He left the truck in worse shape than he found it (left the ignition molding off, lost the fuse removal tool, and damaged the electrical system such that it would no longer hold a fuse on one circuit). He then became irrate, demanding the full amount he would normally charge for a replacement key and stated a new key could not be made until the cigarette lighter was repaired. A second locksmith, highly regarded, as well as the Ford dealership, also said they could not program a new transponder key without fixing the lighter. However, the second locksmith who came out at least did not charge anything. The third locksmith who came out had my new transponder key programmed within 20 minutes WITHOUT the lighter being fixed - and at a fraction of the cost quoted to me by the first two locksmiths. Roy will be very friendly, and I'm sure if there are no complications he can get you into your vehicle fine. But his range of knowledge is limited, and he doesn't have a strong grasp on customer service when things become dicey. If you have a simple, clear cut situation, Roy might be able to help you. For advanced issues, skip this one and find someone who is more than a key cutter.

No problems and worked how it should in all locks on the car. Brought in the exact same blank bought from the exact same supplier bought at the exact same time and this go round it was messed up beyond all measure. A complete and total screw up. The keys look no where near the same and didn't work. Obvious from a mile away. Returned the next day and first thing out of their mouths were "We cannot guarantee keys bought from somewhere else will work and these keys are different." I assure you they are not they were exactly the same. I have a masters in sculpting and bachelors in painting and drawing. I know how to look at objects and manipulate them in space. And when they couldn't get them to work I was told, "You need to change all your locks and ignition switch replaced because it's an old car. And that's going to be expensive if you can find someone to do it'." I guess they thought I am some sort of idiot. Because the first part f this review paints a much different level of responsibility and craft. I did receive my $3 it cost to have the keys made out of the pocket of the original man who made the key and not from the guy throwing smoke in may face with the above comments. And I am out $20 for the cost of the car branded blank. And to add to that I brought in a small lock core to be keyed and was given back a super slender key and told this might break off and guess what? It did and it's still stuck in the lock. Seventeen more dollars of bad key making.
