James Zukowski (I believe he's one of the owners) came out and did the inspection. I was pleased with him and the inspection he did. We discussed having JJ&B do the necessary repairs and also providing the regular ongoing maintenance to the pool but we never finalized anything; I expected James to contact me later with pricing and other details. A few weeks went by and I hadn't heard back from James so I sent him an email; he never responded. I then called and left a voice mail; he never responded. Needless to say, I found another company to handle things for me. Why a 1-Star rating? The lack of communication is one thing, but today I received an invoice for $330 for two months of pool service. JJ&B never provided any service -- in fact, the pool has been drained for weeks now. Any company with the audacity to bill a person for service not rendered is not worth dealing with. Maybe it's not audacity in this case; maybe it's just plain laziness, lack of professionalism, and stupidity. In any case, I'd stay clear of these people!

I reached out to multiple companies who were unresponsive, rude, or didn't service my area, since we live in the La Quinta Cove. Sergio was extremely prompt to reply and gave me a quote via Yelp. He was on time to the appointment (so rare now-a-days!) and also called when he was here. He was extremely polite, professional and knowledgeable. He was able to walk me through everything he was doing to clean our filter and fix our pool pump. Everything…read morewas alright at first, but during the last couple of months, there was algae present, even the next day after the pool was cleaned. I tried to address this with Gustavo, and he just said--turn up your pump--which I did, but it did not help. I tried to call Jose, but he didn't return my call. The last time Gustavo came, I tried to bring up the algae again, but he got an attitude, said I quit and walked off the job leaving the gate wide open and leaving me with a green pool on 4th of July weekend, with the grandkids coming. Not very professional. I finally talked with Jose after that incident, and he told me that they had stopped shocking the pools during COVID because of the prices, and he suspected that was the reason for the algae. He did recently increased his prices--which was not an issue for us--it's about quality--but it still doesn't include shocking. Gustavo never informed me that they were not shocking the pool and didn't even offer it as a cost add on. Be sure to get references when you select your pool service, that way you can avoid unnecessary frustration. Highly disappointed in Jose's Pool Service.
