This was my first time at a Dewey's pizza. I just moved to the area a month ago. The pizza was very good. I want to talk about the service. I'm not sure if they are all this way, but the service here was absolutely phenomenal. I have been in hospitality 15 years and held every job in a restaurant from front to back of house. This Dewey's has gone down in quality considerably since they opened. The staff is mixed, some are incredibly friendly and helpful, and others seem bothered by requests. They hardly put any toppings on a salad, there were four grapes on my grape and candied walnut salad. The salads aren't cheap, and they put hardly any toppings and fill the dressing cup halfway. Other Dewey's locations are much stronger. read more

Dewey's is our favorite pizza in Cincy. We just tried their seasonal "Ballpark" pizza this evening. I have never had anything like it. Sauerkraut, mustard, sausage, horseradish, and onion. It was definitely the most unique pizza I've ever had. The flavors worked perfectly together. If you are looking for great pizza and salads, Dewey's is a must. read more

Dr. Dre pizza is a staple menu item in my home, however everything I've tried from here has been delicious, and the beer selection is always up to date and pairs well with the menu offerings. read more

Our visit last evening featured classic Dewey's pizza, the best in the city, and wonderful salads. Nice selection of beers including Madtree and Rheingeist. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Restaurant was somewhat noisy typical of a packed restaurant with quite a few kids. Still a good experience as there's nothing quite like Dewey's. Highly recommend! read more

Last evening, we had dinner at Deweys at UD. We have been eating there since they've opened, and last night was the only time the service was absolutely horrible. Food, as always, was stellar. We arrived, and I believe it was manager (since he wasn't dressed like the other employees) told us that we were going to have the best booth in the house. Mind you, comments like that are corny and a major turnoff for most people. Just seat us and take good care of us. We sat down and we're waited on promptly, and our drinks were delivered and we ordered a small white cut into strips to start. Our pizza was delivered, and the male who brought it out was about to walk away, and then asked would you like plates? We said yes... and silverware... and napkins... and ranch dressing. He brought everything out except the ranch, and then told him we would like to place the rest of our order since the initial female server was too busy studying at a nearby table and then at the bar with another employee to ever come back to us. We waited a bit, and the ranch never showed so my husband had to make the first trip to the bar to ask for ranch. Finally, we received that at our table. While we were waiting for our pizza entree to arrive, another female server came over and asked if we would like dessert?! We let her know that we haven't even had our meal yet. She said she was told to come over and ask us if we wanted dessert!?! Our pizza arrived and it was delicious. The entire time we were there, no one ever bothered to come over and ask us if we wanted refills or another beer. My glass was empty for about 15 minutes, and my husband made the second trip to the bar to ask for a refill of my pop. There were 4 employees chatting at the bar and none bothered to acknowledge him. He looked at me, steaming, and I told him to interrupt them. He did and asked for a refill, and the female (possibly assigned to the bar) told him he'll need to wait a minute... with an attitude. Mind you, my husband didn't tell me this part until after we left, otherwise, it would have been addressed by me, right then and there. She gave him the refill and apologized for her attitude.. too late, damage was done. He brought my drink back and like I mentioned before, not one time did anyone check on us or ask if we needed anything. Dinner was finished, and now we're waiting for our bill... never showed up so once again, we both got up and went to the bar to ask for our bill. A female and male server who were too busy chit chatting looked at us and we told them we wanted out bill. We paid, and my husband gave a $6.00 tip... why? I absolutely no idea. I hope that tip went straight to the kitchen because they were the only people who deserved it. Also, while we were there, the other booth in front of us was also having issues with their meal, and we watched another table receive the their entree salad before they had even received their drinks and silverware. Everyone working there last night should be fired except the kitchen staff. Management was extremely poor, or everyone needs retrained. The girl behind the bar does need fired for talking that way to a customer. This location needs to step it up, or you need to close and retrain everyone for a day or however long it needs to take... and have a manager there who is able to manage and get this location up to its previous great service. Otherwise, we'll go to the Austin Landing location or a different pizza place. read more

I gave Dewey's three chances to wow me and for whatever reason, I just wasn't wowed. Maybe it was the crust. I've moved on.

Dewey's is always consistently good. The salads are large and they don't skimp on the ingredients. The pizza are mouthwatering and you can tell they are made to order with care. Fresh ingredients and great service but a little disappointed in the Caprice pizza. I was expecting more of a Margarita pizza with fresh mozzarella - not shredded - and not quite so much of it. A little too much Fontina cheese as well. Light basil only in small strips and hothouse tomatoes. Not much taste to the garlic-oil base - recommend asking for a tomato sauce if you order the Caprice. read more

Was sooo excited to have Dewey's come to Anderson Township, but so far have been very disappointed. The first time there was no listed phone number to call in a carry out. Called the Oakley store but no one knew the number. So my husband went to the store and placed the order and it was complete chaos. Gave them another shot today and the pick up time for a carry out was an hour. Seems to be very poorly managed. read more

"The Goat"... Something of an unfortunate name for my new favorite Dewey's pizza. The goat cheese is super creamy but not overpowering. The sweet sun dried tomatoes offer that extra bit of pop you are looking for along with a perfect complement of mushroom. I was always a Bronx bomber guy... But the Goat is my new yum! read more

I tried carry out from Deweys last week, and it did not disappoint! I had one of my favorites, the Billy Goat! Their toppings were fresh, and their crust is the BEST! I like that you can do half and half pizzas in case you have individuals who want different toppings on their pizzas. Can't wait to actually dine in at this new location! read more

For what it is, it's very overpriced. It's just pizza, and you get more bread than substance. I can get a PIZZA HUT pizza for crying out loud, for 2/3 the cost and twice the topping density. The music was too loud too. read more

I love dewey's pizza and salads but I have a huge problem with this place. They have the window for you to watch them make the pizza so I get to see this happen every time. The guy making the crust has a bushy beard and is not wearing a beard guard or gloves. That grosses me out but then the people making your pizza with sauce and toppings are also not wearing gloves as they touch the toppings. I believe this is a board of health violation. Anytime you are working with serving food you should be wearing gloves. Also, I ask for my pizza to be lightly baked and yet every time it comes out over cooked. Maybe they could try flagging these pizzas so they no to take them out sooner. read more

I went to Dewey's last night to pick up a carry out order. When I arrived they had misplaced our order. The manager quickly acknowledged the error and promptly expedited our order. Even though they were obviously swamped the manager placed an emphasis on customer service and made sure that we were taken care of. All in all he made the best of a bad situation and I appreciated him going above and beyond. read more

Dewey's went over the top in customer service tonight. Our pizza was missing one minor topping and they comped our pizza and gave us a second pizza with the missing topping. I felt so bad and mentioned that to our server as I wasn't looking for a freebie. The pizza was great without the topping but she asked if everything came out ok. Absolutely love Deweys pizza. The crust is the best crust I've ever had. I'm all about the crust. I like to keep it simple and get cheese pizza with ricotta cheese on it. My husband likes any kind of funky pizza he can order. Luckily, we can get both on one pizza! It's amazing. The only reason that I gave four stars was because they need a TV over the bar. There is one TV behind the bar. It's not necessarily to sit there for hours, but it would definitely earn you five stars from more then just me. We were told by two different servers that several people complain about the lack of TV over the bar. Food is fabulous though!!! read more

Pizza is great but we didn't have a server for half the night. She never brought out our pizzas, which sat in the back of the restaurant apparently nor did she ever follow up with us after taking our order. Eventually I flagged down another waitress after waiting for almost an hour. She said they had been put in takeout boxes on accident and brought them to our table without an apology or offer to serve them in a plate. read more

My family loves Dewey's and were thrilled when one opened in Anderson. I ordered carry out tonight and arrived slightly after their designated pick-up time. Once there, I was told our (small) order wouldn't be ready for another 15 minutes because they were running behind (the restaurant was very busy!). I wasn't able to wait an additional 15 minutes so asked to cancel the order. The manager came and explained the situation and was extremely kind and understanding of my frustration. Her solution and positive attitude made the situation right. We'll be back! read more

Poor ownership ! We called and ordered two pizzas. The young lady on the phone said it would be around an hour for carry out. I asked my family if they wanted to wait and they all said sure. Then we headed up to pick up our pizzas a little bit after an hour had passed. Once we got there we were headed through the poorly thought out entrance like cattle, just to be told that it would be about another forty-five minutes to an hour longer. WHAT? I told the young man , who is the only reason they get one star at all , that I can't do that my kids are hungry and I have to get them something else. I'm sure people would rather be told carry out orders are not being taken right now due to volume of business than come up here in an hour and wait another hour . The owner has to know this occurred and should of had enough class to call and apologize to all the customers that had to cancel. Needless to say we will not be eating at this Dewey's. Hopefully, for those that do, they learn from this. read more
