We were so impressed by our first visit to Devon. When I called (4 pm or so on a Sunday) they said their reservations were booked, and waiting in the bar was about 45 mins. However, when we arrived (5 :15 or so) it was fairly empty. We walked right up to the bar top and received drinks and delish garlic butter cheddar biscuits with honey and chocolate butter immediately. Staff were super duper friendly and had great suggestions. We opted for a dozen oysters (the cocktail sauce was on point, and the vinegar sauce was killer). And then had calamari. They were a tad on the greasy side, but really fresh, and again, the sauces were delish. We opted to share a surf and turf, and the food arrived already separated on two different trays. The steak and almond were both cooked absolutely perfectly and the mushroom risotto was AMAZING. Garlicky and delicious, with huge chunks of mushrooms. We also did the lobster Mac and cheese- which was good, but maybe not worth the upgrade. It was a TON of food, and I have no regrets about the double app, and sharing a dinner. The atmosphere was not as fancy as I thought it may be, which was refreshing, and the staff were fantastic!! We've gone to Devons two times recently and both were outstanding. Everything comes out perfectly prepared and the food is delicious. If you're looking for a fun date night or even a fancy family dinner it's a great location for both. This past weekend we had a private room for a large group of friends to celebrate a birthday in our group. The staff took incredible care of us and for a group of 16 it went off perfectly. So I was pretty impressed with Devon so far. We came here for their happy hour from 2-4 on weekends and we were not disappointed. Food: we sampled the following appetizers: Lobster happy hour special Raw oysters Rockefeller oysters Calamari plate Mini lobster rolls Bacon biscuit Whole lobsters are available during happy hour. They are market price / lb which was incredibly delicious and well priced. We also had the buck a shuck featuring the medium bodied blue points - fresh, crisp, and delicious. Rockefeller oysters came as 3 and were saucy with spinach and cheese and baked to perfection. I personally thought the Rockefeller's were extremely rich so beware. The calamari plate we got through checking in on yelp. Honestly the calamari was the star to the show in appetizer world here next to the lobster and raw oysters. Highly recommend the calamari plate! My only let down we're the lobster rolls since the buns weren't buttered and were dry while the heavily mayonnaise filling tried to compensate the dryness. We received a cheddar and bacon biscuit which was perfectly flaky as well. Service was attentive and not excessive and we had a great waitress who checked up on us and knew when we were done. My only hiccup with this place is the parking which was not only horrific but incredibly confusing and tight. Definitely will be back for a real meal! read more

Likely my favorite "upscale" place in Hershey. Devon is great because they consider your dining experience before you even arrive. My wife and I went for our anniversary and were greeted with a little celebratory card on the table and a complimentary appetizer. Our server Jake was fantastic, friendly and very attentive! My AMAZING Hershey Martini was heavenly!! We ordered the large seafood appetizer for a party of 8 and we could barley finish it! The platter was very good, but the giant chilled shrimp was a little tough. I ordered the Grilled Seafood dinner with salmon over mashed, scallops and shrimp, and fresh lump crabmeat and it was all so delicious I couldn't decide what I liked the best on my very large plate! I had to share it!! I had the Creme Brûlée for desert! Yum!! My friend had the perfectly cooked fillet with cream corn that was also delicious!! The list goes on! Great restaurant! Our first time dining here, we were greatly pleased with the service, atmosphere, and amazing quality of their food and drinks. Our server was efficient and attentive. We had the Oysters Rockefeller, Crab Legs, Lobster Tail and Filet, Scallops, and Swordfish. I've never tasted King Crab Legs or a Lobster Tail with that much flavor before, and the tenderness of the aged filet with a hint of woodsmoke rivaled Peter Lugers for overall taste. I don't know what they put into those cheese biscuits, but there were incredible accompanied by the maple butter. Loved the lobster risotto and lobster mac and cheese is must. Vanilla creme brulee, and the berries dessert also outstanding. Their Covid compliance was 100% on point, so we felt safe as well as satisfied. This place is just spectacular! Everything was superb! I literally have nothing bad to say about this place. From the ease of making online reservations all the way to the end when the hostess helped take our photo. Every staff member was super kind and helpful. The food speaks for itself. We had the goat cheese bruschetta, fresh oysters, salmon, swordfish, lobster mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, and some veggies, and their daily special cheesecake dessert! The chocolate classic martini was enjoyed by someone else in our party because I personally wasn't a fan but I don't hold that against them. I also had a blackberry martini that was pretty tasty. I was unimpressed with my filet mignon & lobster Mac that I didn't taste any lobster in & had little flavor at all to the entire meal. asparagus My lobster tail was ok. I didn't finish any of it, maybe because it wasn't warm but it wasn't cold so I'm not sure what to call that. Waitress took it back & heated it. We generally eat at Devon 3 to 4 times a year and it has been our Easter go to for the last 4 years. Today's meal was a real disappointment. My Steak was ordered medium and came out very rare. The risotto was extremely over cooked and essentially mush and the St. John's Bay scallops, which are usually great, had zero flavor. Add to the mix that they forgot our Lobster Thermidor appetizer but did then bring it out after our mains were served and comped it. The Lobster Thermidor was basically a crock of lobster bisque with a few pieces of claw meat mixed in and topped with panko. All in all we were extremely disappointed. read more

We had a great meal at Devon. We enjoyed their take on Caprese salad... Basil ice cream instead of basil leaves! This would be a super hot summer days salad. I had scallops over Risotto. Great! My wife had a filet done medium plus. I sampled it. It had a nice smoky crusty outside. Had duck flatbread too. As our waitress pointed out this is much enhanced with balsamic glaze, which she brought out. Service was great. The waitress is very informed about the menu and she was a sweetheart! Our party of 10 chose Devon's for New Year's Eve Dinner last night, disappointed would be an understatement! Giving one star bc zero stars is not an option. Started off with being served a drink with a crack in the glass and a hair in the drink. No one around to get their attention to replace the drink so I had to eventually get up and approach someone for help. After being there over an hour we had only received a biscuit and butter and then we were told they were out of lobster bisque, sushi rice for rolls, goat cheese bruschetta and cauliflower...all the apps we ordered. While being out of those things is bad enough, why did it take a half hour or more after we ordered for anyone to realize??? Entrees were JUST ok, nothing I would ever go back for. Service was awful, answers were short and condescending...when you actually got answers. To top it off...ordered dessert. Guess what? No crème brûlée left. Manager came over to tell us after we ordered and her personality and professionalism leaves much to be desired, as well. So many better places to choose from, we won't be back! read more

The Oyster Rockefeller although very tasty could use some Pernod but that's my liking. I tried Jo's sushi shrimp and they were good. My sole stuffed with crab was excellent. I have had the pleasure of visiting multiple Devon locations and each one has been consistent with fresh food offerings and great service from the waitstaff. During this particular visit, we had the pleasure of having Dawn H. as our waitress and she was excellent. I really appreciated her honest opinions when asked her thoughts on certain menu selections and I also appreciated that she took the time to explain the freshness of the fish. The only annoying part was that I was able to make reservations via OpenTable for a party of 4 at 8:15. I called and requested a 7:00 reservation and was told that there were no earlier reservations available. We actually arrived at Devon at 7:30 hoping to possibly be seated earlier, but was told (a little rudely) that we would not be seated until closer to 8:15. When we rounded the corner, there were plenty of tables available and that was just in the bar area! As a matter of fact, we wanted the table in front of the fireplace and it stayed empty for the entire 45 minutes until our 8:15 reservation. What the heck was that all about?! Besides the mild irritation with the hostess, our meal was delicious as always: Shrimp cocktail-HUGE shrimp Clam chowder-delish Mussels in green curry and coconut- amazing Spicy tuna roll-delish Fried shrimp-huge, delicious, and we received about a dozen!
