We had our new split-king adjustable bed delivered today, so this review is only on the delivery experience. Mario and Alex were on time per the original time window, but about 1/2 hour earlier than indicated in the tracking. (Luckily we were dressed.) They were courteous, and very quick--after they left, we realized they were so quick because they had done a half-assed job of assembly: 1. New frame was attached precariously to our existing headboard--bolts not tightened (just pushed against the wall) and on one side Mario didn't install a nut and washer. 2. They said the bolts didn't line up with the holes already drilled into the headboard, so they used only one bolt on each side. They did line up. My husband installed the additional bolts. 3. Connecting straps to hold the bases together were not installed. If you have delivery from Denver Mattress, be sure to supervise every step of assembly carefully. I did like the level and amount of email/text communication and the delivery information included a photo of one of the workers. That is brilliant and creates a greater sense of security. read more

Nice enough salesperson..... plan on meeting them again within a couple of years. We bought the Denver Mattress brand "Durango". This mattress was good for about three years. At about 3 1/2 years the mattress had more valleys than I could count. I'm 190 lbs. and my wife is 140 lbs, just average shape/size. We are those OCD people who rotate the mattress once every three months. Mattresses are expensive so you would think they would last more than 3 1/2 years. Most do!! The life span of an "average mattress" is estimated to be 7-10 years. I prefer to support local businesses but if their products are subpar I have to go elsewhere. Cannot recommend. read more

Overall good experience at Denver Mattress from shopping, to purchase and delivery. Started mattress search at Sears where little assistance was offered and Macys which sells rebranded mattresses making difficult to compare prices and was a lack of substantive information from sales staff. Was my first experience at Denver Mattress and I was pleased it wasn't high pressure sales and there was a good selection available. The mattress we selected was priced the same as at Macy's but the pickup of the old mattress was free saving $25 over Macy's and it included a $200 credit at the store that we can use for sheets, pad, etc. Our salesperson was relatively new but he was helpful and looked up information to help us compare products. When me told the Salesperson (his name was Anders...he's 6'7" and you can't miss him :-), that we just needed a queen set for our guest room, he was very respectful of our requirements (decent quality, good comfort, economical, but good enough that our guest would want to come back and visit again!). We came here with the intent of purchasing a mattress that day. Having done quite a bit of research, Denver Mattress had good reviews both in terms of customer service and mattress quality. When we walked in, we were immediately approached by someone in sales (the store was otherwise empty), who proceeded to walk us through a series of "tests" to determine which mattress would be right for us. You could tell he had probably given the short spiel about 482 other times that day, but he was very friendly and not too pushy (only slightly). The tests were all pseudo-science, but we used the time to assess the mattresses we were interested in. He could sense that we needed some time to discuss, and he gave us ample time to do so. Even as the store was closing, he sat down with us to talk about pricing. He honored a weekend sale price that had ended the day prior, and he gave us an add-on box spring package at no additional charge. About three weeks ago my husband and I purchased a King mattress and box spring at Denver Mattress (DM). We went to this DM and the one on Colorado because each has the same mattress in different firmness and we were debating which mattress to get. We also visited two other mattress stores. Once we decided what we wanted, even though DM already had the price beat from their competitor by $200, they were willing to match a former promotion that I had seen at the Colorado store. (Somebody forgot to take the promo sign down on the one bed I was testing out.). All I had to do was ask and they gave me another $180 discount. The sales guys are very pleasant. We worked with Hiuh and Tim when Hiuh wasn't there. DM has the best 'try the mattress out' deal. 4 months and you get 100% credit and you get a reduced credit after that but can exchange for up to a year. Also, if you live close by there is no delivery charge for an exchange. (We live about 3 miles away.). Lastly, our new mattress is so thick that I have to do a tricep press to get into bed. My husband mentioned that they have low profile box springs, and so I called DM and asked if we could exchange our box springs. Sure, what day works for you?' No charge. Lastly, DM gives a $200 credit towards their pillows and mattress pads. read more

I guess my experience will be a bit different from someone who is only "looking" for a bed since I knew I was going to walk out with one. He told me about all the levels of beds but I didn't feel like he was trying to sell me on an expensive bed. I told him my budget and he directed me to the line of beds that fit within that. He had me lay down on several beds, did some comfort tests with me that I'd never done before and we picked one out!! I told him I didn't need pillows, he didn't push. I left having purchased a bed and it was delivered THAT EVENING!! Allowed us ample time to try out each mattress and as we narrowed down what we wanted, showed us mattresses that had a similar level of support and feel. Splendid sales representation to include a pressure test that actually dissuaded us from the firm version we'd decided on to the plush. With the service, warranty and quality there, you can't do better. I do not give out 5-star ratings liberally as I am a pretty tough critic. Our recent experience at Denver Mattress Park Meadows was absolutely terrific. We walked in and were prepared for something like you might get at a car dealership. We were not planning to buy that day and were ready to fend off the assault of pushy, overeager salespeople. Much to our surprise we were politely and pleasantly greeted and told to look around. Only when we had a question, did someone approach us - Randy Beck. We didn't know it at the time but he was the store manager (we only found this out after completing our purchase). We had done some online research and Randy showed us what we came in looking for - BeautyRest Black. He let us try out the several versions they had in the showroom and then suggested we consider a few other options for comparison. To our surprise, these other alternatives were less expensive. They included brand names with which we were familiar. We had thought we had ruled out foam memory mattress because of an experience at a hotel that had one which we hated. Randy suggested we try out everything that was in the range of firmness and quality we wanted. To our surprise we like the new memory foam mattresses. We saw one that had a remote with it and inquired about what it was for. Randy explained the it was an adjustable bed. "Oh, we don't want that. We don't have a TV in our bedroom, never use any electronics there, and we rarely read in bed. We don't need that for sure!" Randy explained it adjustable beds were not for entertainment but for sleep quality. Really? We were skeptical. Until we tried it. WOW. What a difference! One of us (embarrassingly me and not my husband) is known occasionally to snore. And both of us - in our late 50's/60's - have joint aches. We felt that the super-comfortable, firm memory foam adjustable bed from a name brand manufacturer might just be the one. By this time, Randy had already spent over an hour and a half with us, listening to our feedback, observing our non-verbal impressions when we tried each mattress, and measuring our alignment/strength on each contender as he was courteously educating us in this not-too-easy-to-navigate purchase. By then we trusted him completely. "Can I show you something you might like from Denver Mattress?" Randy asked. Sure - at this point we were willing to take any advice he had. Though wary - how could a Denver Mattress brand beat the Big Boys (besides maybe price)? - we tried one out. Actually we tried two out, with both of them seeming superior in every way over the name brands we were considering. We ended up buy a split King (two Twin XL's) adjustable set by Denver Mattress - something we had never contemplated before Randy's superior knowledge and expertise was imparted to us. But it didn't end there. Our address was out of the standard delivery zone. Randy called the warehouse and arranged for delivery the very next day (otherwise we would have had to wait 2 weeks). We received a $500 discount on our purchase and an upgraded remote system for the bases. The checkout process was easy and even though the final cost was not insignificant -because of the choices WE made - we viewed it as an investment in our sleep and overall health. And we knew we would never shop around because of the fine service Randy provided. It's been about a week since we've had our mattresses. I wanted to wait to see how the delivery part went and whether the beds were as comfortable and well-suited for us as we'd hope. Delivery was a breeze! The two very strong guys who showed up were polite, competent, and mindful of our home, respectfully watching out for walls, furniture, and carpeting that could be dinged or soiled during the process. None of that happened and everything arrived fresh and new and was properly set up. We now know what sleep health means! The adjustable beds are terrific and we are both sleeping better than we have in recent memory. Randy deserves a ton of credit for all of this and yet we know behind him, is Denver Mattress as a business. We couldn't be more pleased with each of them! read more

Would not recommend their mattresses to anyone. I certainly will never buy them again. After roughly a year the underside of my mattress began to get holes in it from lifting the mattress a little to change the sheets. I notified the company and was told that it was my fault for "improperly moving the mattress." I have owned plenty of mattresses and never had them fall apart from making my bed. Sales was great. Mattress and boxspring are great. However the Delivery driver shows up 20 minutes early and I wasn't there because we had an APPOINTMENT between 10 -12. Then he only delivers the matt & box, taking advantage of my elderly room mate who knew nothing about the transaction. I then get home at 9:50 and catch the truck leaving. I tell the driver "I'm supposed to have a frame" and he looks at his clipboard and lo and behold he has it on the truck! In fact it was right on the back (where my items had been). So I believe this guy was trying to get my frame for himself because he knew what he was supposed to deliver from the manifest that he surely looked at upon arrival. Denver Mattress has succeeded in finding the balance between being helpful without being overly pushy. After my first mattress shopping trip in the fall (at a competitor) it took months before I was willing to go back out again and commit to finding the right mattress. Luckily for me, I tried Denver Mattress and had Barry helping me out. I think he sensed my reluctance to have a "sales person" following me around, so instead introduced himself, gave me some information on the mattress I was standing in front of as well as the general store layout, and then left me alone for a bit. He'd then check in with me occasionally, asking which mattresses I liked so far and offering recommendations on others to try. Even - get this! - showing me similar mattresses that were less expensive. When I had found a mattress I really liked and was more receptive to information, he was a wealth of it. And, it really felt like information to help me make the best decision, not like a high pressure sales pitch. I honestly hadn't anticipated buying a mattress right then, but I really liked the mattress and my experience, so I took the plunge. They were running a special where you could get 0% financing for 48 months. It was easy to sign up for and now I won't have to dip into my savings. Also, I wasn't sure when I wanted the mattress set delivered (they will deliver next day, sometimes even same day if you want them to) as I wanted my new bed frame delivered first. As long as I call before noon on a certain day, I was told my mattress set could be delivered the next day. When I found out my delivery window for the bed frame, I promptly called to arrange delivery of my mattress set. I had originally gone with the low profile box spring (5 1/2"), but when the bed frame was delivered, it was going to be too tall for my liking. I was able to call and change to the lower "bunky board" that is only 2 1/2". The delivery people were professional and fast! My new bed looks fantastic all put together and I can't wait to sleep on it tonight for the first time. I would highly recommend Denver Mattress if you're looking for a new mattress set. read more

My husband and I bought a mattress from Denver Mattress Co in Highlands Ranch (old University & County Line store) only 5-6 years ago and the mattress has completely caved in on both sides where we sleep. It's become a family joke and people who visit us actually lay on it to see how bad it is. For some reason we went back to the store looking to buy a new mattress. We did ask about the warranty and were told immediately that they did not keep any of the records from the old store (which incidentally became the new store) and that they rarely ever honor the warranties because you have to prove that the indents are more than an inch and a half deep. We were also told that it was probably just because our bodies and comfort levels had changed over the years. Really? The irony is that the salesman continued to try to sell us on mattresses in the store - specifically the Denver Mattress Co. brand - by telling us how extensive the warranty was on each mattress. The initial reason we visited this store was because my friend had just purchased a mattress there and at a great price, showing them a Groupon rate she'd seen on a Beautyrest mattress. I took the same Groupon in and the salesman then said that was a very low level Beautyrest mattress (even though in had the same coil rate & other specs of another plus mattress in the showroom) and that they wouldn't honor it. This guy obviously couldn't be bothered with us. I really just want a bed that lasts longer than five years and I'm willing to pay for it! And as convenient as this store is to our home, we obviously would not consider giving this store our business. ...guess we'll go elsewhere. 8 years ago we purchased a new bed (assy) from the same store. We had 2 impressions over the limit for warranty coverage. We recently dealt with Garret and he took care of everything for us to upgrade the bed and we ended up paying about $130. We were so pleased we purchased a new sectional next door @ sofa-mart. Tyler and his staff not only delivered out and picked up our old mattress but 2 guys helped me load some equipment i had been moving that day and took all our old mattresses for proper disposal. I purchased my mattress from a store in Aurora, but picked my bed up from this store. The guys that were working the loading dock were super friendly and knowledgeable. We forgot to grab straps to secure the bed to the truck (whoops) but the guys jumped right in with twine and tied down everything really secure. The 5 stars belongs to Randy Beck one of the store managers. He was so helpful and has intensive knowledge on finding the right bed for the right person. I was set on buying a thick pillow top. Randy kept trying to talk me out of it, then he showed me how to find the right bed for the right person. That is when I almost fell asleep. He knew I wanted a really good mattress and he took his time with me getting it. But that is not all. My matress and ero were to be delivered today. The delivery people were rude and didn't know what they were doing. I called Denver Mattress and someone else answered the phone because Randy was not on until later. With in 5 minutes my phone rings and it is Randy. He then did eveything he could to make it right and make me happy. He took time out of his day to come to my house and show me what needed to be done to my bed. He explained it so I could understand. Then he let me know that they would be back tomorrow afternoon. I did some homework on line and took advice from Consumer Reports to figure out if you are a back sleeper, side sleeper, etc., and then begin by looking at basic coil spring mattresses. Often they are perfectly fine and quite a bit cheaper than the higher end beds such as Sleep Number. That was the case for us and we chose the Doctor's Choice model for my 83 year old dad. Garrett was super nice and very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. He also didn't try to sell us anything we didn't need or want. I would like to add that the delivery people were friendly and pleasantly accommodating (one reviewer had complained about them, but my experience was positive). read more
