We just had our windows installed yesterday and their service was excellent. The crew, Jose, Alonzo, and on the last day Gabriel were on time, very polite, and very professional. They were careful to cover everything inside the room they were working on and they never stopped moving. They even helped move furniture and remove existing blinds. They cleaned up after each room, sweeping floors and removing the plastic covers from the furniture. Of course, the installation turned out to be on the hottest day of the year, so we supplied some Gatorade. Didn't want anyone passing out! They were in the sun and the heat all day. Overall good sales experience with Desert King. They didn't try to upsell me on anything I didn't want, answered any and all questions I had, and explained and showcased the different products and the differences between them very well. I got three Anlin windows and one sliding glass door and out of the multiple bids I received, Desert King was the most economical option for the products that I wanted. They arrived way faster than expected and scheduling installation was easy. David and Doug came on installation day and exceeded expectations with their cordialness and honesty. Sales man was good and sold me a almost $2,000.00 window. The bad stuff: They called and sent a text to tell me that my window was in and that I needed to call to schedule an install date. I called and left messages I was told Jonathan would call me back and I did not receive any calls for 5 days. I called back and was connected with the CEO apparently of the company and he had my window installed the very next day by what he claims was his best installer Jose. Jose on Alonzo came out they did show up on time and they put the window in and after they got done it looked good over the next 3 days I went out to my backyard to find that all of the caulking Around the window they had just installed was all bubbled and there was foam all the way around the window that was squeezing out. I called and left a message for Veronica on Thursday and she said she would take Anne forward it over to the proper department. Thursday afternoon comes no call Friday all day no call try to get ahold of the company again this morning and no one answers their phones. So I have been forced to write this review on Yelp instead the installer encouraged me to take and write a review about how good and how great of a job that they did and that would determine if he would want to come back to my home if I was going to do anymore of my windows. After this experience I'm not so sure that I would tend to recommend or use this company again I paid $1999 for 1 bathroom window. It looks terrible and I really feel that this company needs to step up considering I paid in good faith and they should take and follow up whether it is good bad or indifferent but they don't. I'd save your money and I would not recommend this company. I'm hoping after this honest and truthful review at least someone takes and calls me back to come out and look at a very bad looking install. Update: Mikel the service manager came to look at the job that was done and agreed it wasn't the prettiest. He did remove the sealant and made it look a lot better. Apparently the sealant can expand up to 3 days and they obviously can't stand guard to see whats going to happen with it. They did come out to take care of the issue. I updated the rating to 4 stars since the service manager did come out and take care of the issue. Not happy and will never recommend. 5 days and I'm waiting for one more window to get installed. On the installed windows, there needs to be calking. On the windows that have caulking, have gaps there it wasn't caulked. And then a window doesn't fit, they spray foam so it kinda does, kind of. My back sliding glass door doesn't lock. And the windows I ordered, were not the windows installed. I have called 4 times now and it's been 2 days of nothing. They don't want to fix my window issues. read more

At the beginning of July, we had 8 windows replaced in our 1982 built home by Desert King Windows. They took out our 42-year-old single pain windows and installed NEW ANLIN CATALINA SERIES double pane windows. WOW what a difference it has made. The windows they installed had to be placed into various types of exterior wall conditions, including block, block and wood with pop-out stucco frames, and wood stud with T&G panels and casing trim around windows. We were highly impressed with Cindy Pearson (our Desert King Window installers assistant). Mike Pearson was the main installer (both have the same last name, so you draw your own conclusions, maybe married!!??). What a dynamic duo. These two really worked great together and complimented each other in many ways. This review is all about Cindy, as I posted a separate one for Mike already. Cindy is a very good communicator and listener. She has a gentle way of taking care of organization, clean up, and is very thorough ("complete with regard to every detail; not superficial or partial") in her work, just like Mike. Cindy worked in the background, getting Mike set up for success, keeping a constant eye on cleaning, and cleaning, and cleaning all the time. She really impressed my wife as well!! It was nice to see how they worked together and genuinely pulled for each other. Before I gave the final sign off on the paperwork, Cindy went through some notes she made about a couple follow up items they would send someone back for, like one was a screen I wanted to have a bit tauter in its frame. I would do a zero if possible. The replaced our patio door less than 3 years ago. We had the same opening for the prior patio doors and we started to notice water damage on our floor after installation. When we moved furniture, we noticed the casing and baseboard around the door were all rotted. I have been requesting service since June and someone was supposed to remove and re-install the door Saturday and they cancelled saying that it's a problem with the stucco surrounding which is impossible because there was never any problem with the 20 year old doors that were there before. This place is a joke. We just did an experiment spraying the doors and water just pours in when spraying the door and not getting any water on stucco which is their claim of the problem. It is not. Unfortunately, with this site, I can't show the video of 6 seconds of water, but if you are currently dealing with this company, please contact me and I will send it because the water just pours in. read more

The owner is rude and the biggest liar of them all!! We talked to several window replacement companies in the valley and settled on Desert King. The sales pitch was a total speech, which kinda turned me off initially, but we were definitely impressed by the non pushy approach. Yes they're proud of their windows, but they aren't so proud they needed to charge four times more than anyone. We are happy with our windows. The temperature difference is crazy in our 40+ year old home, and we hear less of the neighbors - bonus! It took much longer than they originally stated it would, but there was also a major glass and construction product problem that occurred shortly after we placed our order. The only thing I have a problem is that my slider door doesn't always close and lock the way it should, and the screen doesn't slide smoothly. We would recommend. read more

We purchased a patio sliding door from Desert King windows along with several windows for our home. The first door was installed incorrectly causing it to not close correctly. Desert King replaced the door as it was not repairable. When they arrived with the replacement unfortunately the Installer dropped the door causing large scapes and dents in the frame. The Installer named Mike informed us he would reorder another door. This happened several months ago, we have reached out to Desert King multiple times requesting an update on the replacement. To date our messages are not returned. We decided to go with Desert King as the sales person sold us on their reputation to stand behind their products, their tenure in the business, and their customer service. I would hope that they stand behind their warranty and take care of this issue as soon as possible. read more

Desert King was on our shortlist of potential contractors and after talking to Dan at the Home Show, we scheduled him to come out for a quote to replace all of our windows (19 plus a sliding door.) Working with Dan and the overall sales process was so much better than the other "big name" company who gave us a quote. He was on time, friendly, and most important - efficient. He answered all our questions and pointed out a few things that we hadn't thought of. The windows came in faster than expected and James was awesome working with us to schedule a convenient install date - we had to reschedule the install fairly last minute, but James was completely understanding and got us re-booked with no hassle. The installer, David, contacted us the day before & showed up exactly on time every day. They were friendly, respectful and total pros. They finished on time. The windows are fantastic - the noise reduction is amazing and they look great - not at all like some of the replacement jobs you see with massive flashing around the outside edge. Getting all new windows was a huge investment for us, and we are impressed with the quality of Desert King's product for the price. Our only real complaint is that they broke a window outside and didn't do a good job cleaning it up; there was glass along our backyard walkway, on the driveway, and scattered over the public sidewalk. Most importantly, they didn't tell us it happened so we could keep an eye out. I called Dan about it & someone came out that afternoon to clean up, but even after that, there was still a lot of glass. Jason, the owner, called to apologize which I appreciated, but it wasn't a great way to end an otherwise excellent experience. That's the only thing that kept me from a five star review, but even with that, I would highly recommend them. read more

I had 6 windows put in 2003. Desert King gave me a lifetime warranty. Now they want me to pay for new windows after I already paid $3600 for 6 crappy windows. The frames are cracked on 3 of the windows. They wanted to repair it by putting vinyl over the "top" of the cracked frames, to cover up the cracks. Johnny their window installation expert, couldn't cut the vinyl to correctly at the corners and "filled" in the missing space with white caulking, which he got all over my stucco, that I'll have to repaint. The screens also cannot be removed without bending them. Crappiest Windows, crappy workmanship. Crappy company that doesn't honor their warranty. read more

Just had all the windows in my home replaced by Desert King. The process was smooth and easy from the initial quote to install, and everyone involved in the process was friendly, helpful and informative. Jim came to my home for an in-person quote and provided in depth information about the product without any pressure to buy. Jim really took into account my lifestyle and budget when making recommendations on styles of window, energy efficiency, colors, etc. and was very knowledgeable about the window products. He provided a reasonable, detailed quote and followed up a few weeks later to make sure any questions I had were answered. I obtained a few other quotes from both local and national companies, but I decided on Desert King as the quote was reasonable and Jim gave me a lot of confidence that the company stood behind their product. The signing process was easy and I appreciated that they did not require a deposit up front. Windows are custom made, and that process takes time, so not being out money while I wait for the product was great. Jonathan then came out to do a detailed measure of the windows at my convenience and provided additional information on the installation process and made sure I approved all the work. The time frame provided for manufacturing of the windows was 12 weeks, and I was contacted at right about 12 weeks to schedule a time to install! Jose and his crew came out and installed 17 windows in just under 2 days! Jose was amazing, he and his crew were punctual, friendly, efficient, and thorough. I really appreciate that they showed care with my home by being as tidy as possible, and made a huge effort to limit the amount of time that window frames were open to elements, as it was 100+ degrees on both install days! Jose kept me informed of the entire process, and walked me through all the windows once installation was complete to make sure I was happy. Could not be more pleased with the installation process. Window replacement is a big investment in your home, but I'm so happy with the process and how my new, beautiful, energy efficient windows look! read more
