Absolutely horrible customer service. Dropped off cushions, pillows and fabric to be made. Owner Keith took materials on 4/25/36 and told me to send measurements to his email. Did same day, no return response. Called business told Keith would call back, didn't- did that twice. Sent another email with info and requested immediate response, none. Sent info on their website contact, no response. Called again and spoke with Tony who then said they couldn't do it with what I gave them, not what owner said. Knew fabric might not be enough and might need more. Then Tony said I dropped off 6 cushions, I did with other pieces, he didn't have them. Told them I was going to pick up my materials. Came today to find all my materials out of bags they were brought in with several pieces of cushion missing. They couldn't find them. Then said they didn't cut them or throw away. I never said they cut them, we did; but they did throw the smaller pieces away. Only a apology. Poor customer communication and service. Don't care about other people's property. I have been to Foam N Fabrics a few times over the past 15 years. My sister and I had some old, torn (but totally functional) vinyl kitchen bar stools reupholstered for our mom for Mother's Day one year. I think my sister had found them and back then it was only $90 per stool which we split. I have pictures of them from when we picked them up somewhere but they did a very nice job. I want to say this was like in 2007 or so. The second time I was here was maybe a year or so later. I found a foot stool with storage in an office trash can at work. The cleaning crew had left their cart in the hall and the foot stool was sticking up out of the trash can so i took it, LOL It had a tapestry fabric on it and was missing a leg. My house is done in leopard print so I picked out a leopard fabric and they reupholstered the foot stool and replaced the wooden leg for $35. I don't care that it doesn't match, I just put the wooden leg against the wall where it isn't visible, LOL The next time I came here was in 2020 which I know for a fact bec it was just a few weeks before the pandemic/shutdown, and I didn't pick it up for a year! I had this office chair that I paid $279 for at Lowe's in 2013, the year I started working from home, and it was just peeling away... still fully functional, but had to sit on it with a towel over the seat part, or it would really peel! I couldn't bring myself to throw it out, so I decided to take it in for reupholstering. I didn't pick it up for a year and I was shocked they didn't just sell it! It was supposed to be ready 3 weeks later and by then, everyone was closed. They joked that they were going to kind of miss that chair, LOL I paid $300 to reupholster the office chair which was more than what I paid for it originally at Lowe's! LOL Can you say #sentimentalfool? The most recent was in September. It's not done yet but I'm not in a rush for it but I have another office chair that a friend gave me. It was a very comfy vinyl office chair. I already had the one but I was living in my last house which had 3 bedrooms and I had a personal desk and an office desk (been working from home since 2013) so I moved the chair above (from Lowe's) to the other room and started using the vinyl one... then I got a new kitten and she destroyed it with her claws! :( I tried to cover it for a while with blankets and she just got under the blankets... It's not like I paid for it but I liked it and it was super comfortable! I was reorganizing the garage and I finally decided to take it in for reupholstering. I figured it would get it out of my garage for a bit, LOL It's going to be two-toned and it's going to look super nice when it's done! This place is high quality and is highly recommended! read more

He added zipper to clean fabric or replace foam cushion. I took on this project for a school, hoping to save some money. At first, I planned on getting two cushions--until I heard the price. Then I quickly downgraded to one because, well... budget life. (I also didn't shop around for quotes so isn't know what to expect --figured I'd come back if the work was solid.) Luckily, the price was great, especially considering the fabric is high-quality and built to last. The gentleman who did the work was excellent--kind, humble, and clearly skilled. We could not be happier with the cushions for our campervan's convertible dinette/sofa. Tony at Foam and Fabrics did an absolutely phenomenal job using fabric that we had brought to them, and then working off a set of drawings with measurements (since we didn't have the van built yet). We are both very Type-A but Tony and the Foam & Fabric folks took us in stride and were so friendly, helpful, straightforward and just generally easy to work with. We had picked a striped serape fabric and I was very particular about the direction of the stripes. Also, one cushion needed to have a curved corner, so we had to take measurements, identify the radius, and hope that was enough information to get it right. The end result was even better than I had expected. The cushions are beautiful, and the stripes line up perfectly - I particularly like how they located the stripes on the short edge of the cushion, so that when you're looking at them form outside the van, they look sleek and artfully done. The foam is great - they helped us select the right firmness and also advised on what was needed to achieve our sleek look (i.e. no dacron wrap which would make it puffy). Their prices were fair and more competitive than two other well-reviewed local places that I queried. And they got the job done faster than expected. My friend had been looking all over for months for an 11 foot zipper (don't ask) OK, I'll tell you....she needed it for a love seat cushion. She went to chain craft stores as well as fabric stores but no luck. Anyway, we needed to drive to Downey a few weeks ago so she looked up any fabric store places around there figuring that perhaps an old school type city & it's surrounding area may have an old school type store that would sell off-the-grid type stuff. Eureka! Foam 'n Fabric said "Yes!" when she called to ask. It's a little hard to spot this unassuming shop with its unassuming storefront but once you park in the parking lot & walk in you'll find it wider & deeper than expected. I loved that it looks like it's been there for a long time (because it has) & seemed to carry all things foam & fabric. We didn't have much time to explore but it would be fun to check it out sometime. Great customer service both on the phone & in person. The price was right too, $8.50 for the zipper & zipper pull. Great work at Foam N Fabrics. I took down some old kitchen chairs with the seat cushions blown out. The nice guy said the were really old due to the construction method, but they would be able to help me. A fair price was quoted and he asked if they could repair some wood damages for me to a seat back. I declined stating that someday I would do the repair myself. Once the custom work was done I got a call and went down the next day to pickup. They looked better than I imagined. I was so happy to see some family pieces almost 100 yrs old brought back to life and returned to my kitchen table. It wasn't until I got home and noticed they had performed the wood repair that I declined for free. Classy move gentlemen, classy move. It just so happens I am staining a rocking chair for our new baby's nursery and will definitely take it to them for a custom cushion. In the age of downloads, streaming and Amazon everything, face to face customer service is a lost art. I can say, that it is alive and well at Foam N Fabrics. I will be a returning customer. There are other places in bellflower I was recommended to, but when I went in for a quote, nobody was available to help me at that time. Foam N Fabrics was my second stop and I got immediate service. I have to begin this review by admitting that I am a very picky person. We had couches that belonged to my husbands grandparents re-done. They were 40 year old couches. I was hesitant to spend the money because, if you aren't aware, reupholstering is not cheap. But when I went in to inquire pricing, saw all the great Yelp reviews and had Keith (I think that was his name) explain to me how couches were once made and how they're made now, I went for it. They picked up the couches some time later and all in all, it took them about two weeks after pick up to bring my couches back to life. Back to me being picky...I've had to send back brand new couches in the past because of crooked seaming or puckering fabric, none of that here. Everything was perfect. I am so happy.
