking a refund and they not only refuse but also yell over the phone. Read my review from Oct 5, 2017. That same day they told me to come in on a Mon, Wed or Friday because only Lena can do the refunds. Ok, returned on Friday and she said that she had to talk to her boss. I left my phone number. By Friday 10/13, nobody had called so I called them back. Andy started yelling at me over the phone and refusing a refund. He offered to fix. The fix is pointless since I got my nails done for a wedding on 10/7, and the wedding has now passed. Yup, I had to attend the wedding with poorly done nails. Not to mention my pedicure started peeling that same day. ONLY 2 days after I got it done it started peeling. WTF! I went to get a powder dip on my nails last Sunday. Within 5 days my nails started to chip not just one 7 of them are chipped and look awful. I have been having this down for 2 years at other salons and never once have I ever had 1 nail chip. I had gone almost a year without getting acrylics and decided to get them done again, so I went back to my former nail place to get them done again. They used to do a good job for me, and I always got pink & white, but this time I wanted to get them a pointed oval shape and some nail art, but he was not up on the latest trends, and he did a crappy job on them. They were bumpy, too wide, and his polish was so old, he had to keep adding thinner to it, so they came out crappy. So after that bad experience, I decided to look for a new nail salon that was current with the newest nail trends. It took me a couple weeks, and I had been a month without a fill when I found Diamond Nail Salon on Yelp and they had a great amount of pics that my daughter and I had liked. She also had 3 weeks of growth, and square tips. We booked our appts and my daughter wanted to reshape her nails into the coffin shape and embellished nail art for her up coming 20th birthday and I wanted to give that to her. Amy did my nails and Lena did my daughters nails. What an excellent job on both of us!! We are absolutely thrilled with their work, with their customer service, and all around great salon! It's a clean and friendly salon. I told them that they just got 2 new customers and we will be spreading the word!! After almost 2 weeks, both of our nails are still flawless! I've gone to Diamonds 3 times. The 1st time the guy who did my nails said I talk too much, told me to shut up . He filled my nails ok but it failed after a week with their gel. The 2nd time I got a girl who did my toes perfect and lasted 2 weeks my nails had a new set with gel and was perfect. I came back a 3rd time and got the guy who told me to shut up. The 1st thing he did was yank my leggings above my knees. That was my first Yelp in pain. He managed to snap, pinch, and slap me and when I asked for a pretty shape to my long nails, he said I know what you want and he filed them short, made them thick like Chicklets gum, and they were short, ugly, red. He never filed right on my feet or hands, and I still have his ugly manicure and can't wait to go somewhere else. Then he said real loud, are you happy now? I stood there embarrassed and told the owner I'd never come in again if he was assigned to me. They are all laughing at me now so why should I bother. The owner didn't even apologize to me. I've. Gone to a Vietnamese shop for the last 22 years in Arizona, and I have never been treated badly. Everyone looks so unhappy when you go in this shop. I am not sure if I just had bad luck with the technician that I saw? The technician was very nice.I received a pedicure and manicure. The pedicure was fine. The gel manicure was not. I had to ask them to file my nails evenly as they were all uneven after the initial filing of my nails, they happily obliged, which was nice. Although, the end product I was very upset with. My cuticles were painted on (and not removed), there are air bubbles in almost every nail, they missed the sides of my nails, and the coats on the nails were uneven. My brother and I went to get our nails done here since my normal place was closed that day. Him and I waited a while to be called back. I sat down with a lady (can't remember the name), who was extremely rude and rushed through my manicure. When she used the electric drill thing on my nails, she did it so fast and hard that multiple times I yanked my hand back and said that it hurt, to which she continued to do the same stuff throughout the filing portion. When I told her I prefer shorter acrylics, she cut mine to the length she thought was okay, not what I wanted (too short). My nails came out uneven and the thicknesses were all different. I checked on my brother who felt the same way, he loved how his turned out but said the other salon workers were laughing, making side comments and calling him and her the entire time. It's 2020, there's no need for that anywhere! read more
