UPDATE 4/19/24: I thought maybe I was being too hard on my review.. until I read the other reviews. It's much classier and more professional to apologize instead of arguing. I can't ask my dad about the service at all because he died extremely unexpectedly two months ago. That's why I mentioned my mom. Seriously, I would rate zero stars if I could. The guys who come out and spray do an awesome job! They are all friendly and nice and I appreciate them so much. I will not be renewing our contract though, due the rude lady who answers the phone. EVERY SINGLE TIME I have called to ask a question, she is RUDE! I asked my mom (who also uses Gauden) and she said oh yeah the bitchy lady who answers the phone is always rude. Just an example: i called to make sure I had paid my last bill(you go online and pay it after service but it doesn't show if you have a balance). She said 'how would you not know if you paid your bill?' And I said I'm just calling to check. She then said that they send out an email confirmation every time, so I should check my email. Okay. I checked my email because I didn't recall seeing them and I saw I have two emails from the past 12 months... so that's not every time. I just don't understand why she couldn't just check instead of going around and around with me! She finally said she would have to call me back because she wasn't 'in the right system to check'. The guy who came out to our house was super nice. We had to reschedule due to a miscommunication with roommates. I asked if he could still spray outside, but not the inside because we didn't know we would have to leave and were not ready to be out of the house. He said he could but it would cost us extra for the extra trip so he didn't recommend it. The lady answering the phones was probably probably the rudest person I had ever spoken to in costumer service. I explained what happened and apologized and asked to make another appointment. We made it as far as selecting the day before she started huffing and puffing. I again apologized and told her the rest of the house was not aware of having to leave the house. We chose not to make another appointment. Took us 2 minutes to find a pest control with better ratings and nicer employees. read more

Oh yeah her name is Anita I hope that the not referenced "false statements" aren't what I said about the knowledge of the business and your great employees. If I had the ability to schedule day/ service we certainly wouldn't be in this predicament correct? I did not allow service twice, because you would not accommodate my change of service request I didn't get charged an early cancellation fee because you didn't provide the services that I paid for at the beginning of the contract and because you wouldn't let me schedule a time that worked for me, the for some companies the most important element THE CUSTOMER. The verbiage is clear, I read it at the time of delivery, maybe you should read your part. Thanks for responding to my review at least it shows that you try to keep a clean slate, but disappointed that you don't offer resolutions (not free)versus making excuses. Dave is one of the most genuine, honest individuals I have ever done business with. He is professional, caring and very responsive. To say we had BIG termite issues is to put it lightly. Dave provided expertise advice and stuck with us through COVID and our long journey we faced with our older home. His pricing was fair and I have total confidence in his ethics and work. Termite Inspection Fee: $120.00 Repairs Cost for clearance: $2350.00 *We really should have listened to our long time friend and Realtor to NOT use this company again! *I would expect someone to be much more pleasant than how she handles her clients over the phone. *The quality of work is not great. *They used interior paint for stucco on the exterior of our home that they replaced. *They do not clean up after themselves once work is complete. *On a positive note they are on time for appointments. Once all work was complete and paid, we never even got a simple Thank You! Update 11/14/16: I was not upset at all about you inquiring about the payment. I actually tried to make a payment and was told to wait till your website was updated to except payments. It was definitely interior paint. TERRIBLE!!!! I've used this company before in the past and never had problems until this last time. I had them spray inside and outside my house just like before. This time I came home and had huge white markings all over my house, all over my floors, all over my furniture. It was terrible. I have a toddler. How am I supposed to just leave giant spray paint looking marks all over my house, for him to touch and put in his mouth!? Whoever did my house this time was horrible.. We are buying a home and need a pest inspection. The guy that came out and did our pest inspection was professional and polite. He said if we had someone else do the work, he could still check it and give us a clearance. Well it came time to do the work, and they were not available for a month. We asked if they could re-inspect after someone else does the work, and Anita said No! They were mad that they weren't getting the work. And then wouldn't answer the phone or call back! ! What a shady company. Now we only have a few days and have to pay a new company, and we may lose our home over this! I would have given a star for the guy being thorough and polite, but it didn't help us at all. In fact it cost us time and money! I hope we can fix this! I've been crying and calling places all day!! *UPDATE* Anita Finally called back. She could not help me, and didn't even try. I operate a pest control company that only does Br II work. Without getting into all the details of what that means, I needed someone to do BR III work(termite)that wouldn't try to take my customers and provide an ethical service. I found this through David Gauden. I would follow-up with customers after his appointment and they all had great things to say about him. Called local realtor company in Ripon and asked who they recommended for termite problem. We have subterranean termites in interior wall. Dave came out and thoroughly examined the area and also the exterior. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. His employee that came out to do the work was friendly and did a great job of moving the furniture, pulling the carpet back, drilling holes, treating the areas, and putting the carpet back as if he were a carpet installer. If I could give this company a negative zero I would. This is the most unprofessional service I've ever dealt with. They are a small family owned company. The wife is Anita and her husband. I hired them to repair dry rot because my realtor hired them to do the inspection on my house. They are extremely expensive and I must say not worth the money!!! After they tore off parts of my roof and siding on my house and detached garage their guy took home the key to my main gate where I enter and park my car. They both were told told to return my key and slip it under my door mat. Instead they took it home. When I called them no one would answer so I called my realtor who called them. When the owner came to my door to drop off the key he blamed my realtor and myself for his worker taking home the key. Not sure how his worker is not at fault but it got much worse after this. I believe the guy's name is Bill. He proceeded to tell me they would need access to the inside of my house to use the restroom. I told him there is a MCD 1 block away. While I'm not at home no one is allowed into my house. I ordered their services back in May. I spoke with Anita 3 xs on the phone and never once did she ever mention anyone would need to access my house to use the restroom. I told him you guys had months to tell me about this supposed law now there's a law that mandates they have to use my restroom while I'm not home and at work. Does this guy really think I'm an idiot??? So unprofessional! It gets better. Than he said all realtors know this law. I said really because I'm the one paying you, not my realtor so than he says it's in the contract. I read the contract 3 xs that night and there's nothing mentioned in that contract. Than Bill Gauden states if my workers can't use your restroom than we will walk off the job. I was not happy with an ultimatum. After I reviewed the contract again that night and spoke to my realtor I fired them!!! I left them a VM and told them not to return to my property. I asked them to charge me for the day and after that we were done. They returned back to my property the next day. Not sure why. My neighbor told me that's the only way I knew. They didn't have any keys so they jumped my fence and tore off more boards that wasn't torn off the night before. I would encourage anyone dealing with this company to be very careful. They are very expensive, rude, unprofessional and never take ownership for their actions. Instead they will blame everyone but themselves for their actions. I learned a lot dealing with this company. In my opinion I strongly urge you to find another company. read more
