This update is regarding the business owner's behavior following my original review. After sharing my honest experience as a customer, I began receiving messages on Yelp from individuals connected to or defending this business. I was also informed that a TikTok video was made discussing me personally (see screenshots). In that video, the business owner refers to me as "chewing like a f****** cow" and calls me an "entitled brat." My original review did not include any personal insults, it only described my experience as a paying customer. I also want to clarify the payment arrangement. I was given two options directly by the business owner: 1. Pay through the invoice link sent to me, or 2. Pay $100 cash at pickup. The person who accompanied me at the time can also confirm this. I did not request a discount or avoid payment. If that were the case, I would have accepted the refund that was offered. I did not. My concern was communication and consistency with what was initially discussed. The TikTok video claims I "decided" to pay at pickup. However, the email shows that this arrangement was acknowledged by the business owner herself. Customers are allowed to leave honest reviews about their experiences without being insulted or discussed publicly on social media afterward. Screenshots are attached for context. Parking is iffy since it's in a shopping center with limited spots when it gets busy. Stop by next time you need an arrangement, plant or cute Tchotchke. Chita is hands down the best florist I know and have grown to love! My husband and I were looking for a florist for our wedding and I came across Chita. We honestly hit it off! It was like we were just catching up as friends that haven't seen each other in a while and talking about random stuff. I love that she was honest with me about the flowers and which ones would provide me more value as certain florals that have thin stems, even though they look gorgeous in photos, you will likely only be able to use half of them since their stems are so delicate. Chita is really affordable as well which was one thing I was grateful for and she also does her best to work with your budget and provides honesty with which florals are increasing the cost and what florals would be solid substitutes but still fit the vision you have in mind. I was blown away by her expertise just alone speaking to her because we chatted a few times when I was shopping around for florists. She had all the items I wanted in my vision, such as pillar candles, florals in bud vases, low floor pillars, etc. Since I was firm with pillar candles and she rented them out, it was perfect. The thing that made her stand out from other florists that I reached out to for quotes was that she not only took my wants and created a vision out of it, but also went above and beyond and added in items that I did not even consider to my quote and talked me through each of them. Aalso does a mockup session with you a month prior to your big day so that she knows exactly what you are envisioning and that is included in the quote. Since we were doing bud vases, Chita offered to take my husband and I to the flower district in DTLA and we had a blast! We met up with Chita and her husband Sergio at her shop and carpooled together and caught up like longtime friends. Once we got there, we got the real VIP experience of what their day to day looks like. Chita showed us the vendors she uses, how she selects flowers, the florals that we will be using for our wedding, which ones fit our color scheme to give us an idea of what our florals would look like. Sergio is just as amazing, my husband and I couldn't stop talking about how well they work together as a team, they just get each other and really support one another. We love them as a couple and they are a match made in heaven! Now getting to Chita bringing our vision to life is a whole nother story, she has such a creative mind when it comes to flowers that it comes natural to her and she is brilliant at it! When we got to our venue on our wedding day, we were blown away by her creations, they were nothing like what we had envisioned but they exceeded it by 10000000x. Everything was beyond gorgeous! My husband and I also loved that her son was there to take photos of our wedding as he is super talented in photography. Chita, Sergio, and their son's talent really go hand in hand and I can't wait to see how far they go, because I know they are going to do amazing! If you are still thinking about whether or not to reach out, please reach out! It will be one of the best decisions you will make because it will be the focal point of your event or one of the best floral arrangements you have ever ordered! I've used Chita twice. Both times the arrangements have been AMAZING! My mother in law loved the roses and lilies she received and was very happy with the dia de los muertos vase arrangement I sent her for her altar. Service is impeccable! I get an email as soon as the flowers are delivered which eaes my mind since I've had horrible experiences with other florists. Chita and Sergio went above and beyond securing me an extra vase when they were sold out for dia de los muertos. They didn't have to do that, they could've just canceled my order and refunded my money but they put the extra effort in to source a similar vase so my order could be completed. I will continue to use Chita for my floral orders. My only request would be to do floral arrangement lessons as I am an amateur floral designer and would be so excited to learn from such an amazing designer. If I can give a hundred stars I would. After a bit of time has passed, which has been difficult, i'm glad I finally found the time to write this review. These flowers were for our mother's funeral service last month. Chita, from the bottom of our hearts thank you and your husband and entire staff for making the most beautiful flowers for our mother's funeral. The flowers spelled MOM and the O was in a shape of a heart, which was a gift in itself! Couldn't had been more perfect for that very difficult weekend. Everyone loved them! When we lived in Downey, my husband and I had ordered from Chita many times before. She was our go to florist. My husband even had a monthly auto order to have flowers delivered to me at home and each and every one was beautiful and no two were alike. Each were unique. She also made the flower arrangements for his birthday bash and it was a hit! It was definitely an easy choice and first person I thought of when it came to ordering flowers for our mother's funeral service. What really made Chita's special to me was their delivery person Sergio. When Sergio made the delivery no one was at home so instead of just leaving the flowers at the door he called me and explained the situation AND said he could leave a door tag regarding the delivery to be rescheduled at my friend's convenience but it was up to me to decide so I opted for the door tag.
