While we have had a couple of young employees who were not up to the mark, the long-term employees and the owner are just fantastic. I don't see the young trainees anymore! We had pest control service done at our home, and within three weeks, ants and other pests were still showing up. They claimed to offer a 30-day guarantee and said they'd re-service if any issues came up. I contacted them at week 3, again at week 4, and once more at week 6--no response. I even sent date-stamped photos showing the ongoing pest issues so they had clear proof and a reason to follow up. Still nothing. Turns out, two of our neighbors had the same experience--poor results and zero follow-through. So this isn't just a one-off. Unreliable and unethical, Don came to give estimate for monthly service, the price he quoted we signed agreement, he informed he will do first service on Saturday, got automated text for 10:30am appointment, no one showed up, called office left message on Saturday no one called back, called back again on Wed, no one called back. (the office gal is very sweet and helpful as well) We've been using his services for a few months now and he's not only great at what he does, but he's also friendly, very knowledgeable, accommodating as well as always goes the extra mile to please his customers. Since we had never used any pest control services ever, we had no clue about how it works or how they do what they do. They not only got back to my initial inquiry quickly, they were also very patient in all my questions and explained everything I needed to know. I was able to set up my first appointment very quickly. We also have kids & pets (both indoor and outdoor) and they use pet/kid safe products which is a huge plus for us. So happy I decided to call McLaren. We usually do our own pest control, but with a new baby we don't have the time or energy to do it anymore. It is quite disappointing that he terminated the service abruptly without proper agreement with customer and I am always willing to working with him per our tenants availability and still he terminated the service saying conflict with tenants availability. I never questioned his service or billing. We've used a few different pest companies since moving here, and the one we had prior to mclaren kept dropping the ball. We'd have to call them back multiple times for reservices, because their techs wouldn't take their time and get the job completely done. So we decided to see what else and who locally we wanted to try since our last company was one of the bigger franchise places. From recommendations of others, we decided to give McLaren a shot to help combat an ant flare up issue we were having around a year ago. They came out, were able to get the treatments we needed that were safe for both us and our pets. We did sign up for regular service, so they now come out every couple months, and are always a pleasure to work with. Their Techs are through, and everyone has been very friendly as well. I can't say enough how impressed and happy we are that we switched to McLaren Pest Control. From the moment I called to get a quote, I was met with such kindness and understanding. We have a one year old who loves to play outside in our backyard. Well that's been a little difficult lately, with spiders and critters. All over her water table and play structure. Not to mention the endless cob webs and spiders inside our home. Even days after being sprayed by our previous pest control. I called the office this morning and asked if anyone can come out ASAP today. They listened and 3 hours later, I had Don standing outside the door! Don inspected the property, cleaned the exterior of the house then sprayed the outside. As soon as he got outside, he was able to locate where and how ants were coming in and tackled the problem right away. He also set up extra traps in my kitchen area just in case. My call was out of pure desperation as I tend to research and read all the reviews before I make the call..but I'm glad that I did. I've been using McLaren ma services for over a year now and couldn't be more satisfied! They come out whenever I need them to and I rarely see any bugs around since they've started coming out! Office staff is very friendly and accommodating when I call to schedule/change appointments! Mike is my usual service technician and he's a very cool guy! Great personality and always asks if I'm seeing anything that he needs to focus on when he's spraying. I've forgot to unlock my side gate I don't know how many times when he's supposed to come, so now he just calls and makes sure, most times when I forget to unlock it he will focus on the front and will come back another day to get the back done, very accommodating and he's genuinely just a cool dude! I had an indoor moth problem and Don McLaren placed traps and sprayed and after a week he returned to see if his treatment was effective and it was. Turned out they were attracted to the bird seed I had stored in my garage and were coming inside every time I opened the door. I also was having spiders coming inside with lots of other insects and ants in my yard and had him spray and he got rid of many cobwebs too. He's very thorough and a super nice guy. I couldn't be happier with Don's services! My husband found him on yelp, and Don came by the next day. He took care of the bug issue, which was evident by all the dead bugs we found later on. He is extremely nice, knowledgeable, honest, punctual, and not pushy (had a pushy sales guy come out attempting to sell their pest control services the day before). Another big plus is his prices are very reasonable! I told Don about a black widow that I briefly saw run into a hole. About a week later, I assumed I found it. I called Don with my anxiety high. He asked me to cover it with a bowl and said he would be there after after seeing his next client. He came as promised and took care of it! Turns out it wasn't a black widow lol (Its body looked like it but with no red mark, and I was much too scared to take a closer look). Twice now McLaren has come to my rescue! First was for a rat issue under and over my house (yes they were in the crawlspace AND in the attic - those jerks). Mike from McLaren pointed out the likely access points, setup traps, and came back often to check on the traps and help with cleanup. Second was a wasp nest in our backyard. I'm deathly allergic to stings, so even though the nest was small, I would've been in big trouble if even one of those things decided it didn't like me.
