We had a party of 12 which they accommodated with same day reservation. They brought bottomless biscuits for a light appetizer and I ordered the swordfish for my entree with truffle Mac and Brussels sprouts as my complimentary two sides. This exceeded my expectations as the food was fresh, hot, and delicious. I will certainly be back. Food was what you would expect for a seafood and steakhouse. Total meal as about $50 total. This place is has a wonderful atmosphere. I had the Seafood Mixed Grill. They cooked all the seafood very well and it was deliscious. I didnt enjoy the brussel sprouts too much but it wasnt bad. Their mashed potatoes were good too. The place was packed and everyone seemed to be having a good time. I had a good time and enjoyed my meal overall. I only took off 1 star because it took a while for me to be greeted and didnt get much attention. I usually prefer that but was by myself and didnt plan to stay long. The mushroom risotto looked good, wish I tried that but maybe some other time. read more

Went for lunch. Everything was very good. We had the following: Oyster Rockefeller, Lobster Bisque, Crab cake melt, Lump Crab cake with 2 sides and Seared scallops with 2 sides. There were 4 big perfectly cooked scallops. My son wished there were more. His sides are lobster Mac and cheese and Parmesan roasted potatoes. The crab cake came with whipped potatoes and asparagus. They really know how to cook seafood and the sides were perfectly seasoned. Even the French fries and cheese bread were really good. Our server Greg was excellent. We really enjoyed our food and already thinking of reasons to come back to Hershey. We are 3 hours away and came for golf. The price tag: $89 and with tip $107. Got to say that we were disappointed in this restaurant. Was really looking forward to a quiet, pleasant evening of excellent food and ambiance. What we got was very overpriced food, decent service and a loud restaurant. Our reservation was Tuesday, August 24th for our anniversary, at 6 pm. We were seated promptly and were wished well for our anniversary by several staff members. We only ordered soft drinks but our order was taken promptly and the food was very quick. We ordered shrimp scampi for an appetizer and it was ok, very minor garlic and butter flavor. Nothing special. We both ordered steaks, mine was the T-Bone and hers was Prime KC Steak. Neither had a great taste. If there cooking process was over some type of wood fired grill, then the wood instilled a less than complimentary flavor. In all honesty, the steak I make at home has a better flavor and for the price, (around $45 each), many better options in the area. The side dishes were ok, again nothing special. We ordered 3 desserts to go and those were all tasty. The bill for one appetizer, 2 dinners, 2 soft drinks and 3 desserts was $140 before tip. I have gotten much better, more satisfying meals for 1/2 that amount. As for the ambiance, was very loud considering there were two groups of men that each seemed to want to outdo the other table with loudness and at least two tables with screaming infants. Not what we expected for this kind of pricing. It's quieter at a Longhorn Steakhouse with better tasting food! read more

I have long been a fan of the Philly location. The Hershey location has a very different look, but same great menu. I tried the Sunday brunch menu for the first time this past weekend. I had the Shrimp and Grits. It's was good and filling. Husband stuck to his old standard, the Mixed Grill; Salmon, Shrimp, Scallop, Crab Cake and two sides. We were sat in the fairly busy bar area. Celebrated my birthday here as a party of 4. Everything was fantastic! I had an absolutely perfect dirty martini, my boyfriend and I shared the lobster bisque to start with, it was very good. The biscuits they serve are wonderful, too. I ordered a surf and turf combo, steak was cooked to perfection and they allowed me to do blackened shrimp and shrimp instead of shrimp and scallops since I'm not a huge mollusk fan. My wife, daughter (6 yrs old), and I had a wonderful experience. I need to begin by sharing that our server Jake was genuinely the most kind server I've ever met. He was both professional and warm. I see that others have echoed praise for Jake...I have to believe that this is his genuine character. Thanks for hiring individuals like him. He added a lot to our experience. My wife and I both ordered fillets. Mine was rare...hers well done...both perfect! The addition of truffle butter was a great recommendation by Jake. I also had scallops...super fresh. Every single side sounded delicious. My daughter had the kid's burgers...she was happy as well. Expect to pay a little more than your average steak or seafood meal, but recognize that you are receiving a product that is also very high in quality. While I am not a restaurant connoisseur, all items seemed priced appropriately for both portion and quality. Everything tasted wonderful! We will be back for sure. Well done! read more

When it comes to Hershey, PA....this may be the best restaurant in town. The food is fantastic, the fish is always fresh and the service is good. I've been here both for lunch (check it out: Devon's has $10 lunch specials on weekdays! Get the crab melt, it's GREAT!) and for dinner; both menus are great. Most recently, my bf and I came here for an early Valentine's Dinner. We ordered up a storm!! 1. For starters, we got the HUGE shared sampler: It comes with 2 big lump crabcakes, calamari, shrimp scampi & 3 sauces - of which my fave is the mango 2. A Caesar salad: It had real anchovies...but the cracker piece was a bit salty 3. The Chicken Penne Pasta: Incredible! It had juicy blackened chicken, sundried tomato pesto, leeks, sweet peas, shitake mushrooms and a light cream sauce with a hint of pepper to add a little kick. Totally unpretentious, made with incredible ingredients, and absolutely delicious. 4. Lobster Mac'n'Cheese: Mac'n'cheese may be my favorite food...add lobster to it and I say I LOVE YOU! We were so overstuffed, we had a bag of leftovers for the next day (and sadly no space for dessert). If you really like seafood, this place is known to ship in fresh seafood daily. I was treated to a dinner along with my brother by my Mother at Devon recently and was accompanied by my wife and my Mom's friend. we were seated in the main dining room although on a prior visit we were seated in the private seating room which was nice. My brother and I were pleased that they had craft beer on the drink menu and split a Saison Vos by Sly Fox and our party all shared the seafood sampler which consisted of lump crab cakes, calamari which was fried as well as shrimp scampi with a trio of sauces. The food came out fresh and at proper temperature and was enough to go around for an appetizer for us. On my last visit I ordered the seafood mixed grill which was very good and also had an absinthe drink which was served in the traditional way. I chose to order off of the fresh fish menu on this visit and tried the Hawaiian Monchong which was moderately priced and was a very tasty fish. I enjoyed a side of lemon asparagus risotto and lobster mac n cheese. I was stuffed since I enjoyed a Troegs Sunshine Pils with the appetizer and the 750ml of Saison w/ the meal was enough to keep me from ordering dessert. I did get a taste of my wife's chocolate + pineapple which was more chocolate cake and not much pineapple but it was ok. I think the place is pretty consistent in quality and would be happy to return for another meal. I highly recommend making reservations prior to going. The place was packed on a saturday night! I came here early and decided to sit at the bar until our table was ready but ended up eating at the bar. I had their michele chiarlo nivole d'Asti with their tuna tartar, then we proceeded to order a surf and turf cause it seemed like a better deal. We had the filet mignon with grilled scallops with artichoke and lobster mac and cheese as sides. The wine was really good, definitely to my liking. I love dessert wines. The tuna tartar was a bit too sour for me. The presentation was really nice though. The filet mignon was a bit burnt on the outside but other wise the meat is pretty tender. The scallops were decent sized. I do regret ordering the artichoke cause of how annoying it was too eat, my first time eating artichoke actually. The server did warn us but we decided to take our chances. The dip that it came with was nice though, complimented it nicely. The lobster mac and cheese was a disappointment. There was literally NO lobster in it. My boyfriend liked it alot though as a dish, although I'd disagree. Portions are pretty fair, we were both pretty full afterward. Things are a bit pricey for what you're getting, but I guess it's cause of the atmosphere? It's cozy and a bit upscale. I only wish the food lived up to its price. read more

Devon seafood grill is nothing short of amazing. It has a very dim romantic decor and a wide variety of dishes. Definitely on the higher end of our budget but definitely worth it for special events, vacations, etc. We also figured at the end of our meal that a soup and two starters would probably have been plenty. Our waitress, Nicole, was so knowledgeable about everything on the menu. She made some great recommendations and was fun to chat with. We ended up getting two soups, a starter, and two entrees. Their honey biscuits were really fresh too. Now if you're a fan of lobster bisque - you certainly won't be disappointed! Quite possibly the best I've had. We also got a clam chowder and it was so zesty.. not to mention the addition of some smokey bacon. The soup was also served in bowls, so definitely a bigger portion than expected. Appetizer was a chipotle grilled shrimp dish which I enjoyed more than I thought I would. My boyfriend loves Mexican flavors, but I'm not too keen on cilantro so I was hesitant. turned out I couldn't even taste it. He thought it was super cilantro-y so he enjoyed it a lot too. If you're indecisive but love seafood like me, go with the mixed seafood sampler entree. It was a suggestion from Nicole and it was delightful! I'm usually reluctant to order scallops because of bad restaurant experiences, but the scallops came with two shrimp surrounding each, a nice char grilled exterior, and a buttery tender inside that sent me to seafood heaven. It also came with a crab cake - like 99% crab and 1% whatever its held together with. If you enjoy real crab cakes without the filler then you're in for a treat. The piece of salmon I got was huge! Well cooked and everything was served with these interesting sauces.. a creole remoulade and a mango tartar sauce? I'm allergic to mango so I didn't try it, but the creole was delish. They also let you change out the sides and I got whipped potatoes and roasted artichoke. The artichoke comes with a Parmesan garlic aioli kind of sauce and it was also pretty amazing. BF got surf and turf salmon and a petit filet. The waitress waits for you to slice into your steak to make sure its cooked to your liking, which it was. Asparagus and roasted potatoes were great sides. Me being a bottomless pit, we finished all our food. Quantity-wise we ordered a lot, but nothing was too heavy except maybe the whipped potatoes. Everything we got was grilled too so I didn't feel too guilty at the end of the night. They get an A+ in my book. Fresh caught seafood and creative dishes make me a happy camper :) read more

I have been here a few times, mostly during Restaurant Week. Its basically what you expect from seeing it advertised: an upscale seafood restaurant with fresh caught specials and a price tag to boot. I like the ambiance of the place, but at times it can be hard to read the menu in the dim lighting. I can't say that I was never disappointed with the food though. I ordered a duck flat bread one time and I will never make that mistake again. Wasn't good at all! Everything else has been fine. I did have one incident the last time I went where we couldn't figure out how to use the salt and pepper grinder. We asked the waitress and it stumped her as well. Ended up bringing us the old fashioned shakers. It was good for a laugh. Took us awhile to figure out why our food wasn't getting any saltier though. read more

One of the best surf and turf dinners I've ever had! They start you off with a cheddar peppercorn biscuit, served warmed. After tasting this I knew the rest of the meal would be great! I ordered the 8oz filet with sea scallops. My sides were the lemon asparagus risotto and Yukon good mashed potatoes. Everything was cooked perfectly! Lobster mac. Get it as a side dish rather than as your entree for value pricing. Smoked salmon flatbread. Perfectly seasoned. Bonus: join the birthday club (must be done well in advance!) and receive an email for a complimentary entree in the month of your birthday -- each email is barcoded & numbered so it can only be used once, but it's nice to be able to do it on your own time schedule. read more

Absolutely amazing! Our experience here was wonderful. We walked in about 15 minutes prior to our reservation time and were seated right away. However, we were seated in a smaller room with a large and extremely obnoxious group. They were so loud that I ended up walking up and asking to be moved which was not a problem at all for the hostess because she quickly found us another table in the bar area and a much better server considering our original server left us sitting for ten minutes before finally coming to attempt to take our drink order. Our next server, Nicole, was fabulous! She greeted us promptly and made sure to explain everything to us about the menu and what makes this restaurant so special. She also made suggestions for us, both wine and food. The food was heavenly, every bit of it. For our appetizers we decided on the spicy tuna sushi roll and the fried calamari... both were delicious. The calamari came with this creole dip that was just so good that I'd probably eat anything with it. The caesar salad was a 10. As for dinner, my fiancé and I both ordered the seafood mixed grill. I substituted my salmon for a second crab cake. We also changed out the sides and made sure to get four different ones -- lobster mac n' cheese, wild mushroom risotto, brussels sprouts with prosciutto, and the super yummy creamed corn with bacon. All of them were delicious, but the creamed corn was by far the best! And all of the seafood was fantastic. The crème brûlée was great, too! The other who arrived after us had an appetizer and then entrees served. We still did not have any food. I still enjoy Devon. I am SO glad they changed to cheddar biscuits from those crumbly dry sweet ones they used to give out. And the happy hour is always a good deal. HOWEVER I just want to say that I miss the days of going to happy hour and having the "lobster at cost" be $10-$11 Which is pretty reasonable considering we can buy live lobsters at the Giant or Weis for between 8.99-11.99 a lb. But NOW they're like $15. Seriously does it cost Devon $15 for a 1lb lobster? That doesn't seem like "cost" Its not a deal breaker for me, I'll still go and enjoy other menu items but I just miss my cheap(er) lobster. Tonight for Happy Hour I had the Spicy Tuna Sushi roll. Its really good tuna slices not the chopped up kind you see other places when you order a spicy tuna rolll. The spicy sauce is REALLY spicy. It is lip burning. But its lip burning GOOD. I also had the shrimp scampi which is so good. The shrimp are cooked perfectly and its buttery and garlicky but not greasy and its served with some yummy garlic bread. I also got a $3 lobster claw. It was served chilled with some cocktail sauce and another sauce I didn't identify. I love how they put fresh horseradish on top of the cocktail sauce. So that was fun. Didn't get dessert this time.
