Thank you for the response. A few facts for anyone reading: The Rolex runs. I have since received a legitimate service quote of $1,500 by a specialist, but candidly could have sent it to WatchCheck. The GP at a hair more. You quoted $6,000 then offered $700 for both watches. You are now claiming $14,000-16,000 in restoration costs. Those numbers just are not accurate in any world... These watches are being serviced. They weren't beyond repair... they were beyond your interest in being honest. Vintage watch service specialists exist that are not predatory. This is not one of them. read more

Jessica was incredible. She helped us find the perfect ring for the groom and even kept the special engraving from his mom a secret. She made everything easy, answered every question, and her service was on a whole different level. She even shared a few helpful wedding tips. Highly recommend asking for Jessica. read more

I went here today to get two pieces of gold, a bracelet and ring appraised and to sell. This place tried to wack me and gave me a crackhead offer for my pieces. They offered me $175 for my 22k Jade bracelet and 22k ring for both. I went to Mo Money pawn and got $225 for my ring and $300 for my bracelet. These people will not give you an honest price for your pieces. Avoid selling here. read more

I needed to repair a gold necklace and I did not want to just do a walk in just to any place. This necklace is very sentimental to me. So I did a Google. I found this location great ratings. I was greeted with such kindness and felt very comfortable and as I state you get what you pay for and I know they're going to do an excellent job. I'm glad I found this location. I think I'll be doing some future shopping in this jewelry store :-) read more

I've been to the shop several times and every time they give me a rose, it's nice they make the ladies feel so special! The rose gives it a nice personal touch and makes them stand out from other jewelry stores. My husband bought my wedding ring from this shop, a gorgeous aquamarine gemstone, exactly what I wanted. We were also glad to support a local business. I've also had a couple watch links removed by the jeweler and they did a good job in about 5 minutes and it was only $10. This is a solid jewelry store and the workers are always very friendly and helpful! read more

I had a Cuban link chain from Macy's that broke at the clasp, and when I reached out to Macy's, they referred me to this little shop--and I'm so glad they did. I messaged them on Yelp and got a quick, friendly response. When I came in, I was literally in and out in under five minutes. The repair itself took about 30 seconds! Darren greeted me warmly, walked me through my options, gave me an accurate quote right away, and handled the repair on the spot. He was professional, polite, and clearly knew his stuff. What really stood out was how efficient and transparent the whole experience was--especially compared to other places that gave me the runaround or couldn't even quote the job. Everyone at the shop was kind and professional, and I genuinely look forward to bringing more business their way. Highly recommend! read more

Aside from the very friendly jeweler presenting me with a fresh, long-stem rose when I arrived and offering me a soda on a very hot summer day, this business offered information about some jewelry I was toting around. I'm not will-versed about identifying real gold from plated metal and they were able to help me out. I trust that they would not mislead me. Two brothers oversee the customer and I felt attended to and they gave undivided assistance while I was visiting. A pleasant experience for sure. The flower was a charming touch in a city that's become overwhelmingly impersonal in contrast to the way I remember it in the 1980s era. read more

I've been a customer of Diamond Jim's, in one form or another, for at least 20 years. In all that time, consulting, buying, selling, not once ever have I found fault with their business. Solid. Integrity. Without fault. No lies. Yesterday, I was by, had to replace a watch battery. Simple Timex watch battery. It was so much more expensive than previously, I became hesitant. So I called the first entry Google suggested: same battery was $5 MORE than Diamond Jim's. Love these guys. Love 'em! read more

I had a custom piece made and I couldn't be happier. Pete is a wealth of knowledge and a wonderful guy to work with. He was great at explaining the process, hit the target on delivery schedule, and really great at creating a presentation for the piece with just the right box. I recommend without hesitation. The fresh flower is a very nice touch too. If you want to create something life lasting and significant, work with these folks to capture your design in gold and diamonds. Went to get a watch battery for a 2 watches at this place i had a coupon . Needless to say they would only honor the coupon for one watch. Then tried to upsell me and was showing me expensive watches and rings . So high pressure do you think i would actually buy a ring if you wouldn't put a 5.00 battery in another watch. No thank s won't be going back there. read more

As a previous post stated the same.. I also was told my jewelry was junk yard crap. I was treated with such disdain and a lack of respect that I felt I must post. I rarely write reviews but could not resist to write one for these guys because they are simply phenomenal. Besides being extremely fun and pleasant to deal with, the people at Diamond Jim's are top-notch pros! My favorite Breitling watch that I have never took of my wrist for almost 20 years sustained some serious water damage. I was devastated as this watch has really become a part of me. Not only did they address the damage, lubricated, and resealed the watch, they literary restored a well-served for 20 years watch to a brand-new condition! They kept me informed about the progress by calling, texting, and sending the pictures of various stages of the whole process and they completed the work in less then a week. I was very impressed to say the least. Peter and Sarkis you are awesome!!! I am happy that I stopped by and let you work on my watch. If anyone is in need of a precious watch repair or on the market for some cool jewels, start with Diamond Jim's and you will not need to look any further. read more

What a great experience from beginning to end. Came here with my husband to purchase my 10 year diamond wedding ring. Marsha was fantastic and was very kind. We put the ring on layaway (which is extremely convenient and no interest) we just picked up my ring today and sat and chatted with Alissa and Jim (the owner) while it was being cleaned and boxed. Great customer service, conversation, clean jewelry store, and overall the best experience we've ever had shopping for jewelry. They are following all guidelines for covid and we felt very safe in there. Alissa was super helpful and pleasant to work with. My husband winded up purchasing a estate diamond ring for himself today. Great deals, superb service and we will be back to add to our diamond Jim's jewelry collection. read more

Wayne is the Goldsmith here at Diamond Jim's. He made a slider pendant fit on a gold necklace that my mother gifted to me. I had been told it was NOT POSSIBLE. Diamond Jim's - I LOVE IT!!! - Jewelry Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

This is my second time visiting Diamond Jim's jewelry store and the watch repair. I love supporting local business. Stop the car, honey. I used to live in this neighborhood and would drive-by all the time. What changed my mind to stop in is that I have inherited a bunch of older watches and I needed to know if they could work, be repaired, just needed batteries, what they're worth, etc. It's a small store and you have to be buzzed in. But their selection is great. While I was in there, somebody was getting their jewelry cleaned and inspected for insurance purposes. Another person was browsing. They have super friendly and very knowledgeable customer service representative's. They swiftly took my watches and told me to have a look around while they checked over my watches and replace the batteries that needed to be. One watch, I picked up at a flea market. It was cheap watch and more for sentimental value of why I was keeping it.? The jeweler said to repair it would cost as much buying a nice new watch. But they gave me the option if I did want it repaired. I declined. I love the selection . They have a lot of unique pieces and it doesn't feel cookie cutter like at some of the larger chain stores. I value their personal service and do not feel like they are trying to make a sale just because. Instead, go there to get educated about jewelry and find some nice pieces to give as a gift or to add to your own collection. Added bonus - they always have monthly drawings for different types of jewelry that includes that month's birthstone. They do offer layaway plans. Big extra bonus : They have some Insane sales right now as they are celebrating their 10th year anniversary and will be remodeling the store. Go in there now and you may find the most excellent watch or piece of jewelry gift this upcoming holiday season. I know I did. read more

I questioned what to expect from this store as a neighbor said I had to go there to get the batteries changed in my watches..so reasonable. She was exactly right..$5 to $8 for batteries. Seems everyone in my complex have gone there and have great things to say. The staff couldn't be more pleasant and helpful when you go in. This last time I went in to get three watch bands and two batteries. The only brown band they had for my every day self winding was $30 which is more than I usually spend for that watch. The other two bands were less for two Seikos I don't wear that often. The day after I picked up my watches a loop fell off my $30 band. I was a bit surprised but things happen, right? I am a person who rarely return anything but the next day. When I took it in, they could not have been more helpful, exchanged the band no questions asked. My Mother loved her diamonds and my father enjoyed buying them for her. I might have more knowledge in general of the way quality service should be when one is buying more expensive items. I had enough experience listening while I waited for my parents made their purchases. Also, I've spent time listening when my Mother had her jewelry fixed and cleaned. In this respect these people also get my stamp of approval. In closing, I will make one remark. In any jewelry store, the goal is to sell the merchandise. Unless one is ready to do some high end impulse buying, one should know their limits. No, thank you, is a perfectly acceptable answer. Keeps you out of trouble and makes browsing a delightful experience. They are moderate to high end. They also have more parking in the back of the building. read more

I came to get a battery put into a watch and was told it would be around 175 dollars. I thought i had heard wrong and gasped when he repeated that number. i told the jeweler that i had gotten the same battery replaced a few years ago, 3, by them and paid around 15 bucks. he said that couldn't be and i told him i must be in his records because i had gotten 3 or 4 watches done at the same time. he looked it up and sure enough i paid about what i said. He shook his head and mumbled something about before covid and I asked for my watch back at which point he told me to be careful who replaced my battery because it was a Cartier and I just left. The more I thought about it the more it annoyed me. i called back and spoke to the manager. he told me that yes the price i was quoted was in fact correct and that i had probably gotten charged incorrectly the first time and wasn't that lucky for me? Sigh... Here's the funny part... it was a FAKE Cartier! Sooo.... I basically got swindled and someone thought they could charge me exorbitantly for a BATTERY for a FAKE Cartier. I will never go back and I will continue to tell this story. I lost all respect for this business. Too bad... I ended up across the street and got charged the appropriate amount for a watch battery. I'm very disappointed in Diamond Jims. read more

My girlfriend sold some jewelry to this place back in 2012. She received a check for $200, but misplaced it before she could deposit it into her account. We were going through our files late last year, and found the check. My girlfriend tried to deposit it, but it was returned unpaid since the account it was drawn on had already been closed. I figured it was probably a lost cause, but I decided to drop a line to the business on Yelp to see if they would be willing to help. The initial response I got from "Diamond Jim" (the business owner, James K.) was prompt and promising. He asked for a copy of the check, and promised to look at their books from 2012 to straighten the matter out. I was surprised and pleased, and already writing a positive review of the business in my head. Unfortunately, things went downhill after that. After an initial back-and-forth making sure he had received the check images, the owner promised to contact me again after the new year. However, by March, I hadn't heard back. I sent a message asking about the status, and he immediately answered that someone must have fraudulently cashed our check back in 2012 and that their bank had "contacted the authorities". This doesn't add up, as the check never left our possession, and was never endorsed until 2016. This whole experience has left us confused. I think I understand the reluctance to make payment years after the fact, even though they did rightfully owe the money. But why even respond to my message initially if you were just going to give us the runaround in the end? The real lesson is to run to the bank with any checks you may receive from this business -- they'll only pretend to help if you happen to have any issues. read more

Diamond Jim's is the perfect jewelry store. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and accessible, and the quality of the merchandise is excellent. Whether you want to buy a piece of jewelry for $50 or $500 (and I've done both at Jim's), you will get the best value for the money you spend and the staff will listen to your needs and work to get you to find the perfect item within your budget. A good jeweler is like a good mechanic: once you find him, you won't trust going to anyone else. Jim is always gracious and friendly. He is supremely knowledgeable both about his inventory and the industry generally. When I have sold pieces to him, he has always given me the best price around, whether its gems, gold, or watches. Jim is always open to a conversation about price and will work with you to get to a place where everyone is happy. I most highly recommend Diamond Jim's. read more

Took my 20 year old Tag in to have it adjusted. In speaking to James he recommended I have it cleaned. Decided to do it and was amazed with the results, looks brand new. He went above and beyond the call of duty in making sure it fit perfectly as he had to adjust it 4 times. By far the best service from any jewelry store in Phoenix, went to 3 others that were not helpful at all until I ended up at a place that actually knows jewelry and watches. read more

I like this place a lot. I stopped in here with a watch that needed a battery, a ring that needed to be sized, a broken chain that was laying in the bottom of my jewelry box for years and a broken earring that was my favorite pair. The earring repair was around $25 and the watch battery $5. The owner Jim weighed and then bought the chain from me and I ended up paying him $2. He told me that they would buy silver as well as gold and he'll also sell items on Ebay. The ring sizing was $78 because it was so small and needed extra gold to make it the size I wanted. I decided not to have it done at that time. I drove up to Schmidts Jewelers on Glendale and 7th Street to see what they would charge to size the ring. They wanted over a hundred dollars. I went home and found another piece of jewelry I didn't care for and haven't worn in years and brought it back to Diamond Jim's. He told me the cash value was $180. Cool. I left my ring to be sized and he gave me $102. He has some pretty interesting one of a kind pieces in the cases including some nice amber jewelry as well as artwork. I ended up buying a small pair of sapphire and diamond chip earrings for $15. The only bad thing is the parking lot. It's tiny and it's shared with a very busy restaurant (Tex-Az). Don't go at lunchtime. read more

When I stopped in to browse on a whim I was pleasantly surprised by the prices on the resale jewelry. I spotted a ring I fell in love with, and then fell in love all over again with the price so I called my BF right away. I chose to use their layaway program. Jim and staff where knowledgeable and friendly. We even worked out a trade for our promise ring and reduced our final bill. I got way more diamond for my money than anywhere else and a huge box of chocolates with purchase (Perk) Every time we went to make a payment (or me to drool at my ring) there were new items. This place has lots of character and is not your big shiny stuffy chain store. If you are looking to get a good price on high quality resale jewelry, this is your place. They also make great offers on your existing jewelry. read more

I have visited this friendly little shop twice so far. First time was to have my ring polished and then again to have a battery replaced in my watch. Where do I start? I have little experience with selling gold or jewels, so I walked in blind based on the previous Yelp reviews... and I was not disappointed! Quiet shop, the employees I saw were all actually working, I was greeted immediately and assisted very quickly. James (heir to the Diamond Jim's dynasty, I presume) was thorough, kind, and more than tolerant of my questions. I left the establishment less than 30 minutes later, check in hand and smile on face. I doubt seriously I will go anywhere else in the Valley for my jewelry-selling needs in the future. As with all of my other reviews, don't listen to me - go find out for yourself. I don't think you'll regret it. read more

I am very pleased that I found a good place to sell the jewelry that I hadn't worn in years and I got a nice check to take home. I would definitely recommend them. I took in my engagement ring from my first marriage and got store credit. I used the credit to have them convert a rather large necklace with a lot of sentimental value to me, into a pendent and earrings. The workmanship was amazing and cost far less then I had expected. They took excellent care of a rather meaningful piece for me. They also fixed a ring for me and made it better. With my remaining store credit I was able to buy a lovely ring with a huge piece of amber in it and an amethyst ring, silver chain, and a gift for someone else. I went over my store credit but it was so worth it. The staff at Diamond Jim's are thoughtful and just lovely to work with. Skip the mall and go to Diamond Jim's. Went in a couple months back to try to sell some gold and diamond jewelry..no luck. The place looks like you're walking into an 80's pawn shop..very outdated. The young pretentious guy was long winded and tried to rob me, saying my diamonds weren't worth much, because of the cut. I will stick to Ebay to get more money for my jewelry.
