We ordered a bouquet for delivery on the website for Mother's Day. Florals came on the scheduled day and when there was no response from the doorbell, they contacted us to make sure a porch drop off was fine. We appreciate that we were asked before they dropped it off. Florals were so beautiful and fresh. We will be ordering again for our floral needs. read more

Where do I start?? This afternoon, my daughter showed me the corsages she bought from a different flower shop for my granddaughters' first Father/Daughter dance this evening. She was clearly sad and disappointed by the purchase. I took a look at them and they were horrible! I quickly got in my car and stopped by this little flower shop next to Pina Pizza and explained the situation. The lady who took care of me quickly went into action and said she would make corsages for my granddaughters right away. Oh my goodness. She was so lovely about it and made me so happy knowing that I (granny) could save the day!!! And on top of it, the price she charged was well below what my daughter paid for the first set she bought from the other florist. I could go on and on, but the bottom line is this: Please support this beautiful small business in Downey. They are kind and caring. read more

My friend Susan Foley passed away. Her son called me frantically Crystal I went to the flower Mart and bought tons of flowers. I just realized we don't know how to put them together ! What! I'm usually in charge of all the decoration needs for the Foley family. I'm known for doing synthetic flower arrangements but not Focal point funeral flowers, and on a rush ! Anything for my Susan . OK I'm coming. All I know is I walk to the Backhouse to a pool table full of , tons of flowers and 4 vases. I'm definitely gonna need to go get more supplies. I was limited on time so I went to the closest florist. Thank God a reliable florist that I have used before . I definitely needed a bunch of fillers, and the things that you don't think about. The mechanics of flower arrangements. You know the secrets of the trade . I let her know the situation and she was so helpful. She said you know most florist usually Don't sell you this stuff but I'm gonna help you out . Did she ever! She made sure I was covered and I went back a couple times. Next time you thinking about buying funeral flowers and you think they're too expensive you're wrong. I can't remember what the real name is but the tripod funeral flowers . You need so many flowers For those. I kept running out . My least favorite arrangement, but that was my own fault. Thank you for helping me out. You guys have everything ! So friendly and they've been around forever. I love these people #5Stars.ThanksForTheHelp. #DowneyForever read more

The service was great and the flowers were beautiful, I was happy with how the bouquet turned out. Great local flower shop.

Nice place. Went in to pick up a graduation lei and left with two money leis and a beautiful lavender fresh flower lei. The owner is no nonsense type of guy. The flowers on display and arrangements were very pretty and there's a lot of graduation plushies. There is a word of warning though: if you plan to buy a money lei he will want the amount of cash on the lei to be paid back in cash. So let's say a lei has 8 one dollar bills, he will want 8 dollars in cash that goes towards the total purchase price. His reasoning is that he can't charge on a card in exchange for something in cash. I took his word for it since I never bought a cash lei. I did have to drive to the bank though and return which kind of sucked. All in all a very nice transaction and a beautiful set of leis. I'm sure my daughter will love them. read more

Downey Chapel Florist - Beautiful arrangement! I highly recommend this local flower shop. exceeded my expectations. Thank you for your excellent service - Florists Near Me - Downey, California

Downey Chapel Florist recently delivered (2/10/16) a candy/balloon bouquet to our daughters. My dad, who wants/has nothing to do with the internet, went to his favorite florist where he lives in New Mexico. He told them what he wanted - to send a bouquet to his grand babies in California. While I'm unsure how the rest of the story pieces together, Downey Chapel Florist was eventually chosen to create a delightful Valentine's candy arrangement with two heart balloons. They spelled everything on the envelope/card correctly. The delivery guy was nice. Typing that makes me wonder if there has ever been a rude "arrangement" delivery person. ***a cartoon idea in the making...*** Most of the candy was all fresh. Except for a yellow bag of "Blenders" Skittles. It expired August 2012. The game on the back ended on 9/5/11. The heart lollipop expired in September 2015. Pah! Some of the other candy bars' expiration dates just happened to be glued over where the sticks held them. It is for this reason that I retracted an earlier 5-star review. If I know my dad, and I know him pretty well, he will probably request this florist for other occasions. I'm not going to lie to him if he asks me about the candy, but I'm also not going to complain. For flower bouquets, I'm sure they do excellent work. For candy arrangements, proceed with caution. Review #451 '16 Challenge #14 read more

I have never been so disappointed in a flower purchase. The almost $90 arrangement I purchased for my mom was a miniature of what was displayed on their website. I paid extra for the premium upgrade only to find they would add the mini 1 inch roses in their pitiful attempt to make it seem it was upgraded. The vase was tiny, smaller than a water bottle. Their website is a joke. They display a beautiful standard size arrangement and what they deliver is way smaller. They only use miniature flowers so do not waste your money and take your business elsewhere!! read more

Beautiful flowers & wonderful experience on the phone ordering, great employee, very nice & very sweet & helpful!!! Will definitely use them again! However, I ordered 2 arrangements for my mom, then my husband ordered the same arrangement for me. If it weren't for seeing the same flowers I ordered for my mom, I would have never known, but my bouquet was much smaller (more packed together), had no baby's breath, and no bow!! Not having baby's breath was fine with me, I loved the statis in it, but no bow!?! Like I said, the roses were beautiful, but such different arrangements for the same price. Just wanted to let you know. read more

I called and was able to reserve their last lei and even pick it up the next day. The lei was beautiful and the staff was friendly.

Pre-order a blue lei for graduation and it looked beautiful. Additionally, someone ordered a purple lei here for my graduation and it was fresh and bold in color. The leis stay looking good for days after pick up. The employee are very friendly and give advice in how to store the leis. read more

Ordered today around 10:30 AM. Requested same-day delivery between 2:30-3:00 PM. Went on without a hitch. My mom liked the bouquet very much. Thanks! Only thing... Between the fee, taxes and delivery... The priced hiked up $30 by the end of the order. That was a bummer to me. A year's worth of flower-worthy events/celebrations could probably get you a whole other 2 or 3 arrangements when you add up all these extra fees. Good quality though. Thumbs up! read more

I had the best experience buying money leis at this flower shop. Beautiful money lei for my granddaughters graduation. I ordered one money lei and a fresh orchid lei. Then when I went to pick it up, I needed one more money lei for my other granddaughters promotion. And it just so happened that there was an extra money lei in their shop. I was a very happy customer. I will continue to use them. Many thanks to you. read more

I put in a review for mothers day because i ordered a $100 bouquet for my girlfriend. Had it delivered to her work. They sent the flowers in a vase that wasnt in the picture for what i ordered. It looked like a 99 cent store product. The flowers were also wilting. Just now, 7 MONTHS LATER, i got a reply from the flower shop. They said we wish you would have contacted us if you were unhappy with your order, we have been in business for 25 years. No apology or attempt to satisfy me. This is no way to run a business. read more
