All items listed were 15.00+. Ordered from an online menu as I wasn't looking for a feast. Well food arrived about 30 mins later. Restaurant wasn't busy. And waitress never came to fill empty coffee. The pancakes were still raw. And my over medium eggs were slimy. Entire plate was doused in butter. And only saw here when she dropped the bill. The ac vents were dripping condensation. I grew up with Denny's and have visited them in many locations. Who doesn't know about their iconic "Slams!" The last time I visited this one was three years ago, and the food was good, and the service sucked. This time was different. Arriving- They are on the northbound side of US Route 27 and the signage is great. You can't miss them. Parking is a snap. Ambience- Don't get too excited! It's a Denny's and they all have the same look. The difference here is this one was immaculate and well maintained from top to bottom. My booth was pristine, and the carpet was spotless! I was very impressed. Pro Tip- Free Wi-Fi but it's a bit of a process to sign in. Customer Service- My server was the perfect argument for cloning! She was just amazing in every way. I queried a manager when I was leaving, and she has been a server there for 19 years! Food- The usual giant laminated menu with the first few pages devoted to everything breakfast. Every American style breakfast item is there with a little Mexican thrown in here and there. I went with a pick-four, build-your-own omelet that of course came with hash browns and toast. I added coffee and with tax the pre-tip tab was $22! Sticker shock! With tip over $25 for breakfast at a Denny's is ridiculous. Welcome to the post-pandemic inflationary world! So, I sipped on great coffee and my meal came out in about ten minutes which was great. The omelet was well cooked and tasted great with plenty of fillings. The hash browns were perfect. As you can see from my picture, the plate is a little bland looking. For that kind of $$, they need to add some zip to the top of the omelet so it's more attractive. Arriving early at 6:15 (couldn't sleep), I ordered coffee and a French Toast slam. That first cup of coffee took a good ten minutes to arrive, but after that my cup was refilled plenty. The French Toast arrived promptly. I had asked for "all sausages, no bacon" but instead of substituting the bacon for more sausages, I just got the two of them. And I wasn't offered any syrup either. Not enough to complain about (do I really need that much more fat and sugar?), I enjoyed the eggs (cooked nicely) and the French toast had an excellent taste and consistency. The restaurant was clean inside and out, the one waitress on duty was running pretty ragged taking orders, delivering food, seating customers and doing the register too. Poor gal! read more

DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE!!! Tried this location for the first time Friday (2-7-2020) at 3 pm. There were 3 servers, but 2 were mainly busing dirty tables leftover from the lunch hours. The young gal server and tall young guy waiter decided it was better to clear tables and re-set them instead of waiting on customers. Because of this, hell broke loose in the dining room with late orders and loud arguments. Why there was no busboy to do this, is anybody's guess. One elderly gal was waiting on every table, and also did cooking (will explain later) and the cashiering. The younger gal waitress and the elderly one both got into arguments with customers. The elderly one was constantly screaming to various tables to be patient, as everyone complained about late orders. The younger one put two women in a booth next to mine and said, "you are better off here because there are noisy kids in the other section. I hate kids!" The customer said "I like kids." For which the waitress argued "Why? They're loud and sticky!" I ordered a sandwich to eat in and told the elderly waitress to also make the large loaded nacho platter "to go." I never saw the waitress again after she delivered the sandwich. I had to walk up to her and ask about the nacho order. She said that she would have to make it herself, as "the cook left!!!" After an eternity of waiting, she finally brought the to-go order to my table. I asked where the bill was. She said the machine was broken, just come up to the register. After paying I was not given a receipt. This sounded fishy to me, so I demanded a receipt. She became bothered and told me she would have to go to a machine near the kitchen to print it out. I finally got out of this insane asylum and went home. When I uncoverd the nacho platter, it was obvious that a cook did not prepare it. The majority of it was a thin white sauce which I could not identify. There were no tomato or onion, which is a big part of any loaded nacho platter. There was a small amount of ground meat and cheddar cheese, but not really worthy of the $10 price. She did pack a large amount of tortilla chips and sour cream. The meat and cheese in the seasoned sauce was tasty, but everything was overwhelmed by the thin white liquid, and the lack of tomato / onion didn't help. I ate the food at about 5 pm. At about 10 pm I felt (and heard) unusual things happening in my stomach. And then at around 11 pm I vomited. When the waitress told me that she would have to prepare the nachos, I should have been smart enough to cancel the order. Firstly, she didn't make it correctly. Why would she? She'd never been trained to do it. Secondly, she had been handling filthy money full of germs during her shift. Who knows if she took the time to wash her hands and wear gloves while making the nachos. Probably not, as she was also in the middle of waiting 10 tables at the same time. I'm going to copy this to Denny's Headquarters and the franchisee owner if I can find him / her. Undoubtedly, this crew broke 5 to 10 rules that franchisee employees must adhere to. Not to mention state / federal rules. Whoever heard of a waitress not giving a bill or receipt to a customer? That is just beyond belief wacko. Quite frankly, not producing bills or receipts gives a server the opportunity to keep money for herself. Normally I've had good luck with Denny's all over the country. Can't call me a complainer. I stopped with my 85 year old mother in law and my brain damaged sister in law for lunch. It was passably clean. Our server, Chris, was rudely impatient with them because it took them a while to place their orders and he was not happy that they asked a couple questions. When our food came, it was cold. I had to ask for ketchup, salt, pancake syrup and jelly. He acted like it was a chore to pick stuff up off another table and plop it onto ours. The salt was one big clump and the top on the syrup was clogged closed. Oh, yes, and they did not get their biscuits and gravy at all and not one drink refill. Ordered coffee and a water. I was brought a napkin and cutlery pack with no spoon. Asked for a spoon and cream and sugar Was told there are no spoons. They get lost or taken and they have no spoons. So I asked well what do I stir my coffee with. The waitress responded that most people use their fork or knife. As I had already used mine I said so I guess I'm just supposed to wipe my knife and she offered to go get me another one. We had a delightful dinner at Denny's last night. I've read some of the other reviews and I realize sometimes there are "issues" with short staff and waiting for service. When we entered only one section was open (they were not very busy). There were probably eight tables being used and one waitress who seated us, took our order, bussed tables, and ran the front register. This was like Super Waitress" who did all these things efficiently and gracefully. I wish I knew her name to include (she was the only waitperson yesterday at about 5pm). We ordered the crispy Brussels sprouts as an app and I could go there just to eat those. They were roasted with a sweet and savory flavor. They were excellent. Mind you, this is Denny's we're talking about. This is not a gourmet establishment. But they get the basics right. I ordered chicken fried steak with hash browns and two poached eggs. The steak and its gravy were spot on. The hash browns were fresh and lacked the rancid fry taste another local establishment serves out with their hash browns. The eggs were perfectly poached and I had some sourdough bread toast to dunk into them. All of our food was piping hot. I'm trying to address some of the issues other Yelpers have had in order to illustrate that sometimes it's just your bad experience. We almost didn't go here because of the negative reviews. But now, thanks to Yelp, we can also see food inspection scores. This Denny's had few violations and none of them were critical. So, just because some reviews have been bad I want to commend them for doing a fine job. Obviously restaurant reviewing is subjective and no two people will have the same experience. read more

I also ordered 2 of the Apple Crisp Desserts. I was able to place the order fairly quickly upon arriving. They were not busy. Maybe 10 tables in the whole place! 30 MINUTES AFTER PLACING THE ORDER, I was told that they only has one serving of the dessert, so I then chose a different one for the second dessert. At 45 minutes of waiting, what I guess to be the manager, came and cashed out my check, and I paid him, and he told me to enjoy my food. I ASK HIM WHAT FOOD? I DON'T HAVE IT YET! He ask the waiter about the food and I was told it would be up in a few minutes. By this time most of the 10 tables that were in there when arrived had left and maybe a couple of others had come in. At this point ONE HOUR AFTER PLACING MY ORDER, I was told they were sorry it was taking so long, that they were backed up. SO I ASK, BACKED UP FROM WHAT, you have 6 tables in here. I've always loved Dennys. I like the convenience of being able to have breakfast 24/7. I've been coming to this location since I was a little girl. It's changed over the years. It's definitely a work in progress right now. The food has gotten better, especially the pancakes! Love em thick! I can only speak for the late night hours, but this location is a required stop! My server was Brian, who was a rare mix of friend, professional, and fast in taking and delivering the order. What a rockstar! There were plenty of power outlets and good WiFi, making it a great location for me to get work done before taking off. I'll be coming back! read more
