After deciding to move forward, a representative came to my home the next day for an on-site consultation and estimate. We feel like the estimate was accurate and fair. The car was picked up and a rental car was dropped off at my home in less than a week. There was a minor delay due to the winter storm but we were kept informed on progress and when we could expect the car to be returned. The team handled all paperwork and communication with our insurance company. I had a minor issue with the rental car. I made a phone call, explained the situation. A replacement car was delivered to my location within two hours. We were very pleased with the results and will definitely recommend this business to family and friends. Bad. Strike that. Very bad. I initially had lots of questions and while I got some answers they were pretty murky and evasive. When they returned my vehicle the windshield had not been replaced and when I questioned them they indicated that due to clerical errors on their part that they had lost money on the job and couldn't replace the windshield as quoted. However, somehow magically, they COULD replace the glass if I agreed to give them the work on my other two damaged vehicles. These folks appear to me (again, my opinion) to be some pretty evolved scam artists. I don't believe they can be trusted and couldn't recommend them under any circumstances. The work they did appeared to be satisfactory, they just didn't do what they said they'd do. It's interesting that their name is Dent Mechanic Group yet they have a single location. I think they probably make some of their revenue negotiating with insurance companies. One of my insurers is a big name national company and they referred to them as a "partner". I wonder what Progressive would say about that. Run, don't walk to another provider! These guys are bad news. read more

The right rear bumper of my Corolla was dented when the driver of a pickup truck with a tow hatch backed in to my car in a parking lot. The driver asked if I'd accept payment out-of-pocket for repair expenses, and I agreed. I decided to use Yelp to submit requests for repair quotes from mechanic shops. Dent Mechanic Group was the most reasonably priced estimate that I received. The quote even included a discount as a "thank you" for using Yelp to find the business. I called in to discuss the quote and was assisted by David, who was such a pleasure to speak with that I decided to use Dent Mechanic Group for my car repairs. Further assisting me with scheduling my car drop-off was Faith, who was equally as pleasant as David. On the day of drop-off, I happened to be walking toward the main office at the same time as two mechanics who struck up a quick friendly conversation about the company. Great things must be happening here to keep employee morale high :) Whatever it is, is certainly appreciated. It took DMG about a week to complete the dent repairs to my car. It may be cliche to say, but the bumper really did turn out looking brand new. An added perk that I wasn't expecting was that my car was also detailed prior to me picking it up. They rushed the job, made plenty of mistakes, replaced a window that didn't need to be replaced, ( my entire vehicle has dark tint) took months to get it tinted and now the exterior trim is rubbing while closing the door, panels are rattling and a now it's back to having to make time to back to the shop and have to "prove" that it was their work that truly is needing the repair. read more

Like others, after a hail storm I was visited by a representative of Dent Mechanic offering services to repair the hail damage on my car. I was skeptical at first because he was very adamant and would go to my house unexpectedly to see if I was ready to proceed and start the process and kept referring to their reviews. After a few weeks I finally decided to let them do the hail repair on my vehicle due to the convince (or so I thought) of them picking up the car and bringing a rental for the duration of the repair. The day they came to pick up my car a guy shows up with a rental that had damage to the bumper. I refused to accept that rental because of the damage and told them my insurance had scheduled a rental with enterprise I could pick up instead. Pedro, the scheduler, was adamant that I did not get the rental my insurance scheduled and said he had another rental that was being sent out. Soon after, the driver did bring another rental however, this rental was dirty. It had not been washed or vacuumed. The driver said this was the only rental vehicle they had available and he didn't get a chance to clean it. Fine, I accepted it. When they returned my car the hail damage was repaired but I noticed some chips in the paint on the driver's side right away. I called the scheduler and told him of this right away before the driver left. At first he insisted the damage was pre existing. I took photos and sent them to him showing him the new damage and he said he had to get someone else to review it and give me a call back. The following week the guy that had initially convinced me to get the services done came out to compare photos and review the damage. He showed me the photos he had and agreed the damage was not pre existing as it was not on the photos taken prior to taking my car and said he would talk to his manager. After another week he told me the damage look like "sharp rock chips" (which it did not) and said they were going to do a paint job to repair the damage. I asked how this paint job was going to be done because I did not want them to simply apply paint over the damage because the chip was still going to be noticeable. No one was able to tell me the process they just said it will fix the chip and as a courtesy they would touch up any other chips that were pre existing. After another week of not getting answers I decided to let them "fix" the chip and I even told them, "I dont care about the pre existing damage I just want y'all to fix the damage that was done while the car was in your care." Turns out they hired a third party who was a mobile painter to come out to my house to do the "paint job" for the damage that was done while in their care. I sent pedro a text notifying him it was a horrible job and literally looks like paint was applied over but ofcourse haven't received a response and it's been well over 24 hrs. At this point I know not to expect a call from Dent Mechanic because it seems like they avoid communication if there is conflict involved. Image of what Dent Mechanic claimed was "rock chips". We were initially quoted a very reasonable amount. (We had small hail damage to hood and roof of car.) Once they had our car , they said it would be far more and contacted our insurance . Long story short, they had our car for over 3 weeks. When it was finally dropped off, it had a long deep scratch down side. They claimed it was there. I had pictures though so they relented . They said they would send someone to house to do work . A couple of days and no one had still come. Called again and they finally sent some subcontractor to our house. He did a horrible job . Tried to sand out scratch and put on multiple gloss top coats . You could see now what is multiple scratches (in his attempt to "fix" the deep long scratch). We called manager. They came back and took care of back to shop and a couple of days later our car was finally returned. All in all a bad experience and we would not recommend this business to anyone. They quote low but jack price up once they get vehicle and car is not safe at the shop . read more

Poor Communication. Terrible Customer Service. They Lose Items. I decided to trust Dent Mechanics with my luxury vehicle and their service is POOR. First, I got a dirty rental car. Second, whenever I had questions after signing the contract, their staff refused to communicate in a timely manner. Then finally, when I had an issue with a lost $500 necklace, their staff didn't respond to my multiple attempts to contact them and find it. Then 3 months later, I get the pleasure of speaking with Joseph who is a real liar. He blamed me for waiting 3 months to find this necklace when in fact, his staff (Charissa and Oscar) never responded to my multiple attempts to locate the necklace. It's very obvious how poor this business is run because employees don't work there for long and their staff is incompetent in communication. Bottom line, they will give you poor service, no communication after you sign your contract, and blame you when they're in the wrong. There are plenty of dent repair companies out there, do yourself a favor and stay away from this one. read more

I had some work done here with a rear bumper that is plastic. I had received an estimate and had planned to use Dent Mechanic right away but had to wait several months due to settlement from a big box store that damaged the bumper. I was concerned that due to the time waiting for the insurance payment the estimate might go up but it didn't at all. Dent Mechanic honored the original estimate and they did a little extra to make the repair complete. The work is a perfect match on paint and also workmanship. I've had no issues at all and would recommend them for paint repairs and such to your vehicle. The time for completion was quick too. Never again trusting anyone who walks the neighborhoods advertising their business this was the most awful experience ever let's just say i learned my lesson and won't be using this company ever again I trusted the employees who came and knocked on my door and told me about this business they explained all the benefits of using them they even told me they could fix the hail damage on my vehicle and were very confident it would get done which is why I used them they gave me a rental car to use in the meantime while they had my car come to find out they decided my car was not fixable and had my insurance company total out my car not to mention they never once told me that there was going to be a storage fee of keeping my vehicle so I had to pay a lot of money just to get my car back from them and when I got my car back I inspected it to make sure nothing was wrong as I was checking I noticed lots and lots of scratches that were not there when they took it and my paint was messed up like they hit my door with something I am not happy with this company at all so I took my vehicle to get a second opinion and they told me my car should of never been totaled out and it could've been fixed and company's like this want nothing but your money and your insurance money they don't care about you or your vehicle they will tell you literally anything to get you to use them my insurance company won't let me reverse it because they told them they didn't believe it was fixable I've only had my car 4 months it's my first car and now I have to let it go since I decided to use this rip off of a company my fault for being so trusting of people it's sad how they do this to people read more

The plastic siding on the side of my car broke off partially a few months ago, forcing me to open the driver side front door before the rear one or risk knocking the whole piece off. I reached out to several places but had trouble getting availability, and a lot of places didn't even know if they could repair the issue. Then I finally connected with Dent Mechanic Group. They got me in to see them the next day, and fixed my issue in under an hour - some places had said I'd need to leave my car for 4-5 days! They were extremely friendly and professional, and had a very clean and organized work area. I probably waited 30 seconds once I arrived before I was taken care of. The staff was great to work with; David was my contact and he really made sure that what he promised was delivered. I was in a time crunch to get my wife's car hail damage repaired, in order to get it back in time for her to start work again after the holiday break. I needed assurances that the car would be back or I would need to wait until another date, but they assured me they could do this. Everything had to go perfect to pull off this tight timeline. DMG worked hand-in-hand with my insurance adjuster and everything went just as planned. I brought in the car at 9:15am on 12/31/2019 (Tuesday/New Year's eve) and they gave me a loaner car in the meantime. The adjuster showed up as planned less than 2 hours later that same day. I was called by DMG at 11:20am that the insurance adjuster and DMG both already agreed on the damage and the work would start immediately. My insurance guy literally called 5 minutes after that to let me know the same thing; he told me that DMG had everything ready for him and they made it so easy to work with them, he said that is not normally the way things go in his job and that he was super impressed by DMG. That really put my mind at ease, because I knew the process was going as smooth as it could get. I was called on Monday morning (1/6/2019) that the car was ready to be picked up. For those of you that are counting, that was only 3 1/2 days to get over $3000 worth of hail damage fixed, since they barely started on 12/31, were closed on New Years Day, then Thursday and Friday, called me Monday morning...can't get faster than that. I had to wait until the next day and picked it up the morning of 1/7/2019 (that's today, Tuesday). Just have to say thank you David and DMG for getting this done so fast; even with this being a 'slow' time for hail repair, that was super fast and just what I needed in my time crunch. Originally I was going to go with another shop that I was happy with, but they were closed until 1/6/2020 and that wasn't going to work for me. My Passat was taken from Copperas Cove, TX the Guy Tim kept me informed the entire time but failed to inform me of the quality of his workers. Jamaal Thomas brought be back my Passat around 9 pm which already alerted me that their was going to be issues if I could see them. Yea the hail damage was fixed but, now my car has new dings, metal shavings, scratches all over it. It stuck all over the trunk and the rear panel of my car all kinds of debris stuck to my paint and windows. My car paint is scratched, dents hunch the name of the company scratches from the tools used. Get this so they were supposed to the inner parts back used to do the fix nope I had to do that also. so, what did I get from the experience my insurance company being ripped off and two hundred in my pocket. I guess I'll use the two hundred as part of the down payment to get Caliber Collision to fix their mess up. Do not recommend these guys. My first attempt at doing business with PDR was NOT the ideal customer experience. A posted Yelp Deal (which no employee in the office at the time knew about) caught my attention to pay $200 for $500 worth of service. During my first visit to the office, the technician and the front desk associate had some great dialogue (right in front of this new customer) about how the deal didn't make sense from a business perspective and they needed to check with the owner first because they weren't aware of the Yelp Deal. "He must have forgot to tell us." At that point I was asked to come back on Monday. Monday comes and I drove back to the office and the response was virtually the same... they were still waiting to talk to the owner, and offered to take my name and number on this 2nd attempt to give them my business. Tuesday evening comes and still no update, so I decide to call back [again]. The owner answered the phone and explained in more eloquent terms how he made a mistake uploading the coupon and has since removed it from Yelp after it had already been up 3 days. Reason for 2 stars in stead of 1? Everyone was SUPER friendly at the office as they told me they can't and won't honor a coupon the owner of the business may or may not have erroneously uploaded. I wouldn't trust these guys. I had 2 cars fixed by them and took almost 2 months to get them back. I read some of their reviews and are accurate. They have a horrible customer service! They made a lot of money from my insurance and when I got my 2 cars back, there are some items that was broken. A/C, all of a sudden, wasn't working in one of my cars upon delivery of my car. My friend, told me, some contractors would indeed siphon the freon out of cars and that made me suspect it was what happened. Sure I didn't have proof, but in all of my 3 cars, I never had A/C issues. The A/C on my first car of 20 years still works! Not only that, both cars have broken parts upon arrival. The other car's rear window tint all of a sudden has lots of bubbles as if they installed tint on the glass, which already had tint because I had the dealer install it in 2017 when I bought the car! Beware of these guys! Sure they fixed my hail storm dent issues and I wouldn't say I was scammed but I really felt I GOT SCAMMED! I was referred to Dent Mechanic by my boyfriend, they were in our neighborhood promoting their company. I choose to go with them because of their high reviews and everyone spoke well about them online. They pride in a 5 star rating and they repeat it a million times in person and over the phone. If they pride on a 5 star rating as a client my expectations are set high but unfortunately that was not my experience. Anthony Woods was our sales rep, he took my Jeep in and told me my Jeep will be done within 2 weeks. After he took my Jeep they confirmed it was at the shop and that was it, I never heard back from them in 7+ days. I wanted to know updates and not be kept in the dark. I called to verify what was happening and they had told me they were still going back and forth with my insurance. Totally understandable but have that communication with me from the beginning... do not leave your clients hanging. After that incident our communication with them was A+, my Jeep was picked up on 06/30/20 and dropped off on 07/17/20 (2 weeks and 3 days) perfect timing. Drop off Day two nice gentlemen's dropped off my Jeep and it was hail free, all my dents were repaired, except 1 and the paint was chipped, and we noticed my roof had scuff marks and the paint was removed. My Jeep did not have them prior to leaving my home, I have proof of photos and videos before my Jeep was sent to them. I addressed it to Anthony and so did his coworkers they took photos and sent it his way. He sent a person to paint it and fix it. It looks ghetto, imagine paint being taken off with scuff marks and someone comes with whiteout to fill in the areas... that's not acceptable! Especially if those scuff marks were done by their shop. Clearly I was not happy and I phoned him right away. He said he would get back to me, it's been a MONTH now and I have not heard back from him at all. I feel scammed. They are in business of getting money out of insurance companies and they do it very well. It felt like they kept my car hostage. They gave me false expectations. They did not address all my dents. My car actually had an extra dent when I popped in because no one was calling me back. They specialize in excuses and not taking accountability. I'm not sure who's giving them all these great reviews because the way that I was treated was less than a valued customer. They charged my insurance company thousands of dollars for a little quarter debt. I wanted my car back within two days if them picking up my vehicle. ******Always Follow Your Intuition****** This place wasted my time in top of feeling scammed. They lied to me on several i occasions. My phone happened to pick up on one of the conversation. I would there's a lack of integrity and morals. I did not find that there.
