Please choose this location and business as they have been over-the-top with great customer service and onsite service. So far so good! I am a tenant who has had a long term relationship with Dewey Pest Control (since November 2024.) The Townhomes that I reside at in a semi-rural area has neighbors directly behind my wooden fenced back yard. One neighbor has an active chicken coop that extends about 1/2 way along my back fence and the other neighbor has a couple of outdoor dogs that get fed along the other half of my back fence. This equals a stinky back yard with a rat circus and a rat freeway along my fence. Currently we have birdstop (spiked strips along the entire top of the fence) which generally deters rats and keeps a variety of other creatures at bay. I have realized that over the two years I have been living at the townhomes, that if rats would like to sample the garden plants in my pots in the back yard, they will simply chew a hole right through the wooden fence, right through the drywall to my garage and also right through the fascia boards on my townhome. This allowed them access to the back yard where they dug in my plants, access to my garage where they decided to begin nesting, eliminating their bowels and bladders, as well as procreating and reproducing at speeds similar to the speed of California Insurance rate increases and also access to my crawlspace where they run the Indy 500. We have had many trips out to my townhome by Dewey (Austin and recently Paul, as Austin is no longer our rep.) I want to say that the rat activity has dwindled to a small amount of activity as the bait stations and snap-traps have been doing their job! Our contract allows for Dewey to also come remove deceased rats out of the regular monthly routine and I have had a very pleasant experience. At one point I needed to reach their office and via the website there was a number to text their office where I had, yet another outstanding experience with Kera who was very patient with me and responded quickly. Again...please choose this location and business as they have been over-the-top with great customer service and onsite service. Thank you both Paul & Kera at Dewey! read more

Both my jobs use Dewey, and Ryan Wayne is our technician. I can never say enough about him. Just recently I called to see if he could spray for spiders on the front deck and he came out the next day. Not only did he spray the front deck but he remembered we had issues with the shed and sprayed that too, I didn't even have to ask or remind him. Really great service. Thank you Dewey and Thank You Ryan for always going above and beyond. read more

Dewey's customer service is second to none. I have had quite a few different pest control services throughout the years and I would not use anyone else. Their professionalism, courtesy, and expertise in the field is outstanding. I live in a somewhat remote area and they are always quick to respond. read more

Zero stars. Customer Service is awful and the technician that came to my house three times left a mess in the hallway each time. On his last visit he left my hatch to the attic wide open. It was too heavy for me to close standing from a ladder so a neighbor came to help. Dewey's response was wild! read more

Great customer service! I appreciate their flexibility if I need to reschedule or add a service date. Fair price and reliable!

I am a real estate broker and always call on Dewey Pest. Jess will drive many miles to inspect my properties East of Alpine. Whenever I get a call from other agents about who does inspections, I always recommend Dewey Pest. I won't have any other company. They are friendly, fair and timely and send a very comprehensive report. I highly recommend them. read more

James ward is the best. Such a sweet guy always doing his best. He goes above and beyond the work is done well.

Fast, efficient and personable. They are always quick to respond. I really appreciate their expertise .

Dewey Pest Control is amazing! I recently purchased a home in the El Cajon area. Needed to get some termite repairs done and glad I went with Dewey. Franky the crewman was great and very knowledgeable. After speaking with the office staff and the manager Elias, I ended up going on a pest control service with them. Everyone I have spoken with has been very professional and super friendly. Now bug free! Highly recommend this company. read more

I have been working with Dewey for several years and this review is long overdue! The ladies at the front are such a joy to work with - Monica, Renee and Joanna! Our technician, James is so personable and knowledgeable. I feel very confident in his ability to treat our property effectively, with any given situation we face. Thank y'all for everything you do for us!! read more

Got a great quote and decided to use this company. I live in the mountains and have lots of pests.

Dewey pest control treats 2 homes for me. The first home we've treated for ants for 20+ years. The ant issue is gone. Really appreciate the way they call before treatment and check with us for any issues. Second house is treated for ants and spiders. Again, they confirm before treatment and issues are gone. Definitely recommend them. If there is ever an issue we let them know and they take care of it. read more

I'm super satisfied with you all. Ryan is my pest control officer and he's great. He's knowledgeable. He's kind he's funny. He's professional and he always comes on time and always offers any help in between if I needed it. Recommend Pest Control.. read more

I really appreciate Dewey but more than anything I love our guy Gabriel for always being on top of our need. Best customer service ever

Hey Dewey, If you're gonna send your guys door to door to solicit don't ignore the " no soliciting" people have posted this will not earn you business , also when told no thank you, we already have service , that is not your place to ask from who , this is no brainer stuff here Im already annoyed about being solicited when I shouldn't be what makes you think I'm going to tell you who I have service through ? ?? That's just downright stupid right there. I was actually referred to Dewey from a friend and was considering getting a quote now I'm completely turned off and want nothing to do with your business. read more

They tented our house. They were easy to work with, great customer service. Jess was outstanding. He moved some of our plants out of the way so they wouldn't be harmed.. easy process with Dewey. read more

Here is a summary of why I am no longer a customer: The last straw was when I wanted to cancel the rodent control portion of my service. I was told that the charge was $16 a month. Once I cancelled, I was immediately sent two price increase notices. Called the office and they were less than helpful. Left a bad Yelp review. Suddenly, more helpful. Cancelled service. Last billing was about 40% higher than ever. They couldn't find two of the three rat boxes. I found them. Clearly not maintained for months, if not years. Figured out a few years ago that our tech had been servicing another house with the same house number, the next street over. Who knows how long I was skipped? Nobody! Did get a partial refund due to the error. Many, many rate increases. Extra star given for taking care of ant invasions whenever they happened in the house. Very effective. read more

Alan and Javier service our property, Villa Del Sol. We absolutely LOVE their work!! Alan comes every Thursday, is so friendly and knowledgeable. Javier is always available to help when we need additional services. OMG!! Our bee situation was insane!! We had a hive on the roof of one of the buildings the size of a 4 yr old child and they went in sprayers blazing!! read more

They sent an unsolicited letter to my home addressed to "Mr. and Mrs. [My Husband's First Name] [My Husband's Last Name]" and I don't know what kind of 1955 Boomer sh*t this is, but I'm not here for it. Even if we had the same last name (we don't), and even if I was a "Mrs" (I'm not, I'm a Dr.), I'd still have my own first name??? Dear Dewey Pest Control, sometimes women are allowed to wear pants, and even make household decisions! And the decision in this household is I'm finding a pest control company who is living with us in 2020. read more

I would like to thank the branch manager for contacting my wife and apologizing for our recent issues with their service. We understand the difficulties of businesses trying to regain footing in light of quarantine issues, but it is also incumbent upon a business to appreciate that individuals have those issues as well. I think the branch manager understands and we believe he is sincere in improving. We appreciate their commitment to customers and service. read more

I have sent your company an email and I am letting your other customers know the reasons why we are canceling our service with your company. This is due to a lack of service by your Exterminator known as K* at the El Cajon Office. Our reasons are as follows: On July 2017, your Exterminator, known as K* responded to our residence. At that time, K* told my husband he did not have enough spray to finish treating our yard and that he did not want to make anymore chemicals to spray it. K* then abruptly left and did not return to finish the job. In October 2017, I had sent an email to your Dewey's, corporate office and also called your company to inquire when our residence was going to be serviced again. I was told by your call taker that K* had already came out to our address on September 30, 2017. However, K* did not call or show up at our residence. He was also not truthful with your company when he claimed that he had already serviced our house. We, were home all day, due to my mother's birthday party being held at our house and had guests throughout the entire day. On October 23, 2017, at 0915 hours, K* again was scheduled to spray our residence. My neighbor stood by and watched K* spray the exterior base at our residence. K* again did not spray our front or backyard. I had also called your company and spoke to Elias your Supervisor and told him about all of the above incidents and lack of service by your employee. Elias said he would respond to our residence to inspect K*'s work. Elias told me he tried to get a hold of K* by phone several times and K* would not answer his phone. Again, our house was not sprayed to our satisfaction. On November 14, 2017, I received a phone call from Elias after I sent an email to cancel our service, and to also request a refund for July 2017. Elias said his Manager would not allow him to give us a refund, however, I was credited for $35.50 for K*'s NO SHOW at our residence on Sept 2017. I was also told by Elias that it was State law that they could not spray my front or backyard. They could only spray 12" from the exterior baseline/structure of my residence and that it has been that way for the past year due to the state law. I am disappointed and not satisfied with Dewey's Pest Control Service. The employees are not held accountable by their supervisor and it's the tail that wags the dog at this business. read more

Johnathon has been here every week helping us battle our massive ant problem. Our house is the ideal breeding ground for ants. Johnathon is so thorough, he spends time not only spraying the obvious places but lifting up wood etc to make sure he has covered everything. We went from an invasion that didn't allow us to be in our kitchen to a couple hundred ants in one specific area. He treated that final area today, hoping this is it. Thank you for giving me my kitchen back and being so professional, kind and calming read more

Might be cancelling our service soon. We have been using this company for nearly 4 years and it seems to be going downhill. In the last 6 months or so, it seems that technicians "sometimes" show up when they are supposed to, and when they do, perform a half-ass job. In the beginning, the technicians seemed to be much more professional and capable of doing the job. Now not so much. Even when you specifically ask them to do a certain task, they will say they did when they didn't (I have cameras in my yard that I check). The only positive is that they provide fair pricing and flexible plans. But, it seems that the cheaper pricing is getting us shitty service now. read more

We had an interior spray on Friday and Andreas was an awesome technician. Not only at his job but at his customer service and personal skills. We had an entire building to remove early and he was patient and very nice. Dewey has been great for years. Technician Christopher came to our house for the monthly pest control service. He rang the doorbell and when no one answered he put the standard doorknob card stating what services were performed on our door. My husband was upstairs on a business call (he works from home) and saw all this from the office window. Christopher went back to his truck and sat in the truck. He NEVER performed the pest control service. He sat in his truck about 5 minutes then drove away! My husband called Dewey, talked to the manager, he said he would send Christopher back. Are you kidding! We requested a different tech. The manager and Mason came out to perform the monthly pest control service later on Monday. Today (Wednesday) my husband spoke to Elias the manager so hopefully our service will continue without issues in the future. read more

I have a large yard and at different times of the year I feel like all the ants and insects from my yard are taking over the inside of my house causing me to want to move outside. For this reason I recently signed up for service with Rod at Dewey Pest Control in El Cajon. I was so pleased with the simplicity of it all and how unintrusive the technician was when he came to my property for my first service. In addition, I was impressed by how knowledgeable he was when answering my many questions. I'm confident that this year, the pests will not be taking up residence in my home along with me and that makes me very happy. I will be recommending my friends and family to contact Rod at Dewey Pest Control and get their homes protected from those annoying pests as well. read more

Recently I was referred to Rod at Dewey pest control. I decided to set up service mostly for the ant and insect problem I have around my house. Yesterday the service technician Christopher came out to start things off. He was right on time at the beginning of the time slot, which is so nice to not wait around. He was very knowledgeable and inquisitive to my needs. He promptly did the service with a smile! I am excited to continue my contract with Dewey. read more

Very knowledgable staff! I know there are "home remedies" for pests but when you've sprayed the line of ants in your house with windex for the fifteenth time it's nice to work with people who know what they are talking about. The spraying guys are friendly and always ask what problems you are seeing! Plus after I've shopped around, I found this place to be the most affordable. They have really worthwhile deals when you sign up for a plan. Totally worth it, we are always ant free and when we started having pincher bugs all the time they came out an extra trip at no charge! Glad I went with this company, I'm very pleased. (Edited for typo) read more
