I'm pretty disappointed with Dewey pest control. We've been using their service for approximately 2 years and the service has progressively gotten worse and worse. I've ALWAYS left my side gate unlocked specifically for pest control treatments but my two most recent services the backyard has been skipped. Then, no one showed up for our service in June. My husband called July 8th, Dewey confirmed no one came out, and was give a lame response of "sorry, I'm not sure what happened, do you still want someone to come out?" We decided to cancel our services after being treated as if our business means nothing to this company. read more

I just cancelled my service with Dewey Pest Control. The service rep, Glenn was ok, but I was not comfortable with him. He did nothing out of the ordinary, just me with the feeling. The pest service was good and when he was finished, I had a lot of cockroaches around the house, all dead!! Wonderful, I didn't realize I had such a problem. The service I had before Dewey was fantastic, but the owner passed away and the business closed. So I am searching for the same feeling with great service. When I called to cancel my service the lady on the phone was very nice. She offered a different tech but I said no, I was just going to shop around until I found the good feeling again, If I don't I will most likely go back to Dewey and give them another try. If i could give a negative rating i would. The workers that do the pest maintenance do not do anything. They come in and in less than 10 minutes apparently they are done. Well there is a good size hornets nest under the front window of my home, which was missed by the tech. So I give them a -10. How can you miss a hornets nest if this is your job. read more

Terrible service! They do not do what you ask them to do! First, the lot was covered in fire ants and I got bit severely when I showed up in Sept after they supposedly had been spraying for ants through the off season. When we initially signed up we told them we did not want our lot sprayed December through March because we would be here with our dog. The technician said it was no problem and that we could cancel whenever we wanted. We arrived at our lot and called to cancel. Two weeks later a technician shows up and sprays and leaves a bill without even talking to us. We called and they said they could not find our invoice and we had to cancel 30 days before we want service ended. Of course they then said we owed them money for the treatment they had just done without our permission. Disgraceful! This place is very unprofessional and does not deserve your business! read more

These guys are great. Always call the day before and ask what time I want. They know I have a dog, so I need to be home to bring him in. They always ask if I need something specific to spray for. Had Dewey for a little over a year. Have had multiple issues with theblack of attention to detail by the pest controll gentleman. Examples are they say that they knocked down the cob webs, but upon inspection they never knocked down any cob webs under my california patio. When I called up and complained the first time the excuse was "i missed that area". How do you miss the only area in the back yard where people sit and visit? I Complained multiple time about the service person and their lack of attention to detail. I even called and requested a different person to start doing my service and was informed by a women on the phone that, they will not change my service person and pretty much I have to keep with this person doing the service. Welll..... no I dont! I ended up cancelling a little over my year anniversary and went with one of their competitors. They lost my bisness and my recomendation. read more

I do not have service with this company, but I was highly irritated July 4, 2019 when 2 of its employees (going to everyone's houses soliciting) would not stop ringing my doorbell. My 3 dogs barking like crazy....without opening my door I told them I wasn't interested.... they rang my bell again; I again said not interested and they condescendingly said "interested in what". Rude and aggressive salesman... We got a guy who had no nametag and failed to identify himself named "Joe". He ignored the "No solicitation" notice that is clearly visible on our mailbox and proceeded to knock. (Why he chose not to ring our doorbell is anyone's guess.) Our six month old puppy was barking loud enough that I could only make out "parking on the street", "your neighbors", and "black widow" and told him four times that I could not hear him due to our dog barking. Did he leave a business card or excuse himself? No, of course not, he went right on talking, oblivious to the fact that not everyone who answers their door can drop what they're doing in the middle of things. (The fact I had a tanktop and jeans with large white splotches of paint also didn't clue him into the fact we were busy. . . . .) FYI to Joe (just in case he can actually read), my fiance and I were just finishing putting our kitchen back together from a re-tile job. My fiance had to stop cooking dinner to go out to talk to Joe, who still didn't identify himself. Joe tried to tell my fiance that everyone in the neighborhood was using Dewey---wrong! We know the majority of our neighbors, as my husband's had this house for over twenty years.... He tried to sell my husband a pest control service for black widows and brown recluses, which yes we do have in the area (as they're native species), but given that they're also nomadic species, spraying won't work unless you see the actual spider. My fiance reported "Joe" wouldn't take 'no' for an answer. So I went out and got his name and double checked the company name on his shirt and Googled them. I spoke with a third-party answering service which defended Joe's extremely aggressive sales tactics and failure to read---the lady actually said "not to play the Devil's advocate, well yes I am, but it's not his job to read". Excuse me? Yes it very much is. And this is why we have a sign that says "no solicitation" clearly visible on our mailbox. Quite frankly people, unless you're just terribly busy and have money to throw away, your local hardware store can point you to the correct pesticides and methods of dealing with pests. We do all our own spraying. The only thing that gets by us is the occasional flea infestation due to all the ferals and cats running loose. (Which is what they make steam cleaners for.) read more

I was pretty happy with their services until the last time they came. Signed contract for the year and this will be my last time doing so. I don't like to do business with untrustworthy people. The dewey guy rung my doorbell which is a ring camera by the way. I didn't answer in time, but watched him go back to his truck. He sat there for about 20 mins got out used his little broom thingy to get down a couple of webs in the front to look like he'd been to my house than left. Never sprayed or went into my back yard to spray. Which side gate was unlocked for him. He just assumed I wasn't home so he didn't have to do his job I guess and that nobody would notice. Just lets me know I cant trust them to do what they promise. Its over seventy dollars to come out. I guess that money is gone and wasted. read more

We've had Dewey for about a year now for our pest control needs. I took a chance with them as they came to my door asking for our business. We have been very pleased ever since. Their technicians are friendly and very accommodating. We'll ask to spray inside garages, around pool equipment, garden and anywhere within the bounds of our yards. They always say no problem to snail bait and even ask to fill our bait stations that we fill ourselves. We've had a few different technicians and they are all very professional and friendly. Dewey wasn't able to deliver the services they sold us. We have a dog and a job, which means we can't just leave the gate open on a weekday. We were told when we signed up that they could visit on Saturdays. They did that a few times then decided recently they could no longer do that. I had been using Dewey for a couple years. We recently had an upsurge in all kinds of pests, beetles, cockroaches, ants, spiders and wasps. I asked them to please come out for an extra spray explaining everything that's been going on. I set an appointment for 1:30 pm as I work nights and wanted to be awake and show him what's going on, especially the wasps. Well on the day of my appointment I get a call at 7:30 am. I didn't answer as I was sleeping, then at 8 am he's ringing my doorbell, banging on the door, and then proceeded to bang on my side gate. It scared me out of my sleep. This person (probably too inappropriate to call him what he really is) then did NOTHING and left a note on my front door saying he came and completed my requested service. I have since cancelled my service and I'm going with another local competitor with better reviews. If Dewey wants to make this right, they give me back all the money they took for doing nothing. read more

The price was about the same as I was paying, but more service was described, so I made the move. I had my 1st service today by Anthony, a pest control technician. WOW... I was Very Impressed ! He was on time, friendly, clean and thorough. I asked him to spray and knock the webs in a shed that I have in the back yard. He not only complied with my request, he actually took a few minutes to straighten and sweep the shed as well. Looks Great ! Who does that kind of service any more ? We had contracted with Dewey for the past year due to a simple ants problem. The service guy said he would come and service our front and back yard so a "full" service. First of all, no one has access to our backyard unless one of us unlocks it so that was a lie. The supervisor came once and wanted to keep us happy and promised to take care of us, we wanted to cancel since the issue wasn't being taken care of. We gave them another chance. No one is helpful from the receptionist to the service guy and even the supervisor! They do not keep their word and we highly recommend everyone to look for pest service elsewhere!
