I cannot recommend San Pedro Handbag and Shoe Repair enough. Gabriel is truly the only person I…read moretrust with leather. His work is nothing short of amazing. I wish I had taken a before photo because my bag was covered in stains + the handles were so dirty from years of use. Gabriel completely transformed it. When I picked it up, it looked BRAND NEW. The leather is clean, refreshed, and restored so beautifully. you would never know how worn it was before. The craftsmanship, attention to detail, and care he puts into his work really shows. If you have any leather bags, shoes or items that need cleaning, restoration, or repair, don't take them anywhere else. Gabriel is a true expert and worth every penny. Thank you for bringing my bag back to life!

BEWARE: Overcharged me and under delivered…read more Brought my favorite lace up boots to be repaired. The tongue was literally disintegrating. Charge me $120. Picked them up about two weeks later (that is not how long he said it would take - I was traveling and requesting the later pick up). He requires payment in advance, in full - this was a huge red flag to me, but because of the positive reviews, I let it go. Arrived to pick up the boots and the lace holes had not been cut in. So he did it while I waited. Turns out, the holes were too small for the laces. He damaged the end of the lace trying to get them through. Said I just need to work it a bit more but if it doesn't go through, he'd have to replace the metal rivets and charge me more. He was eventually able to get the lace through one of the holes and sent me home to do the rest. When I asked about the damaged lace, he told me I could tape it up or buy new laces. I got home to finish the job. Had to use my husband's tools to try and make the holes a little bigger. As a result, some of the leather started cracking off - is leather supposed to do that?? I'm so angry. In fairness, I did not call the owner back to give him a chance to fix this mess. I don't trust he would actually do it. I debated a long time before leaving this review. I don't like leaving such negative reviews without giving the owner an opportunity to make right. But, in this case, it didn't seem that he cared that the job was not done well from the outset - why should he do anything; he already has the money. Then saying he would have to charge me more so I could lace the boots? Seeing the damaged laces and telling me to just tape it or buy new laces? This is not someone who cares about the end product. I did buy new laces but the holes were too small for the these as well. I tried two with the smallest diameters I could find. It wasn't the laces. I recently moved to the area. My prior shoe repair person charges far less and would NEVER return the shoes to me looking as these did. He took pride in his work. The shoes always came back looking brand new. And, while not cheap (taking care of good shoes is not cheap), I never paid as much as I did at San Pedro Shoe and Handbag. Sadly, he's an hours drive, one way. May just do that in the future though. About the only positive with this entire experience is that parking is quite ample. Just thought I should warn you. Would strongly recommend AGAINST paying in advance.

The owner of this store is first a gentleman second an artist. He clearly knows his craft. I had many pairs of shoes that needed cleaning and repair along with belts and a handbag. All items meticulously cared for. They look great. So, if you are looking for a wonderful business operated by a professional and fantastic owner look no further, you are here.

I noticed this shop took over the old One Hour Photo that had been here for decades, but closed. It's in the CVS shopping center, right next to Noah's Bagels. I took my shoes in, the proprietor and shoe repairman came out from the back. He gave me a quote of $30 to re-glue both heels. I took them in on a Saturday. He asked me if Friday was okay? I said yes and paid in advance. He gave me a copy of my receipt and stapled it to the ticket. Not too talkative, but he's a busy guy. He has quite the workshop back there, behind the counter. From the front, you can see his work bench and machinery. When I came back, there was a line. I also noticed there was a significant volume of shoes that were repaired and ready for pickup. I gave him my ticket, which he used to pull the plastic bin my shoes were in. Yay, new glue. I'm happy. I noticed he repairs purses, so that may be next on my list. He also sells merchandise.
