I recently had my husband's wedding band resized by Douglas Diamonds, and we couldn't be happier with the results. The ring was sized down perfectly, and they recreated the original engraving so flawlessly that you would never know any work had been done. The job was completed on time, the pricing was reasonable, and everyone we worked with was pleasant, professional, and helpful throughout the process. It's clear they take pride in their craftsmanship and customer service. I highly recommend Douglas Diamonds for jewelry repairs and alterations. Their attention to detail and quality work exceeded our expectations. Many thanks to their skilled goldsmith read more

Over priced, really bad hours. Look if a "jeweler" is selling invicas watches you know they are not good. Their hold "buyback" is a joke and just a fraction of the true value. Do yourself a favor and find a different jeweler... this place has crashed out with the new owners. You also put the clasp on backwards. Attention to detail at this business is trash. read more

I had my aunt's ring, which was more sentimental than valuable, sitting in a box for years. It was old, looked like a diamond, and I brought it in thinking I might have it resized. I have used this small shop successfully for minor repairs under the past ownership, and I was impressed by the continued great customer service. I really appreciated the time they took. Unfortunately, when they examined my ring, they noticed the mounting had cracks which could lead to the diamond falling out. (They showed me). The repair would be expensive, but what shocked me was when I was told that a jeweler with different equipment might be able to laser-weld the repair for far less. This was not something I wanted to invest a lot of money in, and I really appreciated their helpfulness and giving me an option. That will be remembered when I have other needs, or someone is looking for a jeweler. read more

I was so excited to find that Biltmore jewelers have been taken over by Douglas diamonds! The service is just as good if not better. They continue to do all of the work in the store which I truly appreciate. Yelp tends to talk about it being more of a watch repair, which is not the truth. It is a very nicely run family jewelry business, and I can't recommend it more. read more

Absolutely horrible jeweler!! I dropped off my paperclip necklace/chain to have a new jump ring sadered on the end and when I went in to pick it up it was given back to me in SEVERAL pieces. It looked like it had been stomped on!! I asked what happened and was told it was impossible to fix and "fell apart in his hands" even tho I had been wearing it for years. I said that this is unacceptable and the owner started yelling at me in front of other customers and told me to "get out of his store and never come back" several times over. I was appalled to say the least. He literally ruined an expensive necklace and had the nerve to be the one yelling and acting ignorant. What a deplorable human being. It's now just scrap gold and I'm livid! I wish I could attach the picture of it here. read more

The owner is cheap and wormy. Me and a seller called and asked if he would verify the authenticity of a Rolex and the cost. Both ladies on the phone said yes and zero charge. Me and seller meet there and he charged $20. We said I thought it was free like you guys said and we drove here and you changed your mind? He said 'well it's a ROLEX so yes I charge for that'. Owner lost a lot of my potential business from that. The watch did end up needing a $500 service I would have done here if he wasn't so wormy. I've owned 3 businesses and would always stick by my word. But he needed the measly 20 bucks for lunch of something. Will never be going back soley on the fact of this. read more

Terrible customer service. Don't let the good reviews from previous owners fool you. Was a customer of previous owner Keith for 15 years. Never had an issue. Tried to give new owners a shot but Mark was rude unprofessional and after wasting 2 weeks with no communication whatsoever I ended up picking my ring up to have it repaired elsewhere. I recommend you take your money and business elsewhere. read more

Very friendly, knowledgeable about what was needed and timely. Definitely a customer oriented business.

The owner is so so so nice! He fixed two necklaces for me in very short amount of time! Thank you Hinrichsens Jewlers!!!

We love Keith...he did our engagement ring years ago and my wife often comes back for tuning up other jewelry (two rings I picked up today) plus a watch battery here and there. The value in his work is excellent. Love that his political values match ours! read more

Wow, what a hidden gem! The entire staff is so friendly and helpful. Such an inviting shop! Would definitely recommend!

This was my first time here, and certainly will not be the last. I have ten watches and all have died since not going out during Covid and since getting an Apple Watch. Everyday I'd walk past my box of dead watches and think, ok it's time. I searched for nearby jewelers to take care of my batteries. I emailed a few jewelers and Hinrichsen was the first to reply and had the best prices. I'm a bit upset since I overpaid elsewhere, but glad I found them! $10 for most batteries, and $15 for lithium which is incredibly affordable. Finally came to give them a chance. I was quickly assisted and the owner I'm assuming said it'll just be a few minutes have a seat or get a coffee. I decided to have a seat in one of their lounge chairs since I already had enough coffee for the day, and he was done in 10-15 minutes! Incredible! I will definitely be back soon to get all my other watches fixed. Time to break out the Movado's and wear them out! read more

I just had the best experience here! I've been needing to get a battery changed in one of my watches for awhile now. I finally decided to stop by here since I had to pop into the Target next door. I was greeted immediately when I entered & my watch was taken to get a new battery immediately after that! I waited less than 5 minutes for it to be done & it only cost $10! I thought I would have to drop my watch off & come pick it up another time. What an amazing surprise when I was in & out with a working watch, in just 5 minutes! Highly recommend this place! read more

Mom's watch needed a battery. I popped into Hinrichsen Jewelers on 7th Street / Bell Road (next to Super Target). New battery replacement in less than 5 minutes at a very reasonable price. Keith and Wanda are positively delightful. Thank you, Hinrichsen Jewelers for exceptional customer service! ~Steve Lyons read more

Great experience. I brought a new watch in to remove links and they did it right while I waited. Super friendly and don't overcharge for simple fixes/repairs. I'll be back! read more

Our family has been going to Hinrichsen Jewelers for over 20 years. Keith and his team are the most wonderful group of people to work with. Today I picked up a the most gorgeous ring I had fashioned from two family pieces and I couldn't be happier. Our son got his fiance's engagement Ring from Hinrichsens as well. If you are looking for a talented, caring and honest jeweler, go see Keith! read more

I dropped off a pretty silver watch with decorative leaves between the watch and the bracelet. When l got it back, the leaves were crushed, and it looked like someone had stepped on it. The manager refused to take responsibility and said that it must have been like that when I dropped it off. This was not true, and I think the manager's approach was pretty low. read more

Beautiful work done here. I had my engagement ring resized here. Many people warned me about not resizing more than 1 size, but I was determined. My ring has 3 diamonds down each side of the band and a lot of hand done engraving. None of that was compromised, and the settings are untouched. Truly great quality work, and I am grateful they answered any all questions and concerns I had. We paid $60 to resize; not sure how that compares to other jewelers but I feel it was worth every penny! I will be a returning customer as long as I live in the valley! read more

I brought in rings from 3 women who have passed in my family - my mother, grandmother and great aunt. Kieth designed the most beautiful ring incorporating stones from all 3. He worked closely with me on the design and I just about cried when I picked it up. Thank you for helping me keep these women close to me. read more

After reading all the good reviews, I thought I had found my jeweler. Wrong. I needed a necklace repaired and I admit it was a tiny link, fragile chain but I didn't look at the repair until I got home. The chain was put back together with a small O ring which shows up on my neck and is very obvious. If he couldn't have fixed it, I wish he would have told me upfront and I would have tried somewhere else. And top of that they charged me $30.00. I am upset and I won't go back. read more

I had an excellent experience working with Keith and highly recommend Hinrichsen Jewelers. Keith is such an awesome guy and a very talented jeweler! He built an engagement ring for me and took every detail into consideration. He provided me with a few stones to compare and choose from and provided excellent guidance with the setting. The ring turned out better than my fiancé and I could have imaged! read more

Lovely work resizing my husband's ring. They even cleaned my ring without cost when we went to pick his up.

Hinrichsen's is our go-to place for jewelry repair & watch batteries. Reasonably priced & timely completed. They even fit in & provided a no-charge tightening to a gold necklace clasp brought in on 12/30 which was needed to be worn on 12/31. Never expected no-charge, but that definitely builds customer loyalty. Other than purchasing two silver necklaces (good selection of link sizes & lengths), haven't bought any jewelry yet, but their selection looks ample and is nicely displayed. Always promptly greeted & made to feel welcome to browse without pressure to purchase. read more

Not very impressed with quality of jewelry repair. It was messy and not profesional. Watches had batteries replaced but was a bit expensive I thought. Customer service was fine. read more

It's good to support local businesses but even better when they provide great products and wonderful service. Purchased ring for wife they sized for free. I can highly recommend Hinrichsen Jewelers. I'm in there frequently due to my large watch collection and each time I'm in there for a watch bracelet sizing or battery replacement etc I'm met with friendly customer service and very high quality expertise from their horologist/Owner. It is rare these days to get such a qualified and experienced professional that actually takes the time to discuss his work. I simply will not go anywhere else even though it's a bit of a drive from my home. read more

I am SO upset at how taken advantage of we were! My husband and I know nothing about diamonds and we're so excited to find a jeweler that would help us create my dream ring. We stupidly told him our budget and he presented us with a few diamonds in "our price range". We just had the diamond appraised for insurance and it appraised at LESS THAN HALF of what we paid for it! I am so embarrassed. Do NOT use this jeweler. He will take full advantage of you. read more

Very helpful people. I needed a battery a repair and a watch band. They were VERY EASY TO WORK WITH.

I brought my engagement ring here today for resizing. I was weary about taking it elsewhere after reading reviews that it could take up to three weeks to be done-- and I couldn't bear to be that long without it! But the jeweler here took a look and offered to finish it within 1-2 days for me. They ended up calling me back the same afternoon to let me know the ring was done! He did an amazing job and I'd definitely return for any future jewelry repairs. read more

I have a couple of watches I only wear for nicer occasions, so I hadn't worn them during Covid, and discovered that the batteries had gone bad. Wow to the umpteenth power and two thumbs up! Over twenty years ago my mom sent me a Mickey Mouse watch at the onset of my Peace Corps service in Paraguay. I could make my watch play the Mickey Mouse Club song whenever I felt a bout of homesickness. Needless to say, Mickey stopped singing a while ago. I replaced the battery once, but when the leather strap finally gave out, I relegated Mickey to my jewelry armoire. With an upcoming trip to Disneyland planned, I dug my watch out from under other loved but unworn memorabilia. I sought Yelpers advice on a jewelry store to replace the battery and band. Gilayne (spelling?) was absolutely MARVELOUS. She helped me find an industrial strength band that was still quite lovely. She even offered to order one in the correct size and color when I found a "contender" band before selecting the perfect one! THEN they worked magic on my watch with a battery replacement. Mickey now sings and I am a very happy camper. Thanks ever so much! read more

Douglas Diamonds - Oh my gosh! Believe all the reviews! These folks are amazing! They brought new life to my cherished Mickey watch! - Jewelry Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Went in for a watch battery. They replaced while I waited, and it took maybe 5 minutes. Very good people, and nice store.

I agree whole-heartedly with the other 5 star comments! Within one visit I felt like I was back in my small hometown in Kansas. That is SO rare in the city. Keith is the best! I don't even look anywhere else for nice jewelry. If he doesn't have it, he has catalogs for you to look at. I'd rather wait on an order from him than get it that day from somewhere else. We got my engagement ring from Keith. I haven't seen another one like it. My fiancée is an engineer and he had to study everything for hours and asked no less than 50 questions. This Keith guy (the jeweler and owner) has the patience of a Saint! He took SO much time educating us on diamonds and gave us his opinion on what looked best in our setting. So friendly, so trustworthy, so experienced, so ready to do a great job at the lowest rate possible. What more could you ask for from a jeweler? I'd give this place 10 stars if that was an option. read more

Really nice gentleman that fixed my necklace. Reasonably priced and fast! I will be back if need anything in the future Thank you

I shopped around before I took my watches in for batteries and repair. I have an extensive watch collection and I wanted to ensure they would be taken care of. First, I called and they were the nicest people on the phone. Most other jewelers I called sounded as if they were rushed and didn't have time to answer my questions. They were patient and explained everything. I had to call back a second time, I forgot to ask a question. I arrived at the store and they were very attentive, listened to my request, as I had some repairs also. They gave me an AWESOME bulk rate for the amount of watches I took in for batteries and repair. They called one of the manufacturers for me, for a very unique watch/band combo and was able to get the information the next day. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HINRICHSEN for all of your jewelry/repair needs. I will be visiting them again soon. They have a great selection of jewelry in the store. I looked around a little while I was there. They are patient, listen, and follow through. I am very satisfied with the repairs and battery replacement. They are close to my home, saved me a trip to the mall. This is my new neighborhood jeweler. read more

I saw the reviews from Yelpers and figured this would be the best place to take care of resizing my Christmas gift, a watch. We went in and within 3-4 minutes he was done with the resize. Amazing job. At $14 for the resize, he was amazing. The jewelry there was gorgeous but my husband saw his dream watch. He is addicted to Suunto watches but he found a Citizen watch that we could not pass up. So in love with this place and I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs their jewelry needs taken care of. Professional and extremely helpful. read more
