I think this Dennys is really good. ..the service was fast. ..the waitresses checked on us many times. .was here 2 diff times. First time had the sirloin steak in I think bourbon sauce with potatoes and green peppers and a couple of eggs ..it was great...the next time some bacon egg potatoe on a sizzling platter. ..both times every thing tasted, good, hot and fresh. Very disappointed in the slow service with barely a quarter (counted 4 other tables filled with customers) of the restaurant filled. Don't order the nachos if your expectations are how they're pictured in the menu--hardly any cheese (except for in the center) melted on the chips, never was asked if I wanted a refill on iced tea, in fact, never saw our waiter once the food was served except to give us the bill. read more

ate here on June 27 a Saturday morning. Walked into Denny's and experienced a lot of LOOKS. Tons of Farmers in the town. Staff at Dennys was friendly expecially our server. Server/hostess, not sure where the real Hostess was(maybe on break) she showed up a bit later. The Food was Dennys style like in 808. The people came in droves after we showed up and had order.. I loved the food but the manager was texting on his phone while charging us, so unprofessional.

The breakfasts are always good here. You pretty much can't go wrong with ordering that. However, the steaks leave much to be desired. They are usually pretty dry... even if you order rare (major weirdness). I will say... the soups ROCK!!! And, the salads are pretty awesome. The staff are always friendly and do a great job. My wife and I stopped in here on our way down the coast and the nachos we ordered were really good. I mean Denny's for nachos? Really? What a total surprise at how great they were. Better than Taco Bell for sure and they make the chips fresh right there. I also had an Italian soda made with Vanilla Coke which was delicious. Finally, the server was wonderful and friendly. We were promptly seated, and the guy who seated us took our drink order and promptly retrieved our drinks. The waiter took forever to come get our order, which is stressful with a 2 and 3 year old. The food was good, I had the chicken gouda skillet which is always excellent. Then we ate our meal refreshment free because our waiter had vanished. After sitting while finished for about 10 minutes, my husband flagged down the waiter and asked for our check. Here's the real disappointment; with two tired Ansy children, no one came to ring us out for 10 minutes. We stood in the front and no one was around to help us out. It was absurd. As a side note, the restaurant was extremely clean and updated, the restroom was super clean. Everything was great, except the service, which is really a bummer. I really feel bad about a 2 star review, but I cant recommend this restaurant to families- and that's really what Dennys is all about :( read more

Terrible service and food. We waited a long time to be seated. Kids got coloring pages no crayons. Waited ten minutes or more for waitress. Ordered food and asked for crayons. She brought four used broken crayons and I thought ok maybe they're running low but nope there's a giant box of brand new ones up front. Got our order. Never got silverware or a refill on water and had to wait with my wallet in hand for maybe ten min to find her for the check. Not one person greeted us or seemed friendly. Knew what we were going to get here. Usually go to a family joint, but that was closed for remodel. Very greasy food looks nothing like their pictures. Waitress either hard of hearing or did not care. Will not go back. read more

Food was ok and service was good but had ants on table and table was dirty. Mentioned it and waitress wiped it down and crushed a few ants.

Took over 20 minutes for someone to talk to us and only because my girlfriend went to the front desk. Her hot chocolate came out unmixed without whip cream and both our eggs over cooked. Manager avoided us and when asked to speak to him, they said he stepped out. Horrible experience, next time we come in town, we know where not to go. yes I'm giving a five star rating to a Denny's...and here's why...most Denny's your lucky to get either a cool waitress or your questionable quality food in a timely manner, not both...here, not only was the food surprisingly good, but the server, Michelle F was one of the best anywhere I've been...and here on the coast, where dodgy waitresses are a dime a dozen, she was a breath of fresh air...killer sense of humor, very on the spot when we needed anything, and the food made for a great time...if you go here, try and get Michelle F as a server, you won't be disappointed... read more

It was my first time at this Denny's by the coast, and was amazing. Not only was the food good but the waitress Vanessa was so friendly!

Went there Saturday night and the Restauraunt was maybe half full. We were sat fairly fast but that was the end of any kind of service we recirced. It took over ten minutes to be waited on and get drinks. We ordered at 625pm and didn't recieve our food until 735pm. That's right over one hour from order till our food was in our table. I will NEVER go back to this dennys. Other tables that were sat after us got there food before us. We both really like dennys but will never return to this one. Also I didn't get the bill and had to go to the register for it. I was so upset I just paid and left. Now looking back on the amount we were charged was for more then what we had ordered. read more

Truly, I feel sorry for the horrible way the servers are spoken to here by the manager Irina. They get very busy at this Dennys, like most, and Irina boasts about her experience in restaurants yet all I've heard her do on my many visits is bitch at the staff. I say bitch because that's what it is, not leadership. I have seen 3 servers cry due to Irina's inappropriate behavior handling situations in front of customers, and even one left in tears and quit. Some of the servers really are terrible, but you reap what you sow. Its terribly hard to work under that kind of stress. Help must be extremely hard to find if this bitter, foul mouthed woman is who they ended up having in charge. Perhaps some training may have been a good idea, try to teach her how to speak to others. For now I'd suggest replacing her before your business ends up just another bad investment at the coast. read more

i took my son for his birthday meal, it was nice that they let him chose from the regular menu and i paid the difference between what he ordered and the grandslam meal thats free, he doesnt like pancakes, his burger was real nice! very big and filling, however my meal i ordered was horrible! the worst! was a turkey club sandwich with fries and there was hardly any meat at all. the avocado that came on it, WHAT avocado it was one thin slice and my meal was cold! when i order a grilled sandwich i expect it to be hot and cheese melted. the wait staff was so busy running around trying to do a million things at once that we waited 20 min. to be seated then sat and waited over 20 min just to place our order! i mean in know its dennys not red lobster, but damn it get your shit together hire more waist staff so people arent waiting around and hire cooks who send out hot food! read more

The service sucked so bad. It took forever to get anyone to come by so we could order drinks. The people that were sitting behind us came in 5 mins after us and were helped right away. After we were finally able to order another couple came in and sat there for 20 mins and no one even came by to take there order so they got up and walked out. Then the waitress went in the back and went off on how those people were rude for doing that loud enough so everyone could here. When we finally got our food we asked for some hot sauce and the waitress said sure she never came back and we had to hunt her down to get the check. We will never eat there again. read more

Got food, and never saw waitress again. She disappeared to the prep area. Ate 2/3 of meal without anything to drink. We have been here before, with very nice service. What happened? We stopped in for food. Two breakfast and two lunch. We were sitting down for almost 40 minutes before our food arrived. The waitress seemed to be trying, perhaps the cook staff was having a rough day. They made veggie burgers, on the same dirty grill, which must have had bbq sauce on it. The people around us must have ordered something quick and simple, because their orders were done fast. All in all, will have to find somewhere else to eat. I was cash poor and just ordered a bowl of soup, I'm guessing it was 2-3 days old, kept hot the whole time. It was called loaded baked potato, if I were to name it I would call it creamed potato. There was only 3-4 chunks of mushy potatoes in it and when I told the waitress I thought it would have more potatoes in it she didn't have anything to say. It was very salty, runny and rich with heavy cream, I only ate it because I was very hungry, I wouldn't eat that if it was free at a soup kitchen. Service was fine and expedient. read more

My family and I went here and it really sucked. The restaurant only had a couple of other customers. It took over an hour for our food to come. And they screwed up everyone's order. The waitress seemed very unfamiliar with the menu. One person in my family ordered a strawberry waffle. The entry came with no strawberries. When we asked for strawberries. The waitress came with 6 little strawberries 30 minutes later. The bathrooms were filthy. The garbage was flowing over. Behind our table yet another customer had their ordered screwed up. My wife and I ate here on Mar. 14th, 2014 around 8pm(ish). To start - we've been all over the West Coast, during our moves, vacations and normal road trips, and we've eaten at several Denny's establishments before. This one was exceptional and I feel obligated to give them a positive review. Our waiter was 100% friendly, funny and amazingly enough, honest! The lady who seated us seemed very friendly too - in fact, I heard her in the back giving assistance to the other waiters. They all seemed close knit and very upbeat & happy to be there. Our food came at a very reasonable time and was well prepared & tasted better compared to the other establishments. I ordered a sandwich that I assumed would be greasy - given our previous experience - and it wasn't bad at all. Also, the bathrooms were spotless, as was the rest of the whole facility. This was overall a very positive experience - compared to the Salem, Oregon establishment. We ate at the Salem Denny's last year and that one was just raunchy. My wife's food came and it was disgusting, and I ate about half of mine until I found a long, black curly hair in my food. We asked for a replacement and I could hardly eat any morez as my appetite was gone. That hair looked like a pubic hair! To add on top of that, the manager said it appeared that I ate some food, so obviously my appetite was intact, so she didn't refund anything. We left there with strong words and do not anticipate to ever return to that one! Alas, the Tillamook establishment was certainly amazing - we left our waiter a larger than usual tip and plan on returning there again soon! read more

After reading reviews I decided to give a shot. I had travelled a lot,and Denny's was often a choice place during my stops. What can I say about THIS place. Well, the service was ok with a hint of an attention deficit towards the order. The food ... looked like a large droppings chaotically dropped on my plate. My hash potatoes contained a tiny pieces of burned hamburger ( dirty plates or dirty kitchen ???) all vegetables and mushrooms were burned, saggy and cold except for the part covered by eggs. I have doubt that fresh salad ever had been served there. People, this place is a wrong place for boosting your adrenaline level, I advice to avoid it if your health has any value to you. read more

Best. Denny's. Ever. My husband, 8-year-old son, and I are traveling in an RV. We pulled into Tillamook, Oregon tonight at 8pm and were hungry. My son has a severe peanut and tree nut allergy which makes eating out challenging. We decided to try Denny's. Our waitress Jill was not only friendly, but she took our allergy questions very seriously -- she even brought Mike, the Manager, over to talk with us. It was clear right from the start that they both understood what was at stake. Once we figured out the pancake mix was in fact safe for our son, we were concerned about the peanut butter pancake on the menu. Mike let us know that peanut butter never comes in contact with the grill. But just to be safe the Chef went above and beyond and even cooked them in a separate pan -- without us asking. You can't underestimate how amazing it is for my son to order what he wants at a restaurant -- and to be assured it's safe. He absolutely loved his meal. My husband and I both had delicious Grand Slams and they were served hot, quickly, and exactly as we ordered them. I've eaten at much fancier restaurants and haven't felt so well taken care of. Kudos to Jill, Mike, and the fantastic Tillamook, Oregon Denny's Chef for an amazing meal -- you guys do dining right. read more

We stopped here on the way through Tillamook during a road trip. What a HUGE mistake. The waitress was nothing but rude and unfriendly. She acted like she was swamped while handling four very easy tables. It took her 10 min to even come to our table, and when she got there she said "I didn't want to overload the cook." There were only maybe a dozen tables with customers in the whole place! When the food finally arrived, it was absolutely horrible. It looked like the cook just slopped everything on a plate, and it tasted like it had been sitting out all day. She didn't return to the table for another 20 min. After waiting another 15 min for them to replace the brick of grits they brought my husband with something actually edible, he told them to just take it off the bill when he still didn't have them. Horrible experience. Avoid this place!! The Burger King next door would have even been better. read more
