I ended up making the stain worse and thought the shoes were ruined. I was honestly pretty upset and wasn't sure what to do, so I checked Yelp and found Shoe Wiz. When I walked in, I was greeted by a gentleman named Sam. He was friendly, straightforward, and told me it would cost $35 to restore the shoes. He explained that he would repaint them and add a protective seal so they'd be more resistant to damage in the future. That sounded fair, so I left them with him. A week later, I went back to pick them up and I was genuinely impressed they looked completely brand new. I couldn't even tell where the repairs had been done. In fact, I was so impressed that I literally took off the older pair of UGGs I was wearing (they're about 3-4 years old) and asked if he could restore those too. He did, and they came out looking amazing as well. I've already told him I'll be bringing in my gray pair next, which are 5-6 years old, because at this point I fully trust his work. Sam is patient, kind, and clearly passionate about what he does. He even gave my daughter a lollipop and offered me some chocolate while we talked. The walls of his shop are filled with items he's repaired, and you can tell he takes real pride in every project. His attention to detail is excellent. Beginning with my experience with Faith, my sales person, who was attentive and helpful from start to finish. I called to reserve a pair of shoes that were waiting on me when I got off work to pick them up. (which was surprising given how many times I've been disappointed by layaway service at other stores). When I arrived, she educated me on some shoe care products in the interest of my preserving my purchase. And, not just simply making a sale. Then, her manager Mariah stepped up to check on me to make sure that everything was smooth and if I had further questions. No high pressure sales tactics.
