I was a returning customer to Dewey pest control. We signed up one summer for a promotion. I then rehired this company recently and im told the rates went up, okay fine.. so they do 1 or 2 months service and i never hear from them i realize in july i havent seen them since may. I call them and they tell me somehow we got removed from their schedule. A glitch of some sort. I was then told they were coming out that week and i would still receive my scheduled visit in August, how ever its already September and what do you know... no Dewey.. im disappointed in this company and not to mention my bill i recieved is higher again. Im going to cancel as soon as posible. Hope i can find a more professional company. read more

I don't like door to door solicitors. I have a sign that says no NO SOLICITING. So when your door to door people not only disregard my sign, but run ACROSS MY LAWN to do so, it really ticks me off. I have Scott from Dewey come for a regular maintenance and I love not having to worry about spiders or ants, especially when I have 3 little one playing in the yard. Scott is always very nice, and kindly locks the gates when he is done with our service. This morning I had noticed a rodent in the house...ALIVE! I'm sure our wandering cat brought it home as a nice surprise for us. We were able to trap it in the bathroom and then called Dewey Pest Control. Within an hour Scott was there, caught the creature and took it to be released somewhere far from my house. They were so nice, and we all got a little laugh out of the whole ordeal. We started using Dewey Pest Control when we moved to Ripon in July 2015. We had previously used Clark Pest Control while living in Manteca and they were hit and miss to say the least. With Clark I would have a different technician every week. We have been fortunate to have Kristen service our home since the very beginning. She always calls a day before coming over and always goes the extra mile while servicing our home. My wife was so impressed with the job she did for us she bought Kristen a little Christmas present just to say thank you. Very incompetent company. When it comes to billing, forget it. Someone there needs to get fired. They won't charge you and then when you call them to pay, they accept your payment and then you get a bill in the mail? They forgot to service my house 2 times in 6 months. They just need to close. I just cancelled with them, paid my account up to date, requested a letter of cancellation and just got an invoice in the mail for some reason. Horrible. read more

Even the technician told me he would go to another company. If you see these sales people rolling around on their segways run in the house, lock the door and tell them to go away. I called Dewey and spoke to Paula. I told her about all the different bugs that "were" in and outside my home. She was very knowledgeable and advised me. I signed up for the bimonthly program and Brad was sent to my home. Brad came out and did more than I thought was included. I saw results that same day. The next day, they followed up with me. Brad , also, personally checked with me later in week and came back to do another spray. Thank you guys for making my home bug free. My kids are extremely happy that they could go outside to play without bugs crawling on them or mosquitoes flying around them. read more

I had reached out to my Home Warranty regarding an ant problem we were having. Within the same day I was contacted by Dewey Pest Control of Modesto, the person scheduling was very kind. Technician, John Shields came out and sprayed. Real nice guy. I couldn't get rid of the ants myself and feared they were in my wall. John was extremely informative of workings of ants. He shared with me that it would probably take five days for the treatment to work. On the fifth day I had still noticed some ants, so I called. No problems, at all. Total customer support. I have to say, the ants were gone on Saturday, Sunday and even so, John was at my door Monday morning with a smile on his face and Went The Extra Mile. Even though there weren't traces of ants, he sprayed everything and looks for colonies. He was the epitome of customer service. Never showed signs of a bad attitude, just willing to get to the bottom of the problem and most importantly make sure I was satisfied. I highly recommend this company and especially John Shields. do not sign any contract with this company, total ripoff, my wife was tricked to sign up for a year the sales person gave her 60.00 cash to sign up but never went over the contract with her, we called to explaine that we are on a tight budget , but they didn't care.now we are stuck with this dumb contract. I have to say that Brad helped me get rid of a flea infestation. He was knowledgeable and friendly and came within a reasonable time. Not only that, this company was the most reasonable cost when compared to other pest companies, especially when just needing a one-time flea service. Horrible company! The billing department is screwed up. The wont send you a bill then you get a bill months later and the next day saying they send you to collections! I am so frustrated. Also my husband signed us up for it and they put both of our names down on the bill so they sent both of us to collections! They charged way more than what the gentlemen that sold us the 6 month contract. It is a big mess to fix! Don't waste your time with them! read more
