I was placing an order for Valentine's Day for a couple of business clients. I placed it online but forgot to add an extra bouquet to the cart. I called and I was able to add the additional bouquet. Customer service was just ok. Borderline rude, not particularly friendly. I was able to Zelle her for that extra bouquet so that was convenient and I appreciated that. I was told I would receive a picture of the bouquet prior to delivery or at time of delivery, I did not. No big deal, but just don't tell me you are if you aren't. I'm sure they were busy due to the holiday, but still. Lastly, I didn't expect the bouquet to look identical to what I chose online, but I felt it definitely wasn't as full, or have as many roses, as the picture. Looked like a lot more filler flowers were used. A little disappointing. (See attached pics). Overall, I might use them again but only if I couldn't find a better option in the area. read more

I ordered my friend some flowers to cheer her up - the ordering was super easy, and after I submitted my order, the owner followed up with a phone call to let me know she received the order and to contact her if I had any questions or concerns. The day of the delivery, she sent me a picture of the arrangement and let me know when they would be delivered. First off, to be fair, for Mother's Day I should have planned two weeks ahead. But I didn't. In foolish thinking, I assumed that I would be able to get a same-day, next-day, or even two-day delivery on flowers. I hope I have learned my lesson. I called at least 6 places in the area (I'm in the Bay Area, but my mom is near Downey). Hala's was the only place that was taking orders. I was shocked that their online calendar showed they could deliver on Saturday 5/9. The yelp reviews, though few, looked great. So I gave it a shot and placed my order online. Yes, my order didn't arrive on Saturday or on Sunday. And I spent 30 minutes Monday morning trying to contact every number and didn't get a response (as another reviewer mentioned). But I also texted one of the numbers with a copy of my confirmation email and then waited for a response... My mom texted me this morning with a picture of a beautiful arrangement she got after 9:30pm Monday night. She was elated and I was glad. Mother's Day celebration extended! ;) After the initial upset, I could understand how every other business that is open during this COVID-19 season, is jammed trying to fulfill orders on a huge holiday. Even though it wasn't exactly as I had "planned", I'm thankful that Hala's flowers came through to fulfill the order. The bouquet is beautiful. I can only think of what it took on the owner's end to try to keep the commitments to the many who had deposited their orders and gave her time to come through.
