I had my aunt's ring, which was more sentimental than valuable, sitting in a box for years. It was old, looked like a diamond, and I brought it in thinking I might have it resized. I have used this small shop successfully for minor repairs under the past ownership, and I was impressed by the continued great customer service. I really appreciated the time they took. Unfortunately, when they examined my ring, they noticed the mounting had cracks which could lead to the diamond falling out. (They showed me). The repair would be expensive, but what shocked me was when I was told that a jeweler with different equipment might be able to laser-weld the repair for far less. This was not something I wanted to invest a lot of money in, and I really appreciated their helpfulness and giving me an option. Absolutely horrible jeweler!! I dropped off my paperclip necklace/chain to have a new jump ring sadered on the end and when I went in to pick it up it was given back to me in SEVERAL pieces. It looked like it had been stomped on!! I asked what happened and was told it was impossible to fix and "fell apart in his hands" even tho I had been wearing it for years. I said that this is unacceptable and the owner started yelling at me in front of other customers and told me to "get out of his store and never come back" several times over. I was appalled to say the least. He literally ruined an expensive necklace and had the nerve to be the one yelling and acting ignorant. What a deplorable human being. The owner is cheap and wormy. Me and a seller called and asked if he would verify the authenticity of a Rolex and the cost. Both ladies on the phone said yes and zero charge. Me and seller meet there and he charged $20. We said I thought it was free like you guys said and we drove here and you changed your mind? He said 'well it's a ROLEX so yes I charge for that'. Owner lost a lot of my potential business from that. The watch did end up needing a $500 service I would have done here if he wasn't so wormy. I've owned 3 businesses and would always stick by my word. But he needed the measly 20 bucks for lunch of something. Will never be going back soley on the fact of this. read more

Tried to give new owners a shot but Mark was rude unprofessional and after wasting 2 weeks with no communication whatsoever I ended up picking my ring up to have it repaired elsewhere. This was my first time here, and certainly will not be the last. I have ten watches and all have died since not going out during Covid and since getting an Apple Watch. Everyday I'd walk past my box of dead watches and think, ok it's time. I searched for nearby jewelers to take care of my batteries. I emailed a few jewelers and Hinrichsen was the first to reply and had the best prices. I'm a bit upset since I overpaid elsewhere, but glad I found them! $10 for most batteries, and $15 for lithium which is incredibly affordable. Finally came to give them a chance. I was quickly assisted and the owner I'm assuming said it'll just be a few minutes have a seat or get a coffee. I decided to have a seat in one of their lounge chairs since I already had enough coffee for the day, and he was done in 10-15 minutes! Incredible! I will definitely be back soon to get all my other watches fixed. Time to break out the Movado's and wear them out! read more

I just had the best experience here! I've been needing to get a battery changed in one of my watches for awhile now. I finally decided to stop by here since I had to pop into the Target next door. I was greeted immediately when I entered & my watch was taken to get a new battery immediately after that! I waited less than 5 minutes for it to be done & it only cost $10! I dropped off a pretty silver watch with decorative leaves between the watch and the bracelet. When l got it back, the leaves were crushed, and it looked like someone had stepped on it. The manager refused to take responsibility and said that it must have been like that when I dropped it off. This was not true, and I think the manager's approach was pretty low. read more

Beautiful work done here. I had my engagement ring resized here. Many people warned me about not resizing more than 1 size, but I was determined. My ring has 3 diamonds down each side of the band and a lot of hand done engraving. None of that was compromised, and the settings are untouched. Truly great quality work, and I am grateful they answered any all questions and concerns I had. We paid $60 to resize; not sure how that compares to other jewelers but I feel it was worth every penny! I will be a returning customer as long as I live in the valley! read more

I needed a necklace repaired and I admit it was a tiny link, fragile chain but I didn't look at the repair until I got home. The chain was put back together with a small O ring which shows up on my neck and is very obvious. They even fit in & provided a no-charge tightening to a gold necklace clasp brought in on 12/30 which was needed to be worn on 12/31. Other than purchasing two silver necklaces (good selection of link sizes & lengths), haven't bought any jewelry yet, but their selection looks ample and is nicely displayed. First of all, the customer service here is great! But the quality of service is very poor in my experience. I went and had my ring resized. When I got it back, there was a small diamond missing and they didn't put rhodium on it so my white gold ring was completely gold on the underside. I was having a difficult time with the fit of the ring, and realized they had resized it too small. So they were very nice and offered to redo everything free of charge, (except the rhodium), and they resized it correctly, but my ring is still gold despite the rhodium. So I'm taking it to another jeweler to fix what wasn't done correctly the first (or second) time. Again, the people that work here are very nice and accommodating! But I was very disappointed with how my $5000 ring turned out. read more

Wow to the umpteenth power and two thumbs up! Over twenty years ago my mom sent me a Mickey Mouse watch at the onset of my Peace Corps service in Paraguay. I could make my watch play the Mickey Mouse Club song whenever I felt a bout of homesickness. Needless to say, Mickey stopped singing a while ago. I replaced the battery once, but when the leather strap finally gave out, I relegated Mickey to my jewelry armoire. Gilayne (spelling?) was absolutely MARVELOUS. She helped me find an industrial strength band that was still quite lovely. She even offered to order one in the correct size and color when I found a "contender" band before selecting the perfect one! THEN they worked magic on my watch with a battery replacement. I had several pieces to repair and to turn into pendants. Keith (the owner and jeweler) did a wonderful job with all and I was pleasantly surprised at his affordable prices. The amazing thing is, one of the diamond rings that is very important to me lost a diamond after I got it back, and I was expecting to pay to have him replace it. He did not charge me. It takes a good businessman to realize that we are all human and things happen that are sometimes out of our control, and is happy to guarantee his work.
