This was a coffee shop around the corner from our hotel. We went there each morning. The shop is clean and fairly open with adequate seating. The service is quick and the coffee was fantastic. Highly recommend getting coffee from here
Devoción was delectable! I was a bit skeptical because it was crowded and they don't have syrups on the menu. I ordered their specialty drink (I forgot the name but it had cinnamon) and it was yummy! Full of spices and the espresso was not too bitter. Seating is packed but if you wait a little you can find a spot. Classic New York, great coffee but time consuming because so many people want it too!
So let me tell yall this!!!!!! My daughter went to this quaint shop to buy a pastry . The name of this pastry is the Kouign-amann ( pronunciation: Queen Armand) She was like Ma this is it........... it taste so dang on goood I was like yeah right. I tasted a piece from her and I was hooooooooked!!!!!! Every time I went here to get it(Kouign-amann), it was sold out!!!!!!! It is buttery and sweet and delightful!!!!! They have other great delights here but my focus is this particular pastry!!!!! The customer service here is very polite and sweet ....like the pastryThe pastry ( Kouign-Amann) is stuff with caramel my absolute favvvvvvv!!! Usually they are not stuffed, the pastry..... Also they sell out of the (Kouign-Amann) by mid morning ( like around 11am GET THERE EARLY.....so I think the best time would be early morning..... This place gets lightly crowded so seats may be scarce... This place is great to have a sip of coffee and a snack and great conversation. The space is sweet and looks like a great workspace. Very comfortable and alluring. I give this place a 100/10!!! Absolutely a very kool vibe for sure Recommend highly
What a delicious, strong as I love espresso. I like the aesthetics here, like a little coffee time the woods . The plants make it very relaxing and homey . I wasn't hungry at this point so I only got a mid day pick me up. Wasn't crowded when I was there so I decided to sit for a bit. Drinks are surprisingly not high priced for the amazing quality. My espresso was automatically served with seltzer, ahhh true coffee conisours here , my caffeine hungry soul smiled. Staff was pleasant. Next time I'll indulge in a pastry. The server recommended the guava croissant. A good selection of roasted beans and coffee accompaniments for sale. Bathroom was spacious and clean. Location is close to trains and buses.
The interior of this coffee shop is truly insane. There's not a whole lot of seating because most of the shop is taken up by the island of plants in the middle, but even on a busy Saturday it seemed most people were able to find a table or armchair. I've been to the DUMBO location which was less impressive design-wise but still a nice vibe. I've gotten the aromatica both times and really enjoyed it, this time I tried the papaya but will be back for the peach. It's nice to have a fruity tea that doesn't taste so dull like they usually do. The pancito de chocolate was a tad disappointing, maybe because it was later in the day it just felt kind of dense and flavorless. I've heard they're amazing so I'd give it another go, but at this point I'd recommend this spot just to marvel at the ambiance and also possibly grab a famous coffee, which I still have yet to try.
Not impressed at all, service was really slow on Sunday morning , the line was so long , we've got Latte and tea , and it took more then 20 min . The banana bread was tasteless . We've paid $17, kinda pricey
Cozy minimalistic aesthetic with real plant decor in dining area. I like the wide windows and high sealing. It's strictly coffee no other teas like chai or matcha unfortunately. Opted for cappuccino and banana bread. The service is prompt, since they didn't have matcha or chai, I ordered cappuccino with oatmilk and banana bread. The bread was semi sweet and thick. The cappuccino was tasty and airy. I like the oat milk art drizzled on top. The toilets are left of cashier with code access so ask staff first. Very clean and busy atmosphere. Apparently there's no WiFi on the weekdays. Still a great vibe for small meetings/dates.
Nice coffee spot close to the G train! I'm glad they have some decaf options as well, including the aromatica series. I got the apple strawberry mint aromatica iced, which was a bit underwhelming at first. It really didn't taste like much until the tea warmed up, and then the apple and strawberry flavors came out stronger. Service was quick. Extra points to this place for its ambience and decor, as there are some cool plants and generally clean and kind of punky decor. There are some options for seating, though it was full in the afternoon when I went.
Lots of indoor seating here with a great vibe, lots of plants, multiple types of seating options. We brought a big group here after a run and had plenty of room to sit with our drinks and pastries. I wish they had outdoor seating as well.
they forgot my order but it's okay because I checked with them after 5 minutes and they were apologetic about it. the iced oat latte ($7) was pretty good, I liked the espresso base and it wasn't that milky although it may look like it
A plant mom paradise. Served the crispiest, butteriest croissant I have ever eaten. Drip coffee was ok, strong in flavor but on the sour side. Tasted heavenly with the croissant. Seating however, is next to impossible to find!! Best to get there early--if you're caught in the 10:30-2:30pm coffee rush, you're toast.
Just an oasis in a crowded stretch of downtown Brooklyn. As if Devocion's coffee weren't worth going out of your way for (spoiler alert: it is!), this cafe features an incredibly large, welcoming, utterly delightful indoor space, featuring lush greenery (real or fake, I dunno, but it makes for a charming spot) and a cool little raised platform in the center that feels like a secluded hangout. I'm usually a staunch coffee to-go person--nothing against hanging out, but I'm a New Yorker, I've got places to go ... if I wanted to sit and linger, I'd get tea, right? But this spot is so welcoming it feels hard not to stop for a bit and enjoy that quality coffee. They have a small but interesting selection of snacks and pastries--I tried the Leek Parmesean Turnover which sounded wonderful and tasted even better--pure, melt-in your mouth goodness. Paired with a top notch cortado, it made for an ideal afternoon snack. I would have sat and lingered longer and read, but seems like the word is already out --with its ample seating, it was pretty crowded mid-afternoon, and felt I should surrender my seat to the people I saw peering around anxiously while waiting on line.
My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to have some coffee and do work and Devocion was around the corner from our hotel. I really enjoyed the coffee and pastries. We got one of their new coffee specials which was delicious, it had agave and we both got an iced and hot one. I got the Dulce de leche pastry which I loved! Get it warmed up! My boyfriend got a leek pastry and it was also really good, he got 2! Overall good coffee. The seating is minimal and the seating is kinda uncomfortable but the coffee and pastries made up for it!

Came in on a Tuesday afternoon. There were a lot of people inside working at the tables, so I ended up ordering an iced oat milk latte to go. The coffee was nutty and smooth. It was more of a subtle coffee flavor compared to others I've had. They didn't stuff the cup with ice. The oat milk provided a very creamy consistency. They have sugar on the side to add at your disposal. I didn't see the types of milk they had, so I had to ask. Oat milk alternative was an additional 75 cents. read more

I got a cortado which was bitter. I wanted to love this place. It's super cute and has great space, but just expensive pretty bitter coffee. read more
there was a crazy long line when i came on the weekend. can't say i understand the hype :( it is a super super cute open space but my mediocre taste buds can't differentiate their coffee with my blue bottle beans that are nearly expiring at home. very fair price and great natural lighting indoors!!!! the line might be long but service was quick too!! read more

cool place to sit n chill; theres no matcha or chai so its just coffee and a couple of teas and aromaticas super cute interior though! cozy, green, and warm read more
Devocion is a big and airy coffee spot, especially when considering real estate prices in Brooklyn. The vibe is relaxed and friendly with beautiful plantings and well-spaced tables and seating. The guava croissants, regular croissants, dulce de leche sweet offerings as well as the savory leek pastry were all very tasty. I appreciate that the server explained that the macchiato I was going to order was the classic Italian teeny cup so I switched to the larger latte and admired that the heart shaped design kept its form until the last drops. It was nice that they had a water station which was easily accessible. read more

This is a cozy plant-filled coffee shop with seating with outlets. The sparkling cascara drink is a fizzy fruity coffee drink, which is great if you like the fizz but don't want the bitterness of the taste of coffee. read more

Upon entering the first thing you will notice is that this coffee shop is unusually beautiful. There is a circular elevated platform surrounded by plants in the center of the huge space. The cappuccino and croissant are excellent. The vibe is good as this place is always humming. read more
I don't know how every Devocion location is set up with beautiful greenery and nice wooden chairs, but they really got their aesthetic down. Just walking in makes you feel happier, and their coffee/pastries do not disappoint. They only downside is limited seating because this is probably one of the nicest coffee shops in downtown brooklyn, so they're usually busy. If you wanna hang out and work or chill, it'll be hit or miss. But don't let that stop you from enjoying their goods to go! Ft Greene park isn't too far away if the weather is nice. read more

Gorgeous space, fast, friendly service! Stopped in for an afternoon iced oat latte on a warm day. If you're in the area and looking for a space to unwind for a moment, I'd highly recommend Devoción. You know me, I'm on the go so I didn't stay but the space is perfectly set up for a coffee date, catch up with friends, solo time to read/work/study or order and be on your way. read more

This place was great! The look and vibe are fire. Coffee was good as well. I just wish they had more outlets near the tables. Perfect place for a coffee date or to get work done. The lines can be long but they move pretty steadily. Will definitely be back. read more
I've heard good reviews about Devocion and since my SO is a coffee lover (more than I am) I decided to showcase my neighborhood to him by taking him to Devocion. The green plants and natural lighting adds a nice ambiance to the coffee shop and since Devocion sits on the corner you're also able to grab a seat and people watch. The staff was kind and efficient. I ordered a latte and (in my opinion) the latte was okay. I don't consider myself a real coffee drinker so my disappointment began when I was informed that they didnt have any real flavoring. It's okay, I wont let that take away from my review. My main objective was to see my SO's review and he did not complain about his coffee. Instead, he was more disappointed in the fact that he was handed a cold, hard slice of banana bread and had to request for the banana bread to be heated. Therefore, I say yes to the coffee but no to the baked goods fix. After "slightly" heating the banana bread it still did not taste of good quality. I wouldn't go out of my way to return and I would not recommend this coffee shop to anyone unless they were in the area. read more
After a lengthy trip from LaGuardia Airport to Brooklyn, we stopped at Devoción for coffee and a guava croissant. There are several plants throughout the coffee shop, and the atmosphere is lovely. Although Devoción doesn't utilize sauces or syrups in its lattes, simple syrup is available if you wish to sweeten your beverage. The guava croissant I ordered was really delicious, buttery and flaky, and the iced latte I ordered was fantastic without any sauce or syrup. I'm eager to return to this coffee shop in the future. read more
Had coffee and breakfast at Devocion on Sunday morning. Gorgeous space and solid coffee, but the massive crowd and higher prices impact the appeal. Quality: I enjoyed both my Nitro Cold Brew, which I was impressed worked so well even without added milk, and a tasty Parmesan & Leek Croissant. However, I felt the prices were a bit too high. Fine for a treat, but I could not justify regular visits. Quantity: Only one size pour, which was a little small. Value: $5.50 for a Nitro Cold Brew. $6 for a Parmesan & Leek Croissant. Ambiance: Devocion is located in Downtown Brooklyn, on the corner of a high-rise building. It is a beautiful space, so it is not surprising it draws and keeps a crowd. It has tables along the floor to ceiling windows, and a center space surrounded by plants. Comfortable chairs and calming music set a perfect tone. Crowd: Always more people than seats. Service: Fast service, needed some clean-up help. Parking: Tough parking in the area. read more

I can't find the link to a list of best coffee in every state, but this location made it onto one of them. I'm not a big nitro cold brew connoisseur, but I really do taste that creamy smooth finish here. I also tried my first Cascara here, that was trippy! read more
This place is super cozy. I came here to kill time (I thought my yoga class was at 7am but it was actually at 8am lol). The barista was super nice and let me in around 6:55am. I ordered an aromatica which is basically a tea infused w fried fruits. It was delicious! I also like how this place iss super overpriced like most spaces in DTBK. Also, the plants are real! read more
Good coffee. Good vibes. There's a lot of seats for people to get some work done but it does get full pretty quickly. That being said, people do shuffle around so not impossible to find a seat. They have wifi as well. Lots of outlets to recharge your electronics. Generally, it's very quiet, calm, and they don't blast loud music. It's a good space for when you can't work at home anymore. read more
Honestly amazed by this place from beginning to end. The vibe of this place is awesome; mix of a clean modern atmosphere with lots of intentional decor that makes it so unique, the walls, the tiles and the "urban jungle." The staff was super pleasant and helpful in giving me good descriptions of the coffee. My only qualm is the price, but you truly get what you pay for so it's worth it if coffee is your thing. PS dogs are allowed inside. The drinks/menu: there was a fair selection of standard coffee and espresso selections. They had pour overs and some other options for non coffee drinkers. Fair selection of sweet pastries and only a few savory things on their menu. 1. Pour over - (5/5) - such a good cup of coffee. Brewed with the Kalita and a smaller cup (12oz). Need to ask their recipe next time around. Based on this, I would say the best beans I've had to date here in NYC. 2. Leek and cheese croissant - (4/5) - would have been better heated up but still very good. Long story short, find me camped out on their leather couch. read more

No flavors!?* ohh because they are NOT needed Stopped at Devocion on my way back to my apartment (as a tourist) and ordered a medium hot latte with a pump of caramel. To which the cool She-Ra wearing host replied we don't have flavors. OK I'll take a standard latte. They don't have flavors because the latte is so good you don't need any! Not only are the drinks good but there's ample space to work and sit down for a coffee or bring your laptop. While on the expensive side (hey it is Mew York) you can tell they use quality beans in their drinks and it's well worth it. I'll be back tomorrow or next time I'm in New York! read more
Devocion is a great addition to coffee shops in the Downtown Brooklyn area. It's by far the most aesthetically pleasing place to grab a latte and sit with a book to relax. Devocion boasts some of the "freshest coffee on the planet" sourced direct from Columbian farmers and roasted in the US. You can tell they are thoughtful about their beans and where they're sourcing from. They have a great selection of baked goods, and the most weirdly delicious croissants. I recommend the plain and guava. As for coffee, I love my typical cold brew (even in the winter months), but their espresso and brewed coffee won't disappoint. If you're in the Downtown BK hood, come through! read more

The interior is stunning. The windows are huge and let in a bunch of natural light and there's legit trees inside (or very large plants). Their coffee is great too! I don't drink much coffee but know a good latte when I have one. Saw a bunch of people sitting just chatting or working - it's a really nice place to just hang out and catch up with a friend. read more

This place is beautiful and the staff was very friendly. I do not love iced coffee, I much rather have a steaming hot cup of coffee whether it's warm or cold. However, the barista suggested I try the nitro cold brew and I'm so happy I tried it. Delicious! Super fresh and truly a joy to consume. The atmosphere is welcoming and you kind of feel like you're among the jungle with studious New Yorkers surrounding you with technology - ok so maybe not the jungle but you get it! Definitely give this place a try. read more
This coffee shop has certainly earned my "devocion," as I love everything from its great coffee to its beautiful interior space to its exquisite latte art. I was never addicted to coffee until I joined a firm that's near this location, but I feel fortunate that Devocion is nearby to facilitate that journey. The interior is beautiful, with an open floor plan, tall ceiling, greenery, and large windows bringing in ample natural light. This alone makes me wish I had more of a "work from home" type of job so I could spend the day working here while sipping a cappuccino or two. But I must say my favorite thing about this place aside from its great coffee is the fresh selection of pastries - not a large one, but their croissants are very fresh, flakey, buttery, and usually are still warm when you get them! The best is when they have guava and gruyère croissants... they are to die for! Overall, a very strong coffee shop all around. I hope they continue to stay as awesome as they are. read more

Take all my money devocionnnn!!! This place is my fav go to coffee shop in Fort Greene, I get my beans from here, and it's a place I bring anyone who visits for a few reasons: -the interior is stellar!! Their floors, plants, lighting... all so vibey! They have some loungey seats and some tables by the windows which are nice if you have to work etc. some of the seating is a little crowded however -the coffee is really really good. Fav roaster I'm brooklyn. This is reflected in the price though and I always cringe at how much I spent when I leave. Also note that buying a bag of beans does not get you a free drip. -their pastries are bomb. I always get their parm leek when I go in!! read more

Love the plants in the middle of the cafe. It was such a relaxing atmosphere. I've been here a couple times to study. Lots of seatings and outlets with pretty fast wifi. Just make sure to bring a sweater if you're gonna stay here and study or do some work because you will freeze. Cashless establishment. Friendly staff. I really like the aromaticas. The windows are a bit distracting though because a lot of cute puppies passing by all the time. read more
