I'm not sure why people are slamming this guy. He just left our house and did a great job on key…read morefob replacements for our cars. Both of our key fobs broke around the same time and he came to save the day. He was pleasant, respectful, priced fairly, and quick to get the job done right. He came after hours to accommodate our work schedules. I recommend him to anyone needing a key made or a key fob replaced. Full disclosure: We began talking to him (because he was very nice; kind soul.) He let us know that he had an incident at a school where he was called to replace a key. He's an honest guy and he didn't think anything of it because he had never been scammed before. Sure, he made a mistake in trusting that the person asking for the key to be made was the owner, after all, it was a high school student that likely looked that a grown man. I know my son began looking like a grown man at 14 years old. We all make mistakes, big and small. He's regretful of the situation and wish he would have known better. You can see it in his eyes and how he carries himself. How about these 1 star reviewers learn to allow for grace and mercy, for they are not perfect either. The person who scammed Edgar wasn't perfect either. If that kid wouldn't have been such a delinquent, maybe he wouldn't have conned an honest auto tech and stole the vehicle. Be mad at that kid, not Edgar. We wish nothing but he best for Edgar. He will continue to learn and grow while offering great customer service. He will continue to be human and make mistakes, but I am certain he won't remake the mistake he did at that school. Also, maybe he did say some things under duress when investigators and people are hounding him but I have to admit that if I were in position I would have done the same. He was being bashed and he was the one that got conned! We told him to ignore the haters and continue to be the good person we felt he is. Sometimes people stick up for the wrong people because they don't have the brain power to discern the full situation. Seems cut and dry to me. Anyway, give him a chance. Seriously, he's a good worker. Also, mean people suck. So be NICE!

SCAMMER ALWAYS WANT TO TURN IT INTO A ARGUMENT. WHEN I EXPLAINED THIS TO HIM IN A CALM PROFESSIONAL TONE... SCAMMERS HANG UP ON YOU. HE WILL FIND OUT SOON ENOUGH THAT HE SCAMMED THE WRONG PEOPLE. I WILL SEE THEM SOON. DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE COME TO YOUR HOUSE AND DO NOT LET YOUR KIDS CALL THESE PEOPLE. THEY ARE CRIMINIALS LOOKING TO RIP YOU OFF. I FOUND THIS SORRY JOKER ON YELP! HE WANTED TO ARGUE WHERE I STAYED PROFESSIONAL. HE TALKED SMART AND HUNG UP AND THEN CALLED BACK. OVER TALKED ME AND WOULD NOT LISTEN TO ANYTHING I HAD TO SAY. Bought a ignition and key at AutoZone in Alvarado Texas for 2007 Dodge Ram. Technician was present during installation and said the computer needed to be coded. Looked up a locksmith in yelp. Quotes $135 to come out now. Agreed. Then he call me back in ten minutes and said we have a problem. I need to charge you $25 more dollars. Why he said because it 45 minutes away. His guy showed up a 30-40 minutes later and said he has to charge me more. He double the price to one $320... stating 1st $380. Then he said the key from AutoZone is no good. I told him put it all back in the box and I will return it. He then stopped speaking English I told him I don't speak Spanish. He would only speak Spanish anyway. He went back to his truck too the AutoZone key and duplicated it to the lock I bought at AutoZone and added a fob to unlock the doors. Telling me he put a new ignition in. He said the Alarm ignition kill is on. I explained carefully that the alarm doesn't have ignition kill and that the truck would drive with the alarm sounding. Hounded me for pay. He said nothing after the not excepting my chase card. Insisted on cash app. He pretends to look for something in his truck put it in gear and spread away. No receipt no paperwork no words at all. I look in the truck and the ignition I bought was still in the truck installed. No new ignition no new key no code. Code is all I ask for for the initial $135 then asking me to pay for his gas $25 extra. Now I have 3 keys to the auto zone key with nothing that I ask for in any way. I gave him 30 dollars cash to make up the $320 assuming that he coded like I ask for ONLY. He guarantee him making his key and ignition would work. No ignition only a duplicate key was made leaving me with the EXACT same problem prior to his arrival. He was very rude and very unprofessional. Wearing sandals and constantly on the phone with some girl. Was in a rush the entire time. Witnesses that were out there claim that he appears to be scamming me and did not like his presence. After talking crap attempting to intimidate me...did not work.... twice he has said he was sending a tech out with NO Show. I ask for a code to be programed and a ignition to be installed from the criminals only to start what about to become a war from and people...i swear to god. Mr. Tough guy....!!! We will see. They got $320 OUT OF ME AND DID NEITHER. Pretended like he can no longer speak English. Don't leave your phone near them alone while they are in your car!

Technician/owner Roy was very friendly. However, when he attempted to program the new transponder…read morekey for my truck through the cigarette lighter (which does not work), he blew a fuse, tried to fix it, and caused more damage. He left the truck in worse shape than he found it (left the ignition molding off, lost the fuse removal tool, and damaged the electrical system such that it would no longer hold a fuse on one circuit). He then became irrate, demanding the full amount he would normally charge for a replacement key and stated a new key could not be made until the cigarette lighter was repaired. A second locksmith, highly regarded, as well as the Ford dealership, also said they could not program a new transponder key without fixing the lighter. However, the second locksmith who came out at least did not charge anything. The third locksmith who came out had my new transponder key programmed within 20 minutes WITHOUT the lighter being fixed - and at a fraction of the cost quoted to me by the first two locksmiths. Roy will be very friendly, and I'm sure if there are no complications he can get you into your vehicle fine. But his range of knowledge is limited, and he doesn't have a strong grasp on customer service when things become dicey. If you have a simple, clear cut situation, Roy might be able to help you. Once accepted they sent me a text with a link that sent me to a photo of driver and job details. Driver arrived and was done within 10 minutes. Everything seems to work properly including the emergency key. Very professional. I had someone else quote $50 another person $95 but they were for the most part unresponsive when scheduling. An actual locksmith brick-and-mortar wanted $200 and I think the dealer wanted about 175 to 200. For me not having to deal with the dealership or the other clowns I find the value for the cost acceptable.
