So I decided to do a refinance on my home because I was struggling with some debt And anyone who has refinanced a home knows that time is essence well the last thing to come up was that I needed a pest inspection report and so I thought no problem. I'll get one the next day wrong I must've called 10 places and they all either did not call me back or said no because it was a refi and they didn't wanna waste there time coming out even though I was gonna pay the inspection price that they were asking so I continue to call and I did get a call back from only one of the 15 places I called locally. Melissa Machado, the administrative assistance there listen to my story said she can fit me in once she confirms with her owner operator Jerry, who is also the crew manager, so Jerry is a very busy man and yet like all company to say the customer is the reason out of the 15 places I called only step aside lives by that so important credo!!! Customer service and building customer relationships is so important. It's it's a lost treasure a big corporations these days but chivalry is not dead with Machado Jerry step aside scheduled. It was here on time found a couple issues. It was addressed taken care of report was in and my refi is on track. all those other so-called family owned businesses quit putting that in your slogan when you treat customers like big corporations treat us like a number and not like a person who needed something really bad and Melissa can hear that my Voice and went the extra mile , not because she had to because that's who they are they care. They connect and it feels good to be heard. I will only recommend this Pest inspection company to all my friends and acquaintances you need a reliable, trustworthy, caring and honest. Step Aside Pest Management has been our provider of pest control since October of 2014 and we have had nothing but excellent service. We had tried several other companies prior to Step Aside and none were satisfactory until we tried Step Aside. Mel has been the technician for all 6 years and has proven to be knowledgeable, considerate, on time and thorough in treating our property. Twice in 6 years there was a need for a return visit for treatment, once for ants and once for spiders. It was not due to poor treatment the first time around. Both times occurred in seasons that were particularly bad for those insects. There has never been an issue or a question regarding any requests we made for an interim/added treatment. Mel worked with me in looking for the source of the ant problem in order to eradicate the it. We appreciate the calls from the office personnel to alert us of the day and time of the expected treatment as it allows us to know when to keep our pets inside. Mel gives us the option to treat the inside of our home and garage if we so choose and it was necessary only once. The pricing of the program we have is affordable and competitive. read more

I have been a customer of Step Aside on and off (no fault of theirs) for over ten years. Each time I have reached out to Step Aside for service, they have been extremely helpful, going as far as driving out the day I call them to help with a problem. Mel is very kind, funny, and reliable. There was a little confusion over a Yelp voucher, and it was handled professionally. This company is trustworthy and dependable, so I highly recommend giving them a call whether you need emergency or regular service. Update: I have been a returning customer for a few months now, and moved shortly after signing a contract. My services transferred over seamlessly and even though our new home has different pest issues than the last, Step Aside has remained reliable, and has offered me peace of mind. I do not do well with intruders like insects or mice, so knowing a company that will address a problem quickly and offer solutions is so important. First I must say that the service tech (Mel Arnold) is always polite and professional. But when I continue to share that we're still seeing water beetles and ants, I'm not really interested in why there is an abundance of pests this year. I'm paying for a service so if you can't solve my problem then stop charging me $75 every two months. I can get mediocre/poor results anywhere. Having said all that, certainly the Administrative Assistant (Melissa) is unprofessional and shows that Step Aside has very low standards and expectations of the office staff. I've read other complaints about her, yet she is still there. I own two businesses and I'm not having some $15 an hour Admin Assistant respond back to me and my wife with condescending remarks and emails. I made a career as a Human Resources Director. She wouldn't have lasted 60 days under me. Buyer beware......you have been warned! read more

We have been using Step Aside Pest Management every other month for several years. We started using them when we had a terrible issue with ants. Occasionally, we still get a few but I call the office and Mel comes out and leaves a bait station. I hate spiders and luckily they never make their way inside! They also provide treatment to help control snails. The office staff always call to tell us when Mel will be here and if it isn't convenient they will happily reschedule.
