I really enjoyed my dinner here last night. There was a wine tasting going on, so we started off with free wine which was delicious! The service was a bit slow, but the food and drinks were outstanding. I ordered a strawberry rhubard cocktail and it was really good, and very unique. We got the mussels as an appetizer, and I would definitely recommend them because the sauce is out of this world. We used it for the bread they gave us too! The salmon caesar salad was great! I've been here 3 times now and definitely recommend eating/drinking outside! the inside is nice but the outside is awesome, much larger than I would have expected and sundays they have live jazz music! FYI sunday is the brunch menu I think until dinner time but they have a decent variety and the sangria is delish! read more

Fun outdoor patio! One of the only ones in this area. I've been for evening drinks as well as the sunday Jazz Brunch. Huge breakfast portions and the waitress was very friendly. Was very relaxing on a sunny day listening to the live band. We will definitely be back! read more

Devlin's far surpassed my expectations the first night we went in. My date has lived within a mile or so of Devlin's for a few years but, for some reason, we never checked it out. So one night we used OT to see what would be close and offer a reservation...Devlin's. Double checked Yelp. Check, let's go. First off, the place is unique. Two sides to the place. One lower ceiling, one higher ceiling (reminds me of an old bank in terms of look). Some nice semi circular booths. The service was awesome and the manager came over to check on us. Not sure what his name is but, since he was Irish, I will call him Seamus. :-) He was super nice and really seemed to care if things were good, which they were. Had a burger on a nice brioche. Awesome. My gf is a vegetarian and there were some nice options for her, not just salads and pastas - stuff with kale, sprouts, all that sorta veggie stuff. Since then we have been back to try brunch - fantastic. The benedicts are awesome. The bloodies are excellent and the service has always been great. Last week I went in with a friend and ordered the hummus and veggie board or whatever it is and was so pleasantly surprised. Reminded me of the quality of a Mediterranean place. Totally unexpected for an Irish like pub/restaurant. Since then I have told several people about Devlin's and it's always going to be on my go-to list. read more

After living in Brighton for 1.5 years, we finally visited Devlin's and ended up going twice in one weekend. First for nice post-workweek Friday night dinner, and then we were back on Sunday morning to try brunch. My husband and I really enjoy that there is a nice restaurant in our neighborhood with great food and drinks that we can walk to and not drive. I hadn't been to Devlin's for about 3 years. It used to be really good w/eclectic dinner items a delicious salad w/salmon. I went w/three friends two weeks ago and the food was terrible. I had a burger and the bun tasted like a vanilla cupcake...very sweet. The Caesar salads we had were soaked in dressing. Ahh.. a no salmon option to go on a salad. The ice cream sandwich (though the waitress said otherwise) was made w/ice milk. Brunch used to be really good too but I won't risk the waste of money. read more

Devlin's is definitely the classiest spot in Brighton. It offers something different than the rest of the bars in the area (bright beer garden, green briar, last drop, joey's). They have really good food and a great selection of beers on tap. I have been here countless times and never had a bad experience. At night on the weekends they have a DJ playing some good music. The prices are pretty reasonable for what you get. They have a lot of tv's if you want to watch a sporting event as well. read more

Best Value! Go to the pub and order some of the smaller dishes. None of them are over $9.00 and the portions are huge. You can also get this outside on their patio. It's been a while since I've been to Devlin's and my wife and I just stopped in during the Tuesday Jazz night. We sat at the bar and had a great meal. The half-orders were a generous portion and were prepared beyond what we could have expected for the price. A great value and a nice setting with the music in the backround. What made it even better? A bartender who actually made us feel special! Not only did Raffey make a great martini but he was just the right combination of attentive, proffesional, and friendly. I want to love Devlins, I really do! It has the nice patio, I can walk to it, it's affordable and it has a decent beer/wine list. But Devlin's has other idea's. The food is BORING! Every once in a while they'll throw something new in there, but nothing exciting. I was there recently, on the patio, enjoying a lovely summer afternoon when the patron next to me stated, "Excuse me, there's a NAPKIN in this mojito that you just delivered to my table. May I have a new drink?" Gross, inexcusable and down right weird. I love the patio, it makes you forget you're in the city, but it's not enough to make up for the other qualities that are seriously lacking. Step it up Devlins, for everyone's sake. read more

I went for brunch in August and was not impressed by the brunch food we ate, pretty basic. Patio seating is nice though - specious, sunny and they have a bar right there. Unfortunately, our server - Genevieve D overcharged my card for $10. I called the restaurant and found out that managers are available after 2 pm only. However, one of them returned my call and explained that he will research and call me back. I waited for two weeks and nobody called me back. Luckily, Amex refunded me after I disputed the charge. I went on a Wednesday night and they were busy so I understand the service speed but the server was still not very interactive and was not thrilled when my sister and I only ordered water and apps. Food was decent. Nachos were bland and I have had better calamari. The rest of the menu didnt look to inventive or exciting which is why we got apps to share. I am shocked Devlin's only has 3.5 stars on here! We live right up the street and this is our go-to place no matter what time of day it is. More frequently we go for dinner, but we most recently tried their Sunday brunch. We have never had a bad meal or negative service. Follow them on Facebook because they are always posting their specials, different menus and events they're holding. I believe they have some sort of entertainment almost every night. There are two bars - one to the left and the one to the right is with the dining area. Drinks and food are affordable, well proportioned and yummy. You can get full menu at the bar and they always give you the option of a full size dish or half size dish. A few times we went for beers and apps - love their apps! Havent been able to use their outside patio yet but hope to when the weather gets nice. read more

Then we watched a couple get seated, and handed a full menu. 15 minutes later, our waitress finally came over to our table and said we could not order anything. We got up and left. My friend and I tried Devlin's again after speaking with the general manager about our previous visit. Our experience inside the restaurant was wonderful this time. The food was excellent, the new early evening appetizer special deal that they have is fantastic (5-5-5), and we even split a scrumptious dessert. I recommend checking it out! I heard that they have a new trivia game on Thursday nights at 9 and I'm looking forward to trying it soon. I am confident that the new general manager is turning the service around. read more

Although the menu at Devlin's read amazingly, the food turned out to fairly lackluster. I was disappointed with their brunch. The visual aspect of the atmosphere was very nice, however the place was a little loud, even though it was nearly empty. read more

WOW! Their desserts are the bomb dot com. I got the strawberry tres leches cake and my friend got the popcorn creme brulee - both of which were some of the best desserts I've had ever! The servers were also very friendly and charming which is always a plus ;) The rest of their food such as the calamari and tuna sashimi weren't the most spectacular tasting things I've had, but the cute outdoor brunch area with the music definitely makes this a wonderful weekend brunch spot (while it's warm of course)! read more

Great food. I went here two years ago and the food was acceptable. I came today and really enjoyed all parts of my meal. The steamed bun appetizers were right out of a good Asian restaurant. My chicken was well seasoned. The mac and cheese side dish was very tasty. My brownie was warm, rich and moist. Dinner was marred by incredibly incompetent service. Our drinks arrived well after our appetizers. We had to wait a long time to order our entrees. We had to ask for water three times before we got it. Our waiter walked by us several times as if we were not there. The waiter never checked in to see how we were doing. We ended up getting dessert menus from the hostess rather than wait for our waiter. The delays in service added a good hour to our dining experience. read more
