Amazing job, extremely reasonable pricing, completely satisfied. Friendly staff, and great follow up.

We highly recommend Diamond Jim's! I always feel spoiled here! We are long time Phoenix residents who have been customers of Diamond Jim's over the last 15 years. We had them adjust our wedding rings at year 25, sold old jewelry we found in our drawers, and have had them repair various items. The staff is professional, honest, and quick with their work. I have received an education on jewelry, metals, and stones from Jim. It's a pleasure to recommend them for any need you may have. read more

"Free pair of diamond earrings just for showing up to the 10 year celebration" is what I heard on KMLE radio station. My husband went to pick them up for me because seriously? Free diamond earrings. Okay awesome. He gets there and he feels in order to get them he has to purchase. He felt it was a scam to get people there. Which hearing it from him and how it happened I agree. So he buys my Christmas gift there so I can have the free earrings. Afterwards tells me he will never shop there again because he can get better quality jewelry at Jared. Which since I haven't seen the gift, I can't agree yet. So the fact that he had to buy something just to get it and doesn't even like the quality of the product is sad. I should've never sent him because the "diamond earrings" are a JOKE. I don't even think there is a diamond in them. If there is the size is .00000000001. IF THAT. I will NEVER shop there just from his perspective. read more

Diamond Jim's - Jewelry Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

I bought my fiancé's engagement ring here. They had a beautiful selection but didn't have exactly what I was looking for so they helped me design the perfect ring and special order it. The staff is always friendly and helpful each time I've been there. I love finding a great local business I can trust and give my business to! read more

I searched on Yelp for somewhere to take my two silver candelabras, flatware, silver tray and misc. silver and gold jewelry. Diamond Jim's got good reviews so I hopped in the car and took a chance. Jim looked at the items carefully and professionally. I was content with his check for $237. Now I can buy the new printer, fax, copier, scanner machine I've needed for months. If you have jewelry you no longer want or need, I highly recommend you visit Jim. read more

Scary. This place is pushy and held my wedding ring hostage for many days longer than the original quote. I needed to get my wedding ring fixed because it split where it was sized to my finger (it's a family heirloom). They somehow talked me into getting the credit card for the free appraisal but I asked specifically to put a cap on the amount which was I was told I could do and then they ran it for the max amount anyway. After calling and calling and hearing "who are you, we'll have to call you back" multiple times with no helpful communication, I took things into my own hands. I showed up and said, "I want my ring back, I don't care if it's done or not". There are piles of paperwork just sitting all over this place, I don't know how they keep anything straight or confidentiality. They rustled around in some paperwork on different sides of the store before exclaiming "here it is! Just came in this morning!". Really?!? This was almost 2 weeks after they said it would be completed. Then they had the audacity to try to sell me insurance after me saying no multiple times. Scary place if you are taking a piece of jewelry you really care about. read more

I'm so happy with all my things from here! Everyone is so helpful & nice. I highly recommend Diamond Jim's!!

Outstanding experience at Diamond Jim's Today. Very professional and honest. My antique sterling silver flatware service sets were not full sets but there were many pieces and all in great condition. They were very fair with me and I would recommend them to anyone looking to get a fair market value for your Sterling. Hope to do business again with this outfit. They also have a wonderful store and on-line business. Take a look and stop by if you are in the area. Thank you Diamond Jim's. Best Wishes. - Michael Twomey read more

These people are snobs, I took a friend there to try to sell some vintage costume jewelry, and this man took a look at a few item and told her all she had was yardsale junk. Very BAD customer service read more

Diamond Jim is an exceptional jeweler and human being! It was a happy accident when I stumbled upon his store earlier this year. Since then, we have bought my wedding band, his wedding band, custom designed his in fact!, and am getting engravings on my DOH (dude of honor)'s gift. I cannot express how highly I recommend Diamond Jim and his store to you! All the staff is very friendly and they take their time educating and assisting you until you are fully satisfied. read more

Diamond Jims is a great spot! Lots of fun finds and great prices. It is family run and I've done well selling there as well!

This guy will rip you off. Brought an old, broken gold and diamond necklace in to see what it was worth or what it would cost to fix. He offered $300 to buy it and said it would cost $150 to fix. He was completely condescending and rude the entire time. Took it down the street to an estate jeweler who offered $500 to buy it and said they could fix it for $50. read more

It was my first time step into a jewelry buyer store, and it was pretty bad experience. First of all, I have to say that I have no experience in the jewelry trade before, so I didn't know about the price difference in the market price and the price that a gold buyer can offer. So, I was a little surprised when hearing that my 800 dollar ruby ring only worth $75 dollar for trade... and also several other pieces of jewelries...very surprisingly low price that young guy in the store evaluated. Ok, these are fine... but what angered me is that: The young guy was not respecting and impatient with my items: he kind of thought they are "cheap", so when he weighted the jewelry, he almost "threw" the bracelet and ring onto the plate!!! I was really nervous when hearing the jewelry dropped onto the metal plate. My bracelet was very delicate made, with gold. Second, when the first time he evaluated my ruby ring, he said it was lab made... Hey, The little cloud in the stone can be seen even with my naked eye! Then he came to the back of the store and asked a jewelry-smith to see the ring, and the jewelry-smith said it is nature.... well, he didn't apologize to me for that. So imagine, if he didn't ask the other, and wrongly evaluated the jewelry, what kind of result it would be like? I don't know who the person "Jim" is, that appeared in many posts here. But I can just say I am very uncomfortable with the young man. Yes, I am a foreigner, from Shanghai, China. I have been to many other states in the US, and many countries in the world, but have never be treated like that! I need an apology from the store. ps: I just read one of the filtered review for this store, from an Asian girl, she also had a bad experience in the store...well, maybe the owner just don't like Asians. read more

I don't have a need to go to this place much but each time I do it's a great experience. They've fixed my Nixon watch before. Today I thought the battery was dead. They worked on it while I waited. Turns out it's the mechanism. I'm going to contact Nixon but James did not charge me at all to look at it. My husband has purchased jewelry for me from them too. Great place, centrally located, good prices! read more

We came here about 2 months ago to sell a class ring. Jim is very fair and will not jip you. He gave us more than what we expected--and believe me, we did some research on different places before even coming here. Other places don't even compare. I highly recommend this place. read more

I have taken my used jewelry to other buyers before. My less-than-stellar experiences with the others left me a bit skeptical and very cautious in who I trust with my jewelry. One of "Jim's" competitors tried to tell me my white gold, diamond, and sapphire necklace was essentially worthless junk, and That I should take their $30 dollars, as that would be my best offer. It seemed some of their other Customers had come across their jewelry in less than honest manner, and they were reliant upon the customers willingness to accept next to nothing for their jewelry. I did not do business with them that day and I never will, but the experience left a bad taste in my mouth regarding jewelry resale. Diamond Jim rectified this, since the moment I walked in I was put at ease by their friendliness and professionalism. Jim's shop is on the small side, but it is CLEAN and space is well-utilized (i.e. Display cases weren't crammed full of unnecessary crap, this can be so overwhelming.) Staff members were openly talking to each other and customers, no hushed whispers to each other, or snobbish formality, which had always made me uncomfortable in other shops. Everyone warmly greeted my boyfriend and I, asked how I could be helped, and directed me to take a seat when I was ready. Marsha got us started while we waited for someone to appraise my piece. She is an absolute joy, knowledgeable on her product, the kind of person you feel like you've known a lifetime. She was just so patient with me, pulling out everything I asked without the least bit of frustration. (There were a lot!) She made some suggestions but never pressured me, answering every question I had. They have a huge selection at Diamond Jim's, there is something there for everyone. High-end pieces, turquoise and Native American jewelry, and excellent quality lower-end pieces. I fell in love with a vintage red ring, it was immediately polished on-site for me. They had such a great trade-in policy in place, I had to take advantage of it. The necklace I had mentioned before was appraised by the shop owner, Ron. He tested the gems and gave me a very fair price. In addition to the trade-in deal they offer, I couldn't have asked for anything more. He wrote a check right then and offered to cash it for me as well. They aren't looking to make the 300-400% retail mark-up I've found near-everywhere else I have gone. These are honest and up front people, their profit relying on their incredible customer service to create return customers. Ron's and the shop's "story" as a family owned and operated business certainly resonates with me, as the daughter of small-business owners, I love to see the "little guy" make it against the corporate giants. Diamond Jim's is not a some sleazy pawn shop for unsavory characters, and it's not a hoitty-toitty overpriced, stiffly formal national chain either. They are finally a jewelry shop where I feel I will be treated fairly and with good old-fashioned care and consideration as any business should operate. I've already sent someone over to them. The shop's atmosphere makes me feel like I'm visiting old friends, literally, such a hidden-gem. Stop in, you wont go anywhere else after working with Diamond Jim's. read more

I recently moved and while going through my stuff found some broken jewelry. I did a lot of research and found Diamond Jim's on Yelp. The moment I walked in I was greeted by great customer service and they even offered me and the other female customer a rose in honor of their Valentine sale. Then within moments I was getting my jewelry appraised. I've never sold jewelry or gold before and I appreciated that the appraiser did everything right in front of me in plain sight rather than taking my stuff to the back. I could watch how everything was tested and calculated. I feel I was offered a fair amount and I was even offered a higher instore credit for my items. I would highly recommend coming here if you have anything to sale or purchase. read more

So my husband and I need some extra cash for our upcoming road trip to Texas and I have the awesome idea to scale down my jewelry collection, get rid of crap I don't wear and maybe make some extra dough. After finding one gold ring and a few silver earring singles (where are their mates? who knows?), I head to Diamond Jim's. He was super friendly and explained each step of the buying process. My jewelry was examined right in front of me! I left with $70 and room in my jewelry box for more treasures:) I highly recommend Diamond Jim's to anyone wanted to sell unused jewelry or gold/silver scraps. read more

Jim is extremely helpful and wonderful; he doesn't jip you or low-ball you on any prices :) He is extremely reasonable and easy to work with. I took in two diamond rings to sell and quite honestly I was given more money back than I expected. Exceptional service and staff. I will be back to buy my next pavé ring (yes, I've already picked it out - and beware, it's so sparkly it will blind you if you look directly at it. Lol) read more

Superb service and wonderful staff with friendly banter. Exciting watch selections, great repair service and battery replacement too.

Been to diamond Jims twice now. I love this place. I sold some things and got done jewelry fixed. Thanks!

I took my mother there to pick up her rings which had been resized, cleaned and apprised. The staff was very good at talking to my 88 year old mother instead of me and that meant a lot. They were very very good to her. I appreciate that and am more apt to advise someone use them or use them for my own needs. Only real problem is the parking there is a g-golly seance to get in OR out of. It is a leap of faith for sure. Not this businesses fault but the result of hip and trendy hitting the area. read more

Outstanding Customer service!!!! If your a watch collector or want a great piece of jewelry for the Mrs. Come by and check this place out!!!

We came into Diamond Jim's to get my ring sized. Because of the value of my ring we're a little funny about leaving it anywhere. They were able to size the ring in less than an hour. The cost was a little more than we were expecting, but we paid the rush so we could do it then and wait. While we waited we talked diamonds and rings we plan to buy for our wedding. All of the staff is very nice and welcoming. We ended up getting insurance for my ring through the insurance they offer. You pay yearly and it's separate from your other insurance. Overall great experience. The interior is a little dated, but it sounds like they're re-vamping everything in the near future. read more

I wanted to sell my old wedding rings and a charm from a necklace I no longer wear. Jim was very polite and explained the how's and why's of our transaction and I felt he was being upfront and honest with me. The place is very clean and one garners a quiet and serene feeling, once inside. Both Jim and the young man working with him were very polite and friendly. I have to say, if I decide to sell any more of my fine jewelry, I will probably go back there. The only downside was the parking lot. Kind of tricky to maneuver when crowded, and not enough parking spaces. (I ended up parking in the rear of the building.) Other than that, a nice experience to be sure. read more

Great service and fast! James was very helpful diagnosing my Michael Kors watch. I needed to have the whole watch/gears opened up to replace the hand. Also, while I was in the store I wanted a new watch band. I prefer metal and he went through many catalogs to show me the band I wanted. They are very reasonable on prices and staff was very friendly! I would definitely recommend to a friend/family. read more

I am so happy to have found this company. Their customer services is excellent. I've had the pleasure of dealing with James...he is wonderful. Today I took less than a handful of broken gold necklaces, half a pair of several earings, small ring pieces & misc small items that I could not use...I was quite surprised at the amount they paid me. I have bought and had items fixed there too. I will now continue to go there for all our jewelry needs. They are a wonderful and honest company. Their prices are also reasonable plus you can lay away! read more

So I had some old gold sitting around the house and thought I would go see what it was worth. After reading other reviews and a client referral I thought I would check out Diamond Jim's. Jim was very nice and gave me a quote super fast for my gold free of charge. After testing the gold which he does in front of you, I left with over $800! I definitely felt like he was being honest and I never felt uncomfortable. All in all it was a good experience. read more

I went to Diamond Jim's based on the reviews here on Yelp and was not disappointed. I've gone twice in the last few months to sell some gold pieces that didn't fit, were broken or had missing matches. The first time the owner's son helped me and I ended up leaving with over $500 for what I thought was a small amount of mismatched pieces of gold! Last week I went back again with a couple rings and a thin chain and was helped by the owner, Jim. Left with almost $300. I went back because they are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and fair. You can sell gold anywhere but I know there are plenty of places that likely aren't paying as fair a price or are as honest as the people at Diamond Jim's. I haven't purchased anything there, but from what I've seen they have a lot of unique jewelry you wouldn't find at a chain jeweler. read more
