I'm not even sure where to start this but here goes. I went in to see Dr. Woods back in 2014 for a couple of stops. Well it turned out that both needed to be removed and had some that were pre-cancerous that just need to be sprayed. Got lucky that he got all of it both times but still hurt during the healing for a couple of days. The lesson to learn is wear and SPF50 or greater sun block and even a hat would be good. Carlie Fox is whom I visit for for when I think I might have something and don't want to wait to get in, she has worked her schedule to help out. I have several pictures from a couple of treatments I would be willing to show so that you get things check early and wear sunblock and a hat when out doors. read more

Saw Dr. Woods today, absolutely fantastic! I was concerned with a suspicious looking mole, turned out to be a seborrheic keratosis, which is completely harmless (what a relief!). I was lucky enough to get a same day appointment and did not have to linger in the worry. Wonderful front desk staff, wonderful assistants and the office is immaculate! I would recommend this facility and especially Dr. Woods (the other doctors might be just as amazing, but I was only privy to his treatment), they also perform some cosmetic dermatology. I have seen Carlie Fox, PA-C next door at The Skin Ritual. My experiences have been very pleasant and positive thus far. The front desk staff and the medical assistants are always professional, kind, and helpful. Carlie is absolutely fantastic and I trust her 100% with my skin! This place is a racket. I scheduled an appointment in November to have a painful nodule on my forehead examined. The PA explained that is was a cyst, scheduled me for a minor surgery to remove, and charged me for the appointment. After waiting 2 months I went in for the surgery, but when Dr Rkein examined, he said it was not a cyst and that I needed to schedule an ultrasound before they could do anything. Again, they charged me for the appointment. I disputed the charges since they should have sent me for an ultrasound the first time I saw them, but the office manager refused to waive the charges because "I had seen the doctor" read more

I had my very first dermatology visit at this place and Dr. Ty Nielson is so amazing!! I had some sketchy moles that needed to be looked at and he explained to me what I needed to know about them. I had one removed. I'm not the best candidate for needles... but I didn't feel a thing! After numbing, that mole was removed with not pain in the process! First time I went there and had troubles with stuff they had said were ok over the phone. Today I go in after making an appt for my son on Friday and they say theres no appt!!! I had been calling them for two days before making the appt and no answer. I finally got an answer and they gave me three different options on times I could bring my so in today....and today when I was there they said they are boomed until April! I went here the first occasion and had a very pleasant experience with the entire staff. My second appointment I needed to cancel the day of due to becoming very ill and I was going to have a procedure done. I did not want to have a problem during the procedure, nor did I want to share whatever it was that I had. I received a bill in the mail for cancelling on such short notice. I work for a physician myself and understand cancellation policies, but honestly to take a $50 cancel fee over what my procedure would have cost, the referral business that I had waiting to come in...it's sad to think that $50 is more important than a client. so I have cancelled my upcoming appointment and will find another business that values their clients more than the dollar. read more

This is a very busy and large practice, so I was not expecting to be treated with such great customer service. The receptionist was so flexible with me. I accidentally paid my copay with my cc instead of my fsa card. She didn't give me a hard time when I asked her to cancel the charge on my cc and rerun it on my fsa card instead. The MA Mariah and PA Tyler were great also. Mariah got me back to the exam room quickly and Tyler did a very thorough job examining my skin and educating me about what he found. I really used to love this practice but I have noticed the busier it gets, the more you become just a number. I experienced absolutely no call back on a biopsy taken with the results from the lab. I had to call in after three weeks of not hearing anything. They then told me, the had gotten it a week earlier but nobody actually called me. Then I went in for a skin check last week, had some questions about my acne regimen I just started. If you know acne, as a female, it stinks bottom line. I've called in three times since and here I am, a week later with no answers to my questions and my skin is getting worse. I felt that this doctors office was a bit more genuine in the past but as it's grown and gotten busier, I feel they don't care once the patient leaves because I struggle to get any phone calls back on the issues I am having. read more

I have seen both Dr. Woods and Dr. Wing for two separate issues. While Dr. Wing was treating me for the first issue, my skin wasn't responding to treatment like we had hoped. I called and left a message for the medical assistant, and to my surprise, Dr. Wing himself called me back. He had multiple detailed questions for me, and didn't want the information to potentially get lost in translation. It was a real refreshing experience to see a doctor care to the point of calling me back himself! Towards the end of my conversation, I mentioned a second issue going on. Dr. Wing responded with saying he didn't want me to wait until his next available appointment, and that Dr. Woods had some openings sooner that I could get scheduled for. He reassured me that I would like Dr. Woods, and that he actually specializes in the area of my second problem. Dr. Wing made a fantastic recommendation! I can definitely say that my entire experience at Desert Sky Dermatology has been fantastic! The staff is courteous, helpful and always smiling. I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes (usually closer to 5) before being called back for my appointment. If I had to find something to complain about, it would have to be how fast the medical assistants walk when taking you back to the room! It's hard to find a dermatologist that actually listens to your issues. After battling with skin issues for over a decade, Dr. Woods cured my acne within a few appointments with him! Dr. Woods is a young guy which means he is extremely knowledgeable about new treatments in the medical field. I never feel rushed and he always makes sure I leave with all of my questions answered. I'll be returning to him for a DermaPen treatment to soften the appearance of some mild scars that I have gotten throughout the years. He never tried to upsell me on laser treatments, because he knew it wasn't needed for my skin. I saw Dr Woods yesterday. They were able to get me in as a first time patient within a day. Showed up and noticed that the office was very nice and well organized. Short wait as I filled out their first time patient form online before arriving. Once I was taken back Dr Woods came in within 5 minutes, this guy knows his stuff. Made sure to answer all my questions and concerns. Very personable and we talked a lot about things unrelated to skin care. One of the reason I went to see him was for some plantar warts that have been bothering me and have been impossible to get rid of. He wasted no time in treating me with the most aggressive treatment for plantar warts. I couldn't be happier with my visit and I would definitely recommend seeing Dr Woods. read more

I returned to see Dr Woods after the experience I had with him and his staff five years ago. When I returned this time, I was equally as pleased. It is unusual to find an excellent doctor in his practice that also has great bedside manner and is very professional. I had to have a couple of spots removed and he did it right there in the office. I had to call back with a question later in the day and they still returned my call that afternoon.
