I used to come to this salon years ago and stopped because I followed one of their artists to another salon. The only reason I went back recently is because the artist I usually go to was booked that day, and i needed to get a pedicure for my bridal shower the next day. I got a basic gel pedicure and it was $50 which is kinda pricey considering what I usually pay for this service but whatever i needed to get my nails done. The very next day I noticed some of the paint on my big toe was completely chipped off so I contacted the salon and they had me come in so that they could fix it, but rather than completely removing the old paint and fixing it, they had painted over the chipped nail and it did look fine as i left but that very night it started to look goopy and kinda like it was melting off. The next morning I woke up to the same chipped looking nail. I don't think returning a second time to have them "fix" the issue is going to result in anything so to say the least I definitely will not be returning....I can't believe I paid $50 for this, I'm very disappointed and highly do not recommend them. If I knew this was going to happen I would have rather just gotten regular polish and saved myself some money. I loved this salon and came here religiously pre-pandemic--once every 3 weeks I'd get a fill with Levi--who does great acrylics. Since they reopened--I've been here again, but each time I've come in I'm stuck with a female in the first row. The first full set I got, I lost 2 nails in the first week. I removed them and went in a couple of weeks later, same experience. Terrible lifting and nails falling off. I've been going regularly, but my most recent 2 experiences have been the worst. I showed up on a Friday without an appointment and their regular salon manager Kathy wasn't there--the person who's been doing my nails recently asked how she could help me. I said I needed a fill--she asked if I had an appointment and I said no. She just said "I don't have time" ...she wasn't nice... but ok, I'll call and get an appointment. She was busy. I scheduled an appointment and came in a few days later. I waited about 20 min after my appointment time to be sat. I sat down with her and she remembered how I wanted my nails done--she asked me to verify and went to work. Once she had my acrylics filed all the way down --she asked if she could do them differently to save her time. I said no--I wanted simple coffin nails with white acrylic tips & she had already started. She then told me she needed to leave to go pick up her daughter from school. I asked why, if she knew she needed to pick up her daughter and didn't have time to do my nails, would she even start? I felt kind of trapped to have her do my nails in gel instead of French tip acrylic. You could tell she was irritated with me and did my nails as fast as possible without saying another word. Guess what? 3 days later another acrylic popped off. This place used to be great, but I won't be back. read more

The customer service was good but my nail tech didn't do the best job. I got pink French tips. He missed a lot of areas and it wasn't as sharp and defined as I would have liked. When we started, he pointed out that my nails were short, I told him that I bite my nails in my sleep and when I do grow them out they are very thin and weak. Knowing this I think he should have been more careful with the filing drill maybe with a slowing speed? It was so hot...I also had a cut on the side of my finger and when he squeezed my finger, I jumped. I don't blame him for that since I forgot to tell him but I did tell him after that one time about the cut and that he could just leave that side of my finger alone. Even though I said to leave it alone, he kept squeezing my skin down and touching it...then then tried to file that side. I tried to bare with it, but it hurt so bad and I told him again that it is okay for him to not file it. Of course I know it will not be perfect if he doesn't file that side but I was ok with that. Instead of leaving it alone, he said "it's okay, file just a little bit". I was a little upset that he said that. I understand that you want it to look nice, but I clearly said that it is okay and jumped at the pain earlier so he should have just left it alone. At the end, I still tipped him because I know this type of work is time consuming and tedious. I will still be coming back next time but will request another nail tech. I believe that they have good reviews for a reason and maybe this time I was just unlucky. read more

Went two days ago to get my nails done. Suong Lin did my nails. Cut me three times and didn't care. Also didn't paint the sides. Last time I was there they used cold rocks for pedicure and rushed through it. Just terrible. Place needs to be reported too. Her tools were in a container that said the tools were used. The staff here is so incredibly rude. When I came in I noticed the sign said only cash or debit which I didn't have either. I asked if they took Apple Pay or any other form of payment before I started services I wanted to make sure I could pay. The man said yes we take Apple Pay... perfect. Basically I got a pedicure last week by a young lady I don't know her name she did a nice job except for on my big she kept picking at my I guess cuticles or whatever an it was really hurting fast forward to now Saturday days later my entire toe is completely swollen with green puss oozing out the day after my pedicure my toe started to feel numb but I figured that was just because it was sore but now I can barely feel it and that's a problem. The lady that did my nails was new and from out of the state and she was a sweetheart and gave me the best nail service of my life. Her name is Leanne. It was her first day working there and she did a marvelous job. The lady before me was very satisfied with her nails as well. Leanne told me i was very brave walking into a new salon and to get an acyclic gel set fill. i was so lucky & blessed that I got my nails done by her. I showed her a picture of the type of nails I wanted and she put her own flavor on it and it came out perfect. When nails were done with excellent care. Went in and Informed the male nail tech I was seeking a tech that would use clean, sterilized tools and brand new packaging in my nails. As they should for every client. Tech did exactly that. Unfortunately the other male tech that did my pedicure did everything amazing except for painting my nails. It didn't say anything g as my toes don't see the light as much. However when my sister went in for acrylic nails , she came out with nails with different shapes. I'm not sure who did them but they need to pay attention to details. Yes it can be fast money and more customers means more $$$ but the attention to detail bring the customers back not so much the waiting or pricing. I will say, the girl who did my nails was very sweet and but I could not tell if she was licensed to do nails based on how she was doing my nails. She also seemed very young and communicating what I wanted was difficult (I had to get someone to translate) she tried putting my hand in the machine that cures gel for every finger. I told her no, I wanted her to create the white French tip on all five fingers and then would put my hand inside. That's too much exposure so that's why I'm inclined to say she was inexperienced. The work was great, it's just the way she was applying the coats of the base gel and pink clear coat, I knew my nails would lift soon. And they did (the white is also chipping, my guess is the gel coat wasn't distributed properly) almost two days later. We were asked to leave cash only and use only debit card but they still charged us a $1 fee to use the debit card. Again very sweet girl, but it is preferred to work with a professional for what we paid. read more

Showed me all of the colors they actually had and when I picked a few colors out that THEY showed me, they also didn't have it. My husband and I went here for the first time a few weeks ago for pedicures. The place was consistently busy. Plenty of chairs for both pedicures and other nail services. Our technicians were friendly, not much interaction, but that was just us. We were talking most amongst ourselves. We got basic pedicures and it was the best one I've had in years!! She could've scrubbed my feet a little more. Then again I should've have asked. I am more than sure she would have had I said something. Also, a hot stone massage was included in our pedicures. My pedicure was great ... took 2 1/2 hours but won't complain. The guy that was working did not listen to my request when asking him to soak off my nails and not try to pull them off. They were Gel-X and not acrylic but he did not listen (gel x is a full plastic tip that needs to be soaked) even as after telling him my finger beds were burning due to him trying to pull the nails off AND file them he still did as he pleased now my nails are more damaged than they were . I always get French tip on my toes and have never had to pay $25 extra just for the French tip. This is as my first time at this place and will be my last. read more

I have a few bones to pick, but let me start with the positive. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted with a friendly face. The pedicure experience was great, though I wish the water was hot and not lukewarm. The wan that did my pedicure was very kind and took her time and I appreciated that! I was very happy with my pedicure and I noticed that the tools for the pedicure were not in sterilized wrapping. Onto the negative... my acrylics experience was not terrible; however I was disappointed and a little grossed out and here is why: The woman pulled out a blue transparent box that said "SOILED" and used those tools on me and she used used nail files on me as well! Files are not expensive to replace... I will be closely looking at my nails for the next few days to see if anything happens-- hopefully not. I was also disappointed in the fact that I have glue all under my nails on my cuticles, making them look dry and cracked. There are also some parts that show my nail underneath. I had called something out to my nail tech and she got really offended and I decided not to say anything more. Now that I see all of this, I definitely should have said more, regardless... I was mostly disappointed and I may return a long time from now, but I will never forget the lack of sterilization. read more

My hands and feet were treated very poorly when I got my nails done. The nail stylist named WENDY did the work on my nails. She was not only very rude, but she also talked back to me as if I did something wrong when she is the one doing my nails. Her nail job was very poor, she was pulling my hands and feet very forcefully as if I was some sort of ragdoll, and proceeded to add so much pressure on my real nails with the nail filer that it burned me several times. I did tell her that she was hurting me and she proceeded to add pressure on the nail filer that not only burned my Hands but also my toes. Her work was so bad that not even 24 hours have passed after my nail session was completed and my nails were already chipping. Her mother named NACY was the one who fix my broken nail and the bad work that her daughter left me. while NACY was fixing my damaged nails, WENDY started talking to her mother in their own language (which I have nothing against, however) once's their conversation was over, her mother proceeded to put more force on my fingers leaving me nail marks on my skin as if Mama got upset with what her baby had to say to her leaving me with her nails marks on my skin. I could be assuming to much but what would you think in this sort of situation? Mama was just trying to protect her baby? I was looking for a place to get my nails done along with my sister and mom. I went in for a full set, my mother for a pedi, my sister for a full set and pedi. We had made an appointment the previous day. Upon arriving at the salon I must say I was impressed by the lovely exterior. What I liked most was that they have a sterilizing machine. So, out of assumption I thought they were a pretty clean place. That is until I got my nails done. I was called up first to get my full set. During the session, I was cut 3 times. My nails are subpar at best. What struck me the most was that she was using tools that were dirty. I was afraid of contracting a infection. It's been about 10 hours since I got my nails done and my nail bed is burning. I was about half ways done when they started my mothers pedicure. I wouldn't mind a little wait, but they had made her wait 20+ minutes. Mind you, we made appointments the previous day. As an avid yelp user, I've see this salon was one of the highest rated in our area so I decided to try it out. I was charged $40 for something I'm not quite happy with. The hour and a half I was there I did not see one technician walk to the autoclaves to retrieve clean tools or put used ones in to get sterilized. So I assume the autoclave is just for show. All I'm saying is, don't let the reviews fool you. This place is subpar to other salons in modesto for a high price. I believe you're only paying for the lovely exterior. I hate to leave such a negative review as I think they have talent but with the amount of people they have they're just working quickly to get to the next client. As you can see in the photos, my nails were supposed to be "coffin" shaped but came out a round square shape if that even makes sense. There was no attention to detail. Over the years the quality of service has definitely changed I got my nails done on Monday and by Friday I had 4 broken nails and they were lifting. I spent $133 including my feet for it not too even last. In addition to that the person that did my nails I don't know if she was new or what but she hurt me several times with the drill thing as well as clipped my skin when cutting my nails. She was also extremely distracted by her phone. I had an appt at noon and did not leave until after 4pm for as long as it took you would think I could get at least a week out of them. I recently moved here to Modesto. My girls and I go for our routine pedicures. We needed to find a new salon. We walked in this salon and immediately felt unwelcome. The salon had this awkward silence. The girl at the front desk told us she couldn't do our pedicures due to a long wait. The lady didn't even try to work us on the schedule. Her unwelcoming attitude made us feel like she didn't want our service. I'm glad we didn't get service from them. I'd rather go to a more welcoming salon with better customer service.
